The Knight got bugged after the last patch before the Christmas break. If something breaks during those 4 weeks, it won't be fixed until the next update. DBD has a history of some more or less hillarious bugs that were left in the game for that duration because the devs were on their deserved vacation.
Wesker got fixed super fast, because it was right before a huge event where you could farm tons of BP and because the Devs were not on vacation.

Yeah, that was what Prestige was originally developed as. a time sink for players who don't have other games to play.
But instead some players went, "Oh so you are challenging me bhvr?"
and bHVR is like: "No no really"
and then after 3 month, players ask for a reward knowing full well there never was a reward.
The fun fact is, that there wasn't one in Phasmo either. First it was just a number getting bigger and bigger, now it is 20 prestige levels that do nothing but provide you with a new ID badge, but you have to grind everything anew (like old prestige in DBD). After P20 you also only have unlimited levels.
What I want to say is, that how similar both prestige systems are and yet the devs are handling it so differently.
-
It is also very interesting how Phasmophobia is going to add prestige rewards which are cosmetics (they don't have any monetization btw), but BHVR thinks it's FOMO....
right...

Killers limited to kicking gens and all these changes to nerf regression stuff is wild.
Especially looking at survivor where you can be hit by virtually anything, any type of weapon/injury and magically heal infinitely while running infinitely. Can we open our eyes please? Some of the matches that last forever is because the killer is keeping pressure on the god survivor mode players, which is their only job, now that gets nicked because survivors can't use logic to outsmart and get the last gen out of the 3.
This really sounds like changes based on outcry and not practicality at all. When is the hand holding gonna stop? Killer doesn't get it that's for sure. Unless you're against bots.
How about you don't beeline for any 3gen on the map and don't leave? How about not relying on 4 slowdown perks?

Wasnt the p100 update released like.. almost 1.5yrs ago? I mean ppl that play regularly probably have at least 1 p100. It really doesnt indicate skill, trust me.
Yap. It was added in the midchapter after the 6th anniversary, July 2022.
I managed 30+ prestige levels during last year's anniversary event. And I know that others accomplished way more. So people who don't need to unlock everything first like new players have to, can very well have at least 1 P100 unless they rather level up all characters evenly like a friend of mine. Her main is P25, but all other survivors as well as the Killer's she owns are P11. She has almost 4k hrs.

I have 4 p100s and soon 5, I don't sweat at all either. I just play for fun and laughs. Not all of us are sweaty and toxic. :)
Most of my other games (mmo) I am very into, and I do hardcore end game content, but this game is my escape for that.
I want to hide my prestige because it attracts killers to tunnel me, they admit it in the end game chat. They're cruel or attempt to be cruel to me. I always bring an anniversary cake too, and the thanks I get is tunneled out asap. Only focused on me.
Either that or survivors who complain why you were not looping the killer for 5gens.
Or people who say you got no life.

I'm not here to sweat every game. I'm going to skip p100 lobbies because I really don't want to deal with it
"P100 doesn't mean they're good"
And I really don't care to test it. I don't use perks or add-ons on an m1 killer, I just want to vibe. I don't care about kills, but I don't want to get tbagged at every loop because someone thinks their using every pallet in the map is good gameplay
I still have 7k hrs of experience, P100 or P3. I don't care who I play and you should neither.

Idk....
The also did Chris dirty. He is the only main RE character who is a legendary. I think he is a victim to the Devs not knowing about a 2nd RE chapter when he was released. It would have been so much more logical to have him release alongside Wesker.
-
They already said that legacy won't come back.
But I would enjoy this effect as a P100 reward, as you could still choose a cosmetic you like and are not bound to the OG ones:
Of course it needs to be invisible in the lobby if they are going to hide prestige.
It is less work than creating individual cosmetics for every character and it's already in the game. It is also fitting lore wise and is compatible with all killer powers which add an effect to the models (Nemy, Wesker, Onryo and Plague).

In the recent mmr changes, BHVR removed the soft cap and set the hard cap to 2100 mmr (down from 3000). 2100 mmr is too low. I'm getting baby survivors in most of the matches I play. Almost none of my matches are challenging, and I'm winning every match. Re-add the mmr soft cap.
If you think it's too ez then play Trapper without using his traps, without perks and addons. That should help.

