Killers were also non stop crying for something to stop gens going so fast. Boons is the one thing added that does this and they still just complain. It doesn’t matter what BHVR do there will always be complaints here
The issue is that there is basically no reason not to boon when injured. It is literally faster to boon a dull and heal yourself than self care. Your entire team can get quick heals forever until it's snuffed which if it's far away from active gens and the killer doesn't have mobility is ggs. Tag pressure is almost non-existent now as well since if you don't commit to a chase they will run to a boon and heal themselves fast while their teammates crank out gens.
-
It won't be that strong on low mobility killers against people who actually know what's going on. On nurse/blight/oni/spirit/wraith though who can very quickly contest a gen after unhook it's going to be really good slow down.

18 months and no addon rework. He remains the killer with the worst, most useless addons in the game. And he'll never receive the full addon refresh he needs because he's completely over-hyped. A firm B-tier killer that everybody likes to pretend is S-tier (despite the fact that you never see anybody play him in casual or competitive and that he has more power-limitations and survivor alerts than any other killer in the game).
All this because he has the possibility of stopping survivors from using Decisive Strike and Borrowed Time. The HORROR! The unforgivable sin! Potentially turning off two of the most overused, biggest crutches in the game. For this crime, he must forever be overhyped and ignored (except perhaps for another round of nerfs on top of the load he already got).
He actually does see competitive use because his alternative power completely ignores ds/bt which makes him very useful for tunneling people out early. His power also makes unhooks very dangerous

iirc certain bugs on nurse haven't been fixed because they cant find a reliable way to recreate them to know how to go about fixing them
Some of them are more random but some are super obvious. If you get stunned by a pallet when blinking your ears just destroyed. Some objects on maps have terrible collision and you can see it with her addon that shows blink location bugging out on them. The only valid excuse they could have is her code is so old and dodgy that it would take forever to pinpoint the problem.

- Somebody gets downed. All survivors are alerted. The downed survivor gets picked up. All survivors can see the aura.
- Survivors on gens stop repairing for 3 seconds
- The killer hooks the survivor. All survivors are alerted.
- Crows are sent out at likely generators, making an auditory warning for all survivors.
- All the survivors are standing a short distance away, making the crows hit nothing.
- The survivors continue working on gens, having lost 5 seconds of progress instead of 45
- The bad perk has been successfully Counter Played.
Ta Da!
And what do you do against nurse/wraith/blight? They can very easily force survivors off gens with little time wasted.

They fixed this with the Portrait of a Murder release.
Just to double check though, I just had a look in-game. Top is me before blessing a totem, the bottom picture is me after attempting to bless it for a second. It looks fixed to me.

Have you tried it since the patch? Or was it when blessing a Hex specifically?
I must have missed it in the update notes then.

Nemesis infection is the only inoffensive ability that gives survivors a speed boost, so i think is intended.
I can imagine how it sucks in maps like Red Forest.
Now survivors will just make even more distance without actually receiving a damage state than the normal speed boost which makes his power a lot worse. I think they just activate the injured speed boost on the first tentacle swing and overcome thinks you actually lost a health state and activates.
-
I think they could buff coulrophobia to also reduce recovery speeds the same amount. It's only slightly useful in anyway atm to make slugging easier and would make the perk worth running.
-
This dude went against a plague using thanataphobia & prayer tablet I bet
-
Mainly because she's too strong in the 1v1 and denies any looping at all. She's another trickster where he's so good at what he does in the 1v1 he got nerfed and I expect her to get a nice nerf as well.
-
I would think newer players can't comprehend anything other then hold m1 on gens so they get snowballed easy. Also a few smart/skilled pinheads can infinitely chain the chain hunts by predicting where the cube will spawn.
-
Cherryblossom needs reworked to not use killer instinct. Maybe survivors are louder in the 4m range instead?
-
Yes because of how unpredictable his power was to play against. He could have used a really good buff in the 1v4 area though because now that his 1v1 is weaker he's just awkward to play
-
Killers have the advantage when it comes to validating hits outside pallets/deadhard so they most likely had higher ping and you were not behind cover for them. Her hatchets also have a pretty generous hitbox.
-
He's perfectly fine as is besides maybe needing more interesting addons. He's a top A tier killer on the verge of being S tier.
-
Not a perk but plague is feeling really good after the buff. If you run brown prayer tablet or her toe addon + hematite seal you can force survivors to always be infected which makes their perk slot for COH wasted.
-
For gen time you can always run the super gen build (Pop/No Way Out/Corrupt/Deadlock)

same method as pyramid head
just changed from vertical to horizontal and having more delay
A lot stronger than PH in all honesty. She can lock down 3 parts of a loop while he can try to guess where you'd be.
-
She needs a rework more than a straight numbers nerf. The only way to play against her is just leave the loop and it's very boring.

not really? hatch opens when there is only 1 survivor left. Even if they died via DC its still a death. besides what if in a solo game someone dcs cause they got angry or whatever people dc for. should the last survivor be punished?
You should read the part where I said it would only do this if the last person is a SWF and the dcing players are part of that SWF

