People in Canada = devs
Not EVERYONE in Canada
You should edit your post then. "according to the people in Canada. Must be how they do things up there." doesn't sound like "according to the devs who are in Canada". Generally, "the people in canada" is seen as "everyone", not a specific segment.
The backtrack is real.

BHVR has their office in Canada, I believe.
He didn't say "BHVR", he said "Canada". "Must be how they do things up there".
So, again, what does that have to do with Canada, and why did they need to throw an entire country under the bus?
Shame. For shame.

Why don’t you stop trying to be toxic and attempt to troll me all the time?
Are you still hurt about yesterday? I mean it was a forum debate. Let it go, it’s not that important yet here you are pestering for attention in every thread.
I'm being toxic? You just threw an entire country under the bus. Shame on you, man. If I were Canadian, I'd feel rather alienated by that kind of toxic behavior.
-
@ClickyClicky said:
Yup. Expect this to increase.
I’d say record the Ghostface players that slug and tbag until bleedout but apparently that’s a perfectly fine and legitimate way to play the game according to the people in Canada. Must be how they do things up there.
What does it have anything to do with Canada? o.O
Sounds like someone is mad that they got tunneled and missed their DS skillcheck. :)

It's not worse for either side. It's equal.

Also would like to know if killing the game via task manager or pulling the plug will result in a penalty (while in game).
They already said it would.
-
Test it. :P
-
Last time this happened with audio, it took over 6 months to fix.
-
Screw players who DC for illegitimate reasons.
Not having fun because you're being tunneled etc or anything related to how other people play is NOT a reason. Fun is COMPLETELY subjective.
The ONLY things that need to be adjusted for this system are fixing of game bugs that literally force DC's.

Did 4/5 gens, died on first hook despite not being camped. I guess they wanted me to do the 5th one while on the hook so they could urban evade around some more.
Why do I still play solo queue?
I feel the same.

Paragraphs, please.
My goodness.

It looks better now.

Sorry I shouldn't be penalized for someone ruining the fun of the game.
Did you know that you can easily ruin peoples' games by disconnecting?
Also, ruining fun is subjective as well.
A lot of people consider their fun ruined if you simply get caught and hooked. LOL

I can get behind this if they change it that the killer is not punished for survivors DCing
That would be the general idea.
-
From a quality standpoint? On a scale of 1 to 100?
386.
-
@MisterCremaster said:
Are you saying, if someone else DCs, you should be able to do so w/o penalty?
That's actually a pretty solid idea. Rocket League has been doing that for years. One person DC's during rank, they are punished. Everyone else can DC with no penalty or rank loss.
-
The irony here is, it was survivors won't wanted dedicated servers. Killers didn't ask for this, lol
-
@Peanits Have all the bugs that either force people to DC (eg: stuck in healing position, so game won't end even with EGC), or force people to close their game (infinite loading screen) been fixed yet?
If not, and people are still punished for this, BHVR is going to have a PR nightmare on their hands. Are you guys sure you want to expose your inadequacies this hard? You guys have next to no success outside of DBD. I don't think you guys can afford having bugs like this, and a system that punishes innocent people for your own mistakes.

People Are responding, with reasons that billy isnt as easy to cheese kills as you say.
Edit: thought you were also the one uploading pics for no reason haha.
Point stands. Nobody is parroting. You just dont like what they're saying.
Pretty much this. "Oh...I made a thread and nobody agrees with it..they're all just parroting".
This should tell you everything you need to know. When everyone else believes he's fine, the problem isn't Hillbilly. The problem is the people saying he's a problem.

This too. This is the reason I wouldn't consider myself a veteran killer. I suck at Nurse. I truly think to be a veteran, you need to more or less have a working ability, mastery and knowledge of every killer.

Killer: Expert
Survivor: Veteran

Have you seen some of the survivors? Amanda would be more powerful than many of them.
No. The Pig is such a weak killer, she wouldn't be able to hang with the power that is survivors.
-
Real answer is, The Pig isn't powerful enough to be a survivor.

When the game first started - going for the flappy arms motion did indeed mean that the killer was camping and do gens....staying still on the hook was the sign that it was safe to rescue.
Over time these got mixed up, now I don't think anyone really pays any attention to whether or not you are waving your arms on the hook.
Along came Kindred....

Huntress and Bubba can do something about it too, but it's still better to just stand there and wait.
They can, but it's not consistent. Oni does it, 100% of the time, without fail.
-
@thesuicidefox said:
I seriously can't believe people complain about this.
Just sit there and face camp the guy. You have 2 survivors not doing gens. You're not getting punished for sitting near the hook. Don't be a bot and try to hit the guy.
Unless you're Oni with your power. Then definitely hit the guy.
-
This is a bit of a weird question, because we know how we move and juke as individuals.
-
I think what he's saying is, Legion and Wake-up bugs didn't actually take the game hostage. It was still possible for either side to complete the game.
-
@neekocheeko said:
Pop can carry killers especially if they camp their best 3/4 gens from the start. I have yet to lose a game as any killer doing this. It becomes a slow, battle of attrition that survivors cannot win.
Thing about that is, the killer had to apply a good strategy for a 3 gen to even work. It doesn't carry them until after that set up that strategy.

