No, it isn’t.

3 kills is a win though.
3 kills and a hatch escape is a win to me. I only think if it as a loss if a survivor escapes through the exit gates.
I’ve had three survivors escape via the hatch multiple times. Darn I guess I got outplayed and beaten.

You get more bloodpoints getting back up and doing the objective than you do from struggle points. Also, why are none of your teammates saving you? If none of your teammates are saving you then that isn't an issue with the killer slugging, that's an issue with bad teammates.
This means the issue has nothing at all to do with it being more boring to be on the ground. Why would the killer want to hook someone that he knows just wants to kill themselves early ruining the game for him and the rest of the survivors team?
So you’re telling me you want to crawl on the ground and admire floor graphics while the killer searches the map for the immersed Blendette that isn’t going to save you?
You are doing NOTHING for four minutes but crawling around and waiting to bleed out while the last guy hides. That’s why survivors hate slugging.
As others have stated...I’d rather be camped on the hook than slugged. At least your teammates can do gens as opposed to the last guy hiding while the killer sweats his ass off looking for them.
There is nothing wrong with slugging if the time calls for it. Repeatedly slugging one of the last two survivors to find the other immersed one is not fun for either side. Unless you’re going for an adept achievement I don’t get the point.

Plague is extremely fun to play and she’s a great killer as well. She is highly underrated. I always have a great time playing Plague whether the team cleanses or not.
-
@PigMainClaudette I play on PS4 and I do mainly play Plague. I have mained her since her release.
She isn’t NEARLY as hindered by controller movement like Nurse or Huntress. She is a pretty straight forward killer. It can be a pain if the survivors run into your model since she is super tall. It can cause you to miss a lot of your puke. All killers are a little limited by controller movements especially ones with projectiles but Plague doesn’t have to be super accurate.
You can get lag spikes but I don’t get them playing Plague. I get BAD lag spikes as Hag and Demogorgon.
-
Oni would be A tier right above Billy. I dunno if I’d put him above Hag or not. This is only based on gameplay I’ve seen of him.

No its not. Its all about standing still and waiting to see what the survivor does.
Then all the Spirit mains will come for your throat and tell you how she is all about “MiNdGaMeS”.
You’re right though. There is absolutely nothing about Spirit that is about mindgames. It’s a blind games. You can’t “mindgame” something that the other side (survivors) have zero information about. It’s a one sided affair.
This is coming from somebody who has been a Spirit main since her release.

I will remember that if you play xbox
*Laughs in PS4 lag*
Don’t you worry...I get MORE than my fair share of Ghostface matches. I see him the most frequently of all killers.
-
I always assume a stealth killer until I hear a heartbeat. I ALWAYS turn my camera in all directions so I don’t get grabbed by Myers, Ghostface, or Pig.
The biggest sigh of relief is when I hear a Nurse blinking at the very start. Weird I know but I play on PS4 and I love facing a Nurse. She’s very fun to face in my opinion.
-
- Demogorgon
- Hag
- Spirit
- Huntress
- Nurse
I also really like Myers mori.
I might be in the minority but I don’t like Ghostface’s mori or the killer in general.

1 Disturbed Ward
2 Ironworks of Misery/Rancid Abbatoir
3 Grim Pantry/Torment Creek.
I don't even include Haddonfield here because that map is garbage by itself.
Rancid Abattoir has the potential to have the strongest window of all the Coldwind maps. That window is terrible. That’s another structure I usually refuse to chase in.
Coldwind has some strong main buildings. The barn makes me wanna die.

