Oh buddy... You have no idea how Ghostface can be strong. Ghostface just needs a good hiding spot and you will be already exposed, and the fact that he doesn't make any sound in Night Shroud, it makes him the best stealth killer in the game. You don't even need to use his power properly by stalking, you can just sneak up on people and get a free hit/grab + all stealth killers will get buffed soon with him, so yeah it will be scary to play against him.
And if the survivors are ballsy and smart, you'll lose your power every time you activate it and will spend more time hiding from them than pressuring.

Things will always change. I bought the Legion and enjoyed them, now I'm playing them after their 'rework' cause I'm addicted to self punishment.
But I agree, Inner Strength shouldn't be touched at all. Though, it's unlikely it'll be touched.
I was mostly referring to what they did to old Freddy and GF, Legion's changes made him at least better since his first version was a sad excuse for an m2 killer.

You mean Ghostface? He is not trash though.
But killers like Legion and Plague, yeah they're weak.
Okay, how in the world is GF better than Legion and Plague? He presses m2, loses a power in 1,5 seconds of being stared at (literally the killer that gets destroyed the most by survivor awareness), has to wait 30s to recharge only to have the process be repeated.
Plague needs so little to either have everyone permanently injured or have 60s of minigun hatchets. Legion might be m1 but at least he can have some pressure by injuring people.

Which is usually (not really, but not my point) necessary. Anyways, there's still the point of it not mattering when you buy the DLC. Something will always change down the line.
That's what I'm afraid of, buying the dlc and having them nerf it's content a week later. And it's not just about the killer, I also hope they don't nerf inner strength.
-
@Ihatelife said:
What's the point? A lot of dbd players and stranger things fans are gonna buy this chapter. People just wanna play something new though
What's the point of playing a killer that'd start out good but then get nerfed to trash?
-
@TheBean said:
Not a bad idea for some of the baby killer mains.
Wait till after the nerf cause then everyone doesn't have to hear you whine about buying the killer and it getting nerf'ed shortly afterwards.
Save everyone the trouble. That should help keep the killer queues down a bit aswell.
I however don't care if they make changes afterwards.
Found the toxic survivor main. Go dwell on hybridpanda and noob3's channels where your opinions will get praised. Nah who am I kidding? Your survivor biased opinions will get praised here too.
-
@Shad03 said:
I'll still buy for the perks. Besides, like @antgnstea said, what difference is there buying day 1 or some other day?
Devs tend to collect more feedback (aka survivor whining) even after official release, and they mostly announce hotfixes (aka unnecessary killer nerfs) in the span of 2 weeks after official release.

His name should be Tru3Camp3r, I was watching his stream before till that day i saw he camps a downed survivor to avoid DS and i asked why camping, is it true talent? And what? They immediately banned me.
He usually bans people who falsely accuse him for stuff he doesn't do, alongside general #########.

Their are plenty of rank 1s who don't agree with Tru3, so we should just listing to tru3, why? I've seen plenty of tru3 gameplay and he is indeed a great player. I'm not here to trash on the dude, but coming from other games in the past that were actually E-sports, streamers think they know best their too, and pro players actually laugh at them.
This game is far from balanced at most ranks due to killer variety and map layout, nothing much will change there unless the map become static, and killers tied to certain maps due to mobility weakness. Also, survivors that know how to loop need incentive to even be at higher ranks. " My number is red, look at me"
This is a game where the guy you idolize sit in a locker for a majority of a match versus a nurse and lets his teammate die in the basement to sit on a gen. He consistently talks about how Billy is easily loopable, but manages to get one shot multiple times at a very quick rate by Billy mains. By those standars the best loopers are still losing in solo queue very consistently, and I've heard him multiple times complain about his teammates never doing gens, but lets balance around SWF, and the best loopers with RNG pallets/ lag in this game.
If you don't believe me, I'll look for the clips of him just being insta downed and sitting in lockers, but I'm sure you watch all his streams.
I never said loopers are impossible to catch, they can be caught, but by the time you do, all gens will be done, especially if they camp a broken loop like cowshed, myers house etc.

Nobody is talking smack about tru3.. He has his own opinion and perspective on things, but it doesnt mean its right. Claiming it's facts just shows your bias lol
He plays this game consistently every single day at rank 1 (excluding when he goes on holidays). He understands this game quite well, unlike some people on these forums who try to justify DS by saying "don't tunnel 4head" or anything like that.
-
All this #########-talk about TrU3 because he states facts. Sad. Just sad.
-
I predicted in his comment section that someone will post this on forums, but I'm genuinely pleased that not many people started calling out the hell out of him because "he didn't apply pressure"

Funny how killers get access to a wide range of perks and powers that take away a health state yet something that gives the survivors an extra health state is considered broken...
Even without extra hit perks it's already hard to play killer, old MoM made tearing off your own skin sound sexy compared to playing killer.

