Long ranty post
Tl:dr stop filling the premium track with annoying filler/clutter charms and actually give us some more Unique charms each Rift for Dolls, perk charm etc.
We are on our 4th Rift at this moment.
Keep in mind I'm only talking about a specific set of charms here. I don't have a problem with the nice little niche unique charms that might be low rarity like the triple moon or marshmallows on stick
We have currently head 7 survivors and 7 Killers so far being the tomes and the Rift.
Now each Rift we seem to have I like to call featured characters these are the characters with the purple cosmetics.
With each of these featured characters we get 5 identical charms each. 5 depicting the specific killer's face and 5 depicting something relating to that specific Survivor
So far we have.
5 Trapper's faces
5 Bonsai Trees ( spirit)
5 Huntress' Faces
5 Wraith's Faces
For Killers
___________
5 Two leaves (Claudette)
5 Lions (David)
5 Music note pics (Kate)
5 First place medals (Meg)
For survivors
_______________
Now I get what scaling of each of the charms are meant to be. The standard charm > bronze variant > silver variant > gold variant >iridescent variant.
Yes devs very clever doesn't change the fact that it's annoying clutter. Honestly you don't need more than 2 variants
By themselves annoying but not a problem when combined and you realise that these take up 10 slots each Rift usually in the premium track.
Also leave those who complete the Rift with 40 unnecessary repeat charms cluttering up their charm loadout ( 20 for survivor 20 for killer) and if this trend continues that number is only going to go up each Rift
At this stage it's downright obnoxious to look for specific charms that aren't rare, very rare or ultra rare.
Now the problem is there are actual charms that you can reasonably put on the Rift to avoid having this annoying clutter.
Out of the 14 characters we've had in the Tomes we've got 7 of them as dolls.
Tome 1- Dolls are Trapper and Claudette
Tome 2- Dolls are Spirit and David
Tome 3- Doll is Kate ( no I'm not counting that terrible rabbit doll for huntress especially considering the game doesn't even count it)
Tomes 4 Dolls are Wraith and Meg
So instead of having these annoying cut a charms how about make it so every tome character gets their own doll.
Because so far.
Jane
Doctor
Dwight
Legion ( didn't even have to be Julie specific it could have featured all of them as a group and killed 4 birds with one stone)
Huntress ( still not including it)
Ace
Hag
All don't have dolls.
So do all the people who like and main these characters have to go suck a lemon until they appear on archives again.
Honestly it's too late to go and redo the risks that have been already completed and done but starting with Tome 5 onwards could you please try to stop with the identical palette swap charms.
Add some of the dolls you've missed out on, hell add-on charms, some perk based charms, killer weapon or survivor item charms just something besides 5 of x killer's face being shoved down my throat.
I love Feng Min she's my favourite survivor but for the love of god I do not want 5 controller charms with a palette swap shoved in my face ( provided she's the featured character which I hope she is)
They need the filler to justify the grind to get you to pay to bypass it. It's pretty simple and often replicated:
1.) Create problem
2.) Provide solution
3.) Profit!!
EDIT: If charms actually did something they might be worth more. Thinking BP % gains for one. The grind is out of control here.

I was just realizing it really doesn't matter. Gens are done in dreams or awake. Avoiding the lullaby would be key enough to avoid being around Freddy. If he swipes and hits. It still counts however awake or asleep.
Yea, that's why he's not as strong as people think, although being awake makes it easier because his pitiful slow down add-ons only work in dream world. The secret is you don't waste time trying to always be awake running around looking for alarm clocks, just do the gens and it's over like any other bad M1 killer. The only thing that makes him good is the teleport, and that is situational and on a long cooldown - again augmented by add-ons that require you to be asleep.

i think we both know that isn't a question that can be answered easily from there just not being a lot of 4v1 games, and not because they were unbalanced
But here's the ones i can think of
Evolve - Wasn't very popular, but was relatively balanced, and never saw any complaints about people playing with friends in the 1+ year i played it
Predator: hunting grounds - can't say, not going to go into detail about a game i don't know a lot about
Resident evil: resistant - same as above
Look up the deathgarden thread from yesterday to see how many disagree. Naming a few games doesn't make them balanced nor good/valid comparisons. You, like most here, just want an easy win. Being the Home Alone cartoon villain getting the ######### kicked out of you by an SWF on comms after a 20 minute queue is insult to injury. I think all like you should be forced to play killer every day for a few weeks. See how it is.