From the jump I've used this perk as a solo survivor mainly to gain information that helps me assist my team, and in the past I have said the perk was good with responses from people saying it's too niche or can be burned fast or that the perk is not really all that useful.
Well now that ultimate weapon is a thing and friends till the end and basically all the aura reading perks work well with one another and tracking perks are being stacked on one another people want this perk nerfed? Because the way I see it survivors are just reacting to the obnoxious amount of aura reading in the game, and since solo survivors are lagging behind and the game is balanced around SWF communication now either more needs to come in to close the gap between solo and SWF or just let people have at least something to use as solo players.
I have another idea to create a true alternative to Distortion.
A perk which gives you the same information, but does not hide you, instead it shows you the killer giving you an opportunity to react accordingly: Object of Obsession.
The perk is actually quite good, if you know how to use it. But almost nobody uses it because it gives you a disadvantage: it reveals your aura every 30s, which can kill you if you don't want to be seen (f.e. if you are waiting for a FL save or if you are the last survivor). If that would be changed to a cooldown so that you can control when you are revealed, it would be a nice alternative.
-
@Krazzik said:
As I've said in other threads, I do think it's needs to be a little slower to regain stacks. As it currently stands you almost never actually run out of stacks, even against a killer using multiple aura reading perks/addons.
It defeats the point in even having stacks when it's basically just a permanent buff in nearly every game.
The only killers who can burn through stacks are those with a small TR (Myers, Huntress, Hag) or with inbuild stealth. All others have problems, especially on small maps.

What does that statement even mean?
You say that you don't care if you get tunneled.
So why do you care if piggy follows you with an active trap, effectively tunneling you? Your logic does not make sense. Either you don't care about tunneling or you do, but not by deciding from time to time.

Do you understand how hard DBD is to play as a new survivor? Windows is an information perk and nothing more, how survivors use it is up to them. Players will always blame the perks and not self assess.
The way all the maps are getting changed and additional versions added, it's even too much to remember for veterans like me. Sry, but I will not re-learn 3xColdwind Farm, 5xMacMillan or 2xRed Forest. It's hard enough to learn new layouts.

DBD players looking what perk to complain after they nerfed the last one...
If you think WoO is OP, then use Zanshin Tactics, is the equivalent for killers
The problem is that killers need all 4 perk slots to counter Gen speeds and shorten chases, while for survivor the use of WoO actually results in a benefit and not detriment.
-
@Atom7k said:
I think people underestimate how much time this perk actually steals from the killer.
The times of survivors beeing overly stealthy are gone and looping is more and more common. Therefor having a single perk that shows you EVERY RESOURCE in your reach is completly broken.
When looping a killer resources like windows and pallets are crucial to gain distance, extend the chase, burn more of the killers time and escape.
There is a meta build out of windows of opportunity, resiliance, lithe and adrenalin. This build relies almost entirely on windows of opportunity. Survivors will try to bait you in a chase because they know where the resources are.
You cannot drop every chase with a woo user and it needs an atrocious amount of time to catch one.
This being said if you don't catch a survivor in a bad position this perk alone will extend the chase for a significant amount of time. This add's up when multiple people are using this perk.
Thats why it's too strong. Time is curcial for a killer and a perk which burns time in great amounts, is active without conditions infinitely is absolutely broken
Suggestions:
- Windows of opportunity only activates when in chase
- Max range is reduced from 32 meters to 28 (20/24/28)
- Once a pallet got dropped or a window/pallet is fast vaulted the perk goes on cooldown for 8 (12/10/8) seconds.
- You gain a stack for each pallet you dropped, window/pallet you fast vaulted in chase. At 4 stacks the perk deactivates until you are out of chase for 30 seconds, then all stacks are removed.
WoO is fine, but the map layout is the problem.
WoO is also a necessity if you are playing solo or in a duo because having the information of which pallets are used and which not are essential for a good chase. Which is even more important in times when killers like to tunnel at 5 gens.

