Relates to this, so you notice Object of obsession users DCing a lot in your games?
I swear it’s like most of them run it because they want to taunt the killer and think they can loop and bully you the whole game because they see streamers do it... they you down them first and they DC.
Yestesay had an OoO that camped and dropped like 10 pallets then as soon as I got her she DC, she screwed her team over so hard making it 3 vs 1 and using up a lot of safe spots.
Doesnt have to be OoO. I sometimes run STBFL for example and it really sucks when Im just not allowed to build stacks because the obsession DCed.
-
Sometimes when its obvious a survivor is really low rank/new... My aim might just REALLY suck against those guys. Cant hit a hatchet to save my life and might ACCIDENTLY wiff afew swings before losing them behind a rock.
The rest of their team though dies.
-
BT tier 1 works just fine imo... The difference between the ranks are kinda minimal since it only lowers the amount of time you have to mend when your standing still.
-
I figured id save my money to see how far I can get in it before buying it. The devs were pretty fair with that so not sure how anyone can feel suckered. Currently at rift tier 62 with plenty of challenges left to fill it out, so figured id buy it after taking a nice screenshot of the tier 70 screen and PROBABLY just keep recycling the auric cells from it to do future ones.

I wouldn't say no to it, but It would also just mean her wind up addons will likely be toned down so you can't have machine gun hatchets again.
Her windup addons are nowhere near where they were during that though. When the devs decided to nerf that, they went through with a sledge hammer... Both addons were nerfed HARD and tinkerer was completely reworked. Wish theyd just make it so addons dont stack if stacking addons are the problem.

I thought that was just a cool dance. That's dumb. So that's supposed to be offensive? I don't get it.
T-bagging refers to putting your testicles on someones face. People would crouch over recently downed opponents in games like COD to simulate that, and while survivors cant down killers... you'll still see them doing the crouching as a taunt.

If they have DS by endgame that's the killer's choice.
Thats kinda the problem. Its a "trap" that you either fall for when its convenient or its weaponized when its not. If I choose to not tunnel ppl, I still have to watch out for stuff like this because I didnt take it away earlier by getting stunned.
Imagine if you will if the only way to disarm Trapper's traps is with your foot. You can step in it now when it might not bite you in the butt, or risk stepping in it later when the killer is on ya.

It's not invincibility, it's protection from being picked up for 60 seconds. If you can't find other survivors you're failing as a killer (or on a stupid op map)
Its plays like this that is being refereed to. Even after going on a completely seperate chase than someone who got unhooked and had time to heal, the guy follows the killer flashlight clicking and immediately unhooks his teammate. The killer DIDNT fail to find another survivor.

wait so youre trash talking instaheals but red add ons are fine because they are rare???? bruh
moris are ballanced?? how??
killer is getting red item every bloodweb (if its hillbilly his getting ebony mori every bloodweb, if its huntress shes getting ebony or 1shot hatchets, most of killers have 33% for ebony, 33% of good red add on and 33% of bad red add on) HOW IS THAT RARE??? if you play with bbq you pretty much have full bloodweb per game. HOW IS THAT RARE? my 100 ebony moris on hilly are rare hmmm (and im not even hillbilly main)
Why do you keep buying the ebonys from the bloodweb? The things are expensive for stuff your not gonna use. Sometimes the way things go, you have to buy them for a new bloodweb to spawn, but at least half of the time the entity will eat it. If you have 100 on Billy, that means youve burned through at least 100 bloodwebs and for some reason keep buying the thing that collects dust. After unlocking EVERY perk on Bubba and never using one of his moris...
Ive only had to buy 18... and he has the same mori spawn rate.
As far as saying moris are common though, I agree. Your right.
-
most of the time I just forget. Kinda wish it would automaticly keep using BP offerins if theyre in a stack like it does with stacks of killer addons. I dont gotta fill the addon slots EVERY GAME, so why do I have to keep putting in BP offerings.

I have enjoyed my killer run and plan on keeping at it. It’s a nice change from gens and sneaking around.
How do I get better at attacks? They run and then turn right at me and I miss. I manage to get them eventually but I’m pissed off by that point. Am I missing something?
Watching a streamer playing earlier and wiffing alot, first thing that comes to mind is dont rush your swings if theyre out in the open anyway. You dont have to clip them with the very edge of your weapon EVERY HIT, lol. Get closer instead of lunging at maximum range all the time.
-
Mostly play killer, but Ive been playing alot more survivor than normal due to the rift. Always FEEL like when I play killer, Im awesome whenever I outplay these looping gods. When I play survivor...my teammates (and I) are potatoes, lol.

With how popular anti-heal builds are I've been unironically bringing autodidact.
The perk actually benefits off the Killers anti-heal perks like sloppy.
True, but it only really works if ya can get the stacks on it up...so in matches that are REALLY long with lots of healing. You're also only benefiting other people with it as opposed to getting yourself healed. Feel like something like botany knowledge would be better for a more stable boost. The fact that it helps with medkits can be nice for the self healing aspect.

