there are some maps that do lack lockers, mostly because there wouldn't be a logical area for them to be placed, so maybe lockers themed to the maps could be placed in more obscure areas that aren't the looping areas as well?
-
No and No.
- will never happen since there are multiple perks that could save the last person whether they just got downed or have been downed for a while. You cannot say someone's gameplay should be nullified just because you want the game to end so easily. A 4K shouldnt be something a person easily gets, especially when the game is balanced for 2K's.

I'm honestly more concerned with things that affect gameplay than someone's hair being stiff.
How many times do we have to teach this lesson OLD MAN?! The people that would be changing hair and working on cosmetics are not the people working on gameplay.

I usually always wait to see if another survivor is going to switch, or if the ping becomes unstable at any point (thank Entity for Dedicated Servers)
-
if you're on PC, switching struggle to scrolling through your mouse wheel will make things much easier! was a godsend for me.
-
Enduring +Spirit Fury, now with free Brutal Strength!
-
I want a male survivor that makes me say "would you care for some hole, sir?" that is all...
-
no one is forcing anyone to prestige. My friend does it because she's a completionist. I do it for the bloody clothes. My other friend does it to restart the difficulties of having less perks/ not the perks they're used to.
-
Should you get something? I mean, I guess, if you want it that bad. Should you get Legacy? never. Legacy was given due to the pure difficulty of prestiging at all, especially back then when there was less players, less content, and less of a reason not to.
-
I'm hoping Insidious gets reworked to be the premiere perk to spoop with. I understand why they put it in the game back then, nowadays people abuse anything and everything there is to offer in this game, so, you know, we gotta change things too.

Apparently. And yet many survivors ask why they only see Nurse, Billy, and Spirit.
I'm pretty sure Spirit, Nurse, Billy, and Huntress are the main reason why there are still so many on that map. Huntress only because there is no wall to protect you from.
-
i have yet to experience the same map twice, the way they're able to change the orientations of all the tiles while still feeling like the same map is great!
-
Bubba needs far more than just a buff or a add-on overhaul, he needs to be changed. periodt. He should have a better power that isnt worth camping with. Nobody likes sitting on the hook for 2 minutes just because a killer can go "RMB,and...you're dead!" in front of them.
-
if you see multiple survivors rushing the hook and you cant do anything about it its on you, you can injure them and they run away, or you can drop them and its another easy down. I dont see the issue here at all...trust me, people have body blocked me. trust me, it aint that serious.
-
Freddy was not fun on either side, i for one, am rather glad about the changes. Goodbye tunnel monster, hello Nightmare.
-
There's killers that can traverse most maps in less than 10 seconds and your issue is with a killer who's power slows himself down?
Let scary killers be scary!
-
i do believe that would fix the issues with the perk. p l s
-
Chests feel bad enough as killer, as a survivor who would have otherwise have died, gets a free escape due to a successful key find in a box and camping the hatch until everyone is dead.
-
Open-Handed is tricky because its strength is dependent on both the Aura Perks used, and how many of them a team has.
Ace in the Hole is just Niche, i wouldnt personally call it weak
Up the Ante though, is just indeed literal trash, after learning how little Luck affects. I think the Luck mechanic would have to change as a whole in order for this perk to be useful, and then all the offerings and such would have a greater use.
-
I think one of the things they couldve done with the perk is that the Obsession does not change if you are currently chasing your Obsession. I've had this happen many times and its screwed me over many tokens that barely do much in the first place.
-
i think the devs can make the theme of rushing more thematic. Rushing leads to more mistakes.
Toolboxes now all decrease the size of Skill Checks, with the higher speed toolboxes having lower and lower sizes to compensate for the speed they offer.
All perks that can increase gen repair speed, reduce the size of the skill checks at double the value.
The game itself also checks for how fast gens are being repaired, and will automatically adjust the difficulty depending on whether or not you're clearing gens like speed demons.
Great Skill Check sizes are also decreased (as i believe they are unaffected currently?)
Like this, perks and killers that make performing skill checks more difficult increase in value as well, shaking up the meta.
-
Technician should be about working on gens without the fear of the killer being knowledgeable on whether or not you're working on it, it should NOT be a perk to specifically counter a perk that can easily be found on the majority of maps.
-
Billy worked very hard to produce all that corn in the field, dont ban him!
-
I'd prefer dailies that were more generic for killer or survivor that gave bloodpoints for performing well and in a healthy manner. People want to play what they want to play, I don't see how forcing people to play something else is going to make things more fun. Award points for safe unhooks and other ways that don't promote toxicity, that way you can promote healthy gameplay and award people for doing so!
-
Thanatophobia requires extreme amounts of pressure to perform well with, and there are few killers that can TRULY provide that amount of pressure. Even then, Nurse's and Billy's would much rather take other perks that provide much more value within the game.
-
Maybe to not screw both sides over, the perks only work intermittently (he becomes immune for a period of time, then entering a short cooldown). That would cause people's trust in their Anti-Ghostface builds to turn on them, and make OoO a lot more threatening to carry when you're up against him.