Sorry let me clarify. Why can we see him when we are Awake. He still can attack. And once he swipes you when awake its automatically dream world.
Might as well stay asleep and not bother leaving the dream world. Just avoid snares you can clearly see
So, this is actually a stealth "nerf Freddy" thread. It's not about whether you can see him, you're asking why he can kill you when you're awake. This seems like a question only someone who never plays killer much less Freddy would ask.
-
@IIITweedleIII said:
I just had a realization. What does it matter if you're Awake or in Dream World if Freddy can still be seen let alone get you when you're awake? Why bother waking up? Just curious on why does it matter needing to wake up?
His snares and pallets only work when you're asleep. He has some other things that are based around you being asleep as well, add-ons, status-effects etc.
EDIT: If you're awake, he's guy-with-knife-fingers M1 only.

I feel like a major point is being missed here - the devs said the rift could be completed with an hour of play per day for the 70 days of the rift, if all the challenges were completed. That is comically inaccurate
I played probably 150 hours on the first rift and didn't hit tier 55 (had about 95% of the challenges done too). I think people would be a lot less angry about the whole rift thing if:
A - It took as long as they said it would (and not 2-3x longer)
B - If doing all the challenges got you closer to tier 70. It's kind of ridiculous that you can do all the challenges and still have to grind your way up from somewhere around tier 40/50. Means it's less about skill and more about just taking an absurd amount of time. Especially since match performance has virtually no impact on XP/shard progress
This is probably where the AFK killer bots come from. I have all the current challenges done and 99 hours played (embarrassing I know) in the last 2 weeks, which is more than a full time job, and I just hit 4/9. They're full of #########.

You guys paid for a Meg and Trapper mask?
I've played many MMOs, too many to list here really, that started off B2P with a monthly sub and then went F2P when it started waning, starting with LOTRO like 10+ years ago (which was the first one that did this, not first MMO), and it *ALWAYS* absolutely ruins the game. They get super greedy and it's flooded with cheaters/bots/######### children/gold farmers/whatever and stops being worth the time/money almost immediately.

And if everybody is going to dodge SWF, then SWF is an issue that needs to be addressed.
I love that there are pages and pages of survivor mains who just want an easy win and don't give a ######### about anyone else trying to defend against this perfect crystalline logic. I would pay to see you lay this out in a BHVR DEV meeting.

The trap has a fairly wide range. If the survivor sets it off right on the edge of the range and immediately turns and runs away, you won’t be close enough to hit them even if you teleport instantly. I use this trick against Hags quite often if I know where a trap is.
@Pennywise said:
When you teleport to a triggered trap you should always be facing the survivor. If you are not or they are far away when you teleport, it could be your addons are triggering the trap when the survivor gets within a certain radius of it, and not when they are actually stepping on it.
I have been running trap range add-ons. It's weird that they have add-ons that are effectively nerfs. I will test without them, thanks.

So the same as battlefront? Also I used proper grammar and punctuation the only problem was that it wasn't long enough I felt a need to split it into multiple paragraphs
As long as people can grind (even it's effectively an endless grind with no end) to get the killers/survivors with shards which are obtained via play time, they will defend this, because they've been inculcated to think ######### F2P practices are normal. This makes sense if you're like under 25 and never knew anything else.
Story time, games used to come complete, well tested, and with all content. DLC was not a thing. Day 1 DLC was not a thing. F2P was not a thing. The golden age of gaming is long past. The MBA douchebags have ruined another industry. Children who don't know better feed the beast and the rest of us are stuck with the ######### show.
Frankly I usually avoid ######### like this, but, I didn't know it had F2P models and grind when I bought the game, and I bought all the DLC when I bought it in the anniversary sale. If anything, it's the deceptive marketing where you think you can, you know, get the perks you already paid for to use immediately, but yea this is an EA CoD bullshit bait and switch. If the progression were reasonable it would be more tolerable.