Coal tower, ironworks, and crotus prenn are insanely annoying to deal with
I never have that much of an issue with Coal Tower. The map is small and the main building is probably the most balanced of all the MacMillan maps.
I’ll take a wholesome Coal Tower over Groaning Storehouse any day.
-
Haddonfield is only strong with Balanced Landing while Disturbed Ward and Grim Pantry are strong without the use of any perks.
You can’t run any infinities on Haddonfield without Balanced Landing. Is it strong with BL? Absolutely. Probably THE strongest. But without BL it’s really not that strong. Other maps are stronger without the use of perks.
-
@[Deleted User] said:
Grim Pantry still existing is crazy. You can take a hit pretty much anywhere on the map and then get to the pantry. Same with the Ironworks window. Crotus Prenn building is also hilariously survivor sided.
Grim Pantry is terrible. That building is so heavily survivor sided. You can rarely get bloodlust. I avoid that building as much as I can.
-
Real life situations can come up or they could’ve just lost connection.
I’ve had times where my power went out or when it literally just kicked me to the main screen and said the most triggering message “No Network Connection”.
I also had to DC one time because of a cosmetic clipping on Plagues’ Withered Blight outfit. I could not see anything except a bright orange censor on my screen.
-
Overrated is Ghostface and Billy.
Underrated is Hag and Plague.
-
The survivor must be injured to grab them from window vaults or pallet vaults.
Everything else they can be grabbed off of they can be full health.
-
Depends on a variety of things.
Beginning of the match DC. If it is only one DC then I’ll play normally but not play as aggressive. If it is two DC’s and the other survivors start memeing with me or just staring at me then I’ll most likely farm with them.
Mid match and late match DC’s have no affect on my playstyle. I have no sympathy when someone DC’s due to missing DS or because they are on death hook.
I also might just kill everyone to get everybody out of the match as quickly as possible or because I don’t feel like sitting through them fixing five generators.
I feel sympathy toward survivors when their teammates DC for selfish reasons. Not their fault their teammates are selfish.
-
My tier list
-
P3-50 Survivors with all perks
- Meg, Claudette, Nea, Nancy
Other P3-50 Survivors
- Feng, Kate, Dwight, Jane
P3-50 Killers with all perks
- Spirit, Hag, Plague, Myers
Other P3-50 Killers
- Nurse and Huntress
Demogorgon and Pig are in the process of being prestiged.
-
Default Jake is pretty unappealing and not interesting at all.
For females I gotta go with Laurie. Her face is TERRIBLE.
-
The Amulet needed to he toned down a bit because it was easily her strongest add-on.
I agree that they did a BIT too much on the Amulet. The duration is longer but she is slow as hell. I believe even Wraith cloaked with green windstorm is faster than Spirit phasing with the upcoming Amulet change. The amulet should keep her at base phasing speed (176%).
I rarely used the Amulet though anyways. I only used it against teams I didn’t like or teams I know to be really good. I’ve been going without add-ons as of late.
-
@indieeden7 said:
The thing about that is that Spirit is ridiculously loud even without a TR, she cries an wails non-stop.
Didn’t stop them from adding an ultra-rare for Demogorgon that grants it the undetectable status effect for 10 seconds despite it’s footsteps being a dead giveaway that it’s nearby.
I do agree with you though that Spirit is super loud even without a terror radius.
-
@Blueberry The percentages on the Amulet confuse me a bit. Can you explain it in simple terms. Like how much slower will she be?
-
Her changes are fair. She’s still very much a top tier killer.

This should help you if you’re looking to play Huntress.

This should help you out, I watched this to better understand how to play him but it also helps understand how he works and what you're doing wrong. When you get to the part where it shows you how to detect him you'll be surprised to see how big the detection area is and what exactly you need to do.
All the Entity Education videos are really great for helping players better understand the counters to killers and how to play killer.
-
@SaintDenisSlasher Also...Hag and Billy are MUCH stronger than Ghostface. Ghostface is low mid tier. Plague, Huntress, Freddy, and Demogorgon are all just plain better. They can all either shorten or cut down loops in SOME way. Ghostface just has to run loops normally. Doesn’t matter if he can instadown if the survivor can get to a strong enough structure to waste his time.