The stale gameplay of dbd right now is in an endless cycle of survivors needing to rush gens to escape before anyone is tunneled to death, and killers needing to tunnel as survivors are completing gens too fast. Each side is forcing the other in to this unfun meta right now and trying to complete their objectives as fast a possible, and there is nothing that can be done on our end as players (obviously we can't force each side to stop)
Bhvr needs to do some tweaking on both ends so games are less stale, tedious and just plain unfun.
I can't suggest what that would look like, I'm sure bhvr's experienced professional devs would be able to come up with something better than I, but adjusting the rate at which gens can be completed and significantly reducing tunneling would benefit both sides and we could get back to the more fun aspects of the game.
There has to be a significant bonus for killers not to tunnel.
Yesterday I faced a killer who tunneled me at 5 gens. They said in chat they did it "because it was done to them as well".
Please stop punishing players who did nothing to you.

This is a live service game, there's no amount of convincing that is going to remove mine or many other vanilla players opinions on cheating. If you play non vanilla, you are a cheater plain and simple and should be dealt with immediately, so we don't have to deal with any of these issues in the first place. There's no amount of spam you can type that will change anyone's mind on this issue especially after someone has encountered the said cheaters repeatedly. In the EULA it directly states that any sort of modification to the files of the game is not allowed. You have no hill to stand on and are wasting your time.
Please explain how this
lets me be better at the game.
Because it seems that, according to you, I miss some important magic happening with costumised icons if you think they are cheats.
If you can't explain, your argument is invalid.

It seems that with me being frustrated by being followed in stealth for at least 5/6 games in a row almost; multiple people trying to get their points across and making this post feel more like a chore to reply to, I have also come to realise that I somehow forgot to actually write the exact nerf clearly that I wanted fixed which should've been in the OP. That was her timer pausing while you are being chased. It's funny because I'm PRETTY SURE I DID add this in at one point but I guess describing fixes to a problem rather than explaining what the problem actually is is definitely a male trait... or someone deleted it.
I have amended the OP, hopefully it makes a lot more sense now.
@LapisInfernalis The point I was trying to make with the "TTV" comment is that the killer does not care about protecting gens to get that TTV kill. and again mate, I do not care if I get tunnelled by any killer because I have TTV in my name, I don't care if it's any killer in the game, tunnelling has been happening almost 9 months to me now, I'm used to it.
Then why do you care if piggy does so?

Had a guy who was not affected by Legions killer instinct, there are noting in the game that can block that.
The reply i had from bhvr was :
thank you for reaching out to us! We apologize for the late response, since we have been receiving a huge number of tickets recently! But we're here now, happy to look into your report.
Thank you so much for reaching out to us about this - I'm sorry that you've encountered this player potentially breaking our rules and showing behaviour that interfered with the flow of the game by avoiding detection against Killer Instinct while you were playing as The Legion. Thanks for keeping an eye out and letting us know of these situations! The descriptions of what you noticed and how you've taken care in attaching these videos and timestamps and the detailedness of your report are a great help to our investigation as well!
Rest assured we'll take a look at this and take additional action if it is needed. If an in-game report was filed, you can use the in-game Report Feedback to know if a report you made has been investigated and actioned upon!
To help you prep in case you encounter any other situations, you can find out more info on our Game Rules. This article gives you the details about what is considered bannable, the types of bans, and what to look out for! We strongly encourage the use of the in-game reporting tool and any supporting evidence you want to include when creating a support ticket, and we'll be sure to investigate anything you send us.
Again, we're really grateful for your dedication in making this game fair and enjoyable for everyone! If you run into any other issues or need help with anything else, you can reach out to us anytime.
See you in The Fog,
And all sounds nice, but i never got any confirmation of anything
If it was before they added in-game report feedback, you will never know unless the cheater was on steam.

If the reports were just dealt with, the last 2-3 reports i filled with clear video evidence had no actions taken. Im done reporting, wasting my time on a clumsy system that takes me 15-25 mins just to make 1 report. (it should not be our job in the first place).
I even bounced the videos by a couple of friends before sending them in, they both agreed that it was cheaters.
I have wasted enough time on that, ill just skip forward to the next game.

True, prioritise the popular market rather than evenly distributing across all original survivors. I think they're doing a little better now though in that regard but yeah still happens.
Because people are not dumb. They have been "hiding" the cosmetics of green rarity for ages now. Artist's green ones are prime only, Haddie's came to the shop a lot later and except Vittorio all newer characters are missing these.
Guess why....