I've already stated many times on this board that this mechanic seems too difficult to balance. However, they invested time and money into it, so it's not going away.
I don't like meters as a mechanic. Killers have enough to juggle without what are essentially extra skill checks like this.
@JawsIsTheNextKiller said:
I was playing pre-nerf Hillbilly all morning today and the chainsaw didn't overheat once (and I really abused his power). I'd rather they nerfed his ability to run a lap a round the map then STILL continue to be able to mindgame someone using the chainsaw.
However, I hope this nerf doesn't punish the lesser Hillbillies that might need a couple of goes to hit a particularly jukey Nea.
I end up mostly playing him as guy-with-hammer because all I hit are trees and walls, it seems to lock on to them even. Luckily, the last daily was just "chase people for 3 minutes".

I personally find it boring. The moment i see the communication flying i want to just switch off because there is no point.
I can down and hook them all i want, but nothing can stop the gens being done when they evenly spread out and warn each other about where you are going.
The most simple example is this. Chase a survivor off a gen at 80% and they just call over someone to finish it while being chased.
You can't keep them injured as they just organise group heals so gen "pressure" goes out the window as every chase starts from full health
You can't make plays as a killer because they just tell each other what you are doing so what is the point?
I really don't get where the "challenge" is in a stacked game.
And no.. they are NOT overly altruistic like everyone keeps spouting.
Nothing. When you start feeling like a Home Alone villain it's time to alt-tab and go back to watching YT videos until it's over. Let them waste their time.

The problem with Dead Hard is that if you’re a decent enough killer, once you know somebody has it, you’ll bait it out and then down them. So it essentially only becomes useful for getting towards a pallet or vault. A killer that knows what they’re doing won’t just swing and let you Dead Hard through an attack.
Lithe and Sprint Burst can only really be countered if you’re playing as certain killers, and sure they only grant you 3 seconds of additional speed, but that extra distance can make all the difference. I often pair Lithe with Dance With Me and it’s a great way of losing the killer.
I suppose it’s each to their own. It’s just not a perk I use a lot. I just don’t find it useful or reliable enough.
The extra time it takes to bait it is essentially giving you another one for free. For the killer to know you have it, you already had to have used it before, and they have to remember it was you and not the other 2 or 3 PR3 Claudettes or insert SWF meme of the week same cosmetic builds to make tracking harder.

SB users can safely work on gens extremely close to the killer, which is in my opinion it's biggest strength. You can also work on dead zone generators with much less risk. I always find SB users, sitting on gens until the very last second, to be significantly more annoying than someone dead harding for distance at a pallet loop.
Trying to use dead hard to actually juke an attack is risky, and will leave you exhausted on the ground alot of the time. Dead hard gets negated by exhaustion add-ons; SB does not. DH does literally nothing against 1 shot attacks, which DBD has plenty of. It's easier to manage than SB, but not nearly as powerful.
It's annoying sure, it also means you have to walk/crouch everywhere which dramatically slows your mobility. I'm not willing to give up more perk slots to compensate for that. The only perk that counters 1 shot downs is Adrenaline, as far as I know. There are also only 6 things that do this and they all have counters/drawbacks. I don't think 1 shot downs are very common at all, even so, I don't think Sprint Burst does much against them. If you're the only one and I have nothing else going I will chase you down anyway. The only reason to let it go is if there is something more important to do.
-
@TheLastGreatStar said:
Dead Hard is only really good if you’re using it to get towards a pallet, otherwise it’s pretty useless. I don’t really bother with exhaustion perks, but Lithe is definitely my favourite one to use and the one I find I get the most use out of.
I’d rank them:
- Lithe
- Sprint Burst
- Dead Hard
- Balanced Landing
- You can Dead Hard directly in to a killer and not get hit and it locks their FoV on you additionally if they swing, which is disorienting on top of a self stun for the killer (I'm rank 4 killer, have seen this happen pretty much every match at least once).
- You can Dead Hard over a trap and not trigger it.
- You can Dead Hard over holes in the ground like on preschool (saw this in a video, haven't done it myself).
- You can Dead Hard to dodge a hit and buy you distance to a window or a pallet. <--- This is the one people act like is the only thing it's good for.
I'm sure there are others but I'm still fairly new and not great at survivor (currently rank 8), but running it with DS/UB it's saved me far more often than the other two combined.
All the other exhaustion perks are just "go really fast for 3 seconds", with varying degrees of control, which is far less powerful. The cooldown could be (and really, should be) double all the other ones for Dead Hard, and it would still be the best one by far.
-
Because you ######### over everyone else who's left in the match.

