Been having issues with matches crashing ever since the latest update, I'm on Series S as well but it seems like DDossing is back

So in mine and my friend's case, our game is just bugging out, me and the rest of the lobby just got kicked from the game and my friend's controller is EMPing his Xbox causing the internet to shut off.
It also looks like the frame rate is worse

that too, that would be so nice, but I can admit sometimes I get my ass whooped by the killer, I should be able to give them a gg even if they aren't on Xbox
-
I already rarely face Billy as a survivor, now I'll probably never see him again, Billy was fun to play against, especially just seeing him fly through the air sometimes, it was hilarious. Now I won't get to see that again since a lot of Billy players probably won't play him anymore :(
-
my friend came up with a better SM design that sounds intimidating after I showed him your post
we came to the conclusion that Trickster is better than her for the fact that he actually looks insane
-
the case for me is, usually when I haven't been hooked in my teammates have it's because they played poorly. I do my very best to be a team player I help out with gens and I do everything I need to do to make sure everyone has a good chance of escaping, but then because the Killer is either tunneling, or my teammates just are playing bad. If my teammates can't hold chase for more than 5 seconds it isn't my responsibility to make sure they get out at that point.
If my teammates are actively helping though, or they are just being tunnel to the entire game then yes I will take hits and whatnot, but unfortunately with solo queue this is not always the case. Sometimes you just get bad teammates, but that point it won't be my responsibility, or if my teammate is throwing that's another reason why I wouldn't take chase or hits for them.
-
So if you get into a match with me (gamertag is Nyxturne) and I suddenly D/C it's not intentional I've been having a bug where it'll randomly disconnect me from matches and give me a penalty despite the fact I didn't disconnect myself, the big makes it where I can see the killers perks for some reason as well. That could be what's happening for some other people too (except for people who D/C on hook or first down, find it unlikely)
It's a strange bug/glitch but I don't know how to fix it
-
Just played again after not playing for awhile, so still a bit rocky, but overall not to bad, first match back was kinda good, just gonna play more and see how it goes

I’m sure you do. It sure is a good thing that anti-cheat improvements are constantly being worked on then.
That's a funny joke, there are so many hackers in this game that it's not even funny, with every new anti-cheat, there's a new chest the bypasses that it's a neverending cycle, hell all the streamers that got their cloud IDs leaked are also victims, Fog Whisperers are the only ones allowed to D/C without penalty, but sure, what glorious anti-cheat the developers have

I think gen speed/slowdown should be capped, or just remove every gen augmenting perk(since they'll always be the best perks) and add basekit measures to make them fair for both sides.
This, they've already added caps on other features in the game, so I would see no problem with them adding caps on gen speed related perks, if it gets to the point where both sides cancel each other out, then the gen speed would remain normal

Here's another my friends and I found during a custom match to test the chapter, for clarification we're on console.
So he used the bound ability on our other friend, slamming into me, and the screen went haywire for all three of us and the camera screwed up for a few seconds.
This will also happen randomly when you're the only one being hit.
Not sure if that's intentional, but holy #########.

Add in Guardian and go up to 117% speed so even normal speed killers will have a fine time. Might be the time for Boon: Dark Theory to finally shine to boost that escape velocity up to 119% and give normal killers that crazy 1% advantage :>
if it's end game, add in adrenaline or sprint burst and oh boy that's gonna be fun lmao

They just need to stop try to buff solo-queue with perk band-aid fixes, no one wants to waste several perk slots just so they can get the slightest bit of information, add some form of communication.
Chat wheel, icons for what that survivor is doing, ect. But every "buff" to solo-queue is normally a perk because they don't give a reasonable buffs, there has been plenty of suggestions that I've seen that would buff solo queue without making swf stronger.
More information would help, just not so much information that you end up becoming an unstoppable force, also it depends how competent your solo team is as well, because sometimes you get good teams, and sometimes you get people that run around with their heads cut off. But this has less to do with solo-queue as a whole and just the terrible MMR, because no one wants to play Survivor anymore, so people have been swapping to kill her which has made killer queue times hell, and survivors just get put with whoever.

