  • More or less permanent, uncounterable zero terror radius with 115% speed is way too strong

I like your build, Ive been wanting to get more use out of Mad Grit lately.

I use Ruin, Brutual Strength, Pop Goes the Weasel & Discordance on my pig. Discordance is great for sneak attacks w/ her cause you’re bound to hit at least one of them on the gen.

On a different note, not sure if you’ve noticed but the hair on the default pig head is shaped to go over the hood of the default outfit so it looks like the pig has a hunchback if you pair it w/ any of the dlc clothes. This has been bugging me..

Mad Grit is super trash though

Whether or not you get any use out of it is completely out of your control

Out of the last, I want to say 100 games or so, Mad Grit would never have helped me

And once survivors can tell you have it they can just not bodyblock anymore. Due to the nature of the perk there will always be at least 2 survivors who know you have it or suspect it at least

It's super trash and almost literally every other perk is better

I've been really looking forward to a summer event. It I beleived that bugs will be fixed I might be happy. But I don't.

All the assets are there from last year. Give me a couple of free cosmetics and I'm satisfied.

For people who might have missed it: the summer event was cancelled to push out the battle pass instead

  • And being able to see how weapons look when playing

The Wraith Grim Tidings sickle clipped into his hand during the animation for example. The new wooden knife for the Clown Pucinella outfit clips into his hand always, I haven't checked it for the midchapter patch yet however

These issues are extremely easy to notice and that no one bothers to fix them before release where people then spend real money on them speaks volumes about the devs priorities

Bonus: The Pucinella outfit clips with itself (mask into collar) when the Clown turns his head in the lobby

  • I used to think that Starbreeze is the reason unfinished, broken content is expunged into the game

    Oh how wrong that was

People are upset they can't use the stab, stab, stab, stab, down playstyle anymore.

    This

Legion is fine, people are just upset because their degenerate playstyle is no longer possible due to being extremely unfun and unhealthy for the game

  • Some people will cry literally always because their precious fee-fees were hurt by losing

Survivors complained about my add-ons, so I didn't use any

Survivors then complained about my perks, so I didn't use any

Survivors then complained about the killer I picked, so I picked (pre-rework) Freddy

Survivors then complained about tunneling and camping, so every time I hooked someone I ran to the opposite side of the map and never hooked the same survivor twice in a row

Then I killed only 3 instead of 4 people: "GG EZ BABY KILLER UNINSTALL TRASH"

  • Spawns 1/2/3/4 Moonlight Hooks / Moonlight Generators

Hooking a survivor on the hook grants X bloodpoints, completing a generator grants X bloodpoints

The infrastructure for special hooks / generators already exists because of events that utilize it. The effect must be symmetric because both sides were able to collect the offerings before they got retired. Event objectives change up gameplay in a very mild and inoffensive manner while still being more interesting than regular +bloodpoint offerings. Event offerings would override the Moonlight objectives to prevent people from griefing events

Matchmaking is still buggy. They already admitted for example that there's edge cases of people waiting a lot longer than normal, as just an example.

Matchmaking is still putting people of way off ranks into games with each other. Amplified even more with people with already long wait times.

Sometimes lobbies will be outright bugged, the 4th position being broken, and unable to be filled, increasing queue times even more, as you wait for a lobby that will never fill, inevitably have to restart the lobby, and then wait in queue once again from the back of the line.

Matchmaking is still putting people of way off ranks into games with each other. Amplified even more with people with already long wait times.

That's intentional for SWF groups. For non-full groups (2 or 3 SWF players) it's not confirmed what happens exactly for matchmaking but most likely it just slaps players from any rank into the lobby to make it fill faster

when in 3 days i got only premade team survivor opponent with red rank/purple players and 1 low rank mean its a very popular method for cheat,or are you trying to say its normal for tier 1-2-3-4 players have always ONE rank 17-18-19-20 in group?.