Here's the video :https://youtu.be/xXizB3gus0Q
Watch how many times dead hard extended the chase MASSIVELY. Where true should have hit them but no counter because of a perk. Sprint burst gives you only some initial distance, not needed if you pay attention, and just 6 meters more of distance from the killer. Dead hard can save your life
Dead Hard has i-frames that make it insanely OP. Agreed, it's the best exhaustion perk, by miles.

It'll be an issue since everyone will dodge (find another group) if they're aware it's a SWF and those will eventually always get matched with beginners who's not aware what some SWF groups can do. Which is worse IMO.
As a new player, I did this at first, until I realized it's 100% of games with at least 2 man and like 85% with a 3 or 4 man. Killer queues are too long to lobby dodge. Not all SWFs are sweaty toxic children, but there are a lot who are, and you can't tell the difference from a lobby.

https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/KRGNIF53W3FD/en.png
And it does serve a purpose, it can help when reporting bugs, errors and other unintentional behavior as it logs everything that happens in the game. But with encryption it's less open for abuse by random players, while BHVR can obviously just decrypt the log file of someone they requested it from and get actually useful information out of it.
Yep, you're right, I went to check myself. When I first heard about it was like 2 or 3 weeks ago and it was all plaintext. Good. I wonder what method they're using now, cause I definitely still see lobby dodging.

I am a new player, and watching YT videos and reading the wiki is absolutely required. Sure, anyone can just load a game and play it at a very base level it's not hard to figure out, but there is a ton of deceptive depth stuff going on. That's not even including bugs, quirkiness and counterintuitiveness.
I had played like over a week every day before even knowing about red stain at all for example. As a killer, I would suddenly just lose matches sometimes - because there is no information about hatches. It goes on and on like this. If you want to play at anything but baby's first slasher level you absolutely have to teach yourself with 3rd party information, on both sides, but especially to play killer.
I still, with hundreds of hours and playing like a month and a half every day, have multiple Otz video tabs open at all times and multiple wiki tabs on a second monitor. There are like 20 status effects that aren't immediately clear what they do. The game uses purposefully opaque language to describe powers, perks, and add-ons (slightly, considerably, moderately, etc) which doesn't tell you anything useful because there are no hard numbers until you go look them up. Perk synergies aren't always immediately apparent, especially clever ones.
In their last player survey that I filled out, one of the things I said the game desperately needs is like a training room set up so builds can be tested. A lot of other games do this, like SMITE and World of Warships, where you can play against customized bots or ai bots or training dummies to test things out.

Back when I started a couple years ago I played for a bit then stopped, I liked the game but I was soooooo confused. Other than the load in screen tips and the brief tutorial not much explains what’s going on and now there are 20 killers with 80 perks I think on each side.
I did enjoy watching HybridPanda and a couple other streamers so eventually I learned a lot and started playing again and now I really really do enjoy it.
TLDR do you think new players can learn enough in game or do they have to watch people, and if so is that a good model?

Considering the log file you're talking about is encrypted now I'd say they weren't exactly thrilled by people doing it.
Luckily they knew that trying to punish people for doing it would be a waste of time (impossible to conclusively prove unless they confess to doing it) and instead they fixed the core of the problem.
It's not encrypted, that's why you can literally just do a search in a log file with notepad. They've made this stupid easy to do. If the devs didn't want it used it could simply not write the information to the log file, it serves no purpose anyway, except another way to ######### over killers. It's also widely used. Lobby dodging survivors are very common once someone in the SWF doesn't like the killer.

Who did you play as? Let me guess.
Freddy, Hag, Huntress, Deathslinger, Doctor, Pyramid Head, or Oni.
But really probably any Killer. They do it out of spite/frustration, they see they aren't going to win, their SWF buddy died, etc. If all they're gonna lose is like 1k BP, who cares? There is no D/C penalty currently and Survivor queues are instant (at least on PC, basically always, I think like 3-5 minutes is the absolute worst I've seen, vs 20+ minutes for Killer). There is no social penalty either, and they're incentivized to move on. I recommend Richard Dawkins The Selfish Gene. The parts about game theory show how this works.