Banned, but was it a temp ban or a perma ban?
I don't know about everyone, but I know one person who was permanently banned for it.
-
@AsePlayer said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1081744#Comment_1081744
I mean at the end of the day, any bug is just an oversight.
I don't think they handed out perma bans for the Legion thing at the very least, but not 100% sure of that.
They are definitely selective when it comes to which bugs are ban-worthy, but Killers generally have more of the game-breaking stuff I think.
No no, people were actually banned for the Legion bug. There was even a notice posted in game as an announcement saying it was bannable.
My point was, i guess, that Legion wasn't any more game breaking than the Wake-Up bug. Yet...the devs didn't punish the people who all of a sudden started running this non meta perk when the bug was happening.

The Doctor is African american. Hag and Wraith are African. Hillbilly, Clown and Trapper are American. Legion is Canadian. I believe that Plague is Babylonian
Legion is Canadian? THAT'S the killer you have representing Canada?
WHY?

Survivors were able to stand under the hole at the Swamp ship and the killer would just be stuck on top of them for the whole match.
Ahhh yes. I remember that now. To be fair, that was a different time, and could actually prevent a game from finishing. The Legion thing (while terrible, I'm not condoning it) was just extremely OP and annoying (which was BHVR's own fault), and wasn't really a bug because it was literally coded to do what it was doing. It didn't really prevent a game from finishing. It just prevented survivors from being able to do a lot. Neither are good, but one takes the game hostage and was a bug. The other doesn't and was an oversight. People were even retroactively banned for the legion thing for doing it even before it was said to be bannable.
-
@AsePlayer said:

I guess we're going to forget that Survivors got banned for doing this on Swamp.
Can you clarify what I'm seeing in that picture? It literally explains nothing.
-
Doc, Wraith and Hag are of African descent
Trapper, Billy, Pig, Michael Myers, Nurse, Clown, Huntress are Caucasian
those are really the only ones I know for sure besides the one you mentioned. Also, you're asking for Race. Russian isn't a race. :)
-
Ahhh yes. The old Hook n' Floss.
-
If history has shown us anything, it's that survivor exploits are never dealt with accordinly.
Legion bug = people were banned over it.
Wake up bug = nothing.
-
I'd say it should be adjusted to focus more on it actually being anti tunnel. If you're grabbed while unhooking someone, DS shouldn't work on that grab. If you step in a trap, DS should deactive etc.
-
At this point, exhaustion is fine. The only issue is Deadhard is simply broken because of dedicated servers.

On paper, a lot of ideas look great. BHVR's execution of said ideas is often neutered to a point of ridiculousness.
-
I agree. Flashlights can ruin a players life.
For example, yesterday, I was playing Wraith, on Ormond, and there was a Laurie who 30 seconds into the match went for a flashlight save on a David I was picking up. She succeeded. I slugged the David, went after her, and caught her in 10 seconds. I shook my head at her as if to say "big no no". She then DC'd. Safe to say, her flashlight ruined her life. :)
-
There are no problematic killer perks. Every killer perk has a hard counter, or a huge downside.
As for Knockout and Pop...for knockout, maps are only so big, look for the person until you're within 16m of their slugged carcass. Or, they could run unbreakable. Boom, hard counter. For Pop, it's countered by generator speed.
-
@ClickyClicky said:
It and NOED should both go. I hate perks that flip the entire outcome of a game.
NOED can be dictated by survivors completely. Killers can't destroy a totem that kills Adrenaline.

I jumped on one of @Peanits streams recently. To be honest I was hoping I might catch some insider information when his guard was down. (I didn't). Peanits played really well, he is a knowledgable and entertaining rank 1 killer who understands how to pressure gens and when to drop chases. He is very comfortable beating red rank survivors.
However,
The survivors he faced were nowhere near the level of coordination, effectiveness and toxicity of the rank 1 survivors I face and hear others complain about. They were nothing like the survivors I see TrueTalent, Otz or HybridPanda (when he streamed) played either.
Are Canadian survivors the reason why BHVR thinks gen times are fine?
This thread is actually ridiculous.
Most red rank survivors these days are potato. Rank right now for survivor is a participation trophy, and not a skill factor.
Also, Canadian players don't only play with other Canadian players. Be more informed, make less nonsense threads. :)

Then ill just do what everyone else does and DC when he's the killer. Problem solved.
Okay bye! :) Game will be better off without your toxicity anyway.
Learn counterplay instead of complaining. Doc has plenty of counterplay. Get on out of yellow/brown ranks, hone your skill.
-
You'll find Mcote gets stomped on whether he plays killer or survivor. He's not that good. When they say "the devs don't play their game", he's the poster child for that statement.