I mean the developers have intentionally made the system this way

They want it to be like this, most likely so the lowrank survivors in SWF groups don't get destroyed: "Hey let's play Ddb" - some rank 18, "Okay, invite me" - some rank 1

There is nothing unintentional about this. Using it is as much an exploit as attacking as a killer or sprinting as a survivor

  • @Raven87 said:

In video games, an exploit is the use of a bug or glitches, game system, rates, hit boxes, speed or level design etc. by a player to their advantage in a manner not intended by the game's designers.(by wiki)

by allowing a low rank person to create room and then invite high rank players you are exploting the game system for get an ingame advantage..so yes playing using this method are using exploit

Except it's intentional so it's not an exploit

  • The devs are afraid of releasing meaningful data that you can draw proper conclusions from so one knows for sure

Considering the track record regarding asinine bugs in the game personally I think it's entirely possible that something in the matchmaking broke

  • 3) Can almost certainly never work. You need to take into account that the killer needs to reach you which takes some time, and you can just run away into the opposite direction from the killer as soon as a gen pops. The duration would have to be longer but then the perk becomes super garbage. It also still causes problems for stealth killers and SWF can still abuse it hardcore

    2) Has a similar problem, stealth killers still can't do anything about it and SWF can still abuse it

    1) Is probably fine but also not particularly interesting. You are kind of giving the killer an additional perk that reveals you, would probably not be run anymore by anyone

Even better, from the teasers we've seen already, it's a CLAUDETTE themed battle pass, because we didn't have enough garbage for the champion of bad players already.

At least we will get a very fun and exciting summer event before the battle pass releases. That makes up for it right

    Oh

It's funny cause it's the truth

Let's also buff the trollest perk in the game (Head On) surely survivor lobbies will flood with people right

Not that I didn't like Head On being fixed but come on, that's not enough to make people play survivor over literally reworking a killer from the ground up and making a brand new kit for him

Hey Calm Spirit got buffed too, the Freddy snares don't make you scream if you run it. Maybe works for the pallets too. Obviously this is now the toppest of top perks in the game

Clearly those are more than enough survivor changes. Unfortunately implementing those took too much effort so the summer event is cancelled, but don't worry, the battle pass will come out on time of course and include EVEN MORE super bright cosmetics that no one will ever use

  • What you describe is one of the reasons the current disconnect ban system is utter garbage and why even an update to the system will still be trash

The situation you describe should clearly fall in the exploit category and be an immediate ban, but it will be handled as a ragequit, so your report may or not be discarded (the "Unsportsmanlike" report category lists it as a valid report but supposedly you are not supposed to use it for that) and then nothing happens

In addition the current rank system is worthless. You gain nothing from ranking up except longer wait times to actually play, so disconnecting to give another survivor the hatch is actually beneficial for you because you derank and don't have to wait as long before you can get into a game

I don't get how Trapper is really screwed over with object of obsession.

Stealth Killers normally have them ability to go undetected destroyed.

Which for the most part ruins the main point of crouching, nightshroud, cloaking

You can see where he is setting up traps. That way you will never be caught in traps: Either disarm them or don't go near where he is. More or less completely disables his power against you

Well (new) ds isn’t broken so I see no problem. The current version of ooo, however, is definitely broken and unfair to all killers - not just stealth. Trapper and Wraith suffer immensely from it. It needs to be changed so it’s fair for both sides.

A pre hook ds that requires sitting in a locker like head on AND leaves you exposed until you’re actually hooked seems more than fair and in line with the Halloween chapter.

This locker thing would work well for OoO: Current effect, but it only work while inside a locker

That would allow for cool moments against stealth killers where you go in a locker to check where the killer is, only to realize the killer is directly next to you

  • Those stats lack the number of data points (number of games), among other things, and can not be taken seriously because of that

The ideal solution would be if there was a public API that can be queried for game data, without identifying information

  • Your wish is granted, have some more extremely bright cosmetics that no one will use because P3 Claudette is darker

That is what you wanted right

    Right

But dh now doesn't dash at all sometimes, that a bit too much of a nerf haha

By changes I didn't mean only nerfs and buffs but also mechanical changes. Maybe they wanted to rewrite the Dead Hard code to be more efficient or something along those lines but ######### up horribly and now it sometimes doesn't work. It could also be because of changes to general movement code. Code changes in general sometimes like to break things you would never expect to be broken from your changes

It's just a very suboptimal build. That's all I'm saying. Endgame Freddy is a handicap build.