Survivors both with/against: Claudette, Meg, Feng, Kate, Nea, and Dwight/David/Jake are definitely most common.
Killers: Hard to say, I see a fair variety, from Clown to Demogorgon to Nurse ... I think Nurse is probably rarest, Hag is probably 2nd rarest.
I'm tempted to say Huntress most, but I hate going against her more than anything else, so that's likely wrong.
Trapper Pig Freddy Doctor Deathslinger Billy Spirit Huntress Myers Ghostface Pyramid Head Plague Oni are probably the most common, in no particular order. I mean, that's over half the killers right there.
Nurse Hag Demo Clown Legion Leatherface Wraith are probably the least, with Wraith/Legion being borderline.

I started playing DBD at the start of the year in January. I held off buying the game for a relatively long time as I did not like this game's monetization being an upfront price, tons of DLC, and an in-game cosmetic shop. I finally decided to buy it and started playing killer and survivor relatively equally. I want to put my experience out here because I believe the developers need to see this.
I'll start with survivor:
It was a weird experience. Most of playing survivor does not feel very intuitive, beyond avoiding the killer. Holding a button on a gen, looping a killer, utilizing pallets, understanding what bones do, what lockers are and how to use them, what perks you are being affected by, and interacting with certain objects give the survivor little to no feedback and there is no guide inside the game to explain how to perform certain actions. There is no tutorial, no training tools. The only way newer players can really understand what is happening is if they already know how the game works via some of the streamers and content creators that play this game. This issue is why a bunch of newer players hide and try to stealth rather than loop as looping itself is not explained in the game at all. The same goes for doing totems, playing around perks, opening exit gates, etc. Players either do not know they exist or how to play around them.
Luckily for me, I did have prior knowledge of the game and how to properly play it so it wasn't as much of an issue as it could have been, but if I didn't have those creators to draw from, I would have dropped the game almost instantly. Playing survivor was still relatively simple, even if I didn't understand or notice what was going on. Pressing a button down on gens and simply avoiding the killer worked in rank 20 games and kept working until I honestly got bored of playing survivor around rank 6-5 after a few weeks.I would play survivor intermittently throughout the following months but only a few games mainly to complete some rift quests. I was awful at looping and didn't want to spend time trying to get better, I felt like the few times I actually did focus on trying I would get affected by dedicated servers, glitch to the other side of a pallet, or have something like haunted grounds pop when I was going to tank a hit. It made attempting to practice feel awful and as I didn't have any friends who owned the game, doing SWF or KYF wasn't possible.
Now for killer:
Killer is slightly more intuitive than survivors which made playing it easier for me, but a bunch of base knowledge still felt required. How to loop is never explained or demonstrated to killers either so new players are basically left out to dry. I played a bunch of pre-change Cannibal, Plague, Trapper, and Spirit. I did play other killers as well, but not enough to feel like I should mention them here. Killer felt really stressful in a majority of games. It felt as if I couldn't relax and have fun because otherwise the game would just be over. My prior knowledge of DBD really helped me out as I started leaving rank 17 behind. I started hitting a bunch of purple and red rank survivors after that and this was definitely one of the factors that led to the games feeling so stressful. It felt like I couldn't try new killers since I would automatically lose to good survivors, if I deranked and wanted to play Cannibal again or Spirit, the game would be fun but most opponents at those ranks would disconnect or kill themselves on first hook, leading to boring experience. I ended up getting to a similar rank in killer as my survivor but ended up taking a break from DBD as I didn't enjoy survivor much and killer was overly stressful to play.
Overall issues with the game:
I'll say this right now, matchmaking in DBD is the worst I have experienced in any game (Games I compare it to: LoL, Dota2, TFT, Valorant, Overwatch, HotS, Dirty Bomb, CSGO, and many more). This is before and after the recent MMR changes and is one of the big reasons I feel like I won't pick the game up again any time soon. I would constantly face survivors and killers way above or below my skill level. It made playing feel awful as I got killers or survivors who punished me trying new things extremely heavily or ones that weren't even a minor challenge to play against. This doesn't even take into account SWF groups or any other out of game advantage.
Bugs - I have experienced so many bugs from the killer being stuck in map terrain to survivors being unable to be hit. Some of these may have been hacks but either way the game needs to address the lack of polish DBD is after 4 years of being released. Maybe they should do that than release another licensed killer.
Visuals/Sounds - The game varies in visual fidelity from alright to awful. Animations are consistently broken, along with sounds. Again, this game really needs to be polished more.
Lack of game modes - No training mode, no map seed selector. DBD has no interesting new modes or ways to play, it simply has only one game mode, this would ordinarily be fine, but with the amount of existing issues, not having other game modes feels like the developers' main focus is not on DBD.
Leveling up - The blood web is an awful way to level up. Instead of interesting new perks or add-ons to play differently we see a large amount of items that do nothing. Mist offerings and luck offerings all feel awful to see and even BP offerings are annoying as its just (here is a way to spend BP to hopefully get more BP). The leveling system in itself isn't enjoyable as it hurts new players badly. I hate playing new characters now, not because they themselves couldn't be fun, but being stuck with one perk and no add-ons or items is not enjoyable to play and it takes way too long to level a character up while trying to get a collection of add-ons you actually want to use. Not to mention prestige takes all your items and perks away meaning if you want additional cosmetics you need to suffer through playing that way again.
Killers - I'll be honest, I hate seeing more licensed killers. Why can't we actually have more killers designed from the ground up to be inside DBD, same with the maps and survivors. It isn't fun to play those maps, and isn't much fun to play against/with most those killers, Myers is the only one I really enjoyed as his mechanics work properly. Ghostface on the other hand has so many bugs and issues it sucks to play against him.
Currently, the game won't even let me play killer, I have queued for 30 minutes 3 separate times and on 3 different days and found no matches, but I can find one within a few minutes as survivor.
I don't want to tell others how to enjoy the game, or that they should fix what I typed about above, but I want other people to know and hopefully understand my experience as a new play and ideally bring me back into the game somehow.
Shoutout to Otz, ScottJund, OhTofu, Noob3, and Ayrun who made my time playing the game way more fun than it had any right to be.
I've been playing since the end of June all through the anniversary event, every day. I agree with most of your points, and mentioned several of them in the player survey they sent out like a month ago. There is an in game tutorial, but I didn't even notice and learned from YT and reading wikis etc I was facing red ranks (before current MM, and still after it, just even sweatier) from about rank 18 on as Killer, Survivor MM only recently took that nosedive, there are often SWFs, on both sides, which sucks as both solo queue and killer.
BHVR's attitude sucks, especially from senior management, they act like it's a casual game you should be playing like once a week for 20 minutes as if you could do anything at all that way, and if you aren't, well you should just play something else. Don't forget to stop by the gift shop and buy a $15 locked cosmetic set or a $10 recolor!!
The game literally has tournament teams despite the fact it's a million light years from any kind of esports balance. Optimization is extremely poor, Scott Jund did a great video about how they likely used Blueprints from UE4 as the main basis for everything, which after a little research, seems highly likely. Cheats and bugs are rampant. I would be fine with any kind of MM that didn't require amusement park ride wait times. All this at B2P, AAA pricing with F2P money scumming tacked on.
The game can be fun, the idea is great, I think the art team is a bit better than you give them credit for, but the rest is frequently extremely frustrating to deal with. I don't blame you at all for walking away.

