There's been talk about noed getting nerfed and talk about noed staying as it is. One thing which stands out is that noed is a frustrating perk to go against. It's almost shameful to equip it to begin with.
I like noed but I think it's due a nerf and when perks get nerfed to be less annoying, they tend to lose their function.
So here I am thinking of nerfs which will be less annoying but still as lethal at the end game.
Waiting 7 seconds for the noed cooldown to happen would mean the perk is more strategy based and not as crutch as it is deemed now. It would reduce the slug potential due to the fact that if you hit one Survivor down, for the next 7 seconds if you hit a survivor they will need 2 hits to go down or the 7 second cooldown to be complete.
This isn't a nerf noed thread, this is more of a I know noed will eventually be nerfed and when it is please make sure it's use remains, which is of course the insta downs once gens are completed.
And yes I know some Survivor perks need nerfs to break them out of the meta but that is irrelevant to my point however much I agree with you.
These threads pop up a lot every now and then, but I dislike perks that reward failure. NoeD is once such perk. I would rather run a perk that rewards my success as a killer not my incompetence.

How about you cleanse the dull totems instead of finishing gens in 3 minutes. The perk was literally created to punish survivors who ignore totems, not "reward" bad killers, whether or not the killer is bad is irrelevant.
There are 5 totems, look for unbroken/broken ones or voice com with your friends
it's so funny... survivors complain about not having anything else to do, but when the devs boost the reward two fold for cleansing totems people STILL gen rush and complain about NOED.

When it's been a rough set of matches, I do this with anyone who wants attention. Rough guess, I'd say 50% or so will DC when I don't chase them. The devs said to pressure gens, but hell, if I can chase someone and have Jedi Knight Flashlight chasing me too, that's 2 people off of gens. Pretty efficient imo.
Sometimes I do chase them though, especially when I'm playing a Killer I want to practice stuff on. Huntress especially. Before I stopped playing her, I'd chase anyone who was down to loop me to death and didn't mind me refilling hatchets every now and again. It really improved my aim enormously.
I'll have to do this honestly. Seems more fun.

That doesn't really make a lot of sense. How is Freddy better than the Nurse who did do that grind though?
A solid Nurse ignores the survivors main element of escape to the point where she can BENEFIT from pallets at times.. I don't even play Nurse yet I am clueless as to how any other killer can even come close to that when they are performing at max peak. Just coming right through the walls and ending you. A solid Nurse will also not just continue to be mind gamed into making the wrong blink. Her blink being so strong a great Nurse missing at times would be like any other good killer just runnin the loop and never missing.
Freddy has abilities that slow down survivors at loops the Nurse can ignore. Freddy has an inferior version of teleport and some game slowing. For Freddy to be better....that would mean a god tier Nurse who is able to ignore loops entirely still fails to make up for the tiny slowdown Freddy gains even though he still has to run loops. Im not seeing that AT ALL.
Freddy does not suffer from the crippling penalty of missing a survivor can cause you to basically just lose them because they can hold W.
A nurse who misses a swing after blinking can legitimately be run to the end of the Thompson House map. From one wall to the other without catching up. A survivor just runs straight and wins. Then imagine this happens again and again. Between her slow base speed and her current recharge speed without addons she crippled from the start just by missing and then attempting to catch up. Freddy can do better simply because of Being a 115% with Snares.
Ya Nurse can go through walls, but not all Survivors are brain dead enough to fall for that either. Nurse isn't someone you loop conventionally so comparing both in a manner like that will always make Nurse be stronger.
Least Freddy can catch up and play with them.

If they want my attention and play the clicky-clicky game, I completely ignore them the entire match and focus on the other 3 Survivors. It usually ends with them DC'ing around the 4th time I've refused to chase them and went back to patrolling gens. Post-game chat is usually the other Survivors swearing at the Streamer.
If they play "normal", I do too. As long as they aren't doing the "I'm a Jedi Warrior" act, I don't change my gameplay at all. Don't see any reason to if they are just playing.
This could be a fun thing to do just ignore them.

I used to main her up until Spirit dropped. Then i tried her after the rework it brought a tear to my eye.

Nurse is probably better for a experienced player who knows what they are doing, but sadly you can do the same level of play with less frustrations and less grind to learn Nurse with equal or better results with another killer.
Before her nerf my answer would of hands down been Nurse.
-
I dislike it as a killer and a survivor because it rewards failure. Why run a perk that rewards that when you can play perks that rewars success.
Giving a pity kill is worthless.