Only David with DH and Meg with SB, that's about it, maybe Jane with HO and Bill with UB.

why nerf , he isnt even op . he is mid tier atm , his lunges will be easily avoided by smart survivors , but as and reward he can mingame and canel lunge to catch them , his portal placement is meh since u cant even replace old portals , and his addons are bad like every other new killer since rework legion
Knowing BHVR, they might still find a way to nerf him. I pray that survivors start dodging his lunge ASAP.

Actually, people have been saying his teleport is very annoying when only 3 gens are left, and with his ability to see survivors working on gens near portals with his killer instinct, it makes it ridiculously hard to complete one last gen of the three remaining gens, since he always knows on which gens survivors are working, and he can teleport to those gens very fast.
Here's a bright idea: DON'T 3 GEN YOURSELF

ds and adrenaline are fine. adrenaline is a reward u may not always get and ds punishes bad killer play.

You want to take away my ivory but keep ds and adren? God I hope you're just sarcastic and not ignorant af....
-
There's only 1 purpose for it: avoiding giving killer remember me stacks. But even that doesn't matter since Pig's endgame got gutted and Freddy got reworked into being more chaotic. AND remember me got nerfed.

That's just a load of BS. Killers have received many buffs within the last year. They don't tweak them to let them get bullied. Killers aren't that weak anymore.
Not as weak as they once were, but most killers can't deal with cream of the crop survivors. Yes I can agree that there's only like 3-4 low tier killers left out of soon 17 total, but there's still only 2 that can truly deal with optimal survivors.
-
@Freudentrauma said:
They said values aren't final and might change until PTB and change until hitting life of course. It's a normal step during development a lot of perks and values get tweaked beforehand.
Correction, a lot of KILLER/KILLER PERK values get tweaked to make sure survivors have fun bullying them.
-
Again a camp-related thread becomes a cesspool of ignorance. If the other 2-3 survivors are running this during endgame while gates are open with the hooked survivor being your only objective, you're actively gonna have to lose the kill no matter what. Also it's freelo for survivors because 2 can just swarm the hook constantly while the last one rushes gens.
But hey! It's a must to let people go, because who cares what killers think, amirite? Killers are just AI so it's all about survivors. If it's fun for survivors, why care right?
-
@immortalls96 said:
No thanks..remove the one viable high tier addon Myers has? Nah...
You call wasting 3-4 gens worth of time stalking viable?
-
I said for billy
-
@Marcus said:
Tombstone is already weak and Fragrant Tuft of Hair also isn't too strong, double stalking add-ons are better on Myers IMO.
I know that, but since we're talking about removing/reworking the oldest loves of unskilled survivor mains, I'll happily have it removed
-
It has around 350 players average, but people still defend it by saying "hurrlul queue times don't exist". But the question is, who's gonna fund this game? Those 350 sure won't. And that's taking into consideration all of those 350 players are loyal enough to fund it, so the number would probably reduce to like 150 at best. Around 60 of those wouldn't spend more than 5 extra dollars on the game, so there's also that.
Imo they failed in advertising, the just paid some dbd yt-ers and streamers to play the game and that's it.
-
Okay so your problem seems to be low rank killers pushing new people away. Blame the devs for not explaining you need to hook and leave.
-
If it deactivated once you jump in a locker it'd be fine, this way it's obnoxious and unfun.
-
Keys and 2+ toolboxes are absolutely broken, I rest my case.
-
Why should the devs care? People already fed them enough $$$ for the Legion dlc. They got what they wanted and now they don't need to focus on making them better when they can just cash grab all the upcoming Stranger Things fanboys for that sweet scoops ahoy outfit.
-
@antgnstea said:
If people wanna ruin your game they will one way or another. And you shouldn't be forced to play in a game where you don't wanna play for some reason. You can't make good teammates by threatening them by punishments.
Um, that's ignorant. In league, games can be determined even in the lobby, let alone in game. Same in overwatch. Why should dbd be spared? "You can't make good teammates via punishments" and you can by letting them RQ like babies against any killer/perk/offering/add-ons they dislike?

