All the value on this perk relies on you getting the hook before they rush the gens too hard, one bad early chase and that perk wont do as much for you as it shouldve.
Can't be OP when the early game is a killers weak suit, but it sure is lovely being rewarded to hook now.

Lack of alternative Assym options that actually last.
-
if they're Meg or Nea they gotta GO.
-
Passive Invisibility, Passive phasing, Passive survivor debuff, teleport that leads directly to the main survivor objective.
Yeah, noob tube is the best answer.

If they add her at the Mid-chapter before Ringu, it would be perfect timing.
Literally, who doesn't want Brenda?

It's No Mither...

This thread is exactly why killer is so stale and homogenous...

The Loading screen says something about crouching against her, but the way they made that a whole paragraph I was not able to read it.

For those not aware of the numbers involved, let's be clear:
- It takes a survivor 1 second per chain to shake off their chains
- It takes .75 seconds for Pinhead to engage the first person view of the chain after setting the portal
- It takes 1.5 seconds for Pinhead to recover from using his chains and being able to move again.
- Two chains reduce survivor movement to 1.69, one chain to 2.26
So: If a survivor is running forward at the standard 4 m/s, pinhead stops for .75 seconds to go into the chain, takes a variable amount of time to land a hit with it, but let's say 0.25 seconds. The killer then recovers in 1.5 seconds and the survivor breaks free in 2 seconds, giving Pinhead a grand total of 0.87m advantage to catch up over the 0.5 seconds his power is actually slowing the survivor while he can move.
That's roughly 1/2 the bonus Clown gets for hitting you with a bottle, to say nothing of the gas sticking around, hitting multiple survivors, being easier to aim, and not being arbitrarily disabled by random spawn locations.
So, Pinhead's main power at -1 chain is a worse, harder to use, more punishing, single-target CLOWN.
If anyone tells you that the new Engineer's Fang nerf isn't that bad, well they simply don't understand math.
Yeah I just realized, Clown's one shot bottle is perfectly fine but Engineer's Fang is too much?
Clown gets multiple chances to use it, and even if he cant land it on their back, he can close in to have an easier chance of it later. If Pinhead misses the chase can be over just like that.
Not to mention Clown circumvents all mechanics around injury, the speed boost, the potential Dead Hard, multiple injury perks, Pinhead has to sit through all of that.
Just let both be strong!

I thought this wouldve been about Dead Harding through traps, the true bane of Trapper's existence.

People grind rifts?
There's something worth grinding?

There's been an increase in DC'ing survivors. Pretty lame how people will give up, even when you and them had BP offerings.

The flashlight is the most powerful item in the game and I am tired of pretending it's not.

When I hear the laughing/taunting nature of Trickster, all mercy flys out the window. I mean, if you die to him, it truly is on you.
-
Survivor stealth is built around the limited FOV of the killer, unless there are massive changes to how stealthy survivors can be (which there wont) after killers can increase their FOV to just see whatever they want, then the answer will always be no.
-
Happy thanksgiving!
Remember to be thankful when you're Healthy, because you never know when you'll be Exposed to losing Health States.
-
Survivors should just be blinded to totems while on the hook, that way it'll at least take a miniscule effort to find it rather than none at all.
-
If high walls were non-existent, I'm sure Pinhead would be in a much better position. Wait every map has an area with high walls, oh well.

Boon totems don't work with soul guard. Proof I just recorded like 10 minutes ago.
Out here doing Lord Entity's work.

Never saw Iron Will stop a person from dying. One shot them. Make them cough, use aura's, use killer instinct. Use aura flare ups, use blood, use scratch marks, use gens, use footsteps.
-
But my Counterforce speed!
-
I have 2 games recorded from my first 3 games of the day, which had a hacker. No subtlety, just healing from downed to healthy, teleporting across the map, all the real good stuff to ruin a match. I was on the survivors end, so I could see their auras's when they were performing all this stuff.
-
Ping system? Sure. Deathgarden did it just fine.
VC is a NEVER for me and most of the community.
-
Sounds like I'm going to continue hiding and watching as people fail to catch me.
-
Girl this the old coldwind, what are you even talking about? This is at least 8 months old by now
-
Stealth barely exists in this game, survivors can barely hide with the multitude of aura perks, persistent scratch marks, killer instinct and other mechanics to reveal them. If you can't find a survivor due to them having Iron Will, thats a you problem. If you dont play an anti-stealth killer, dont complain when you cant find the survivor with Iron Will, Period.