She's in a pretty good spot right now. The only thing bad is the RNG of her traps.
No, no she's not. Her crouch PoV is extremely low. The crouching movement itself is too slow and clunky. Her Ambush dash announcement is way to early for the actual dash. She needs a rework of a majority of her addons.
Despite this I oddly think the traps are the one aspect that should remain untouched. It's in a good position as is. Most people want a stealth nerf to it by adding RSN2 as base which removes the Option of choice which makes it weaker.
Yet I still play her for my personal enjoyment. She has a few things wrong, but most of it's honestly just the first part.
-
She kinda has a flat butt. People seems to enjoy her flat butt and comment how great it is. Tells me the majority of people are ignorant of what a good butt is.

I think Hag would be the first to go, Plague would fight hard but likely die early as well, unsure about Bubba/Ghostface/Spirit, Oni would be a real threat, Myers would also be very deadly. Wraith would probably have a hit and run play style where he goes around to the struggling Killers and tries to finish them off (or he would stay cloaked until one Killer was left and battered from fighting everybody). For some reason I don’t feel like Billy would be too deadly, maybe get a couple of kills and then Oni would tombstone him. Legion (only one member could appear) could do pretty well, Clown would not be too much to worry about I presume. Trapper seems like he could take on one of the big guys like Myers or Oni, but I don’t think he would end up winning against them. Nurse and Pig would not do great in my opinion, but Huntress could definitely get into the later stages of the match. I feel like Doctor may be annoying to deal with, but some of these Killers could probably just ignore his shock therapy/static blasts and take him out. Nightmare may be deadly against Survivors, but against other Killers, dream snares/fake pallets/teleporting to gens doesn’t do much and he would likely die early. Demo is certainly a contender to win, but I’m completely confident he would take it all. I would say the Final 3 would be Oni, Myers, and Demo but Oni would take it all. What do you guys think?
Spirit or Huntress for the win.

Survivor: Feng since I started DBD. I rarely play anyone else unless I'm bored of perfect builds.
Killer: Spirit, Huntress, and Pig. Oh god the amounts of Pig.

only if the DS goes away if another person gets hooked.
Honestly a few changes to DS would make it a real anti tunnel perk. A killer who is too efficient and gets punished for not tunneling is also not really acceptable. There's a few things with the current DS that need to be changed. The 60 seconds of invisibility is definitely a large issue if 3 to 4 people have it.
-
@LetsPlayTogether said:
No. Its fun. Just decrease the chance with Plunderers.
I wouldn't mind it if Plunders was the only way to get Keys from chest. At least your sacrificing a slot for a RNG chance.
-
@Auron471 said:
"Just dont tunnel" intensifies
But honestly i think DS should just be like this:
Can be used multiple times. If the survivor is fully healed, or touches a generator, DS deactivates. DS cannot activate during the EGC.
Problem solved.
I think if another person is hooked or unhooked then DS should deactivate for the previous person who had it because it means the killer was clearly not tunneling. This also means that only one person can have it at a time.

I'm a rank 1 killer, and I use new ruin paired with surveillance in the majority of my killer builds, I didn't use use before it's "nerf".
What I like about new ruin is that I don't have to waste time kicking generators when it's up. When paired with surveillance it becomes a great tracking perk, and it helps me to provide generator pressure, as I know which generator is being worked on.
New Ruin is not a bad perk, it's now become one of my favourite killer perks in the game. To make the most of new Ruin you have to constantly push survivors off generators.
Odd I find new Ruin way to inconsistent to be useful. I would rather run Surge as it last all game and saves me time when it procs. New Ruin has bad synergy with wanting to kick gens and or use PGTW.
Glad your enjoying it though.

I avoided the movie. Almost every live adaptation of a manga or anime turns out horrendously bad.
Sadly the theme of death note would never fit DBD despite it being really cool.

Yes, he camped one more person. And yes, he had No ED
This seems kinda pointless as its not game hostage situation. Its unfun for sure, but not a actual issue. Even the people who do this are a minority. Wait till you encounter a killer who uses Slugging as a counter to DS and a form of pressure.

I run Corrupt Intervention, Infectious Fright, PGTW, and Thrilling Tremors. I sometimes switch out Thrilling Tremors for Thantophoia or Discordance depending on what I see in the lobby it's my flex slot.

So question. If I Chase someone and I down them, then I hook them, then I'm about 3 seconds worth of walking away when I see scractmarks(game map btw). Now this happens to me about 10 times this one match, and Everytime I followed the marks Back to the hook and I down another person. Am I a camper because I didn't let the guy get unhooked or should survivors wait until the killer leave?
Nah your not, but I would suggest growing a thick skin these are common occurrences by bad survivors.