@Wesu said:
Reassurance is a bandaid fix to a poorly designed gameplay mechanic, requiring survivors to give up a perk slot in order to combat something that should NOT be designed into the game. Not only this, but you have to get within 6 meters to use it... well in 90% of cases if you're within 6 meters of a hooked survivor you can just UNHOOK THEM.
Another thing is that this perk is going to be SIGNIFICANTLY stronger in swfs with voice coms, because the person with Reassurance can let the other teammates know to stay on gens while they go to use it on the hooked survivor. In solo que, there's no way to let your teammates know that you are going to use Reassurance, so EVERYONE WILL GET OFF GENS AND GO FOR THE UNHOOK ANYWAY.
More 'interesting' balance from Behavior.
While on one hand I agree, on the other not so much. The perk is locked behind a paywall and majority of people don't want to put money into the game anymore so it won't be as common as people think.
On the other, it also depends on the solo queue team, there are some that can properly coordinate a reassurance play, and with the getting within 6 meters part, the person using the perk probably doesn't want to risk the save and risk of getting grabbed, or hit and then just hook trading. That's why the perk works.
Although, coordinate solos are once in a blue moon.

If you have video the killer can be reported for griefing the Feng because they held the game hostage for that player - doesn't matter that you finished gens/opened gate to start EGC, if they were blocking the Feng for some time before you finished gens then they were preventing the Feng from being able to play.
Once gens are finished if you're not opening gates while someone is body blocked that would be something Mandy would have to answer.
To me while you aren't forcing the game to end the killer has put you in a spot where you're at a stalemate because you want to help your teammate escape and they want to force a kill via EGC or just make the survivor DC. At most both would be at fault but I'd say killer more so because you still have an objective - save your teammate - and they are refusing to play, they have just stayed blocking the survivor refusing to down them.
I did file a report/ticket, but it made me wonder because technically either side could end the game, but the killer held one person hostage majority of the game, so the couldn't do anything at all
-
@Brokenbones said:
I think the devs don't consider it hostage taking if the game can end, so if survivors are the ones not opening the gates to make the game end - they might be at fault
However if you bodyblock the last survivor in a corner like this, then it's on the Killer.
Okay, thanks ^^ because we were trying to get the killer away from her by me forcing him to down me and trying to glitch the Feng Min into the Wraith, by him faking a hit on me and trying to force him to hit Feng Min

I think it was declared to be unintended, and they tried fixing it, but survivors claimed it made movement feel terrible, so they reverted the change and then said they were ok with it.
Survivors always want another second chance. It doesn't matter if they messed up, or were outplayed, or were caught in a deadzone. They still want some way to maybe avoid a hit, and the fixed movement made it difficult to do that. It absolutely exploits console's awful camera turn rate, aim dressing's camera yank, and killers' terrible FoV. If these three killer problems were fixed, then 360s wouldn't be an issue.
Okay can we just stop with grouping all survivors together, cuz I can easily do that with killers who do the same #########, but guess what not all killers want an easy game, and I realize that.
Yes, hopefully killers get an FOV change for those with accessibility issues, but it probably won't be done because those without accessibility issues could easily abuse this system. Want to pull out second change though, Rancor and NOED are two great examples, Rancor you can mori a survivor who you didn't even hook a single time, NOED is free insta-down if you got two hooks the whole game. But in the end, guess what I see these perks ran as much as I've seen people 360 is rarely.
I myself have witnessed 360s that were going to be amazing, until they got hit cuz the killer didn't instantly swing, and guess what, the killer was on console (I'm on Xbox so I see the other Xbox players), and I've 360ed killers who were probably on PC (had special characters in user that can't be there on Xbox and PS4)
TL;DR - Don't group everyone on either side together, it's dumb, irrational, and immature. Both sides have second chance perks, that's all there is to it. Also killers do need better FOV, but the developers would have to find a way to do it without it being exploited by those without the accessibility issue.

Because this time, I don't want Afton to come back, his time is over.
But actually, the franchise is over hyped, personally don't care for it really. Not only that, they shifted from the actual scary things, to be more accommodating to children which is also a turn off.

I was thinking like 3-5 tokens at a time
That's pretty much it on my questions, thanks for taking the time to answer them ^^
It's just good to clarify these or else the perk would've just been a combo of two other perks and not much more than that.

As long as you have enough tokens, I think to do more than once, it could be more than once.
If this idea was implemented, I think this would definitely become a perk in the new meta, and would be one of the most recent stronger survivor perks, and punishes the killer for slugging, I like the idea.
Last recommendation would be putting a set limit of tokens you can have at once (5 for example) so someone can't hoard like 24 tokens

I think Carry On would run over Unbreakable.
Okay, and last thing, is it multiple time use due to these certain conditions of needing tokens, or still single use? After that, those are all my questions, killer mains can pop in for those, I don't have much standing on that.