It only makes the trickster weaker and there is really no point in it.
One could argue that it would give him too much power to camp, but other killers such as Leatherface can already do that with their base power.
Giving the trickster a time limit to use a power that he has to build up to only to have a chance at using it in a chase makes him weaker.
Please remove this unecessary restriction. Allow the trickster to hold main event until he uses it.
Doesn't Bubba go into a tantrum if he holds his power too long by the hook?
Just make Main Event go into cooldown if he stays too long by the hook, so that way all other Tricksters can just keep it whenever for whatever situations that dont involve camping.
-
It only matters if its a flashlight. Otherwise, theyve already probably exhausted their medkit/toolbox and the gesture means literally nothing.
-
I was using the other Scourge hook perk and found it kind of lacking so this should be far better for me on Trapper with my Agitation.
If they just made basement hooks count as Scourge hooks too, these perks would be far more viable in the game.

What is the point of this post other than to make a number sound larger...

Sounds good on paper but it would probably end up making hatchets go through walls
its sad how true this would be, its not even a joke at this point.

I'll miss the lab room, I thought it was pretty cool to look at.
-
What do you mean? Visionary is so meta...
-
they just wanna deflect blame for their own mistake, they know they're messing up by remaining by the hook, but their altruistic 'greed' is costing them the match.
-
I find the heart-pounding barely not getting caught aspect of the game to be far more enjoyable than a chase. A chase means I failed to sneak around. Watching the killer look around and not being able to find me will forever be my preference.

This would be great. However i feel like there is some sort of agreement made that prevents this from happening. After all they had to re-name things like "Surge" and "Second Wind"

Why did you not go after the person unhooking? Why did you let that person get unhooked? Why didn't you take Rancor? Why did you hook them so close to the gate? Why didn't you bring a mori? Why didnt you force DS earlier? Why didnt you just play Pyramid Head if you're trying to tunnel the person out?
-
I never understood why the devs went so light with Nemesis vaccine cleansing time. What's the point of infecting someone if they just easily get rid of what is otherwise supposed to be deadly? Might as well add skill checks to the vaccine box too to keep survivors on their toes.
Also, they couldve went with scarier zombies. Others have suggested the Ne-a zombies, and I think it would've been way creepier.
-
I thought thats what Trickster was going to be, the way his teaser was the playing and rewinding of the song. Wouldve been infinitely cooler than what we got.
-
Lightburn should be more effective on Nurse
-
Seeing Trickster, I wouldve been skeptical as to the direction the game wants to go to. I played years before that though, so it's too late now.
Edit: Oh yeah, and the NFT garbage.

This would be a great idea, but knowing BHVR it's not gonna happen. Or at least it wouldn't happen for another 8 years or so. I've been noticing a lot more subtle speed hacks lately from people who will stun me with pallets and gain impossibly far distance without having that perk that gives you a speed boost when you stun a killer with a pallet (can't remember the name at the moment).

So he's getting nerfed because people would rather do totems than solve the box?
I really can't...

Power relies on stealth? - Check
Power has no mobility? - Check
Power has no slowdown? Check
Power has no range? Check
Power does not aid in loops? Check
Ghostface does well in solo situations only and SWF will clobber him.
-
the t-800 was in Deathgarden, if that counts for anything
-
I mean...it's pretty horrid. Unless you knew in advance that the killer had Overcharge or Oppression (which, you can't) then there's almost no reason to take the perk. Why would you ever want a perk that relies on failing skill checks as its only power.
