I dont think exposure is necessary, the chains just need to get increasingly aggressive over time, spawning closer to the survivor, shooting out faster from the portals, and increasing chain spawn frequency.
It's not so fun playing keep-away if you literally can't get anything done or go anywhere

The ways Ive been using it are as follows:
Scouting: I use the open portal action, then aim it to get a good look around through walls and levels, then cancel.
Perk Shutdown: Clever use of the hook can keep people from using Sprint Burst and Dead Hard.
Loop Shutdown: Pretty self explanatory.
Misc Uses: In addition to the above, you can use it to buy time away from flashlighters, scare people off gens and totems, and even hold people in place while you break pallets and walls.
If a survivor is near 2nd phase or death on the hook, you can use the chains to slow down the rescuer from making it to the hook on time.
This can also apply to exiting the gate before Endgame Collapse timer ends, but the odds of that situation being possible is extraordinarily slim.
-
I think its the animations. Seeing a survivor get trapped in chains instead of teabagging you or running away is pretty satisfying to see.
-
Feedback: Ready for deletion.
-
he just makes people who fool around suffer. If you're an urban evading nea or always self-caring claudette, you'll probably think he's broken because of the passive.
-
Yeah if they're going to add ambient sounds for Pinhead (assuming its not a bug), they should at least sound visually distinct from The Lament Configuration.
-
some people don't realize that if you suck, you are paired with people who also suck. SBMM will never purposely try to match you with 'sweaty' (because that means something only to DBD players) people if you aren't sweaty yourself.
-
If the perk replaces DS or BT or UB or whatever killers like to complain about, will you really be mad?
Better yet, what if they require making a boon totem in order to use one of those meta perks you hate?
Then its a justified nerf in your eyes and all is well!
-
- Pinhead can have his power denied before it can even activate
- Pinhead has to activate his power and aim his portal, then aim a chain in accordance to said portal with its limited turn rate, after that he must find a way to reach the survivor without breaking any chains himself or the survivor runs away free.
Please enlighten me as to how you only get 2 gens done when the killer has no mobility. Are two people refusing to play in every single match you play? I am woefully unaware of the circumstances you're playing in that prevent you from holding a button and performing skillchecks.
-
This only happens when there are 4 survivors that are both alive and not downed or hooked, so realistically you're already in a good position so why should the chains go easy?
-
"I have 2.5k hours in the game"
"I was obliterated by Iri I/II survivors"
Well...are you expecting to be matched with baby survivors with 2.5k hours? with 2.5k hours you should know better than to play unleveled killers.
This is a you problem.
-
and by fixed you mean, fixed by there being an additional input, not by nerfing Pinhead.
-
They look old...and rickety...like a pallet thats been abandoned should look...

Blight was nearly unsuable on console for many months, he's also recieved a few welcome changes on top over time (while also removing exploits)
Realistically, people just eventually realize that Mobility is the strongest tool a killer has, and for Blight, he has plenty of it.
-
Nurse and Clown dont have global slowdown/crowd control/tracking passively.
You cant throw a clown bottle through a wall to slow down a survivor
Clown cannot teleport to a survivor to start a chase instantly
Clown's bottles do not prevent a Sprint Burst survivor from making distance (maybe the most satisfying use of chains)
Clown's bottles do not force a survivor to slow (stealth) vault, most effective when it happens at a pallet.
Clown cannot stop someone from working on a gen instantaneously from another floor of a building.
Clown's bottles do not point in the direction of the survivor like the chains do.
Would it have been more effective to play Nurse and just land right on the survivor? more than likely, but we all know you either love Nurse or show great disdain.
-
Love the linked cosmetics when you almost never see the weapon, im not paying 1485 or whatever it is just for a body and face.
(I also would never buy a weapon unless it made the weapon smaller or less noticeable, but that's besides the point)
-
I like how people were defending reverse stuns because they were 'fun'.
As if the killer getting stunned because of an unintended bug is fun to them.
-
the dudes only two posts, I wonder if they're still alive...literal necroposting
-
Yup, same thing happened to me. It's that exact pallet in that area, only being breakable on the other side (of which i also was on the wrong side of)
-
Chain Hunt active, but the last action was a dc, which was not a scoring event until after the match was complete
Watch "Pinhead Not Crashing" on Streamable. -
Watch "Pinhead Crash 2" on Streamable.
This time it happened right as the hook was going to be inputted.

