Yea it sure would be fun to queue for 10 minutes just for my teammates to dc because of a single killer or because they got outplayed

Can we stop judge everything that early please. We did not even try new changes yet. And they said they will look her and if she needs, they will buff her again.
You don't need to be a rocket scientist to understand these changes do very little.

360's only work on people for the most part because the FOV on killer is atrocious

Double iris suck just run tombstone piece with memorial

His terror radius nerfs were a little too much he could easily be a 24m TR killer considering spirit is somehow 24m. I never played him before the nerfs but I've picked him up recently and his anti loop seems pretty good and his zoning is excellent.

Her blink tokens are the only thing separated good nurse players from the bots. It would let a bad nurse just endlessly spam blinks and get you down no matter what.

By what means can you call it "overkill", please explain with logical thinking and whatever kind of math?
It's 7 rushes (5 is already difficult to deal with), insane token recharge speed, and 10% faster rushes no matter the token you're on. You can force a pallet drop in 3 rushes and while you're breaking it be ready to rush again. Sure you can't do some of the fancy stuff without turnrate addons as well but those are just for show. When combined with compound 33 it's just stupid.
-
This is an awful idea. DBD used to have a block list that people would abuse to block good killers making them spend forever in queue just because people didn't want to go against good killers.

Circle of Healing is fine. There is nothing wrong with it. Survivors literally waste time bringing a boon into the game, a good killer should capitalise on this. Plus they're really easy to find and take out.
If they're that big of a problem just run Thrill of Hunt or Undying.
Unless survivors are booning right next to you, looping you into the boon, or booning too much it is a loss of time to travel to a boon to temporarily remove it especially if it's in a nasty spot on a low mobility killer. Being able to self care in about 20 seconds an unlimited amount of times without needing to invest perks/items into it is insane.
Your solution? Spend 1/4 of your slots on a hex to counter a perk only one survivor needs to bring that can be removed less than a minute into the game.
-
Wait until you play against survivors who know what a window is. Sure he eats up pallets but if your team is all on gens you can throw as many as you need

After the live Q&A where the devs said Midwich is the map with the fewest escapes, I noticed that the map has been updated and now has a horrible hook layout. While Fractured (the map with the most escapes) has apparently remained unchanged. This map is known to all for its arrangement of loops which allows the surv to concatenate them very effectively. It is no news that this map is extremely survivor sided, so why not update it as they did with Midwich too?
BHVR balancing is letting people run to one specific spot on the map to avoid being hooked because hooks just never spawn there

The Game is pretty tame compared to some of the larger maps with way strong tiles that chain.

Blight: His hitboxes on the start of his swing are huge so wait until you're right next to someone to swing and you should always get a hit no matter what

Let me start this off with saying that I am not trying to negate anyone's bad or good experience with the game. Be it on the killer or the survivor side. This is just about my own experience and just because I don't relate to a lot of the killer posts I see on here, doesn't mean others can't.
Now, back to what I came to say in the first place. I started playing the game a few years ago - and while I had some breaks in between for the first two years, I've been playing quite regularly since late spring 2021. Until a few months ago, about November 2021, I never dared to even consider playing killer.
Mainly because I read a lot of posts on here, telling me that I would be subject to relentless toxic behavior on the survivor part, and it would not be any fun, because there was no way I would ever be able to play against survivors that use Dead Hard and Borrowed Time and Decisive Strike [that last two don't really faze me, because I try to make a point in not tunneling, it's just not fun for me, thought I sometimes do it during endgame, if I have to]. So I never picked up a killer.
Someday I just decided to say ######### it and just go for it and lo and behold, I realized that I had a lot more fun playing killer compared to playing survivor - not saying I didn't have fun then as well, just not as much - and I noticed that it was a lot easier for me to rise in the ranks as killer. I don't really care about Bloodpoints, so I don't really care how high I get each month [around low glod ranks], and I'm not a very competitive person, so that could be why I am perfectly okay with getting an average of 2 - 3 kills a match. I mean, I main Legion... on purpose, I just run around and have fun.
I also haven't really come across any extremely toxic survivors since I picked up playing killer, sure there's been one or two people who, for a lack of better words, sucked, but in total, so far I had a great time playing killer. And I just want to let people, who are scared of playing killer as I was, know that it's really not all that bad. You can have a great time! [Also, ever since playing killer I became a better survivor as well - even though I hardly play as one anymore, so maybe you can pick up some tricks as well]
Killer is not as unfun as people say, but the few huge losses you get against very good players and on a weaker killer just make you feel powerless to do anything. When you're playing the role though you should expect you'll have bad games to rng that you just can't do anything about except play your best. Killer is going to obviously be more "stressful" when you have to worry about 4 people, perks, items, and 7 gens.
-
If you're not getting tunneled without DS it's because the killer is expecting that you have DS to begin with so you're getting value out of it without having it
-
Fast heals especially fast self caring is insanely strong. Most of the issues with COH are map ones though like it being a 1 minute walk to snuff a totem temporarily. M1 killers/Hit & run playstyles are just dead now.