Yes, grinding to p100 for a reward is a soul sucking experience and will destroy most people's enjoyment of the game. You do not want to incentivize people to do that more than they already are. The moment you introduce a really cool p100 reward, people will burn out trying to get it.

Lol I get tunnelled almost every game for having TTV, that's not the issue here. It's the pig timers. Everyone keeps forgetting this because she is "weak" when compared to others. In a perfect scenario there's always enough time to take off the trap, but with a little bit of resistance there just simply isn't.
Again, I think you would notice that if you would put that TTV away from your name for a week you would notice that the timer is not as bad as you think it is. Trust me. I get tunneled my fair share (P100 with almost 7k hrs, like I said).
Because the problem is tunneling and not the timer.
Some folks also say that Wesker's infection is bad because it makes tunneling easy. Same thing. Tunneling needs to be addressed, not killer powers or addons.

Did you look at their profiles? Just curious how you know their hours.
There are things to consider.
Everyone had bad days and are not on their game.
They might have a lot of hours in game but now don't play much and now a bit rusty. I find when I take time off and come back I can be very off in my games. On the same tonic some people play very casual even if they have a lot of hours. Sure you should have better knowledge at more hours but doesn't always mean you are more skilled.
Could be a new account for the killer but they are an experienced player.
It's the nature of this game. Sometime the less experienced can get the upper hand.
I can tell you, when I return home from visiting my parents for Christmas, I will be very rusty regardless of 6.8k hrs. Even if it will just be 5 days.
I also have bad days when I go down in 10s or similar, while on other days I might seem like a god (which I am not).

If you have a better idea mention it, unless you are on the side of the cheaters which I believe you are defending them. The legitimate phone number is a harsh one sure, but I don't see any other way to eradicate the cheaters other than these devs having to hire tons and tons of help which would cost way too much money, bvhr should not have to do this and its players should grow up and stop abusing the game. Look, this is a live service game and it's clear that we need a far better system then the one that we have because the cheaters/modders situation is getting worse and worse with dbd. I have had enough of us vanilla players having to play 24 times better than someone who can just easily abuse the exe without consequence. It's killing the player base and losing bvhr a lot of money. And you can easily find phone numbers on the internet or even through the govt directories so I don't see how this would pertain to any issues of danger. And already, I would rather have my phone number leaked than my ip address manipulated since you can obtain a lot more info than you ever could on that than with a phone number. So already your "dangerous" narrative that you are trying to set is quite ridiculous.
I just want the cheats gone completely, I don't care what you do with your monitor, I only care if its modded content, I want it gone forever along with those players that use it as well. You guys who keep bringing your monitors up in this discussion are just straight up dramatic and are completely missing the point. This game is straight up miserable facing cheaters because anything in dbd that is altered to your advantage brings you up by a mile over the other player (thats not even an exaggeration a literal mile) no monitor setting is going to do that in dbd. Im not doing this for likes, Im not doing this because I want recognition, I want these devs to have more and more options on how to deal with this problem without having to blow a bunch of money. And hey if it's a bad idea im sure they will catch it regardless. Because they have an amazing product here and it would be a shame for more and more players to leave it because they peaked and now constantly face cheaters. It really never had to come to any of this idea if everyone played fair, but they are not and they need to be punished from playing dbd so the actual players that spend money on the game can enjoy the game instead of being discouraged from it.
No you just want it because you think you are entitled to.
That does not mean, that you are right with your statement (which you are not).
How does changing icons in the UI make me play better? (Hint: it does not). Those are just png which do nothing to the exe. They are files you can access by just opening the game's folder. If you don't know how tools like Nightlight work, you should Google it before you make assumptions about it. Oh and btw: you can also copy the png files to the folders without tools, but it takes longer.
You say changing monitor settings are fine, but I can do the same with AMD adrenaline (my GPU driver), which just applies the settings when it detects me playing DBD, which just adds QOL for me (I do not neet to revert monitor settings after playing). It does not change the exe. This is cheating in your opinion (which it is not according to the devs).
I do not support true cheaters (speed hackers, lag switchers, teleports etc) at all, btw. But your definition of "cheats" is so ridiculous. Not to mention your "methods" which will "cure" dbd from said cheaters. You might be fine in giving up your phone number, but I bet a large majority is not. Not to mention that doing so probably violates a lot of laws like EU privacy laws. Maybe you don't care in the US, but you are not the world.
I get the impression you are on one hand ignorant and on the other hand envious that PC players can do simple costumisation to the game like icons while you are stuck with vanilla dbd.
If it's the first reason, then do yourself and us a favor and consult Google. If it's the latter: maybe advocate for more costumisation options instead instead of hating and framing those who use these legally.

