Literally got it yesterday playing a match for another forum post.
0:35 - 0:50
https://youtu.be/mAi2Wqj6fDYGotta say it's been a while since the last time I had it though. It's pretty rare thankfully as this was the third time I ever got it. Lunge bug pisses me off way more and is a lot more frequent.

https://youtu.be/mAi2Wqj6fDYUnfortunately I didn't get to actually use bamboozle because the map was game, but you get to see me ######### up alot because I'm used to running shadowborn so there's that at least.

I understand why people think Nurse is hard, I just don't like that a mediocre Nurse is more than a match for nearly every single team, judging by my own mediocrity and win rate. Thats what I consider easy.
Understandable. But again that's one reason why I think mmr would be a good thing.
-
In honor of this post I will now play a match of Nurse with nothing but bamboozle.

Nope. Having a harsh initial curve doesn't make a killer hard to play. People just massively overrate Nurse because of the first few humiliating trials.
I mean...I can see your point with that last statement because people in this game seem to take losing very seriously and blow it out of proportion ALOT, but if Nurse was really as easy as you say then I would think we'd be seeing a whole lot more Nurse players than we do now. That's not the case though. I don't know about you, but I've played against exactly 2 Nurses in public matches within the last 3 months being in NA west servers. I would think that more people would be willing to sacrifice a few losses in order to easily dominate almost every match they play in after the fact. Again that's not the case though. These days you'll mostly see Wraith or Spirit.
Even after you get the hang of Nurse and her blink distances the skill cap doesn't end there. Depending on how good the survivors are you need to adjust how you play against them. Sure it's not hard to catch a survivor who runs in a straight line or a survivor who always doubles back, but a survivor who knows how to not be as predictable as most others can be a real pain to catch when they do things like break los, hold forward, and fake a double back one chase, and then just simply hold forward the next. They'll really know how to throw off even a good Nurse and even then when you still manage to catch them after like 45 seconds, then they still managed to buy a decent amount of time for there teammates to sit on gens. And not to mention the many bugs she has to deal with and also console, where I play her, where you're even more limited by things like bad frames and controller trigger dead zones and all that jazz.
You're absolutely right though in the fact that you don't need to master Nurse in order to win most matches and that's because the majority of survivors are just bad. I don't know how else to say that. They're just not very good at the game. Very rarely when I win a game as Nurse do I think "Wow I'm so glad I was Nurse. There's no way I would've been able to win that match with any other killer." In fact I'd be willing to bet I could win about 80-90% of the games I win on Nurse using someone like Ghostface. That's just the fault of the poor matchmaking and rank systems. People with 100 hours will play against people with 10,000 hours. That's one reason why I personally feel like an mmr system would be good for the balance of the game. It would shed some light on a bunch of things.
At the end of the day though we can just agree to disagree I suppose. Like I said I'm aware of your dislike of Nurse so I doubt either of us will budge but yeah that's just my input.

To be fair... She's really not. Five hours and you've got enough skill to tear through every team except proper tournament squads, I wouldn't call that a hard killer to learn. Not like Billy, or Blight, or Huntress, or Demogorgon, or Plague, or literally any other killer in the game except perhaps Spirit.
5 hours to destroy all but tourney squads?
And the second easiest killer in the game?
Come on. I know you don't like Nurse, but even you have to admit you're overexaggerating here.

I remember that map. I truly do.
It was a field day for Nurse though.
-
Used to be old Blood Lodge, but none now.
-
Alrighty so...
I'm a console Nurse main and while I don't exactly know how many hours I have on her myself, I have been playing her since some time around late 2018.
First I want to say you're doing great. I'd say you've just about reached that point where you've mostly gotten a general grasp on how to play Nurse and now you're just "sharpening" your skills. So the more you play the more precise you'll get with your blinks and the faster you're reaction times will be. So definitely keep playing more.
One thing I want to point out is sensitivity. Ideally you want to get used to playing on as high of a sensitivity as possible. This is for obvious reasons. Personally I play on 75. It feels just about right for me.
The chain blink window is only so long and when you're looking for survivors you want to get the most out of the time before your camera gets jerked down. Also when you play against higher rank survivors they will attempt to juke your blinks and you need to be able to quickly match them. If you make a mistake with your lunge and start turning the wrong way, but you react quickly and your sens is high enough (and your blink itself was precise enough) you can quickly swing your camera back the right way and correct yourself.
You don't exactly have to crank it up super high right away, but you can do what I did and gradually turn it up in increments of 5. You can do this every few days or weeks or even months. Whatever works best for you. I'd say you ideally want to get used to playing at at least somewhere around 65. It'd be good if you can go higher though. I was able to make lunge corrections at 65 so that's why I'm suggesting, but it didn't feel fast enough for me so I ended up going a bit higher. But yeah just find what works best for you.
Once you get better survivors in your games they'll start to double back on you. Trying to cut them off with a blink when they break LOS will cost you lots of easy hits so I recommend not doing that. You want to blink to the corner or whenever they broke LOS with your first blink and use the second blink to close the gap if they kept running, or just hack their face off if they double back right into you. If you notice the survivor isn't doubling back then it is ok to just go for the prediction blinks, but most of the time you'll wanna blink to where LOS was lost.
Example:
At 10:29 you spot the Claudette and she breaks LOS behind the logs. You go for a prediction blink but she doubles back and so you miss. If you would've blinked behind the barrel she would've ran right into you and bam ez hit. If she'd have kept running forward you would've simply just used your second blink to close the gap and bam ez hit.
Other than that really just keep playing her. Like I said you're already on the right path mostly. You'll get faster, you're reaction times will get better, and your blinks will become more precise. Just gotta keep playing👍
Good luck!
-
And I just checked on xbox and I have 230 hours on there. Sooo 1200 hours total excluding the time I played on someone else's profile who got me into the game before I owned it myself 😅
Thank you very much btw!

