If a ban is showing on a Steam profile then that is a permanent ban - temporary bans do not show on profiles.
The only way to get information on a ban is by contacting Support, this must be done by the person who received the ban, no third parties.

@ItzSoulz are you reading the German translation by any chance? If so I believe it is translated wrongly. I believe it should be, search 3 chests in one match using Plunderers...

If this happens in any of your games, please make a report - we can see who has done what then and yes it's an exploit that is bannable.

I don't camp or tunnel and I would give them a few minutes to reset basically, especially if someone DC'd and that caused another player to be caught out of position. Then I play as normal.

They will get back to you about this as soon as they are able, with the update coming out there may be some delay so please do not panic if you've not heard back for a few days.

Not sure of your locations, but to give an idea - my stuff took around 4/5 weeks to get shipped, then roughly 7 days for delivery to the UK.

Thanks for the thanks! Tomorrow can't come soon enough for all of us I think, it's been an exceptionally busy and stressful few days so I think everyone will be glad when it's out and we can just play the game - I'm looking forward to the Archives so much!

No, survivors all have the same hitbox sizes, otherwise nobody would play a male character if this was the case because it would be an advantage to have a smaller hitbox.

You still cannot report someone for having bad internet - as you are on PS4 it's right now P2P, so it's the connection between you and the killer that's bad, not a specific individual thing. Please read up on the game rules about what it and isn't reportable, thank you.

no you don't report someone for having bad internet.
And right now if you are playing on PC, Dedicated Servers are live so it's your connection to the server that could be the problem.

Yes people are banned for chat offences, depending on the nature of the comments these could be temporary bans leading up to permanent ones.

I must admit I rarely see Sabo now, I am a big advocate of Sabo, plus it's another objective of sorts for survivors to do which pulls them off focusing gens.

As someone who commonly cleanses all the totems in a match (sorry @Almo you'd hate me) and who regularly runs Inner Strength, I don't want to encourage other survivors to steal my totems :)

If you're spamming a mori at someone with the intention to grief them then it's bannable - we'd need video evidence.
Quite simply, just don't mori spam and you won't have any issue.

People do get banned for DC'ing - once they reach the threshold for DC'ing, they receive a ban.

Deliverance is helpful in this situation...I use it when playing Solo, I've usually made a couple of safe rescues before I'm hooked and I don't like having to rely on team mates to unhook me.

I'm locking this because it's totally derailed from the original intent of the first post.
I will also advise everyone that we do still currently ban for DC'ing over the threshold - and the information that someone gave that we don't in this thread is untrue. We also will not accept the promotion of DCing on our forums, we don't promote it in game and we are not doing it here either.

Yeah it's unfortunate that the event had to be postponed, but sadly these things happen. And whilst we try to minimise stuff like this happening - unfortunately this time it has. I personally rather the event get postponed for a short time and have a fun event at the end of it rather than the alternative.
Hopefully we will have more information soon that we can communicate so that the picture is clearer for everyone.

I got reported because a HillBilly kept missing me with his chainsaw, he didn't think anyone could dodge a saw and as I kept dodging it - he reported me for cheating, thought I had "god mode on". 😏

I actually love BBQ on all my killers, the extra BP is definitely a bonus and the information it gives me during a match is perfect. It's outplayable by lockers or walking a way after a few seconds as a survivor so I feel that it's a very balanced perk and really doesn't need any changes right now.

If a date was communicated and then something went wrong and for whatever reason it would have to be put back again - could you imagine the outcry then? Right now it's bad enough.

This is definitely not something that I can see ever being bannable, when I play killer it's not something that bothers me either. If it's by the exit gate then I just try to get an extra hit on people - all extra points are welcome...sometimes you are able to coax them out far enough to even get a down on them - especially when they don't realise you have quite a few stacks of STBFL built up 😏

IF there was such a block feature implemented, I think it's fair to say it would get abused - by either side, a lot of "this person beat me so I'm blocking" would happen.
Communication abuse is a different thing, it's never a good idea to message someone something salty...and those things are punishable. On consoles its the responsibility of Microsoft & Sony to police these things, on PC we have our own Support team to handle it.

Now the info is that the event won't take place tomorrow, it will be with the mid patch (which I repeat was supposedly going to take place tomorrow). So what we should assume is that tomorrow the mid patch won't take place. It's not very hard to say: "The event and the patch won't take place tomorrow. Both are delayed, we will give you more info on the next hours" or something like that. It would help us not be as disappointed as we are.

I wish for more clarity on this kind of issues. Again we understand you can encounter issues that need to be fixed, and in order to do that you need some time, but please be clear with the information that you give us. Thank you anyway for the updates.

We have not confirmed the date of the Mid Chapter Patch - the only date we ever gave was for the event. Unless we actually confirm things on this forum or our official Twitter account it's best not to rely on what other people speculate.

I've pretty much always loved horror movies since I was a kid - the original Poltergeist movie was probably my favourite at the time.

My favourite to play is Wraith, I've loved Bob since I started playing the game in 2016. I also like playing Trapper a fair bit, I get a lot of satisfaction when someone steps in my traps! Freddy is also another favourite of mine.

For me it was my son. I'm a single parent and he was a teenager, it was something that we could play together and have an interest with together...so it was an opportunity to hold a connection with a growing teenager who thought his mother was lame!
It's been an amazing experience I have to say, and I have absolutely no regrets.

A very noob thing I did when the Halloween DLC was released was play with Object of Obsession when I had absolutely no clue that the killer could also see my aura - I played with my friend and I was teabagging him whilst looking at the killer 🙄 - yeah I got face camped that game!
I did apologise in the after game chat though after my friend pointed out why.
Lesson learnt - read all patch notes and perk information before playing!