He even said that the Blight played not very good, but tunneling players out one by one was enough to beat far better players. I agree with that tbh. Tunneling and creating an early 3v1 is not exactly skillfull. Everyone, even bad killers can win a 3v1 against strong opponents.

My last match as Wesker on supposed high MMR i guess (dont know 100% but my stats with him are like 30/0/2) was against a team that had combined not even the hours i have. They ended up all dead at 4 gens left, while me playing super fair and 3 hook everyone. I dont think matchmaking is pairing equaly skilled players together very well.
Sometimes survivors are just overwhelmed. I am just an average killer (I play more survivor nowadays), but sometimes I stomp survivors as my Main Wesker or Onryo while playing fair and not using all slowdown.
-
Maybe it's a smurf account. You never know.
Hints are:
Low activity on steam, few hrs but all level and grade achievements done in a very short time frame (suggesting they know how to play).

Yes I saved it up.
I got it now but I hate master stun challenges, because it depends on the type of killer if you can do it or not. It's easy against M1 killers (Trapper, Myers) but most M2 or hybrid killers (Nurse, Bubba, Blight) are very bad for this.

Deadlock is a perk that any time a gen is finished, the gen with the most progress is blocked for 30 seconds
It's a simple perk and functional but hear me out, this perk has 0 skill to use, because it's very simple, you have to do nothing to get it's value, you can go afk and you would still gain it's value
Another fact is, every killer that uses deadlock just hard tunnel because they have more time doing it because of deadlock, survivors are punished for doing the objective, and imo this is not okay
I suggest put a token system in this perk, like No way out, my nerf would be like
Deadlock blocks the gen with the most progress for 10 seconds, however, any time you hook a survivor for the first time, gains a token, each token increases the block duration for 5 seconds (This is tier 3 btw)
This perk would basically be the same, but having a skill requirement would be the best ideia to balance this perk!
The perk helps against Genrush. If you need 4 unique hooks before it has the current strength, you incentivise to tunnel more, as killers have less time to chase for long. With your idea the perk would be strong when the team is already struggling, and weak when it is needed most, which is not good design.

Wouldn't this be recycling the problem, with the added issue of asking BHVR to invest a bunch of time in creating badge art for every character? Half the point of adding badges and removing the prestige from the lobby was because people were lobby-dodging P100s.
One of the co-ordinators said in another post that they are working on giving every character a badge+banner set like that of Chucky retroactively. And that we will probably get this sometime next year.
It doesn't matter if you see a P100 after the match. Badges and banners are not visible in the pre-game lobby, so dodging is not an issue.

I had a similar idea but just with charms you unlock. I used the P25/P50/P75/P100 icons for this. The charm is always the same one, but only unlocks on characters with the fitting Prestiges.

Of course with badges/cards, it's the player's choice whether to to display them or not. That's a key difference.
I think they need to reward P100 with some sort of customization option, be it cosmetic(s) or badges/cards. And I suspect they will, eventually.
I think so too. I still hope for the void effect, just because it fits lore wise, and is usable with all killer powers. It is cool visually, is something players can use to show off, but it is not a full cosmetic.
But I think if they use this effect it would probably be an animated banner.

It resets 11am EST every day.
So in EU it is usually anywhere from 4pm to 7pm.
-
If we are lucky, they can fix it. If we are not, it will become a feature like Hug-tech.

Filters are not cheating. They dont provide any information that isnt already in the game. If making colors look different is cheating, is SWF cheating too? After all you are using a 3rd party program that grants a competitive advantage. I wouldn't agree with that but the logic is sound.
Don't bother. That Troll will just say "cheat" to anything that is not in the game, even if it literally does nothing (like custom icons).

this entire half of blood lodge had 1 gen
Blood Lodge is notorious for at least one 3gen (if not a 4 or 5 Gen) at shack.