"I think anything that tremenously or considerably affects gameplay should be taken out of the game, as it's unfair"
Also he very obviously wants Ghostface nerfed. Honestly i would be open to the idea because he does seem super strong if it wasn't for the fact that
A. When they nerf someone they nerf them into the ground
and
B. After spirit it would mean that the MOST viable killer for me and i think a lot of other people would be Billy. Other killers desperately need a buff before anyone else gets a nerf
Ghostface’s power is super cheesy and cheap. He’s a buggy hot ass mess. At least with Myers I feel like deserve to get downed if I get exposed. Ghostface I do not.
I’m simply voicing why I don’t like playing against Ghostface. Players can say their opinions without people jumping down their throat and insinuating that they are “entitled baby survivor mains” like the person I was responding to has said MANY of times before.
I don’t feel like Ghostface is super strong, just an annoyance to play against. My weakness in this game is stealth killers. They are my least favorite group of killers to face.

You forgot to say "Please nerf"
As for the topic, it's your fault that you didn't pay attention to your surroundings.
Damn can you actually give advice for once and stop making this “survivors vs killers” or “us vs them” kinda deal.
The OP never once said anything about nerfs, you only put that in because you’re butthurt that Spirit is getting changes.
The OP was only stressing their frustrations about a killer and never once was trying to ask for nerfs.

But you didn't understand what I said. You can now outrun her blinks very easily with OoO. It doesn't matter if she can ignore all survivors defenses ( which btw is not even true anymore, I seen so many dead zones lately, playing her on Haddonfield is hell ), when she can't catch up to you after 20-30 seconds have passed.
A smart player would ignore the OoO player. They want to be chased. Why give into what they want?
Nurse has nothing to lose but you knowing where she is. She’s gonna eventually catch you if she wants to. She can cover 32 meters with her blinks which you can’t see her within her terror radius. Especially with recharge add-ons.
She’s not as strong as she was, but still damn strong.
Playing any killer on Haddonfield is hell. This is not anything new. Haddonfield is terrible.
-
I have fun playing a majority of the time. If I start to because a pessimist then I just stop playing. Some rounds can get under your skin whether playing survivor or killer. You gotta know when to call it a day.

I feel that every character (except Clown tbh) has a build that can ascend them to crazy levels, take Bubba for example. The “Bubba Train” build popularized by Otzdarva really boosts Bubba’s pressure and lethality immensely because of his resourcefulness with PWYF and anti tunneling nature of Furtive Chase,
or a injure build on Legion that relies on making full heals take super long and relying on the informational value of Legion’s kit.
Clown doesn’t have any crazy good builds but Redheads Pinky Finger is pretty good. Gives you free instadowns. Flask of Bleach also isn’t bad either.

Actually, OoO is now great even against Nurse, because if she doesn't have recharge time and/or range add-ons, you can use OoO to see when she's coming and literally outrun her blinks, making her waste a lot of time if she tries to catch up to you.
The thing is...Nurse doesn’t care if you see her or not. She’s so strong in a chase that if you allow her to get too close to you then she won’t have an issue catching you.
Plus most decent killers ignore OoO users. Spirit and Nurse just don’t care. They don’t have anything to lose by you knowing where they are. They don’t place traps. They don’t throw long range hatchets. They aren’t weak in a chase. They aren’t stealth killers. Them knowing where you are is a disadvantage to you because you’re feeding information to the two strongest killers that have the upper hand in a chase.

Lol k den, cause you can't just back track to a charging up nurse near the end of the charge or slow vault back to the other side when spirit is running around or back track to a spirit in phase to lose them almost instantly, if you say so bud
You CAN counter a Nurse or a Spirit. It’s just a lot harder. If they are good then you die. Playing against a Rank 14 Nurse is massively different than one that has thousands of hours solely on Nurse at Rank 1. There is a reason Nurse is regarded as one of...if not THE strongest killer in the game.
Back tracking against Nurse will not always work. She has a second blink ya know.
Don’t even try to play a pallet against a good Spirit. If she can hear your movements/injured moans then you will die. Slow vaulting a pallet against a Spirit will just get you a katana in the face. All she’s gotta do is stand still.
-
@vossler25 said:
I'd have to put Freddy on top, I'm yet to lose with him, red ranks are gen rushers, Freddy is anti gen rush, people actually has to play against the killer, Freddy is the only killer not at survivor mercy, at the moment, and that's bad, survivors should be at killers mercy
Nurse and Spirit aren’t at the survivors mercy. They are the power role in a chase.
-
I’ve had rounds where the killer chased one guy all round and got looped. All I do is the gens and I’m not found. There is nobody to unhook so no altruism points and the killer has tunnel vision. I de-pip these rounds.
Or either I’m the guy looping the killer so I only get boldness points.
I do agree if you escape you should AT LEAST get a black pip.
These rounds are few and far between though. Most of the time it’s the Claudette that hides all round, lets her teammates die, and gets the hatch. She deserves to de-pip.