It could be a Hex and work like "Hex: The Thrid Seal" but with earing instead of sight. Ot better yet: Buff that Hex with that new deafened status effect
Great idea, that would greatly increase the value of that "Hex:" perk. I think people are highly undervaluing how much sound matters in this game, especially as a survivor.
Imagine if you couldn't hear Myers' breathing when he approached you. or better yet, remember when Ghostface still had that terribly loud trash compactor sound when he was near you. Yeah...it makes a difference.
-
I feel like its such a catch 22. As Ghostface you want to be stealthy and not be revealed easily, as you are a regular 32 meter TR killer otherwise...with the only option being M1'ing as well.
As a survivor, when you know there's a Reveal mechanic, you want to make use of it. When you spot him and it doesn't start the reveal, or he consistently ducks when spotted until you're exposed, its not a good feeling.
As a person that's played both, i can see from both sides.
Personally, i just run when i see Ghostface. staring at him while im running away, as it's what i'd do against Myers either way. Relying on a inconsistent mechanic to save you from the Exposed status isn't worth it.
As Ghostface myself, i just enjoy the concept of stealth, i much prefer trying to grab people off gens or stab them from up close while they're unaware to the act of The Staring Contest
-
I personally believe they should put the resources in lobby music towards unique terror radius themes. Im not upset about the lobby themes, but if im hearing them, its usually only because im waiting for a match, in which im usually alt-tabbed or listening to my own thing.
-
there are two sides to the offering coin, if there's one that slows down gen speed, there's gonna be an offering that increases gen speed. that being said, id much rather have a killer with a gen speed offering than a mori one.

Definitely like this idea. Could also be really good if for the Killer gens aura change color to show they've been blocked indicating a nearby survivor.
For example the 4 closest gens would show red as normal, the 3 furthest would show white to indicate they'll be blocked. And if a survivor *triggers* the Entity to block them they could change to yellow auras. This would help because I'm sometimes required to go check the blocked gens because 2-4 of the survivors are just crouching waiting for the gen to be unblocked, making this an almost pointless perk.
wow, that's actually a really great idea, thanks for the contribution!
-
well it wouldve been broken in his future form where sleep is unavoidable.
-
im guessing you'll be compensated for all bloodpoints you would have gotten
-
all emblems are being reworked, they had a section of their year-3 livestream talking about it

I believe these terms are being used to show how relatively powerful their effects are. If the numbers were given, it would be easy to incorrectly estimate the actual difference it makes.
A "slight" charge speed increase may be something like 8%. That doesn't sound like much, but it makes a big difference in its role, and has to be low as to not completely break powers.
Compare that to old Combat Straps - they had the "slightly" designation but increased crouch speed by 100%. That's because that's where the value is relevant.
I do however agree that transparency of numbers can be a useful tool for those that understand them and are interested in the fine-tuning of game balance. It was one of my pet peeves in Diablo 3 (until I learned there was a setting to turn on number percentages!). A toggle in settings would be very cool.
while you believe that is the case, someone higher in the post pointed out that two add-ons for The Pig have the term "moderately" that increase/decrease the timer, yet one has double the value of the other.
Considering the impact of the timer is relative to how you wish to play the game, numerical values would benefit us far more.
We dont need a company to decide what mechanics have value and what buffs actually make a difference, that's for us to decide whats truly tremendously important

