Tier III

Gen tap nerf is what I see happening first
gen kick buffing can potentially (rarely ever) get out of hand
but gen tapping as a concept is ridiculous.

And the community seriously needs to stop excusing this issue as "wEll tHeRe wiLl aLwAyS bE cHeAtErS" because with that dumb as [BAD WORD] attitude, this will never get fixed.
I agree.
While it's true that games do and WILL get cheaters, dbd seems to get them consistently and it's almost like nothing's being done, especially as of lately.
Its not even just consistent cheaters, its the SAME consistent cheaters that never get banned.
The same cheaters having the same name, wearing the same outfit, performing the same cheats.
-
Never seen that before, truthfully.
-
Twins...there is no other option.
-
Zombie AI and Possessed Chains adjustments to minimize worse case scenario's
-
Dang I leave work to come to my desk and read that BHVR has indulged themselves in this monstrosity?
Then its not even just NFT's, its gambling on top?
Truly awful.
-
There should be a lower tier version of Undetectable with a different name.
Killers like Michael and Ghostface would be Undetectable type killers
Demo and killers that gain Undetectable via add-ons should have a lower tier version that is less potent and works with perks.
Undetectable should make mean you are quiet and that perks dont work to detect you.
-
I love Conquerer, but I dont see any person that could ever use that skin in comparison to a Shugoki skin for The Oni.
-
When I was very early in my DBD career, holiday 2018, I was playing on Macmillan with my 3 close friends.
Billy within 10 seconds found me, then found all my friends within the first minute of the match.
We now say " We dont talk about that match." or "the match we dont talk about".
-
They were hidden in the test, I dont know why they decided to show them after.
Either go back to hiding them or show the character's portrait.
-
My last match, the one that just ended for me, ALL gens became 99'd in the first 10 second of the game.
Same person kept instantly healing themselves, I just tapped the gens to trigger EGC so we could all move on.

How is it free when you need to time it perfectly or you just go on the ground?
To op, because after ds complaints its the turn of dh, after dh it will be for adrenaline and after adrenaline bt
because thats not how you make use of the perk to its full potential, you use it to reach a window and extend a chase by at least 15 seconds more than it should have been.
-
if you're the last one, where is the harm in it? The killer could kill you, but they arent on purpose. or maybe they lost you and cant find you.
In that situation, there is no meaningful reason as to why the survivor just cant wish to sacrifice themselves to expedite the process and get into the next match.
No one wants to wait 5 minutes for a match to spend 4 minutes on the ground.

Escaping should always grant you a black pip minumum
considering it doesnt affect matchmaking anymore, this should definitely should be the case.

It's her new television series, Jane and The Shape.
-
Instead of doing the camera pan around the killer at the start of the game, it should show a top down view of the map. cross sectioned if its indoor.
So you very swiftly have to choose your Hex location before the game actually starts, it'll show your 5 totem locations, and you click to light them. If you have multiple, for balance purposes, you cannot choose or know which hex is being placed.
If you decide not to choose your locations, they'll be decided at random obviously.
-
The Cenobite is the only killer with a ranged ability that has a possibility of doing absolutely nothing. Even Nemesis' ability at least infects the survivor, and that's not even including the pallet breaking.
Unless the loop is a low wall, odds are the effectiveness of your Summoned Chains are going to be significantly reduced.
-
The lunge when uncloaking was massively inflating his odds of beating a 50/50, its the best change they couldve done, it was all i personally cared about.
-
if you didnt grab them, you'd down them with an attack. either way they're in the same health state.

That's an oof.
Hopefully it takes the same amount of time to bless a totem as it does to destroy it at least.
Mandy also said it takes the same amount of time (maybe a bit longer)

Well that's 144 seconds of all 4 survivors not being on gens so I hope you aren't just walking around aimlessly.

What exactly is the killer in your scenario doing while all 4 survivors are resetting at once, taking a piss in the corner?
1) If all current gens are at or near 0, which can certainly happen if the killer created pressure while ruin was active, or Pop was just recently used on the primary gen of focus, there is no net loss for the survivor
2) I've you've ever actually played with your friends in a SFW group, you'd know how to properly reset and not get caught. If the killer is patrolling, they get free heals. If the killer decides to go on a search, they likely will not find the survivors, and if some survivors heal early, they get free time on the gen
I hope you know the sheer strength and affect a medkit has on the game.
-
4 SWF survivors all bring medkits, killer currently has massive pressure. All survivors decide to reset and heal with their medkits.
Then they do it again.
Then they do it again.
Then they do it again.
The survivors win.
-
Hatch and keys are great and fair and there is nothing wrong with that.
Plague changes seem cool, could care less about the Cowboy.
No Mither buff will at least make matches in which people use them a little more bearable, really hate how they are condoning the restrictiveness of the perk because people want it to be "hard mode".
Blindness on Mindbreaker is weird, but i'll take it I suppose.
-
u-huh.
-
Interlocking Razor should be base-kit. Failing skill checks is nearly impossible.
-
Or, you know, its because they both have powers with extremely limited/no counterplay except guessing what the killer will do, which is unhealthy...like the Dev Notes stated they were?
Also, searched up 'fun' on this Dev Update and saw that the reason Plague was being buffed was because they want her to be more fun to play.

Imagine you bring your boon perk and the Nancy with Inner Strenght cleanses all the totems
As an Inner Strength user I am very conflicted.
If DBD would just show perks like the mobile version does, I'd know how many totems to leave to my teammates.