We have so many perks in the game, I still don't know why do we have perks that go only to a rare rarity on tier 3.
Since the perks go from alphabetical order it's pain to find some perks because of the different rarities.
Just make every perk on tier 1 uncommon, tier 2 rare and tier 3 very rare. Or add a search button.
I would rather have perks between common and ultra rare on the blood web at tier 3.

My idea would be to have the person unhooked also get to see the killer but at the cost of the person unhooking being shown for more time as a aura. Put the non aura part onto WGLF like it should of been long ago.

The issue with that is, BHVR would be in serious trouble for doing that. We pay for these characters. The legal right to use them in game. We own licenses to these characters. In Overwatch, you don't pay for characters. You pay for cosmetics.
Have you read the terms of service? I'm not sure how it is in most country's, but in the USA they can revoke the right. Your basically renting the game if you read the fine print.
-
I'm on the opposite end. I get a bunch of survivors clearly boosted beyond there skill level to red ranks and rank reset keeps them there.
It's not fun picking on baby killers or baby survivors. I rarely get games anymore that I consider challenging or even fun. The skill gap between now and before the rank reset change is massive.

I honestly dont give a ######### if theres actually people that say that, because its simply not true, and even if it was, it doesnt matter in this case because we are talking about playing on console.
Sorry, but it is true just because your bad with controller for survivor does not make that a irrefutable fact either.
I personally don't see the problem with Mouse and Keyboard on Consoles all it will do is give people who have a hard time with controller or want to use M&K better access to the game.

That all depends on the fix in reality.
Each patch has multiple fixes for both sides but it all depends on the killer a person plays. If it doesn't affect that one they do then it can seem like they are not fixing it when its just in a queue.
What we always have to remember is the survivors have two skins male and female and the animations are all the same.
Now each killer is different between size and animations along with seperate powers so the amount of things that can go wrong is a lot more.
My comment was in reference to the OP not everyone in general as the post itself only see the DS fix ignoring others in the same patch.
I know what it was referring to it. I just found it entirely insensitive on your part as well due to that last comment.
You are wrong though the fact the Dev's tend to heavily reuse coding from previous parts of the games is why a majority of the bugs reappear over and over. It has nothing to do with animations and stuff. While it does to a extent that wont be the main reason. This has been proven a lot of times actually I don't even have an accurate number for that amount. If you happen to copy and paste a line of code with a bug what happens?
Either way I see no point in debating on a subject when I already said I agreed with you.
-
@twistedmonkey said:
You talk about a dedicated server issue which is causing issue with things on both sides.
The fix to DS obviously had nothing to do with it being a simple one and therefore the logical conslusion is it must have been about survivor bias 🙄.
Sometimes people can't see the Forrest for the trees.
I mean I completely understand what you mean man don't misunderstand that in anyway as you read my post. I 100% am with you as I know how it all works.
It's just that a vast majority of bugs that impede survivors are quickly patched while bugs that hinder killers are generally more or less take a significant amount of time to patch if they even bother between new DLC and Mid Chapters. A reoccurring issue of this is Bugged Sounds that almost happens with every new release or big update. How many times last year was the bug fixed and then readded in? I'll tell you something amusing did you know that bug lasted for the majority of the year on and off? Most people kinda got used to it and forgot about it more often than not until it was fixed right up until another update.
Then with quick fixes to one side more then the other let's discuss the problem of bad PR we recently had with the announcement of the Ruin change. While we all understand why it was changed that didn't change the fact due to bad PR the entire message literally just sounded like a Survivor Biast post.
Not to mention we had a Dev mention right from the get go they wanted Ruin changed since they got hired. Then people who are well known Mains of certain killers telling Dev's that they know. These are the current bugs with X Killer. Which then they reply that X Killer has always been that way. They try to explain again and either get told a "we will look into it" or shut down.
So when a killer says that the game is Survivor Biast I can completely understand why they are saying it and where they are coming from. Is it actually survivor biast? Very unlikely, but appearances do matter.
So please don't just give a generic quote like "People can't see the Forest, From The Trees" it honestly just seems rude and very insincere to legitimate issues people face.
-
I play Solo and SwF usually just me and 1 person, but I do play up to 4 means with a friends friends.
I dont enjoy the aspect of survivor nearly as much anymore. I find it increasingly boring bullying or faking downs to my group for newer killers.
Not only that a lot of my friends like being chased so that gets me thrown to gen jockey. You know what I legitimately miss Ruin. I may of missed a skill check here and there, but what I miss was going like "I'll find it" or working through it. Now I just hit regular skill checks because I dnt need to worry about greats and if I do hit them I lose time playing just so I can play lobby sim again.
