As I recall the devs explicitly said in one of their dev chats that they don’t just look at kill rate and used Nurse as an example of why.
What they say frequently does not correlate to what they actually do. In reality, Nurse got a huge addon buff with Torn Bookmark, while killers like Cenobite, Wraith and Freddy received significant nerfs with no justification other than the devs saying they were "overperforming".
-
Seeing Deathslinger so unpopular like that hurts, man...
Really interesting stats btw, thanks for sharing. I have a similar experience to you as well on solo/duo SWF.
-
I'd like to at least have the stats post MMR. The latest stats we received like you mentioned were only from July to September, and that included 2 months of the old Rank system and 1 month of MMR. So while kill rates stats are really not that reliable, the ones they showed us are even worse due to mixing both.
-
The thing about ranged killers is that pallets and windows are already naturally weaker against them. Making them break pallets with their powers would be kind of busted imo. Just look how good Nemesis is at zoning with his tentacle, and it only has 6m of range.
-
Basically anyone that isn't Nurse, Blight, Bubba or Huntress. These 4 alone are like 80% of the killers I face and then the other 22 share the small 20% pool.

It is ridiculous to complain about a bad map for a Killer who can take on almost every Survivor they face.
You probably just read the title, but he does talk about other killers in his post. He even mentioned how Trapper, probably the weakest killer in the game, wasn't even taken into consideration on the most recent map.
-
Well, they did give her a 3 blink addon. I can unironically see BHVR buffing Nurse's basekit soon solely based on kill rate, just like they nerfed Pinhead and Wraith.

Farming is more entertaining than playing on RPD tbh.
Yup, the entire gameplay consists of holding W through infinite corridors. At least by farming I get to interact more with the survivors.
-
Whenever I get this map as killer I just farm with the survivors and let them have a 4 out. There's no reason to actually try on that map.
-
What's the point of this video? It basically just shows how unpleasant you and your friends are to play against and why these mechanics were changed in the first place. I'd be kind of ashamed to post something like that tbh.
-
Tiles are already able to be linked. Unless you're on a map like Shelter Woods or Wretched Shop, there's always enough time for you to get to another tile. You're suggesting something that already is in the game.
Unless you are talking about making every map like Cowshed or old Ormond, to which my answer is a big NO.
-
This year was great for killer perks. Every DLC had very solid ones. Starstruck, No Way Out, Lethal Pursuer, Deadlock, Plaything, Pentimento and Pain Resonance are all very solid.
-
People would start blocking players who they lose to until they get constantly matched with babies. No.
-
The only change I feel he needs is so that survivors aren't able to hear everything he does from anywhere in the map. Teleporting, hitting, get stunned, etc. Set the TP sound to 32m and everything else just make it a normal sound.
-
Freddy is the only killer that can teleport on top of survivors' objective without needing to setup and he has very good synergy with slowdown perks. You can't brute force gens against him, you need to actually last a good chunk in chase to give your team time to push them. This means the average survivor struggles a lot because they can't last enough in chase, but he falls apart against good players because he has nothing to down them aside from a very mediocre chase power.
-
Because you shouldn't be able to progress the game while the killer is on top of you. I don't even know how is this even a question. If anything they should be triggered whenever the animation starts because that moment when survivors keep baiting the unhook looks goofy.
-
I still play killer but less and less everyday since MMR. Used to play 10-15 games a day and now it's hard for me to even go above 3. It's not even because I'm winning less, I'd say I'm winning actually more now than I was when MMR turned on, but I heavily dislike how every match feels like one side is getting stomped. It seems I either get 4 equally skilled survivors (which means I'm probably going to lose because that's how the game goes) or 2 very good ones paired 2 babies, which means I'm probably going to win.
Gotta say that Boons are the most boring mechanic ever added into this game as well. There's nothing more frustrating than hearing those 3 loud thunders after 30 seconds. It also doesn't help how boring it is snuffing them over and over again. COH is the the most unhealthy perk added since OG MoM.
Props also to the horrible map design this game has. DBD has only a few handful of actually good maps: Coal Tower, Ironworks of Misery, Wrecker's Yard, Blood Lodge, Rancid Abbatoir, Thompson House, Torment Creek, Father Campbell's Chapel, and Temple of Purgation. That's only 9 out of THIRTY-SEVEN maps, this means more than 75% of the maps in this game range from either mediocre designed to actually DISGUSTING to play on, with special mention to Badham, Cowshed, Haddonfield, RPD and The Game, maps which are very unlikely to have any fun as killer. Seriously, whatever team is responsible for the map design needs to get their ######### up and actually learn something from the good maps they have. Players only care about aesthetic for the very few first games, after that nobody cares about that safe room music that plays on RPD because the map is still unfun as hell to play on. Also another tip: NOBODY LIKES BREAKABLE WALLS.
-
I think it's the best killer perk at the moment. It's usually the difference between losing 2 gens at your first down or not losing any (unless RNG screws you). There's a reason people run it on basically every tournament match.
-
Ok? Cool story I guess.
-
It amazes me how much you guys complain about a B tier killer. Keep it up, these always give me good laughs.
-
I don't get bothered by how people play, that's entitled behaviour.
-
That's like complaining what's the point of DS because you keep missing the skill check.
-
It says on the description Ringu is going to be chapter 23, and we just had the 22th.

Most effective playstyle at high levels is to shoot where you last saw the survivor and where you think they’ll be at high level. Similar to Nurse.
And that's when you use LOS breakers.