@Callahan9116 said:
What is the proposed 3 gen solution? Getting 3 gen'd is 100% a skill issue that comes from lack of planning, it would be absurd to punish killers for planning out well the mid game when survivors can get rewarded for a lack of planning.
You say that until you notice games when killers load in and instantly prepare the 3gen. Without a coordinated or competent team you often have little you can do.

I would not even say it is unsportsmanlike because everyone can use it? I mean sure if you are a console player using old hardware you probably cannot, but potentially you can... That's good enough I guess. And let's be honest for a second being able to hide in plain side just because the game does not offer brightness or similar graphics option as base cannot be really considered part of the gameplay anyway... Stealth is fine and all if you are cleverly hiding behind cover, but it should not be like Garden of Joy mainbuilding for the first few months.
The GoJ main was so bad. It was afaik only dark on ultra settings (which I use) but every killer who played on low could see you.

reported a lot of cheaters. BHVR banned only that one with teleport who finished the game in 5 minutes. In other cases "you didn't provide video" (which I have no possibility to record)
This is why i am one of the advocates for a replay/recording function even with me being one of the lucky ones who can record.

Ultimate weapon has already been complained about, that's apart of the issue but not the main issue. It's her trap timer.
Being TTV increases your chances of getting tunnelled exponentially.
You might not want to hear this but if you put TTV in your name you need to accept that some idiots will target you to feel better. (I don't think it's OK, but what can you do about these idiots)
I don't stream, but having almost 7k hrs combined with a P100 makes you an automatic target.
This is a completely different topic and still no need to nerf her timer. The killer player would still tunnel you without them playing pig, if they really wanted to.
Yes it is not fun if you can't to anything in a match besides solving boxes, but these are edge cases. At least in my games.

I want you to understand the following:
- These scenarios always happen in SoloQ so I want you to understand that there is zero communication when going for a trap removal box in any given area
- I also do not generally fail skill checks
- Just because you did not understand my reasoning behind how I explained something, that does not instantly make something factually wrong. I assumed the majority on the forums would be experienced players with hundreds, if not thousands of hours, so at times I do not feel the need to paraphrase
A pig can see:
- 5 Trap boxes
- When a survivors trap is active because of the survivors banner Aura turning RED from white
Now as a killer what would you do next? you'd keep a mental time memory of the trap activating it for later. The killer would then play the game like normal.
The survivor on the other hand has the following constraints:
- Has to remove the trap in a very tight timeframe and reach all 5 boxes if RNG is not on their side
- Usually by this point a gen is almost done and will be popped just as a trap is placed on your head after prolonging a chase as long as you can, depending on how bad the loops in an area are, so you haven't got any trap boxes done yet but your trap timer has instantly become active
- Experienced Pig killer mains clearly understand the trap is oppressive so they'd add major delay addons to trap removal (can be up to 16s per box)
- Has to traverse the map in general, avoiding the killer as best as they can
I said:
""Pig speed does not make a difference when in stealth because your timer is still continuing" and then follow it with "She can let the timer continue by following you in stealth while still chasing you". "
In other words:
- Your destination is known because the pig can see box trap auras
- A pig in stealth can still follow you without pausing the trap timer cooldown, you have no choice but to go to that trap removal box in that area because of bad RNG, both trap removal locations being so close together on some maps (for reference, yes I know there are 5 trap removal boxes), as well as lack of trap time and a heavily increased delay in general from trap box addons, and the obvious killers' memory from earlier knowing your trap has been active for a while now
- The killer usually switches to you when she see's you, again the oppressive trap timer forces you to act hastily and go directly to the trap removal box (if you delay this she will purposely just stalk you in stealth regardless of slowdown speed because she knows where the trap removal auras are and if you're in that area with an active trap it's obvious you're heading there)
- She can wait at the box and count down the trap removal timer (with her addon extensions and lets use the 16s as an example) while you're trying to remove it and knock you off it before the 16s have elapsed, you have no time to delay and if you're still in the trap removal animation it will still blow your head off
- I'm also not talking about crouch following you around the entire map obviously, she can walk at a certain range before it becomes a chase and then she enters stealth when within chase distance
This can be seen as tunnelling but it can also be seen as a design exploit.
The Pig is weak at the moment when compared to other killers so that would naturally assume only experienced killers would play as the pig. This would also assume that they know exact trap removal timers with their chosen addons like the back of their hand. I am also not talking about a scenario of them finding you randomly on a box and waiting it out to hit you, I am talking about a scenario of you being forced onto the trap removal box while they are still stealth chasing you and you're unable to lose them because of time constraints, trap removal auras being shown to the killer (this is what I mean by they know your location) and they are behind you in stealth with no punishment while your timer still ticks away.
Now you would ask:
- So why wouldn't you lose them first?
My reply would be, "How? Time constraints". With addons trap removal timers can take up to 16 seconds as someone stated in this post, more than enough time for a pig to run/stealth to you on a trap removal box, hook you once and then come back a second time once you've been unhooked and knock you once for a guaranteed kill. And thus the reoccurring, repeating dilemma we have in this post.
@UndeddJester Usually SoloQ teammates unhook you asap, finish gens without caring about inactive traps. The killer tunnelling me would just destroy me even faster due to it as he's not even left the area or purposely proxy camping in general. I haven't used plot twist much but I'll give it a go. In a SWF this wouldn't have been as much of an oppressive issue but in SoloQ it's so bad.
@LapisInfernalis 240s sounds good in theory but practically, the last 60 seconds is what screws you over when there's screaming perks, extension addons that purposely interrupt you and then the killer coming to you at least once and forcing you away from that trap removal location. That is usually more than enough to delay the trap on your head to blow up. The killer is usually happy to throw the game to get that TTV kill.
Then please complain about Ultimate Weapon (or screaming perks in general), not about Piggy.
Toxic players are everywhere. It does not need to be a TTV.