Im sure hes tons of fun against a group of solo baby survivors. Try going up against a SWF who knows how to play and youll see how useless all his powers are
I have, they all were busy using Head On, flashlighting and bodyblocking to realize that they were willingly letting the Chain Hunt progress without also getting gens done.

So your game crashed when the survivor was sacrificed. That lines up with my current theory that the crash is related to events where you earn bloodpoints. I can't tell from your video, but do you remember if the blood hunt was active before downing the last survivor?
I had downed Nea who was holding the Lament Configuration, so yes, the Chain Hunt was active at the time.
-
He feels amazing to me, I dont know what y'all are doing wrong.
-
Watch "Pinhead Crash" on Streamable.
If you believe it helps then here you go
-
ive noticed this as well, but its not every single lunge attack that feels this way.
-
Killers tell survivors to do bones and now that it comes with a benefit its a problem?
-
it comes out tomorrow so they can laugh at all the "SBMM is horrible" threads that will be made today when its not even enabled.
-
I play Nemesis so it has no affect on me, so, pretty wonderful addition.
-
Someone else has also written a thread about giving Head On an aura, i'll go see if i can't find it right now.
Edit:
@aperoni said:
I'm sure a lot of people who use/have used Head-On in public matches will tell you that it's practically impossible to pull it off in solo-queue. I was talking with my friend about this and they brought up a very smart idea of showing the locker's aura to every survivor in the trial, or at least within a certain radius. What do you guys think?
-
Survivors cant do gens and bodyblock at the same time.
Also if you had used Agi+Star you just run to the gen they're working on and hook them there. They can't bodyblock, they cant work on the gen, they cant save without immediately being downed, and if they want to work on a different gen they have to abandon the hook and run across the map. Now you have a hook and a gen to pressure with and the survivors are in a difficult position.

It's nice when it works out that way. I enjoy totem hunting purely for fun, so when Hex perks are in play I have a blast, but it's often just too late into the trial that Ruin finally goes. 3-4 minutes of Ruin/Tinkerer/Wraith is devestating.
I mean yeah that's usually the reality, but its the fantasy that really drives the totem hunting gameplay
-
Either way I thoroughly enjoy destroying totems, so when I get rid of Undying and then Ruin the feeling of the killer losing their grasp on the game is oh so satisfying.
-
If it ain't Ace, might as well erase.
-
Honestly I take flashlights as a blessing; either I can equip lightborn and screw them over, take Franklin's and watch them die trying to re-obtain their item, or I can just rest assured without either perk knowing they will waste a vast amount of time trying to blind me instead of pushing their objective forward.
-
Entity forbid players reap what they sow, that would be oh so terrible.
-
Well if playing DBD was tied to a BHVR account then they couldn't switch their name at the end, because the switching is to someone else's Steam Profile.
-
Well someone's gotta play The Hellpriest. Even if it ends in many sheer losses, I will eventually have potatoes of my own to chain up.

Never admit to owning a Wii. It can't be known that we played sonic and the secret rings. We can't let Sega know we played it.

Franklin's if they have items, and if not then I'm going Bamboozle.

In case you need to look at it

I mean, its 500k more a month than it used to be, nothing I can complain about...
But do the points get saved and are banked over 1 Million like when you enter a Bloodpoint code?
Because I always try to keep a high number of bloodpoints for Mid-Chapter and new Chapter updates. If I gain 500k when I already have 850k, do i just lose out on 350k of that?
-
i think he's really cool, but his power is personally too awkward to use. Maybe i'd get used to it, but depending on the price I might not be into it.
-
If you're the last survivor you should be able to Force-Trigger a mori after 60 seconds, or at least summon the entity like in Endgame and have it terminate the match by killing you.
-
Who could say Dead Space cant fit when Trickster exists? y'all wild for that.
-
Boring, uninspired, empty, impossible for either side to properly perform stealth in.

Oni both as a concept and mechanically.
Nurse just due to her sheer power from mobility.