And I'M saying that there is a trade off there too.
You have a target on your for longer sure, but the alternative is a bigger target.
Feel like with how popular Nurses calling is becoming again with more and more Ghostfaces... Id rather just stay injured than risk using selfcare.

Ok but if you are caught out while being healed by someone else it's much harder to avoid someone being hit simply because it's easier to get a hit on 2 Survivors than 1.
And the "30 seconds healing only to be interrupted" in terms of time efficiency is the same thing as being interrupted 15 seconds into being healed by someone else. And being interrupted 15 seconds into a self care heal is half as much effective time lost.
Remember that 1 second of being healed by someone else is equivalent to 2 seconds of self care, and thus any math based on time lost must convert between the 2 properly.
I get as far as math terms, its the same. Its less likely though to be caught out mid heal if the heal is being done faster. Thats the point I was trying to make. The longer your healing, the more time your spending with a target on your back.

I have been done with the rift before level 4 of it released. I still completed all the challenges of the last level and have been done with everything for about two weeks. I have to say that it feels liberating playing normally and not have to worry about getting x challenge done.
Ive still got abit to go, but I think this is kinda ironic. When the rift first came out, everyone was complaining that it was IMPOSSIBLE to finish. You had ppl crunching numbers adding up the rift fragments to tome lvls they hadnt even SEEN yet. Now you have ppl bored because they finished the rift ahead of time...

I still have people to prestige and get every perk on so I guess that’s why it doesn’t feel obsolete to me.
3 killers done with every perk... 15 to go. Feels like at the rate theyre releasing killers and perks, Im never gonna get em all done. I have no clue how big name streamers have every perk on every killer and have em all P3.

The difference is now we've been given something to strive for other than the usual grind for once (grinding the rift levels and challenges). Having to wait 2 weeks or more for the next rift just feels underwhelming now.
For me, its always been about the game rather than the grind. Its the same reason why I'll sit in survival missions for super long times on Warframe, even though I could do it for 20 minutes at a time and get the same prizes while fighting easier enemies. I enjoy fighting the hard enemies and the prizes I'm getting is just a bonus.

It cuts out travel time and is more efficient in terms of completing gens due to coop penalty mechanics. So while the healing itself is exactly as fast baring other perks, it still is a significant efficiency improvement.
Especially in solo que where people often just don't heal you for whatever reason.
When compared to other self healing perks it's the most reliable and reusable but also the slowest.
Still feel like finding a teammate or 2 is still the better choice so you dont spend so much time selfcaring and get caught out while injured. You're spending ALOT of time possibly being a target with nurses calling or something. Imagine spending 30 seconds healing, just for the killer to interrupt you and all that time being for naught.
-
Same reason people played before the rift...because they enjoyed the game. Your still getting BPs from playing normally and still getting shards that you can use to buy cosmetics. The new rift comes out in a week.
-
Was in a similar game last night.
the killer DID NOT have a good time.

If a team wants to run around without exhaustion perks trying to bodyblock that's fine for me. Easy 4k.
Youd basicly be looking at a sabo squad that doesnt need to actually sabotage hooks and basement not being an option. Its the same effect anyways with you getting downs but never being able to get anyone on a hook unless you slug them all first.
-

It's an exhaustion perk. Can't you read?
I read, just fine...point stands. I go down, killer cant get me cuz 1 teammate bodyblocks and stuns. She can either chase me or him, she chases me...his exhaustion gets to recover. She chases him...we got more teammates to body block.

Protection seems fine and signal just needs to be in a very low range.
Protection would just have people bodyblocking every killer holding a survivor. Youd legit NEVER get a hook when they take turns taking a single hit for each other to escape. All in all, all 3 perks are OP as all hell, lol.
-
I run spinechill due to the fact that LOS isnt always guaranteed. If Im working on the gen in the school on Badham for example and the killer is nearby, Spinechill lets me know when hes ACTUALLY coming to me. Ill gladly work on said gen with him nearby, but I dont want my first indication that I should be running be when hes walking down the stairs.

I already stated they're NOT using whispers. I use whispers myself and it's helpful, so it always surprises me when I discover they didn't use that perk. And no, I'm not talking about SM Myers either; I've tried that build too when I have the available tools.
Had to reread the post, missed that part...so...crows?
-
Could just be that whispers turned on and that was the first spot they checked...or of course scratched mirror myers, lol. Also gotta be careful about crows, because some killers REALLY notice those things.

