Camping is its own detriment, the killer isn't patrolling gens and therefore is giving a massive chance for the remaining survivors to escape quickly and easily. The only improvement I can think of is keeping d/c'd players on the hook and not notifying the killer of the d/c, keeping the killer occupied and the camped survivor free to join a new game when he sees the killer is a piece of ****. It still sucks, but there's nothing the devs can do if a player is set on doing something dumb.
@deafkhan1 I think thats a pretty damn good idea, if i do say so myself. No one cares about emblems, so that mechanic is pointless anyways.
-
Once i see three medkits im already going Plague or a killer with Franklin's.
Also, Adrenaline isnt free if you kill them, which, if a killer believes they are competent, should at least get one before 5 whole gens are completed.
adrenaline also does not get you off the hook, so if you down or chase away the remaining survivors, that also does not get used.
I'm not going to say it isn't frustrating at all, i will never say that. All I'm saying, is that the survivor's work smart to make sure Adrenaline activates. (if they didn't work smart, theyd be dead, once again assuming the killer is competent)
-
Plunderer's is neither rarely used, nor is it weak. it has the potential to completely turn on the game on its head depending on what is picked out. this buff would make Franklin's far weaker and pointless for its effect, and that perk is in no need of a nerf. Perhaps it could instead now see whether or not an opened chest has an item in it?
The first part of Wake Up is an intriguing idea, but the second part will reveal to the killer that you have opened a gate, which can ruin some stealthy escapes for your allied survivors, as the killer can see the timer as well.
The BL nerf is deserved, as it would only be detrimental if you were attempting to abuse an infinite over and over.
Insidious would screw over Basement Bubba's, which I'm more than fine with.
The Boil Over change is almost exactly what i was thinking should be added to the perk
Don't really feel any type of way on Monstrous Shrine
NOED change would fix the feel of rewarding poor plays throughout the match at the end, i think its a fantastic idea.
-
The easiest and most balanced change is just to make it so that when stealth killers are using their stealth ability, they cannot be tracked by OoO. Spirit already has this, why not everyone else.
-
or, instead, add those statuses to the infection time add-ons (the apple and the 2 seals)

Along with a corrupt purge nerf. The root of the problem is that the red puke is just too damn strong. Dial it down, add a sickness penalty, now you have more people cleansing but it’s not OP.
it's not strong at all considering you have to go out of your way to
1.head to a corrupted pool
2.channel the corrupted pool
3. Find survivors in a limited amount of time.
Don't forget that
1. All survivors know when you are corrupted as well
2. It does not go through walls
3. Does not have high range.

Still don't understand why the camera is placed below the grass anyways. Balance is definitely not the reason why.

There's no basis though in 3 years of DbD.
The Wraith. Nurse in the future. Doctor in the future as well.
-
well Trappers Bear Traps are revealed by small game and Hag's Traps are revealed by small game, so why wouldn't Freddy's Dream Traps (yes, that's their name) be revealed by Small Game?
-
As i've said numerous time before, it is up the devs to lead both the survivor's and killers down a healthy, non-toxic path. By implementing mechanics that reward positive player behaviour and punish ones that are fun for no one, there leaves no room for complaint.
-
that doesn't help at all, you don't know whether a hook is safe or unsafe until the survivor is downed. Especially in endgame where people can have their endgame perks activate, also Borrowed Time, obviously.
this just sounds like the idea of someone who wants a buy one get one kill free mechanic. All you'll do is slug that guy who is now exposed and chase the other person down since by the time you catch up to them BT will be up. i see straight through it.
-
I believe that would be best
-
Why don't they just bring back the event exactly how it was last year, then? It isn't much, but its still cute
-
well if the person was going to be "farmed" that means the killer was nearby anyways. That means the situation would ALWAYS be worse if the survivor rejected the hook because now not only is one person on the hook, but someone else died right next to the hook.
-
Sacrificial Garb:Hidden. Become the Obsession. The obession cannot switch under any circumstance. You cannot be left on the ground, killers will automatically attempt to pick you up once you are downed. When you become hooked, all other survivor's lose their scratchmarks until you are saved. If you are killed under any condition, All remaining survivor's are healed one health state.

I feel hope is under-rated. Cutting the killer's speed advantage by almost half (or more) - or getting to where you need to go to open gates and make saves faster is pretty useful. Killers are not used to hope either, they often will miss on their first lunge not realizing your increased speed. When both adrenaline and hope go off during a chase you can almost see the killer's own hope fade from their eyes.
The only thing I really like about wake-up is the auras of showing the switches and your aura when you open to other survivors.
Neither is really useful for EGC - you can just open the gate for a few seconds before the light comes on, hide from killer patrol, then try to open rest of the way and that replaces any advantage wake-up had in faster opening.
I've been wanting to do resilience with wake-up and see how that goes - but it's really niche as well. I think it stacks for 24% faster exit opening and if you were also under effects of leader that might really opens exits fast.
I like when killers assume you're hacking in the endgame chat when you use Hope.
-
Wiggling is meant so you aren't on the killer's shoulders as long as they want you to.
My personal build involves Breakdown, so when I'm about to die in a chase i run into a corner. If I'm tunneled after being unhooked i run back into the same corner and its a 50/50 as to whether the game spawned another hook close enough.
You can stall a lot if there isn't a hook nearby by continuously running back, if they leave you on the ground, you won the battle.
-
Wonder what they'll turn this into, as it does nothing now.