They seriously need to revert the music change, it was fine the way it was on both sides. Also, does anyone know why they got rid of the music that plays when you're carrying a survivor?
it was not fine the way it was on both sides. Actually, nearly everyone(both survivor and killer) was complaining that it was too loud. You could not hear the hatch, nor most survivor noises over the TR music. So, as a proper choice, they then made it quiet. Now that it's quiet, the other people are now complaining that they can't hear it (which, by the way, you don't need the music to determine killer distance, as the heartbeat, which can still definitely be heard, is as good of an indicator, without blaring in your ears)
-
There is not one sane person that thought Mettle of Man was a perfectly balanced and fair perk. likewise, there is not one sane person that would have believed that said perk would remain in its original state for very long.
That single perk had the capability to ruin any chance the killer had at a victory (kill), especially if they were not top tier, or had no way of instantly downing you/ killed you with their power.
-
Margarita machines were the best, i just wish they were animated more
-
Purchasing a whole character for one perk is already a chance, especially knowing that strong perks get balanced all the time (BBQ, all exhaustion perks, D-strike, etc.)
BHVR owes no one anything for buying something just because it was outright overpowered. People knew it from Day 1, you could watch videos and streams of everyone saying its broken. You'd have to be delusional to believe that perk would be at the same strength forever.
-
The one and only issue people would like to hear is how this removes or reduces his camping power
If you cannot solve this issue, a large portion of people will not approve of a buff towards him, as his power in itself leads to THE most un-fun kind of gameplay in Dead By Daylight.

Claudette main crying she can't hide everywhere. I'm honestly shocked lol
thats not what they are saying in the least bit, they are talking about how in a horror game, the game is incredibly bright. I also agree with that sentiment, and how it should look darker when you are a survivor to improve the atmosphere
-
Ghostface does have a miss penalty, actually. if you are currently stealthed and perform an offensive action, you lose stealth whether or not you land the attack.
Maybe Dedicated Servers could improve your experience, assuming all goes well
-
We'll need Dedicated Servers to come so we can put vaulting to a truer test, killer latency makes it hard to judge whats truly at fault.
As a person who also plays a lot of survivor, i can understand the frustrations with getting hit "after" vaulting, but until the game doesn't rest in the hands of a connection that can be both unstable and potentially controlled (abused) we'll have to wait and see.
-
When I started this game, i sucked. I lost, i died. Did i give up? No... i improved, i researched, i didnt complain, i tried my hardest.
If a person cant handle the game, they cant handle the game. you cant balance a game around people who couldn't handle their first few hours on it because it was "too hard". they sure dont balance other games because a new player cant grasp basic concepts.
I watch friends play that are new/ less skilled and the things they ask for are absurdly ridiculous simply because they don't fully get how to work efficiently in the game. They want things like old D-strike and other mechanics that would break the game for no relative skill cost.
I am not saying you need to screw over new people and never care about their opinions, its just that as you improve your perspective on the game changes (rather rapidly with this game)
-
everyone skips the into anyways, the spent a lot of money on that animation regardless, i'd prefer the budget go into things we'd actually see
-
On one hand, they reduced the range, so thats good.
on the other hand, Ghostface can still hear it...
People complained about the music being too loud because it was distracting, Ghostface shouldnt have to put up with his own noise.
-
Ruin, survivors are FORCED to deal with Ruin regardless of what they want to do.
Nurse's on the other hand, is completely controlled by survivors, and smart survivors will rush through the gens not caring about healing whatsoever, minimizing your use of Nurse's.

It is way too loud and also completely unnecessary. Who needs a 2nd audio cue signalling their madness went up besides the screaming? It's already pretty obvious I think.
the signaling is more than likely for Calm Spirit users, who would otherwise not have an audio cue.

If you're trying to do a staring contest against Ghostface you're doing everything wrong.
imagine a stalker was peeking out of a corner and you spotted him, would you just look at him? no, you run away from the situation, keeping your eyes on him to make sure you know where he is.
similarly, in DBD, you don't just stand there while he build up his exposure on you, you run away and focus on him.