Huntress is 32 lullaby and 20 terror. She can also down you over every pallet as well as some lower loops. He cant do that, he gets an injure and suffers a stun penalty. He has no positive over huntress now in any category
Her lullaby is 45 meters.
-
Corrupt Intervention lasts 2 minutes, with Prayer Tablet Fragment, infection lasts 80 seconds. This guarantee's that all 4 gens will be infected for a good chunk of time.
Remember that they added a penalty to working on infected objects and that the fragment doubles infection rate from that source.
Also in your completely unrelated second paragraph you stated that you don't want boon totems but you also believe survivors rush gens and never do totems. So how do survivors get boon totems if they aren't...doing the totems? and how will they rush gens if they go for boon totems?
BTW Hatch and key was nerfed, you should look into that to prevent your whole doom and gloom situation.
-
It's kinda like when they over-buffed Spies From the Shadows temporarily and removed its cooldown, yes you get information but it can be so much that its overwhelming to the person using it.
-
While I do feel bad sometimes, I just do gens, I dont have the time to care too much about it.
-
The box isnt coming for you, this isnt Fortnite.
-
Boon: Camaraderie
After blessing a totem, Boon: Camaraderie activates.
If another survivor is within 16 meters of your hook while Boon:Camaraderie is active, the timer is paused for 26/30/34 seconds, once per phase.
The totem is revealed for the same duration to the killer.
-
the next update has a survivor, so, i will continue to play and maybe my build will change as well
-
Being able to trap two of the three escape routes of the basement means he has massive early snowball potential and is able to completely shut-down one of the best common loops without needing to spend extra time anymore.
If you can achieve an early basement hook, I'm sure he shot up on the list...but of course that requires a basement hook.
-
You should be able to last second-swap survivors...
But any survivor that has an item is locked out at the 25 second mark.
-
If they assist the team and are very supportive in nature, it'll be my favorite type of perk.
I love Blast Mine for its focus on being aggressive to the killer by pounding out gens, and I also love cleansing so Boon Totems are right up my alley.
-
There are people who thought Release Trickster was broken and OP. I dont doubt anyone on thinking anything is OP when they're up against it.
-
So then I stop quickly repairing my gen and that gives you time to make a comeback and snowball.
No.
-
Oh no, whatever shall a killer with a 176% move-speed special attack do now that they actually have counterplay?

Oh yeah true, seems like they are aiming for it to be "rolled out" completely by mid-2022
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2512144#Comment_2512144
That's good to hear, is it different at all though?
Not from what I can tell, looks and plays exactly the same, with the same hitches like when gens pop or Blast Mine triggers.
-
Im running DBD on Windows 11 just fine
-
Prolong the time between boxes?
Limit the number of box spawns?
You do know if you solve the box it takes 45 seconds to respawn? That's on top of the 90 seconds to fully activate the Chain Hunt.
-
Nurse will outpace
Blight will outpace
Wraith will outpace
Billy will outpace
Victor will outpace
Spirit will outpace
Oni with Demon Dash will outpace
Freddy will teleport in front of them
Demo will teleport in front of them and can close an 11 meter gap as it's attack.
Hag will teleport on top of them and hit them
Huntress will snipe
Deathslinger will pull
-
I played this map as Pinhead. A survivor was about to hit the second stage so I blocked a doorway. Since it was a staircase doorway, they would've had to run all the way around that section of the map to go and get the save, while the Chain Hunt is still counting down so they just dc'd.
Can't imagine anyone finding their hook saves being denied by a narrow doorway unfun. That most definitely is the epitome of fun map balancing!

The question is why is Clown's power, also a slow and much easier to use, a net benefit when used in the open to catch up, but Cenobite's isnt? Even in loops The Clown's Tonic lingers, but if The Cenobite's so much as touches any terrain, you may as well have never used the power at all in most circumstances.
Nurse, who's power is similar closes the distance but Cenobite's doesn't unless you're at a loop, but only if that loop contains short/no walls. Even if it doesn't contains walls the pallet can break the chains. If the pallet doesnt break the chains, then you can break the chain.
Doctor's power can stop a vault a pallet drop, you can chain both survivors hands up, but they can still drop the pallet and force you to run around or break it.
The Cinnabon is nothing but his Lament Cinnamonguration.
Im also saying this as I play survivor as well, and I've run him on locations where his power will never serve him use.
-
Considering the amount of Survivors I've had that have attempted to abuse that bug, it seriously is a buff...
-
It would need a secondary effect, most of the time you're destroying something, its usually in visual range of the survivor, and even if it isnt, the survivor will be waiting in the corner where they'll have enough time to make an executive decision as to where they should go next.
Might as well add it to Brutal Strength.
-
Just faced a Spirit who knew where everyone was, no matter the circumstance.
By this I mean, she would down someone, go all the way across the map and find and down someone else, do it to a third person, and I'm just here trying to pick everyone up before their inevitable demise.
This is including my own position after hiding in a locker. Did not have Charge add-ons but was using Haunting with extreme frequency.
If hacking was taken control of, I would have less to complain about. Using Spirit to throw people off of it as well is sad.
Thing is, i'd much rather have a killer hacker than a survivor hacker. A killer hacker will you out the gate in 5 minutes (assuming no slug). A survivor hacker will prevent you from playing, and possibly soft-lock you out of finishing the match, to which i've had the displeasure of also experiencing (this specific survivor failed to soft-lock and fell to the ground and died).