It's really not that big of a deal. I mean how often can this happen, maybe once a day?
It's not the frequency that matters. It's an unintended bug that people exploit to deny guaranteed 4k's.
-
Considering the MMR cap can be reached almost instantly and is almost exactly the same even on a killer you never play those max mmr players are going to have to run good killers to not lose constantly.
-
It's just hitstun validation since killers already have priority over dead hard and many other things. They dropped the pallet way before your swing went through. It's corrected serverside after the fact so clientside stuff (blood/hud changes/sounds) will still play as if you got the hit. Considering that they made the stun hitbox super small on the same side as survivors so they are no longer protected by the hitstun validation and can't reverse stun easily it is fair.

Oh Wraith can still be bullied quite easily. Just bring a flashlight and lightburn him before he can decloak.
It takes pretty good aim and luck. As wraith even w/o speed addons you can just juke the flashlight sometimes in peoples face and still get an uncloak
-
He's very oppressive against solo queue and some of his addons are very strong. Also free killer that isn't that hard to play so you get noob killers who face camp/tunnel off hook.
-
First I'd watch a video on how to run the tiles effectively and know when 50/50 situations come in play. Some killers are weak at certain tiles so take that into account.
Huntress is strong at long walls/windows/short(height) loops. Shack won't last long so if possible try leaving early and gaining distance during a mindgame situation.
Blight gets a free hit on LT walls, but can suffer on smaller loops and slides off cars very easy.
Wraith is very strong at small loops since he can swing all the way around them, but suffers some at windows.
Chainsaw killers also suffer at windows so if they vault a window very early they may have bamboozle to deny the window so avoid it.
If you're against nurse there is no looping just try getting out of view and run in a direction. Trying to double back against a nurse that's decent is not a smart idea.
Loop tightly as you can because killers collision hitbox results in them not catching up as fast. If they loop tightly and you don't pallets won't be lasting as long.
Learn your distances. Once you play long enough you'll understand the lunge distances of 99% of killers or how much their abilities will let them catch up/interact at tiles.
Use your speed boost after getting hit effectively! Using it to loop the same tile is a huge waste and they will catch up quick from bloodlust. Before being hit plan your next direction/tile and be prepared to go in that direction as soon as you're hit. If possible skip the first tile you come across after getting hit to avoid creating deadzones that will make endgame harder.
Never drop a pallet when you know you're going to be hit or after you get hit.
Special section for ranged killers here. They will plan on you dropping the pallet for a free hit while you're animation locked like huntress so if you see them ready a hatchet don't drop the pallet. If they're not you might be able to bait them into readying a hatchet and gain some distance by turning around at a pallet.
A killer's skill should be gauged while looping them as well. If they keep swinging too early, missing, or looping the ineffectively they may not be as good. This opens up the possibility of them falling for mindgames/tricks such as trying to spin them or faking window vaults. If they step back when they get close and you're on a pallet during a loop you should remember that and next time purposely stop behind a pallet to try gaining another loop out of them.
Learning how to play killer can help drastically as well since you can read into what they're thinking in most situations.
-
Well if they add MMR then you should have competent teammates at your level and a killer at your level making the game at least possible.
-

I’m so glad most of the replies are shitting on this guy lmao
I don't think they mean art style or anything and comparing it with cosmetics is dumb. FNAF won't be in the game for the same reason xenomorphs aren't in the game. There is almost no way to make their abilities/powers fit into DBD without throwing out the average design of the killers.
-
Ignoring the top 1% of players opinions on balance changes and instead letting someone who is rank 20 on killer and survivor do it.
-
The only way to spot them is have a friend run the same spot in KYF and see if your friend is way further behind them. The thing is though most will speedhack when losing LOS so they can maybe get an extra few steps each LOS blocker and you will almost never catch up. If they're in the open though and somehow faster than the killer or you don't gain any distance on them just running in a straight line they're cheating.
-
I think they are reluctant to buff trapper since a lot of people find him "boring" to play against because they don't have any eyes or knowledge of trapper spots. They don't want to have people complaining about an "unfun" killer.

Probably could have gotten a hit way earlier if you actually took the loop tighter

Let's speculate on who it could be:
My first candidate would be the Twins and here's why:
Back in early July, a Hotfix came out that changed some of The Twins' add-on descriptions:
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/3VV29GDF0M82/image.png
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/YWG09AS18F46/image.png
(btw the add-ons descripted as "OLD" and "NEW" are the other way around)
At first, many people including @ManWithALemon thought this was a shadow-nerf to The Twins, as the developers didn't announce anything regarding changes to The Twins and these add-ons, especially the 'Drop of perfume' add-on which serves no purpose to The Twins.
However after deeper research, @ManWithALemon concluded that this must be another case of Clown's party bottle add-on leak which hinted at his rework. From the wording of these add-ons and how useless they are, it's theorised that we could be seeing some Artifical Intelligence (similar to The Nemesis' zombies) added to Victor.
My second/third likely candidates are Pig and Myers:
Earlier on I commented on @bedlord's post stating that Pig and Myers were expected to receive an add-on pass in the future:
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/7UVTXQ868UVY/image.png
Although Pig's power may remain the same, Myers's power may get some changes.
There is no way they really believe pig is that good of a killer. Her terror radius was unfairly increased and her ambush grunts are awful. Wraith does her entire gig better with more utility