Not everyone in the game runs Dead Hard, contrary to popular belief.
LOS breaking isn’t always applicable and is also irrelevant?
How is breaking LOS irrelevant? Since when are maps flat terrains with no structures?
-
The original is better though. The American version ruined the atmosphere imo.
-
The best thing is that they somehow managed to get the rights of the original Japanese story, instead of that garbage American adaptation. I'm hyped.
-
Survivor: Windows of Opportunity. It's the 2nd best perk for solo queue after Kindred. People still call it a newbie perk, but no way in hell you can know which pallets the Meghead dropped on her first chase. It also helps dealing with RNG-heavy maps like Azarov's.
Killer: Monitor and Abuse. It's one of the best perks to counter "holding W". It reduces your TR area from 3215m² to 1808m², so almost a 50% reduction, which is huge imo (that on 32m TR killers, it is actually more significant on 24m ones and Myers). Survivors start running later and on some killers you can even get free hits. It also has a very nice synergy with killers with custom TR (Demo, Oni, Slinger, Nemesis, Pyramid, etc) because most of them have very subtle songs. The increased TR in chase also helps in scaring survivors off gens and it pairs well with Infectious Fright.
-
They need a total rework unfortunately. The concept is interesting but the execution simply doesn't work. They could use some buffs but it doesn't change that playing against them on solo is still miserable.
-
I've been using Iri Coin during this event and it's hilarious the amount of free downs I've got from these snowmen.
-
I don't even know how people play Billy nowadays while Blight exists. Even old Billy before the rework pales in comparison to Blight (both in fun and strength), imagine the version we have with joke addons, bugged FOV and annoying roar. There's nothing that Billy does that Blight doesn't do better, so the only reason I can think of is if you for some reason like instadowns.
-
I haven't seen a Demogorgon since he left the game :(
-
You can 100% use your power around hooks which don't have anyone on, otherwise her power would be useless.
She's very solid, easily a top 10 killer.
-
The Severed Tongue is insanely underrated, love that addon. Even then these addons kind of pale in comparison to the Festering Carrion and the Thick Jar, wish they would make some part of them basekit so running other addons is more appealing.

Thats what I fear that he will remain in the dumpster for years which saddens me greatly I feel so bad for Billy players and now my main has been hit by the nerfs sledgehammer :(
Feel bad for you guys who main him. He was like my 5th or 4th most played killer and even then I felt incredibly disappointed at the devs for the nerfs, can't imagine it for people who put hundreds of hours on him.
-
I think the majority of the community agrees the nerf was too harsh. Wouldn't put my money on them giving anything back though. Just look the failure that was the Billy rework and how the best compensation they could give after more than a year later was giving him some mediocre addons that no one is going to use.
-
There are worse. It reminds me a bit of Temple of Purgation: it favors survivors, but at least it's not bad to play on compared to Haddonfield, Badham, Cowshed, etc.
-
The setup is indeed quite strong, especially for a M1 killer like Ghostface. You did loop it wrong though, but even then the best you could have done was to get rid of those pallets sooner.

I never considered her s tier. S tier killers usually have the whole toolkit (meaning most or all strats can be countered by them) Hag does not fit that bill. Yes if you are a Hag master your very strong but its like that for a lot of killers. Solo q stomper? That can be anyone 😄
Yeah, basically every killer is a "solo queue stomper", but Hag is probably the best killer in exploiting solo queue biggest weakness (lack of coordination).
-
A lot of people consider her S tier because she's a solo queue stomper, which is fair considering most teams you'll face are solos. Just a bit of coordination ruins her.
-
Still haven't done it, but try Midwich offering with Distressing and both Blast cooldown addons.
-
What exploits and cheats? J flicks were patched and even when they were a thing I never saw it as any different than survivors who use high DPI to do insane spins. Lagflicks were also patched and imo people who did it should have been banned, but even then very few people actually did those. Everything else is basekit Blight.
-
Never had a fun match against Hag.

Meh, it looks like another Dark Souls or Demon Souls thing...never really liked or wanted to play those kind of games
Well, that's the best part. You're free to not like the games, but I don't think anyone here would disagree From Software makes a certain Canadian game company look like newbies when it comes to game design.
-
I'm more afraid that I will not be able to come back to DBD when Elden Ring comes out. Still shaking from that CGI.
-
Imagine thinking BHVR even cares about Twins lmfao

To be honest the event is kind of lame for killers. Survivors can get in snowmen mess around and the killer just got something else to m1. I wish they would of put a little more effort for the killer side.
I agree there should have been something for killers as well, but I'm having a lot of fun watching survivors doing dumb things on those snowmen.

Obviously duh it's not even 12 hours since the event started. Wait for a few days when everybody got their cosmetics and people are just going to use it for advantages.
This event is until 23rd by the way.
Well, you can always take a break until then. Considering how bothered you are by a simple event, it would probably do you good.
-
Blood Warden it's just a fun perk. As you said yourself, the only purpose of it is getting those BW compilations. I don't think anyone genuily runs it thinking it's a strong perk.
Agree on Ruin being overrated. It's only decent if you make a full build around it with Undying, Haunted and Thrill.
-
Sheesh dude. Most of my matches since the event started have been filled with people messing around with the snowmen instead of doing gens. I have yet to see someone like "I'm going to run into this snowman to dodge this stupid killer". If you're that bothered by it, the event lasts only 2 weeks, you can take a nice break during this period.
