I hope it wasn't me lol, someone pointed out to me recently that there's someone with a similar name to mine on Steam who plays dbd but isn't a nice person. My steam name is completely different to my forum name.
Nope. It was a long time ago now and it was before crossplay (Some time in 2019 I'm guessing?) I play on console so that makes it even more unlikely that I'd run into someone with your name. For a bit more context the person DMed me after the match complaining about scratched mirror Myers, so unless that sounds like it'd be you I'd wouldn't worry about it lol.

Even though I personally try to avoid tunneling as killer, I still fully respect it as a valid tactic when I'm playing survivor and see other killers doing it and I have zero problem with being tunneled myself. I will probably get pissed at my team if I'm being tunneled and they aren't doing gens though. I just don't do it because in most cases its not the best play to make and for another survivors hate it anyways so why even bother?
-
I think I'd go with picture number 2.
-
My god I feel so bad for you. I don't know about you, but at 3 times in a row I would've said ######### it and burned a map offering at that point.
-
I don't know. Honestly I think she's one of the most underrated killers in the game. Sure her bear traps are rng based on how much time they delay, but it's still more slowdown than most other killers get in their kits. Her crouch can be decent if you know when to use it at the right times. Obviously you shouldn't be crouching around the whole damn map all the time. Her dash isn't the best anti-loop as it doesn't counter anything more than small loops, but it's still more anti-loop than other killers. It's also useful for conserving stbfl stacks.
I'm not saying I think she's top tier, but she's definitely not D tier like most think she is. I think she's somewhere in like high C low B tier.

Little somethin I made myself.

I hit ready when I'm ready.

huntress, trickster, slinger, plague, demo, arguably billy/blight/oni, and pyramid head in some regards.
all of these killers might be more accessible for people at first because you can chase normally on a lot of them and do decently well, but i'd argue they require more game sense than nurse and in some ways their mechanical depth is higher. you have to worry about how to play tiles depending on the capabilities of your power, as well as determine how best to apply pressure in a match depending on the skill level of the other players.
with nurse, you don't have any of that. you blink close to them & you hit them. if you don't get them with the first set of blinks & you were smart enough not to swing when you knew you were going to miss, you'll have an even easier time getting them in the next set. there's no going for fancy shots through gaps or across the map, there's no faking people out or zoning them with your power, there's no caring about bump logic or curving. there is only blinking & predicting your opponent as you would on any other killer.
in fact, i'm already starting to find her boring again. she is extremely simple.
E: like the only problem with nurse that can make her 100% harder than other killers is when you get a map like Lery's or Rotten Fields. The amount of predicting you have to do with little to no information on the survivor you're after is nuts, and unless you have insane reaction times and have mastered the bad response curve you're probably going to have a bad time.
I'm assuming you also play on console? You must be a really good Nurse then.
Honestly I've always considered huntress harder to learn on console than Nurse for me personally. Aiming and leading your shots with control sticks is not easy stuff. I still can't play her although I've never tried much to learn her. For her and Slinger I can understand. For blight I feel I've actually been having a pretty easy time with him ever since he was fixed on console. The turn rate feels super lenient now and if it wasn't for the sliding I think he'd be doing even better. For plague I can't really see any argument for her being mechanically harder than nurse so I can only assume you're talking about game sense. I will say I barley play her, but from what I understand is you get people infected and the most you have to do, in terms of game sense, is decide when the best time to use corrupt purge is. I could be wrong though cause as I said I don't play her. For Billy I can understand. I've seen some amazing flick Billys and it's really hard to try and replicate that stuff. It requires precise timing and extensive map and tile knowledge AND predictability on what survivors will do on those tiles in order to effectively make the best use out of your chainsaw with curves. There's definitely an argument there. For the rest I can't really see it. They don't seem difficult to me at all enough to provide an argument.
I am glad we can agree that maps with tons of LOS blockers do make Nurse extremely difficult though since she has no choice but to use her power to catch survivors.
At the end of the day though that's what it comes down to. Nurse has to use her power to catch survivors. If you don't know how to use it you're sol. Everyone else can fall back on chasing normally if the player doesn't know how to use their power. With Nurse you either have that muscle memory down or you lose and the better the survivors are, she just becomes that much harder to play. Unpredictable survivors will make you feel like you're playing on Lerys. The thing is that most survivors, for me at least, really aren't that good. A full team of good survivors are almost as rare as a god nurse. For that reason nurse doesn't really need to reach her skill cap (or even close to it) in order to compete with most teams.

out of the hard mechanical killers i honestly believe she's the simplest to learn on console. not many survivors are unpredictable enough to be that much of a threat once you get your blink timing/positioning down.
I respect your opinion, but may I ask which killers you consider the hard mechanical killers?
-
Eh well I guess you could say that ruin, undying, tinkerer is seen as more of a universal killer build right now. People will just hear that it's whats meta and will just slap it on any killer without considering how the perks will synergize, or lack thereof, with their power.

Why do these streamers name "ttv.*"?
Are the ttv letters automatics?
I watch to the most famous dbd streamers and they haven't ttv in his names.
If ttv letters are not something automatic which is the porpose using them??
It's a form of self advertisment. To let the people in their games know that they're streaming in order to get more viewers.

Yep, I see them all the time.
Same here. I've always seen them, but it just feels like I've been seeing like triple the amount that I'm used to seeing. It does make sense though since it is summertime and school is out as mentioned above.