Endgame Freddy anything is a handicap build.

    Fixed that for you

How well your endgame build performs is largely out of your control. If the gates spawn super far apart (for example Azarov's Resting Place, one gate on each half of the map) then your build immediately becomes so much worse

Remember Me doesn't help you reliably find the obsession, you either get lucky and find the obsession fast or you have to waste time looking for them while everyone is repairing or you don't get many stacks which makes your perk worthless

Bloodwarden can be countered easily by just running out the gates. There is nothing you can do to stop survivors from just doing that

NOED out of all perks has the most counters in the game

Instead of trying to get kills lategame with awful perks you can just run good perks and get kills over the entirety of the game

Although, I need to say that I hadn't noticed the dh bug during the ptb.

No clue. Plenty of bugs have occured to perks and addons after a patch that werent suppose to have anything to do with it. The Wake up bug comes to mind atm.

Probably internal tests to try out possibly changes to those perks, but the changes were not rolled back (properly) in time for the release of the next patch

I called it when I'm All Ears got buffed it'll be insanly strong on Nurse way back then.

I'm just surprised it took people this long.

Most people probably don't have all perks on Nurse so they can't reliably get it unlocked on her, as opposed to people who had all perks on her when Ghost Face came out so they just had to unlock the teachables and level her at most 6 times to get the perk on her fully levelled

  • Should consider Bloodhound or Shadowborn as an alternative to Bitter Murmur, Bloodhound is much better on maps with corn fields and Shadowborn is just good in general on Nurse

But yes I'm All Ears is very good on Nurse. It's weird that this perk was even made considering that Nurse is obviously strong and the perk is not all that great on anyone but her

You're missing the point of this post, I'm asking if people have tried this build with Freddy, not if this build works with every other killer.

Considering that there are 60 killer perks right now (according to the wiki, I don't know if that number is correct but it seems okay) and you can run 4 perks, there are 60 choose 4 possible loadouts. That's 487635 possibilities. When you further take into account that two of the perks you are running are garbage and have no synergy with the killer you are running them on it becomes very unlikely that people have used this exact same perk loadout as you

    @Spaceman94 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/601523#Comment_601523

That is entirely your opinion and I disagree with it completely. For me, this build is brilliant and has not let me down yet. Shows how much you know lol.

I have successfully run no add-ons and no perks on pre-rework Freddy at rank 1. That does not mean that this build was good. You would have greater success with actually good perks

  • @LordGlint said:

Alot of times, perks and such that get broken, are either very underused, or are broken in a weird way. Wake up for example isnt a perk alot of ppl are going to bother using on a PTB that has nothing to do with Wake up. The tinkerer 2 thing ONLY occured on the 2nd rank of tinkerer, meaning ppl who already had tinkerer 3 or who dont use perks until they have the 3rd rank of them are very unlikely to ever notice. Alot of testing in the PTB also takes place in KYF mode, which provides only the rank 3 versions of perks.

Which is why automated testing exists and there is a very high chance the devs are already using it. Either they are not (properly) using it or they are rushing content out the door because they have no pride in the quality of their own work (or their standards are just incredibly low) or because they want $$$

  • @ClogWench said:

Frankly as long as killers have Moris I'm not going to be too upset about survivors having keys.

Moris at least have a mildly interesting animation

You also can't luck out and get a mori during the match

Moris are also signifcantly more obvious than keys, due to their size it's hard to see them in the lobby

Moris you can play around, just play more stealthily. The only counterplay to keys is to tunnel and this will get you death threats in the postgame chat and on your profile if you are dumb enough to have comments set to public (or on your friends comment pages if you have your friend list public. Yes that is a thing that has happened). This does not stop other survivors from taking the key however

Lastly just because one side has unfun garbage this does not validate other unfun garbage on the other side

  • Surveillance is the only good perk in your build. NOED is meh. Blood Warden and Remember Me are bad. Freddy has no endgame synergy from his power, there isn't really a reason to run three endgame perks

  • @Spectro said:

OoO is completely fine. Except for the stealth killers. They need to have a minimum distance requirement instead of the current terror radius requirement.