I don't think it will give good data. The reason is backfill and lobby dodging mess with matchmaking, which has already been said to prioritise shorter wait times. There probably is no churn factor being calculated. Garbage in, garbage out.
BHVR used this data to nerf twins though. They used the smallest playrate of any killer obviously carried by the few people who play them to balance so why don't they show us this "high mmr" data.

She's a strong killer that you can't just drop a pallet on and loop for 10 years and people are playing her more

I disagree with Nurse, she's the only killer that makes people saying "this game is killer sided" slightly valid. Her problem is that once you learn how to ignore the fundamentals of the game, she becomes so ridiculously strong that Slowdown + the right add-ons on her is just too much. That being said I'm fine with her, I don't want this game to ever actually be balanced, just remove the ridiculously oppressive stuff like Dead Hard and old Ruin + Undying and I'm good.
A good nurse just isn't played enough against so people tend to just get steamrolled by a good one. If you're on a decent map you can for sure waste a good amount of her time.
-
Depends on the circumstances
-
Funny how competitive DBD is actually a lot more fun since you get more points for getting 1st hooks on people and less for progression (just face camping on hook)
-
Flashlights suck and rarely will get value especially if you're smart. It's good to know someone might be following me the whole game instead of pressuring gens. Chasing 2 people at once is ultimate value.
-
NOED won't be too much of an issue for solo queue once they add the icons for what survivors are doing. ATM it's very hard to track how many totems are left without small game and the only real worthwhile totem perk is detectives so you can't run 2 entire totem perks.
-
Twins. The way they have to play is very boring to go against and with solo queue teammates that insta crush victor and don't double up it's a nightmare.
-
Not at all since it gives more info on where survivors are at. Most of the time it's just people wanting to be chased

I personally only tunnel if I absolutely cant find ANYONE, not even the person who just unhooked. However the most common move then is just slug that unhooked survivors.
We all know this classic situation where you meet that recently unhooked survivors because he was still staying at the area or ran into you or you just simply found them by accident, you slug them for DS. Now you come back after some time and then you get the classic 99 DS in your face.
What do you do after that then? Well since he has no DS anymore you will obviously specificly tunnel him out to get a free kill right off the bat.
What I am saying is (atleast in my personal experience) Ds gives me a reason to tunnel survivors not really the other way around. Perks like borrow or bodyblocking are more then enough to counter tunneling and already make me want to leave the survivors and go instead for others which are more off position, ppl who are getting tunneled are ofc on alert and stick near loops or strong tiles to be rdy for the upcoming chase if you go for them. These are more then enough reasons for me personaly to not tunnel that survivor and just go for other ppl who are anyway doing gens in the meantime.
I dont get why Killers cry about DS still to this day, imo DS isnt really a staple as some ppl claim it to be, however in tournaments its a different topic obviously, talking here about pubs specificly.
The issue is that DS is insanely strong especially when multiple people have it and when combined with UB or DELI you basically get godmode off hook and most of the time people will save it so they get a free escape last second at the exit gate even though for all purposes they would have lost. It also let's you loop the killer for 50s and if the killer picks up you can loop for even longer making the time spent in chase for the first part wasted. You could say the option is to "not tunnel" but in reality you can't individually hook survivors an expect to get a 3k+
-
I can't tell if this is just a bait post or not
-
People really crying about hug tech? It's not even that useful in the majority of the loops and more for doing crazy predictions. Bump logic >hug tech.
-
After some recent update hook spawns seem to be completely busted especially in the corner with the double breakable wall stairwell you can open. Even if you break both those walls it can be a stretch if you can reach a hook.
-
This sounds cool, but there are way too many factors to even get a realistic killrate from just personal games. MMR, 16 survivor perks, 4 killer perks, map, tile/pallet rng, and more.

If you're going to use Merciless Storm I'd recommend using it with Tinkerer that way you can force people off the Gen to guarantee the stall. I still think it has great stall potential since it can potentially trigger on all gens at least once.
I'll admit though, I'll probably only use this combination on Artist who can actually interrupt survivors from across the map/through walls to force Merciless Storm in these scenarios
So you're letting them get a gen to 90% after a tinkerer proc to maybe block the gen for 20s? You know DMS is a thing right this perk is just awful
-
I really doubt anyone does this since console/epic games looks the same. Either way if I see someone afk on LP I'm getting free early hook.

What other passive slowdown killers are there? Pig and pinhead are the only candidates I’d say
Side objective killers*. They fall into the category of being too strong against new players and rather weak against competent players for the most part. Pig/Pinhead/Plague/Nemesis/Freddy all have overinflated killrates even though most of them are on the weak end.