Lucky! They tend to be more chill than sweaty, plus you can hop in their chat and say boo 😂
Indeed. I also like to hop after the match and drop a gg. I don't think I've ever had one be straight up toxic or rude but I've had a couple say they didn't like how I did this or that. They are usually pretty chill though.

More people stream in the summer when they don't have school.
Ah. Makes sense.
-
It would just encourage lobby dodging and encourage chill swfs to play more serious because they'll know the killer will play more serious. It's just bad all around.
What should really happen is killers should be shown who was in a swf at the end of the match. There's literally no reason not to .
-
I think I played with one person on the forums because I'm pretty sure I recognize their name. It was not a positive experience though I will say and for that I won't name names.

Okay, thanks. That makes sense. I have managed to Mori a couple people before using the prompt when they're standing, but I figured it would just be easier to slug them first.
Myers really needs an upgrade. I don't think I'll ever stop playing him, but his addons are hard to work with. Judith's Tombstone might be sort of good if it didn't come with the speed reduction (and no realistic way to counter it).
I also haven't seem Judith's Memorial in like the last ten or twenty bloodwebs (I've been levelling up other charatcers, too). Has it been removed? That was really the only thing keeping JT usable.
I get plenty of every add-on tbh Judith memorial included. I just can never get any Lerys offerings to play scratched mirror Myers. Really sucks. He could use some buffs though. Would love to pipe some more survivors.
-
You have to walk up close to them and the "kill" prompt will pop up. Tap the button and bam. You kill them. Being moried off the ground occurs when the killer brings an ebony mori. For Myers add-ons you can only kill them when they're heathy or injured.
-
I would think so. You do get the 'Destruction' score event when spirit fury breaks a pallet so I don't see why not.

Wow, how do you have that many deaths in just 9 days of play time? Oc guy has 74 days and he's not that far off from you.
I wonder what mine looks like.
Probably because I main killer and they probably main survivor. They do have about 9x the amount of escapes.

I actually play on both xbox and ps. I have wayyyy more progress on my ps4 though. Wish sony would take a couple notes from microsoft.

Go to PlayStation wrap up if you're on PlayStation
I did and I remember I only had like a few hundred hours for 2020. Anyways I don't believe you can check it anymore. Other than hours I'd like to check other Dbd specific stats like the way steam tracks them. Stuff like blink attacks, hatchets thrown, total sacrifices, etc. Would be nice.
-
If it means I'd finally get to see my own stats on console then I'm all in.
-
I got Billy, Nurse, Blight in that order all 900. Close enough I suppose.
-
From the sound of it, it seems like you messaged them first. I agree with you and all this person sounds like an idiot, but DMing them to be passive aggressive sounds unnecessary to me. I understand you were upset you got screwed by a ######### map, but you should just move onto the next match next time.

Interesting, a bloody nurse. Her whole P3 look always intimidates me. Everytime.
I always thought her old one was scarier looking. Her updated default outfit looks great, but the p3 outfit for it doesn't give the same feeling as the old one. I still like to use it once in a while though.
-
Nurse was the first and only character I ever P3d. Mostly so I could get the related achievements. After that I never cared to do it for anyone else. Prestiging, imo, isn't worth it in this game.
-
Would love a plague doctor skin for Nurse. I know Doc already has one, but it doesn't mean she can't too :)
-
Does any killer have grab animations anymore? If I didn't know better I'd think the mechanic was removed altogether.
-
I uh...think you messed up posting the video.
You were trying to post a video right?
-
Maybe cause the survivors are slower than the killer? That's my guess.
-
Me and my cousin messing around in a custom match.
-
Ghostface is my second most played killer. Of the above perks I'd go with: Ruin, Sloppy Butcher, Whispers, and Thrilling Tremors personally if I wanted the best chance at winning.

It's like 500 but I get that some people aren't as fortunate when it comes to money.
Not when they're all out of stock and the only place to buy one is from scalpers on ebay. Screw those people. Seriously.

Considering MandyTalk said they'd look into getting some answers, yes.
For the old gen consoles? I thought that them giving the game free to people who owned the game before with new gen consoles was their idea of console optimization.

If you started from rank 5, then there must be bug. If I was a betting man, I suppose the achievement is probably coded to check if you get enough emblem requirements against your rank color ONLY after your new rank is calculated at the end of the trial. That would explain the issue, because you need 4 iri to get merciless in the red ranks and you got 3.
Short version: you double pipped as a purple rank, but the system probably sees you as a red rank.
Bingo that's exactly how it is.
-
I can tell you EXACTLY what happened as the same thing happened to me when I "got" my adept Trickster.
So basically you were one pip away from red ranks before the match begun. Red ranks require one more "point" than purple ranks in order to double pip and get merciless killer. When you pipped into red ranks after the match, the point threshold increased to that of red ranks. After that happens you receive your second pip. This means that even though you double pipped, you didn't get merciless killer because you didn't meet the merciless killer requirements (4 if emblems) at the end of the match.
Like I said happened to me when I tried getting adept Trickster. Pissed me off and I still don't have it yet and I won't be trying to get it either until next month because my rank never reset.
-
Kinda yeah. We even have people complaining about complaining. Imagine that.
End of the day though it's like Goodboykaru said. Complaining is necessary to get things done, but it should be done more constructively rather than "REEEEEEEE NERF THE STUFF I DON'T LIKE!!!!!!!1!!!!1!"

Just a lil tip you can hit enter after putting in a link to make the video watchable on the forum instead of having the link send you to youtube.