I just picked up the game myself last week. Yeah, I do not like the DLC model either. Cosmetic shop is fine, but only because I don't care about stuff like that. If I did though, I could see being a bit annoyed.
If I want to buy the game today, I'd have to pay about $20 for the base game - if I want to unlock the rest of the killers/survivors, I'll need to pay another $50 or so. I'm sorry, but no - $70 to access all the content for a 4 year old game of middling popularity...? Never gonna happen.
It was $85 for all the DLC (except one $5 neon cosmetic set I didn't want) and the base game during anniversary sale, which is better than any other sale they've had since.

Had my traps avoided to many times by p3 Claudette when they were in random high grass. Can be sure they avoided trap and not high grass, as they walked around it using different high grass.
Also, they easily get caught by trapped pallets, so I doubt cheating.
Of course, no small game.Just watched something very similar happen on temple map. As Hag watched a Feng Min avoid literally every trap in their path the entire match. None of them were out in the open. No tracking perks at all.

A test once concluded the chance increases are up to a max of 2%.
Of course, they may be higher, they may be lower, and it was just the one person.
But considering what people in general experience with their chances on the Bloodwebs, 2% doesn't sound too far off.
It's really not worth it at the moment unless you want that bloody stuff.
But hey, if they suddenly increase the chances of give other benefits to Prestige, if you do it now, you'll already have it by the time they add that.
I just found this https://www.reddit.com/r/deadbydaylight/comments/at25tj/does_prestige_matter_bloodweb_comparison_over_500/
which makes it look even worse.