Will be more fun to play ghost face in top MMR matches now
I was testing if the change fixed it, but nope they just added black bars didn't even fix the issues like being harder to flashlight blind or revealing ghost face
-
Understanding your distances very well so you can milk loops for time
Having good knowledge of what you have to work with and how you could chain tiles together to save resources
Completely understanding how killer powers work/how to avoid them and whether or not a decision you make will get you hit or not by them
Being efficient on gens and making sure 3 gens are never something you have to worry about
Knowing how to play around killer perks/addons

Yea instead of anti loop killer #762 she is passive slowdown killer #426, but her slowdown can be completely ignored. Seems so fun!

Generators will be done no matter what it's just an inevitability. If you want to delay that as much as possible I personally recommend gen freezing perks such as Dead Lock, Corrupt Intervention and the new Dead Man's Switch. The new perk from Sadako: "Merciless Storm" will also be quite nice if you fancy gen freeze.
Otherwise your only real options are Ruin Undying which is risky due to Hexes and requires constantly pressuring Survivors off of gens or utilizing regression perks like Pop and whatnot. My personal favorite is Pop and other perks that incentivize you to go after other survivors and rewards you for HOOKING. Pain Resonance is amazing too and the upcoming Brine perk from Sadako is also going to be great especially when paired with Dragon's Grip. I'm telling you all right now, Brine + Dragon's Grip + Pop has some disgusting potential and let's you snowball pressure off of downs / hooks.
Don't use merciless storm lmao it's 10x worse than tinkerer

I'm sure you were losing all those games before this change because of those dastardly stretched res swfs! This will completely change the meta and killers will now win games 50% more!

Boons aren't a problem like at all even if the mechanic was never changed they would be fine.
Circle of healing is a problem tho. not boons in general
Boons base mechanics are a problem. They should not work on multiple floors since that just allows a few specific maps/main buildings where they're almost impossible to get rid of without throwing away all your pressure.

I think your seeing this from one side only. Killers don't have to tunnel. Nobody is forcing anyone to tunnel and you can win many games without tunnelling. Also if killer is so miserable just don't play it. I get frustrated sometimes yes but I don't force myself to play killer. I either go on a different game or just play survivor.
Same goes for survivor but being tunnelled it out of your control. If a killer wants to tunnel you, there is nothing you can do about it. Nobody likes coming home wanting to play casually with some friends and then being picked on because you looked at the killer funny.
Killers don't have to tunnel against weak players sure. Against good players you will be forced to focus your hooks on 2-3 people if you want any chance of a 3k+. The game just isn't balanced for you to hook each person one by one.

One of the most bullshit things this forum does is tell people how to counter something by bringing something pre game. I would like to remind you I can't see the killer pre game to bring a flashlight, I can't see if the killer has noed pregame to bring a perk just for it, I can't see if the survivor has x perk before to counter it etc.
No one had a flashlight. How do you counter hag, by wandering around in hopes of finding a flashlight in a chest?
Hag has much better counters, but this is not what the thread is about. There was no counter for the 5 traps under 2 hooked people. I was getting down eitherway.
If 2 people are hooked no matter the killer it's practically gg's anyways. It's a complete skill issue that 2 people managed to get themselves hooked together.
-
Do people seriously whine this much about hag? She is hard countered by flashlights and someone taking out her traps while she is busy. B tier killer at best depending on how bad your teammates are.
-
Try running deja vu + streetwise with a good toolbox. You will always know what the best 3 gen is atm.

Lol nurse is no where near stronger than blight what are talking about blight need few seconds to travel the map by base kit nurse has only 20 meters each main blink that alone makes her weaker than him
I would say nurse is on two maps with distance the number one and thats the game and midwicht
Blight only cant counter god pallets everything else is for a blight main no real problem nurse without range and recovery gets destroyed by dh alone bc the time she needs to wait alone will be enough for three people to rush three seperant gens to 25%
Blight can in the most cases choose to which time he wants to use all of his dashes and can easy counter dh with that
I honestly hope this is satire because blight is strong but he doesn't ignore pallets/vaults/entire walls. She just can't be compared to any other killer for how quickly she can down someone in chase if you're good. Let's not forget blight's power is on a cooldown where he becomes a generic m1 killer.
-
Devs talking about their magical solution to perk tiers that they've been working on for the past century. If it's taking this long to come up with a solution maybe you should just bite the bullet and just get rid of them. The grind in this game is atrocious and is made even worse for killers since most good perks are on paid characters vs starting survivors having the strongest perks in the game.
-
For one you need to abuse the directional audio to mindgame. If you use your power while the survivor is across from you on the end of a loop they can't actually tell if you're going left/right and on any short loop it becomes a free hit most of the time since you can move to each side rather quickly. If you want to turn your brain off just use the cherry blossom since you know exactly where they are and you can brute force loops.