Correct. They've been saying since way back in the original announcement in early 2020 that not only would ranks be hidden with the SBMM system, but that they were not going to be showing anyone their MMR nor tell anything about how it's calculated so that people couldn't abuse it.
Never mind, of course, that any MMR system can be abused simply by throwing matches and letting one's rating drop. And even if they try to monitor for that as Blizzard claims to do in Overwatch, it isn't hard to do "just enough" to look legit yet enough to also lose and drop.
But yeah, they've been stating that it would be hidden with no info on how it's calculated coming to us from the very beginning.
It's going to be like cod's then I bet. It's an engagement based match making system that encourages you to keep playing by having easy matches followed by harder ones until you do so bad you're put back into easy games. It's all to sell cosmetics which dbd is starting to have a decent bit of hmmm. We can only pray it's much more lenient

BT is his weakest perk just sayin
BT is weaker than Left Behind? BT gets more value than Unbreakable easily especially in solo queue.
-
Devs have already stated that stretched res is an exploit since it also increases fov for some reason. It will be fixed eventually.
-
There are maybe 2 devs that actually play the game and understand how it works. Their main balancing guy is insane. For reference he said old Object of Obsession was not seeing high pickrates/winrates so it wasn't overpowered. He doesn't even understand the statistics he uses when 1 person in a swf is all you need and OOB users were getting tunneled out of the game so fast.
Another example was when a dev went to south korea to play against really good players early in the games life as hag and they were insta blinding him and bullying him to death. Soon after insta blinds removed and hag buffed a lot hmmmm.
-
Literally the most boring killer to go against in a 1v1. At any short loop you die in 0.0001 seconds if they can aim and on longer ones it's just he loops around the corner gets a 2-3 knives and then this repeats until you're injured and hopefully get to another loop. He sucks in the 1v4, but is annoying in the 1v1 and needs reworked in some way.
-
I really can't see how any fnaf character would work in DBD. It's the same reason the xenomorph hasn't been added since its abilities would be hard to implement into the style of dbd.

I preform with wraith very well even without those add ons
Same, I don't run them so I can get better mobility and attack quicker out of cloak. The silent bell is mostly useless against spinechill users and I normally run bbq and nurses and it gives enough info to not need it.
-
This is a very bad thing. I find it suspicious they're hiding ranks making it impossible to even understand how the SBMM is working. Going to be another cod style SBMM I bet where the devs don't even tell you how it works or what is factored.
-
@PsychoTron said:

we're not talking about silent bell; we're talking about all seeing blood. silent bell is fine. all seeing blood is not fine.
also AFAIK, windstorm does not affect your lunge distance since windstorm speed increase is only while in cloak.
during uncloak process he is slowed down to 40%, then when he is uncloaked he accelerates back to his normal 115% speed.
I thought I saw a video on this being tested, but maybe it was just very old. I personally don't use all-seeing and don't think it's that insane for an iri addon, but it could maybe use a nerf so it only works when people are moving?
-
Silent bell is not even that insane and honestly loses out on the pressure of bone clapper which can force multiple people off a gen even if you're not going after them. Wraith already has a nearly guaranteed first hit if someone is even slightly out of position since they can be body blocked and on unsafe loops since he just lunges around them completely. His windstorm and reappearance addons are way more valuable since windstorm affects the lunge distance and reappearance time let's you reduce any distance they gain during uncloak. If you have this much trouble with silent bell just run spine chill. It's a very good perk against stealth and non stealth killers and has lots of uses.
-
Her power is very weak and underwhelming. Wraith uncloak basically does her power better and he gets sweat mobility w/ fun addons. Also any m1 perks (sloppy etc) always get value.

My options with that photo right now could be an animatronic, Legion's rabbit cosmetic, Huntress, or a rock with a crow. It is a mind game.
Now that I think about it... It 90% is a crow since the area below is obviously grey like all the other rocks and the crow is pitch black and it shows. rip
-
They need to rework iri head. It's now her most useless addon since you can only down one survivor before needing to reload and if you miss you lose so much pressure.
-
It looks like a bunny tbh. Leaning towards clown's cosmetic if anything
-
@justbecause said:
I mean it's very powerful and survs stands no much chance against it just like stridor spirit before it's nerf
The difference between them is that spririt can play competitively very well and I've only see wraith used by otz in one scenario against a weaker team.

Having wallhax and 0 indicator of when you're uncloaking is not ok. You can literally just cloak at any tile and a down becomes braindead easy. This is not a "strong addon" its entirely unfair.
Spine chill is your friend against stealth killers and is very useful even against non stealth.