This would help a lot against killers like ghostface, pig and wraith.

No, OoO is horribly designed and will never work in this game

The correct counterplay to it is to tunnel and/or camp anyone who is running it. However if you do this you will get flooded with death threats so killers are discouraged from playing around it. In theory you can just ignore the survivor that has it, but there is always the risk that that survivor is in SWF and by not killing them fast you more or less permanently reveal your position to all survivors

  • The PTB is largely (but not exclusively) a publicity thing to boost sales

See: Second Ghost Face PTB, which was extended to the weekend because the first PTB release was very broken. The DLC released on the Tuesday after. While it is possible that the devs actually worked the weekend and took the feedback from this extended PTB into account it seems very unlikely

Additionally you can't exactly force people try every perk to discover that they are broken (this is refering to your Dead Hard example), see also the bug where Tinkerer 2 permanently removed the terror radius

The QA seems competent but they are not given enough time, or there is not enough time alloted for the bugs to be fixed before releases. The higher-ups appear to only care about $$$ so they rush content, again, see Ghost Face PTB

When the company was still owned by Starbreeze there was someone to blame for the rushed releases, but now it seems more like Starbreeze was not the (only) problem

  • Go down = going to the dying state, the state where you crawl

I never said you should not go for unhooks, I said you should make sure it's safe

If you rush the hook without making sure the killer is not near then you are one of those awful teammates that other survivors complain about. The reason Insidious even works is because of players like that, Insidious campers would get one or two kills at most per game and very few bloodpoints if people played smart

And yes letting your teammates die is the ideal play in certain situations, for example against a camping Leatherface

  • Leatherface can camp even without Insidious

If you go down near the basement vs him you are bad and deserve to die, he is the strongest killer for the basement

If you go for unhooks without making sure it's safe to do so you are bad

The only issue with Insidious is that it's very weak against any survivors who are even halfway competent

  • @LordGlint said:

Currently, there is no servers. Your connecting to the person playing killer. If you notice the ping is high while in the lobby, try leaving and joining another.

    This

And before it gets brought up: Dedicated servers will NOT fix that if there are no nearby servers. Which is entirely possible for regions with low playercounts. OP seems to be in the middle east which might have a low playercount and thus they get matched up with players further away

  • @Chocolate_Cosmos said:

Well If I want to rly slow down the game, I would play:

    • Hex: Ruin
    • Corrupt Intervention (camp opened gens for whole duration)
    • Pop Goes The Weasel
    • And maybe some other slow down perks (Overcharge, Discordance, etc.)

Corrupt Intervention is bad. Survivors can just wait it out and because the only detection perk that reliably works in that situation (Whispers) is trash there is nothing you can do. Yes this is very boring for everyone involved but it is the counter to the perk if you are playing to win

Pop Goes The Weasel is meh

Overcharge on its own is bad, you should combo it with Surveillance. Though at that point you can also run JUST Surveillance and use the perk slot you save by not running Overcharge for something else

  • Other than that is a more specific issue: there have always been complaints about the Nurse, but why have they only recently become fixated on her addons?

The developers at least have said that they want to go through her add-ons ages ago (over a year ago) I

Why was no one complaining about them in 2017? Why has it only become a thing since then?

Survivors were busy disconnecting as soon as they heard the blink noise so they never paid attention to the add-ons

Her add-ons are dumb though, even if people haven't always been complaining about them. It's very much possible to stomp survivors without any add-ons whatsoever, based on experience, I can only imagine how dumb it would be if I ran multi-blink add-ons

  • @palotheas said:

Something I'll add on the addons downside thing, hag used to have downsides to her addons until they reworked her addons. She seems close enough in power to nurse that I think the changes will be similar.