So maybe preforming an action (Like Repairing, Healing, Etc) Maybe gains a token and you consume them all to pick yourself up.
So basically, for the boon, I thought of how Sam is ALWAYS looking for Dean but I can always change it so it's just one totem maybe in an increment of ranges. Like 10/15/20.
Yeah, that could work, just these are the first two things that came to mind, I actually like the ideas too. Also, would Carry On activate over unbreakable or vice versa assuming someone ran both perks?
-
I like the perks, but I wanna talk about Dean's and Sam's, so for Carry On it seems like a combo between unbreakable & tenacity (except for you not being able to recover while moving) what if there was a token system instead that'd allow you to pick yourself up?
Also Sam's Boon, they're probably needs to be a little clarification that other Boon perks will not be able to stack with this one when placed on the secondary boon and will only were when placed on the first boon.

Status changes and hooks/unhooks happening anywhere in the match still causes massive freezes on console, makes chasing or being chased incredibly frustrating when you lose 3-5 seconds of visibility and control through no fault of your own 😑

True, although I'm personally fine with Nurse's current position, if they do rework her, I just don't want her to be nerfed into oblivion to where no one can play her
She's a genuinely fun killer to play against when you know how to counter her ^^

Basekit nurse is stomped by any decent survivor.
She needs recharge or range to counter hold W. Otherwise you are screwed against any tree / rock blocking your line of sight.
Also by "decent survivor" I don’t mean the average clicky bunny feng or nea chasing the killer and not repairing gens; I mean a good team who know what they are going and trying to win the game.
They probably haven't played against or seen the good nurse players, because when Nurse is in the right hands and played properly, even without add-ons she can stomp even a SWAT Swf
Maps also coming into play, great example being Midwich, put a god Nurse on that map with a SWF, the Nurse is winning no questions

Meanwhile FW rarely get them in comparison to these 2.

My favorite is slippery meat and up the ante. it's (Almost) like having deliverance without the safe un-hook requirement.
if you can get a squad to run it together it's actually pretty insane. As every time the killer hooks someone for the first time you completely remove the pressure by just unhooking yourself. The odds of an unhook escape with 3 up the antes (The most I've had in my group but it would be better if you have all 4) is 44%, and you get 6 attempts so the odds are quite good (No luck offerings required!!). Gotta run off the record and/or DS because there is a slight chance the killer will come right back for you if he sees what you're up too haha. Bring medkits and all of you become completely independent. My only complaint with this build is you don't pip and don't get many blood points haha.
It's even better when you the killer comes back and looks for the un-hooker kekw
Or if they have devour as they get absolutely zero stacks. :3
Have all 4 of em run Jar of Salty Lips, boom my time has come where I can use my 43 jars

Actually BBQ is still popular, just not to the extent it was pre-patch. Below are the top 9 killer patches from the aggregate site I'm following over the last two weeks
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/1MJUKZ8LNM61/image.png
In the prior weeks before the update BBQ was even more popular at 36-42% usage, so it's definitely seen a drop. But even despite some people not using BBQ now it's still the top killer perk on the site.
The reason is pretty simple - some people like BBQ's aura and that's why they used it before the patch, the bloodpoint bonus was just an extra. Plus on top of that Lethal Pursuer actually synergizes a bit with BBQ and Chili now by extending its duration so that probably helps too. (In fact I hardly ever used BBQ before the patch, but I actually use it sometimes now in combination with Lethal Pursuer so I'm using the perk now more than I did before!)
Beyond that the top perks above probably mostly match what you expect, with Thanatophobia, Jolt and STBFL in the top three spots. I'm honestly not surprised Corrupt Intervention is still on the list too, its core function of delaying the start of gens in the early game is still there, especially for killers that have slow setups like Trapper and Hag and sometimes Meyers. Pain Resonance gives even more net regression than it used to (it's not 15% of 90 seconds instead of 80) so I still use that one when I use Scourge Hooks, and Pop is also still a decent regression perk assuming you don't waste it on gens with low progress. In fact the only perk I'm surprised isn't on the list above is Call of Brine, I figured that would be more popular than Overcharge, but it's at 10.6% so just missed the cut. (The number 10 perk not shown is Discordance, which I think is making a comeback because it helps counter Prove Thyself.)
I'm glad people still use BBQ, even before the patch I didn't use it primarily for extra blood points, because it was part of my main build on ghostface with it being, Brutal Strength, Pop, BBQ, and I'm All Ears, swapping pop for Iron Grasp or something else though

Yeah, I noticed that too, and because killers are running slow down due to gens flying, survivors are running things to counter slowdowns creating a neverending cycle
But I don't need gen speed perks, I have my trusty pebble lmao