It's a challenge. A challenge. It's in the final level of the tome and it's skippable. DBDers will complain about anything.
The whole point of the challenges is to try something you don't normally do.
Learning how to use a flashlight is a good thing and also makes the game more fun.
My friend tried it in 50 matches (most of them Chucky) until he we got a nurse who let him do it. He was so frustrated over the last days and chat was not helping either. "Why are you so bad?" or "Why do you not do gens? You're worse than a Bot."
Even a lvl 4 challenge should not take more than 5 matches on survivor side. It is bad enough that killers can ruin your challenge by using Lightborn or looking at walls.

Yes, perhaps they should bring back the "finish 15 generators" challenge. That one was much more fun than interacting with the killer.
Seriously, man. I got it in one game, it isn't that hard. At worst it'll be like three or four games before you get it.
Utilize map offerings and if you really have to, partner up with someone else.
I also got it in 1 match because I have tons of experience. I can easily leave my comfort zone of perks I usually use but many people can't do that. My friend felt so uncomfortable without his usual perks as he likes to be stealthy. He needed about 50 matches to do this and he only got it because the killer let him.

How are trying to get flashlight saves sabotaging the match? Would you prefer the challenges were all just spend an increasing amount of time playing DBD? You played DBD for 12 minutes, have a cookie! You played DBD for 26 minutes, have another cookie!
95% of the challenges take zero effort. Can't we have a few that are actually a challenge?
If the challenges were activated all at once, so you could just play the game and then do it if the opportunity arises, it would be fine, but not like it currently is.

"blind the killer to make him drop a survivor, TWICE in the same match"?? The only people who do that are the absolute worst of the worst jerks in Survive-With-Chat.
Don't reward those jerks with a tome challenge only they can do.
Not true. Did this solo in 1 match and I am not someone who makes a living out of bullying killers with FLs. I just have almost 7k hrs of experience and got a bit lucky with the killer (although Midwich and Starstruck did not mskr it easy).
It is true that many players who are not using FLs much or have a more cautious playstyle struggle with this. I have 2 friends I like to play with who never use FLs besides for quests. One of them had to try maybe 50 times ( almost only chucky matches) until finally a Nurse let him do it. My other friend still has to do it and she also doesn't use FLs regularly.