Leatherface is a mediocre killer with good perks.
Loser Face™ is a walking joke with laughable perks.
I honestly don't see LF as being mediocre considering his power can only be used against people who can't loop at all.
-
@Rivyn said:
You really can't stop tunneling/camping, though. Killers are people too, who want to win. That definition differs from player to player. Some think making a guy dc, or face camping them equals winning. No amount of perks/bp loss is going to change that.
When you said "killers are people too" I felt warmth around my heart, purely because so many people don't realize that there's an actual human being controlling the bully toy that survivors see every game.
-
Imho they don't care whatsoever. They cash grabbed as much as they could from Scream fans, not they only care about cash-grabbing stranger things fans, and they just reworked Freddy. If they continue to do nice things for killers, survivor mains will start screeching about how they don't get anything nice. They know this, which is why they're nerfing Nurse.
-
These have priority due to not only size, but due to, with the exception of mother's and temple being the only map of their kind. There's no alternatives to Yamaoka, Haddonfield nor Ormond.
-
@Johnny_XMan said:
Oh yeah you forgot Shelter Woods.
The ones I mentioned have priority imo
-
@FichteHiro said:
I think Haddonfield and The Game should be reworked first.
If you are playing Killer on Haddonfield and all four Survivors have Balanced Landing, you are gonna have an extremely hard time hooking them.
The Game is kind of bad for both sides.
Honestly the game is BL heaven as well, just not to the same degree as Haddonfield. It's not that bad for killer since it has like 4 vault points.
-
@Groxiverde said:
Haddonfield the first please. Then the temple, that map should be renamed to: "pallet temple".
I forgot to mention that I said these maps in order, so yeah, Haddonfield first.

any augmenting add-on that gives you a boost in power there are a lot but because killers have powers they change because of the difference in power. Add-ons change your power a lot. Mori's, Map offerings. As for perks there are plenty of builds you can do a Bloodwarden build,genstopper build's, Build's based on map design a pallet destroyer build the list goes on and on.
Please name me one map other than maybe Game where killers have an advantage?

Please give me a list of things killers have that'd make a drastic change

@se05239 said:
The licenses help but I feel like the most important thing about DbD's success is that no rival as risen to fight it. There's no competition.
That's because they all had a certain issue.
- F13 has lawsuit issues and a severe lack of balance, even worse than dbd from what I've heard
- Sould at stake was a joke
- Devs of last year didn't bother releasing the game on steam
- Deathgarden was never properly advertised, which is why it's now sitting at <300 players.
-
Tbh as long as I'm not punished for excessive lobby dodging I'm fine with the game. Why? Because my only problems are keys and 2+ toolboxes. They can easily fix keys, and I might post my idea for a rework for keys some time.
I don't whine about everything they do. They nerfed Legion, didn't utter a word, they nerfed Pig's endgame, didn't say anything because I still worked through both of those things. They nerfed plague's vomit holding speed to 110%, didn't say a thing because I still do good with her.
However, when they do stuff like buff perks that are on the edge of being broken it becomes a problem.

And those survivors will die if the killer knows what they’re doing. Just because you can’t pressure gens doesn’t make people ignorant or dense, on big maps you have to choose 3-4 gens close by to properly pressure them. But sure, keep living under the false statement of “survivors don’t even have to try” those survivors will easily get stomped.
How do they have to try? There's a bag full of tools they can use to smash a killer into the ground. 4 man SWF with, say, 3 toolboxes and a key, all with DS and Adrenaline will destroy any non-viable killer if they're good enough.
I know what I'm doing when I'm not sleepy AF, I know my mindgames when I'm ready, but those mindgames only get you so far when they have tools to destroy you.
As for what you said about 3 gen strats, it's so easy to not let a killer 3 gen you. On bigger maps, those 3 gens will be even more split than on smaller like new Badham and the game. If a survivor decides to do 1 of those 3 gens, the other survivors can just do the other. If they see through your plan, you're through as well.
-
Okay so far you've called me a demented freak for wanting to be a power role as killer against 4 survivors. What a wonderful person you are. I don't want constant 4k's, but I don't want 0 chance games either where they just rush gens despite me still sweating my ass off.
That's another thing, why SHOULD I always sweat like hell when playing killer? Survivors don't sweat, it's super chill for them.
-
Dude. You have no idea how many kills I've lost because of that bug. It happens at least twice in every game. It's so frustrating, it feels like the game itself is shoving doctor's weapon up your bumhole as killer, as if it wasn't shoved deep enough already when you play killer in general.
-
"LUL DUDE JUST PRESSURE GENS U NEED MORE PRESSURE"
Yes, let me pressure a giant map like red forest, coldwind, haddonfield etc. as a killer without map pressure. People who say this sort of stuff are so dense and ignorant, and the worst part is, devs listen to this and do nothing about gens.
Also let me ask you this, why must killers always tryhard and sweat about pressuring gens, while survivors can mess around EVERY game they play? Why can't killers mess around and still get 4k's? Oh wait, because if you do, gens will fly by.
-
The only things in this game that I consider to be survivor catering are keys, instaheals and ds. Keys because, no matter the skill, it's an easy escape, instaheals because they removed everything else that was instant about survivors, this should be too, ds because you can still get hit by it despite chasing, downing and hooking a totally different person.
-
You're talking about the devs who pump out cosmetics at the price that is half the game's base price (if we completely ignore the fact that dbd is always 10$ on every steam sale).