Would have to be either Slinger or Plague for me.

Yep Ps4 here "No Network Connection" yet I'm definitely connected to the internet.

YASSSSS. I've been telling people this for years. You can't get a good estimate of how much milk was added if you put cereal first. I don't drink the rest of the milk that's in the bowl after and I don't want to waste more milk than I have to.
Yes dude. It also helps prevent the cereal from getting soggy too fast and if you want to get more cereal after the first bowl, you're going to have to pour the cereal into the milk ANYWAYS. Not only that but this way it gives better control over your milk to cereal ratio.
Milk first gang🤙🤙

They've already said no to this before due to the current lobby system, allowing friends to join from the survivor screen and not having a seperate menu for survivor and SWF
Damn. Feelsbad.

While we're at it can we have the switch to killer/survivor button back too? One day it just disappeared without a trace :'(

Ah I see. You bite into kitkats without breaking them first.

Why? Are you also a milk before cerealer?

The milk should always go before the cereal.

Yep. Rift skins appear in the store a year later. You can expect to see it some time in October-December.

Possibly. Could also just be someone who's a fan of their work.

Nope. I think the best you can do is make sure your tv is already not zoomed in. If your picture is already set to native aspect ratio, then this won't help, but basically you want to go to your display settings for whatever tv you have and set the picture size to native. If your tv was on full or wide then you'll notice that it zooms out a bit. Again; other than bringing the resolution to what the game is supposed to be ran at this does nothing, but I thought I'd just tell you anyways in case you didn't know.
-
The Resident Evil franchise easily. If I had to pick a favorite it'd be Resi 4 no contest. I've through that game countless times across many different platforms. I practically know the game inside out. Oh and it was also the first video game I ever played lol.

Three years. She's had the blink bug that makes you UNABLE TO USE YOUR POWER for three years
Ah yeah that's right. I was mostly talking about the lunge bug though. God I hate that bug with every fibre of my being. It's been in the game since Nurse got her rework about a year and a half ago. It's the most common bug for me and I get it at least once or twice per match.
I can only recall like 2 instances where I've gotten the infamous blink bug tbh and the most recent of those was about a month ago now. I guess I'm just really lucky when it comes to that one, but lunge bug hates me.

My Freshman year during PE I was running backwards and I tripped and instinctively put my hand out to catch myself and I twisted my wrist. When I went to the doctor they told me nothing was wrong, but that sonofabitch hurt for like a whole week straight.
There was also another instance when I was even younger (like 11 or 12) where I jumped off a set of stairs at my uncle's house (yea I'm a dumbass) and hurt my foot. I never told anyone cause I felt too embarrassed I guess so I never went to the doctor. My foot hurt for months with a sharp pain and I remember trying my best to hide it all the time at school all the way till the end of the year. I think that's why I immediately told my mom about my wrist during my Freshman year because I didn't wanna deal with that ######### again.

I say with regret that I actually haven't seen any of those.
Tbh most I haven't watched in a long time, but from what I can remember Quarantine is about a group of people trapped/Quarantined in a building with zombies and they aren't allowed to leave otherwise they'll be killed.
The Colony is about people trapped in bunkers due to climate change but there's also feral people/cannibals in the mix.
The hills have eyes is probably the one I'd recommend the most out of these. It's about a family road trip gone wrong and their car breaks down in an area inhabited by mutant cannibals. There's also a sequel which is honestly pretty good as well.
Wrong Turn is more Cannibals with various groups of people with like 6 movies? Something like that.
Frozen is about 3 friends who get stuck on a ski lift as the ski resort closes for the night.
-
I loved the Descent. Now that you've reminded me of it I think I'll have to rewatch it soon.
Some other honourable mentions: Quarantine, The Colony, The Hills Have Eyes, Wrong Turn, and Frozen (2010) [NOT THE DISNEY ONE] ,which is more of a thriller tbh, come to mind.

Yeah I understand your point, you're not wrong.
It's just a shame there's BHVR sanctioned content creators who behave like that, people who are meant to set good examples yet they berate their opponents on a frequent basis. It's okay to get a bit heated about frustrating matches but some of the ones I've seen take it a bit too far.
Ohhh yea agreed.

You know how a lot of streamers complain whenever a killer or survivor does literally anything
"wow he used dead hard what a blah blah blah"
"wow he's camping me, what a xyz"
Peronsally I wouldn't. I've had multiple TTVs in my lobbies and I've gone to their streams after the game to say GG to them and then watch the vod. Of course there's times they will say stuff similar to this and call me whatever, but I just see it as a heat of the moment thing most of the time. You can tell if someone is just saying stuff in the heat of the moment and if someone is genuinely being a pos. Had some guy calling me a trash console killer in their stream after I had killed them so I didn't even bother saying anything. Most of the time though they're actually really chill and don't mean what they say.
-
Eh looks accurate enough. I might argue Ghostie is actually pretty easy though.