Worst offender: Plaid Flannel (shows where you will blink), the entire add-on is a massive downside. The giant marker it creates makes it hard to see what is even going on on your screen, by far the worst add-on in the entire game. And it's purple rarity for some reason, even if it was actually useful then inexperienced players who want to use it can't reliably equip it due to it showing up not very often because of the rarity

  • and we would never censor someone for their opinion unless they were being rude or insulting in their post.

    [ x ] Doubt

  • @LordGlint said:

This is pretty much the difference, the killers wont be hosting the games. Instead, the games will be hosted on whichever server is closest to you. This comes with plenty of upsides, but also possible downsides. While you no longer have to worry about someone hosting your game who is using what feels like dial-up for internet or a microwave for a computer, the nearest server to you might be far away. During the initial testings of the dedicated servers, things got laggy for both killers AND survivors...but hopefully itll be well polished by the time the servers are officially online. The devs said that they expected the servers to have lag and such during those tests, and it was mostly to test if they worked on a basic lvl.

    Basically this

I just want to emphasize that dedicated servers will NOT fix lag if your internet is garbage. Way too many people think that dedicated servers = no lag ever. A few of those people also claim that literally every killer is lagswitching because they lag in every game. If you are one of those people then YOUR internet is the problem and you will still lag horribly even with dedicated servers

  • Unironically defending old legion

Example: Someone joins a lobby, starts throwing racial slurs around, leaves the lobby. There is no report button in the lobby and they would not show up in the tally after the game

  • No

Survivors are meant to be just skins and not have gameplay advantages

  • @SaveUsY2K said:

Its a 1000% crutch perk and the fact you can play the whole match without getting touched only to get obliterated by NOED is a joke. The killer has to do nothing but suck to get instadowns at the end is crap. I play killer about 75% of the time at this point and onlybrun NOED when I'm running chill games where I'm trying to get everyone points and show people where my totem is at the end. You're being rewarded for being bad and it needs a rework.

The only joke here is you

If you have no interaction with the killer the entire game that means you have more than enough time to do totems. But you didn't. Because you are bad and you absolutely deserved to lose in that game. The only problem with NOED is that players like you who ignore totems and then cry on the forums have a chance to survive instead of being just straight up mori'd

  • @kimukipi said:

@Emhyr I feel the same too. If its really meant to be an anti tunnel perk, it should be deactivated the moment killer hooks some one else. Also, 60 seconds is too big for an average dbd match.

    This

    It happens WAY too often

I down a survivor, hook the survivor, go look for another survivor, find a survivor who has DS active (previously unhooked and has been healed in the meantime), down THAT survivor and get stunned

A similar situation can happen near the end: You hook a survivor on a hook near the gate, that survivor gets unhooked, you down the unhooker and hook them, first unhooked survivor comes back and unhooks the second survivor (safely possible with Borrowed Time, Adrenaline, instaheals). Now both survivors might have DS active, if you down one of them they have time to crawl out the gate and if you pick them up they can DS and also escape. This is an extremely dumb situation where as a killer you are getting punished for NOT tunnelling during the early / midgame: If you had then you could have gotten rid of the DS and avoided this situation altogether

The second situation is much more specific and rarer than the first one but it is one that should never happen. The first one is very common if you are competent, especially at rank reset.

Survivors make awful plays such as unhooking when the killer is still near the hook -> cry about tunnelling -> get dumb perk that screws over killers that don't camp or tunnel because of awful design

The killer version of current DS would look something like this: "You automatically attack any survivor in your attack range. After being in a chase with one Survivor for 90 seconds, your attacks instantly put that Survivor in the Dying state and you can kill them."

    • Killer makes bad play, staying in a chase with the same survivor for too long (survivor equivalent: going for idiotic unhooks)
    • gets punished for playing badly by gens popping (survivor equivalent: teammate gets hooked again)
    • gets perk that is unfair to the other side because of crap plays another player is making but that can be avoided in very unfun way: just let the killer down you before the 90 seconds are up by running into them (DS equivalent: waiting out the 60s timer on your phone or whatever whenever a survivor is unhooked)

DS is dumb and the counterplay (waiting exactly 60 seconds from the time a survivor is unhooked to the time you hook them) is super unfun, especially if you are going after multiple survivors