Sucks to see people sleeping on good ol' zappy boi. He's easily a B or C Killer once you get his shock timing down.
He can’t really compare with the killers in B tier (Plague, Myers, Ghostface, Demogorgon). He doesn’t really have much going for him :/
I am however very excited to see what changes they make to Doctor to make him better than he currently is.
-
I know I put Freddy a little low but I believe Demogorgon is the best licensed killer.
Also now he can’t cheese his traps and keep his bloodlust he isn’t catching up as fast.
Still don’t see how people put Billy above Hag and ESPECIALLY Spirit.

I use her frequently. Flashlights are just one of many counterplays. I typically just run to the next loop when a Hag loop traps, and then disarm every trap she set in chase after she teleports away. Stepping on her traps intentionally is a counterplay in and of itself. Coordinated squads just have someone run outside of your AOC, rotate trap disarmers, and set off as many as possible when you pick someone up. Her traps can only be in so many places before they won't be stepped in.
Hag isn’t as optimal against a coordinated SWF group or OoO. OoO is great against all killers except Nurse and Spirit.
However, I rarely run into OoO and she can still win against a good group. A majority of SWF groups aren’t great anyways in my own experience.
I typically won’t even play Hag if I see flashlights.

So, if she gets nerfed will Freddy take the throne?
I think it’ll be pretty difficult to butcher Spirit. They really have to do something serious to make Spirit terrible.
I still think Nurse is the best killer despite her “nerfs”.
Hag and Billy are both better than Freddy.
Huntress, Plague, and Demogorgon are all just as viable as Freddy. Freddy isn’t any better than any of them
-
As of late? Spirit.
During my entire time playing DBD? Probably Daddy Myers.
Dumb teammates are a close third.
-
Easily Autohaven. There is a reason why these are some of the only maps that are good for Huntress. You have a variation of very safe zones and dead zones. You’re able to mindgame most pallets that put survivor skill vs killer skill.
I know you specifically didn’t ask for this but Ormond is a beautiful map. Honestly not the worst map balance wise.
-
I buy all killers/survivors regardless so I don’t have any regrets. I do hate playing Legion though and I don’t play Jeff.
Legion has some sick cosmetics though.
-
Certain songs I enjoy. Plus Mariah Carey just so happens to be my favorite singer/songwriter so her entire Christmas album I enjoy.
The last three months of the year are my favorite time of the year. My birthday is in October, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Who doesn’t love Christmas?! It’s an amazing time of the year.

I know I'll be going for the plague. She eliminates half the chases and it just makes for less bloodpoints and less game. I think it would be nice if the sickness made it so you can't heal but requires the plague to still hit you twice. I'd be fine with that. But playing against plague I almost never pip just get a safety or depip and the bloodpoints is always garbage. It's not that I hate her kit I just think both sides are losing out on points and stuff.
Plague doesn’t have enough time to puke on survivors AND still have to hit them twice. She has no map control. There is no point in her Vile Purge if she still has to hit survivors twice.
Her bloodpoint value is terrible though. It needs an increase. Demo gets a massive 800 points for a Shred attack but Plague only gets 300 for each time she breaks a survivor or downs a sick survivor. I rarely max out her deviousness unless survivors constantly cleanse and even then I probably won’t.
She doesn’t pip as well because of the one shot mechanic of Vile Purge. Same reason Billy rarely pips and Legion seems to always pip. Billy and Plague get less hits.

If you want to get better, then just keep playing. Watch videos. Look up different builds. You get back what you put in.

I learned A LOT about killer by watching videos by Scott/Monto. It’s a really good way to get better at the game.