I've never come across a killer who didn't use their Ebony as soon as they could.
Its my favorite way of using a mori, lol. Can use it as a deterrent to make survivors think twice about dumb shenanigans, since they dont feel so ballsy when their DS can be bypassed by a mori. I remember queuing up against 4 Claudettes who all decided to try to dress identically. Brought in the mori and had a good game. Didnt actually have to USE it on anybody, which just left them puzzled in the endgame chat. Can also bring in a cypress mori for the same effect.
-
Texting with 1 hand and 360ing with the other
-
Just shows the entity can snag people from ANYWHERE
-
Ive actually been wondering the same thing. Most killers have afew decent skins you can get with shards, but Billy seems kinda lacking.
-
Pretty much exactly what you already said...throw the pallet early. Clown cant do much more than most killers once the pallet is thrown as far as actually chasing WITHOUT breaking it.
-
Unfortunately this is pretty much as good as its gonna get. Latency is an issue with alot of hits, and last time they tried fixing the hatchet hitboxes to make them seem more realistic to the hatchet's shape... the hatchets just kept flying through people and NEVER hitting, so they reverted it back.
-

So you are suggesting a lot of the killer rift challenges will be needing Doc and "zap a survivor 25 times in a single match" sort of challenges?
If thats possible Doctor challenges, I want T-bag a survivor 25 times when its ghostface's turn, lol.

@ermsy said:
The only time I've "abused" pwyf is when I'm trying to lose Chase rather than hitting the survivor and the survivor thinks that I want to farm/being friendly. It's not intentionally and I feel guilty when I smack the survivor down.
And example of perks actually being abused would be survivors with bt and Ds. Running into the killer and body blocking with bt or going for an overly aggressive save in front of you because of the safety of DS.
I can MAYBE see it as abusing when you moonwalk after a survivor to lose chase...while still right ontop of them. Thats kinda just cheesing the chase mechanic to build stacks. Thought it funny though that the guy said perks that survivors abuse like DS and BT got nerfed so... I told him I want some BT lvl "nerfs" on PWYF where instead of maxing out at 3 stacks, I get 10.
-
@FriendlyGuy said:
PWYF nerf...lol...there are still many people that rate nemesis+PWYF under SF+enduring. But yeah let's nerf a mediocre peek that got some synergy. GG.
Hopefully they dont do anything like make the perk lose ALL tokens when you attack. Go from 3 stacks to 0 for 1 hit.

Well, then I guess this perk is overrated then.. except for Trapper and Hag
Its not overrated if you can find ppl. Like I said, a tracking perk can help if need be. You also have killers like Doc that'll find someone in 5 seconds.

The person that brought inner strength AND self-care made my head hurt...
Hey, sometimes you have enough time to get hit 5 times, break every totem AND selfcare for an eternity behind a tree. How else are you gonna use your time? Gens? Whats a gen? Lol, jk.
-
Stealthing during the 120 seconds has always been the counter there. As a killer, your best bet is to either use that time for your own preparation (Trapper, Hag) or to bring a perk like whispers to make tracking abit easier.
-

But...how are people abusing it? Did they say how?
No, they didnt go into anymore detail than that. I know its gained alot of popularity with instadown killers, expecially with Nemesis. Was using it on Plague with no addons and did fairly well.

Bond is one of my favourite perks in solo queue, and IMO it's far better than self care for getting yourself healed. I only leveled Nancy far enough to get her Adept achievement. I really should try to use inner strength and see how well it works for me.
I lvled her up immediately thinking inner strength and fixated were gonna be main stays for my stealthy survivor playstyle (which says something since Im a killer main and dont use many points in survivor). Ended up using inner strength for about a week and fixated for about a month (being able to stealth around an area while the killer is searching your jungle gym and failing to find you is great).

Agree and I think this is a good argument against it.
I don't run SC but tend to run inner strength but in your scenario I wouldn't necessarily be using it because there's no point. But what were getting into now is the nuance of different matches. In my example, they kept getting 'one-shotted' because they had no heal and couldn't manage the killer. I really wish they did have SC in my scenario.
Some in this thread were had more of a 'chest thumping' take. That is 'oh if you were a good player, you wouldn't need it'. So it tends to skew a lay audiences view of SC.
I might call it "chest thumping" if someone is insinuating NEVER healing, but in this case...theres just so many better options. Like you said, inner strength is GREAT. I used that for abit myself when it first came out. Typically though I stick to bond since it has alot of uses, not JUST for healing.
-
@Esheon said:

Eh, I stopped using SC after the last nerf. It just takes too damn long, especially if the killer is using any heal slowdown perks. Even without bond or empathy, it's usually not too hard to find someone to heal you.
While I won't fault anyone for using whatever build they like, I was getting really annoyed at one group this weekend... self-caring against a legion with thana and sloppy. At one point with Empathy I saw someone start healing on the other side of the map. I started working on a gen that was less than halfway done. I finished before they did.
Surprised the legion was still using sloppy since it doesnt proc on FF hits anymore.

The only way i see that being interesting is if we have it switch back and forth between 5 strangers, and then the last 2 or 3 episodes is them getting pulled into the entity realm and the game taking place on the last episode. A show all about 1 character wouldn't really be DbD
Was thinking along the lines of an episode showcasing the leadup and events of Rin Yamaoka's death or something, ending with her reveal as the Spirit at the end. Do afew episodes like that with "game" episodes afterwards.
-
Who really runs selfcare if theyre gonna be bringing a medkit and using ITS advantage anyways?
-
For Plague- Nemesis, Play with your food, Ruin/corrupt intervention and Pop
For Huntress- Whispers, BBQ, Ruin and Nurses calling.