Would be nonsensical. Giving everyone, every time my exact location within 16 m of a hooked survivors, for free? Crazy idea. Camping is scummy I know, but some killers are very good at it. I had a lot of fun at times with Wraith, downing the same guy again and again, fresh off the hook until died. If he has Kindred, then it's fair game, and I get punished for it. But a free Kindred would kill certain fun playstyles. So glad the devs ditched this silly idea.
@George_Soros Just because some killers are good at camping and that they believe it is a fun experience for them, does not mean it is good for the overall health of the game. It would be quite greedy of a camping killer to consider their (lack of) gameplay to beyond the means of balance, wouldn't you agree?
-
The main reason i dislike some Nurse's is the lack of punishment for missing an attack. Because regardless of how much you juke, they can easily catch up to you regardless, and its harder to juke a killer that has autoaim anyways.
4-5 blinks equates to 4-5 attempts to be close enough to land an attack. If a Nurse still fails after that many blinks, its on them, and there should be increased punishment. Mobility is the strongest tool, and Nurse is omnipotent when it comes to that.
I'm not saying Nurse is the most annoying killer by any means or that i hate her (unless you're that slugging Nurse, i dont feel like playing the bleedout simulator), all i believe is that a killer's power budget should be normalized by their difficulty, I know Nurse is one of the more difficult ones, but is it enough to break the game?
-
Kindred doesnt have to basekit the moment you are placed on the hook, but after maybe 30 seconds it should activate.
Equipping the perk in your loadout could make it activate immediately and provide an additional benefit, assuming basekit Kindred is weaker than the tier III variant.
It would kill (sorta) two birds with one stone, the former being camping (at least slightly) the latter being solo dolo's not bumbling about all the time
-
why are you upset about Survivors getting bloodpoints? it simply is something that doesn't concern you. it's not like any amount of bloodpoints earned on survivor will equate to anything the killer has, like Iridescent Hatchets or Ebony Mori's.
-
relying on a perk to stop campers suck, so if they were to rework Insidious to no longer work the way its usually used nowadays, this could fix the problems you have as well
-
your interpretation of super safe is based on number of pallets and not safety of pallets, they can loop you once at most pallets, if that. turn around for half a second and the survivor is unable to tell which side you'll come out of until its too late.
-
them waking up is a good thing though, since they wont be able to see you arriving to their gate until you're in a place where you can corral them. The action speed add-ons dont affect Gates to my knowledge, so really, you're asking for something that would make things worse for Freddy
-
he ain't though
-
Okay, if you guys get to know what totem is which, i want all gen auras revealed with their progress shown by the intensity of their aura? no agreement? no dice.
-
once the killer bap's a survivor, that should be the case as well
-
If they let us have a unique input for entering lockers, that would stop that issue
-
No
-
great comic strip edit
-
Horrible idea, we dont need to further reinforce a meta by forcing people to play certain people just to perform well. Imagine loving a character but hating their perks and now you're stuck in dissatisfaction limbo
-
Because, y'know, there aren't a million other aura perks that already reveal your aura to the killer. What's one more?! 🙃
-
i mean one person urban-ing all game already spells doom for the team if they aren't rushing from gen to gen and can also survive chases for lengthy periods of time
-
thats a pretty reasonable buff, not anything too groundbreaking, but something noticeable when it counts.
-
Dedicated Servers are coming real soon, don't worry bud.
-
Or, or...we can be smart and buff solo survivors and give them as much information as a SWF group would have, then you change the game based on that and it wouldnt matter as much as to whether or not a group was in the game or not.
-
Make the maps darker for survivors (not killers), add more ambiance, reinforce stealth gameplay (because its actually fun, stop saying it isn't)
-
No. Instead, just make it a button hold to stop struggling. Like say, hold Spacebar for 2 seconds to stop struggling.
-
Non-issue. let people buy it, more cash cows giving BHVR money means more effort being put into the game in the long haul.
-
i cant pull flashlight saves, that being said, i don't think it should be easier to do. Its an immensely powerful tool, and extremely frustrating when performed against you.
Personally i think the bulb add-ons shouldnt change the timing of the blind, but instead just the duration and strength of said blind.
-
Why would any facecamper be bothered by a slightly reduced movement speed debuff? this doesn't fix any issues with the perk.
-
or, or...stop camping the hook. thanks.
-
what is there to enhance? its not like the graphics are anything phenomenal or groundbreaking on PC either
-
I like to chat after a good game, and nothing is more humiliating than realizing I've been talking to no one.
no, let people leave in peace.

Putting aside how much auditory clutter is in the game with the loud chase music, etc, the issue is still that the blind is FREE.
the chase music was made quiet, what do you mean?
-
there are other killers out here rampaging on the killing grounds, and your worry is about Ghostface?
-
We need male survivor's that even Nicki Minaj will do a double take at
-
Rarity is not equal to strength. at all. like, at all at all. There are plentiful good green rarity perks, and plentiful purple perks that are either extremely niche, or just not good. Hell, Discordance has an argument to being its best at tier 1 where its yellow, than tier 3 where its green.
