Chill dude. In a lot of my matches people have been neglecting gens to search for those Snowmen, if anything it's a good time to play killer.
-
LORE ACCURATE NEMESIS
-
The game is fun when you win by your actual skills. As killer, downing survivors fast and getting pressure feels fun. As survivor, it feels fun to loop the killer and getting efficient saves.
On the other hand, having to tunnel and camp because survivors are too efficient and barely engage in chases feels incredibly unfun, or having to hold M1 on gens for 5 minutes because the killer wants to get rid of a single person asap.
-
I play a ton of Spirit, I'm just not playing DBD at all lately.

I play on BR servers also and finding a green ping one its like finding Wally.. You must be lucky or something. This happens to all the people i know that play DBD not only me, thats why i know its not my internet.
I could only play 3 games in 2 hours with reasonable ping 40-60.. Most lobbys are yellow with 180+.
Idk then. I don't live THAT close to the servers (I think they are on Sao Paulo), yet my ping is always 40-80.
-
Where are you on? I play on SA (Brazil) and my ping is always green.
-
I love Silent Hill (it's my favorite horror game) and from time to time I play nothing but Cheryl and Pyramid with their perks + Midwich offering even though I got their adepts a long while ago.

Well, play surv if playing killer is stressful for you. Or if you want to win more, get better
Nah, survivors are the ones who should get better instead of having wins cattered to them.

Even a chimpanzee has enough brain cells to know not to compare a game like dead by daylight to among us lol. Among us works in a completely different way and you don’t get to choose the role you get. If you can’t see the huge difference in that then no wonder you don’t understand why the game needs balance.
Also survivor queues are instant for 70% of the day and it’s 3-4 minutes in peak time. It’s even quicker on US servers
Funny how you talk about "online PvP games" on your first response then when I use them you're now saying DBD can't be compared to them. Which is it?
Survivor queues are faster during the day because most people aren't even playing. Casual players go to work/college/school during the day and play at night. Guess which queues are faster at this time?
-
I'd be fine with Pentimento if we could at least Rekindle the Boons. It's just stupid how Totems are supposed to be "Killer's belongings" but survivors are the ones who seem to own them now.
-
The problem is that exposed perks are very situational in general. The only consistent one I'd say is NOED. Haunted is 2nd place but you need a build around it with Undying and Devour, and even then in the boon meta running hexes is incredible risky.
Starstruck and MYC are good on like 2 killers respectively. Dragon's Grip, Iron Maiden and Rancor are trash.
-
They would have to make the cooldown on her power way shorter then.

It looks like you’re the one struggling to either read or understand, please try again.
I'll explaint it so even a chimpanzee can understand. Assymetrical games by default have a role which is harder and requires more work to do well, in the case of DBD it's killer. It makes no sense to balance around 50/50 because this means that the easiest side is getting the same result as the hardest while putting way less effort. The role which you play alone and have to actually put more effort should by default have a higher win rate in assymetrical games. Among Us has a way bigger Imposter win rate, while Evolve had a 50/50 win rate, guess which one died and which one is still a huge success?
Survivor is already the less stressful role which also has the advantage of being able to be played with friends, if you also make it have the same results as killer, there's no real incentive to be playing killer, which is harder and can't be played with friends.
The latest stats revealed that the kill rate dropped from 68% to 53%, at the same time people start complaining even more that survivor queues have been longer during peak hours. Why do you think that's the case? Or you're one of those that believe "mMr iS jUsT bUgGeD?"
-
As long as Dead Hard exists, every exhaustion perk is going to be power creeped by it. You'd need something stupidly broken to make DH out of the meta.

Dude I have that bug too! Total crash to dashboard... Sucks cause I totally wanna play those games out.
Really strange indeed, no idea how this bug remained for so long in the game.

Balancing around 50% is expected of online multiplayer pvp games, if you expect to win all the time then single player games are the one for you
Did you even read what OP and me wrote?
-
As long as my killer queues are instant no way in hell I'm playing against 4 of the same characters xd. My game also has a strange bug of crashing whenever someone uses a Haddonfield or Badham offering.
-
Balancing around 50% is something you see on symmetrical games. It makes no sense to balance a game like DBD around that.
-
I'm fine with them as they are. The only one which needs a complete rework is Dead Hard, because it power creeps every other. Smash Hit and Head On could actually use buffs.
-
Linked sets shouldn't even be a thing for original characters (except things like Minotaur Oni and Mordeo Huntress). Clipping issues are laughable because Feng has a LOT of skins that clip through each other.
-
It's just a failure of a mechanic. They are either pre-dropped god pallets like those ones on the new map, or they don't do anything and it's best to leave them up like on the preschool on Badham.
-
I like playing him a lot, but people transitioning from loop meta to W meta hurt him a lot, and COH destroys him.
-
I used to find Nemesis incredibly fun when people still tried to loop him. Now everybody just holds W against him and he's boring to play because most of the time you feel like M1ing people instead of using the whip.
I don't know what level of game balance is that you make a killer that gives survivors 8 free health states when his antiloop is not even that good. It's just funny lore wise when Ghostface, an edgy guy, can instadown people while Nemesis, a ######### gigantic bioweapon, takes 3 hits to down. Sure he has zombies but those are inconsistent, might as well make Pig take 3 hits to down as well.
Also I agree with what other people said here.
-
The perk Inner Strength, along with all other Stranger Things perks, was renamed and is now a general perk available to everyone. Just level up the bloodweb and it will eventually appear.
-
Who would have thought the streamer with 6k hours using the best perks and addons available is more likely to win matches. Thank god everybody plays just like that.

I get it, you're a killer main and don't play survivor.
I actually play 60% killer and 40% survivor, but nice argument.
-
I agree with everything except Nurse and Trickster. Nurse imo is a greatly designed killer, because chases against her are skill vs skill. Trickster isn't the most fun to face but I think he feels a good niche to play as.

>Learn how to play against a killer is usually way easier than learning how to play that killer.
That's true. What I'm saying is that killers not necessarily have to learn all killers, while survivors forced to play against all killers and it's mandatory to learn counterplay to each killer
You don't need to learn how to counter each killer. The base game already favors survivors, so you just need to learn how to use that in your favor. You can be horrible at running a Doctor, but if you just hold W away from your teammates, use some good exhaustion perk to carry you to safe areas and pre-drop some pallets you'll be fine.
Your objective as a survivor is doing 5 gens and opening the gates. You don't need to be good at looping or anything fancy. As killer the objective requires you to be good at chases, because there's no other way to kill survivors (well, maybe basement Bubba).
Also very few people play only one killer. There's 26 of them right now and I'm pretty sure the majority of the playerbase plays at least a handful of them.

Unless you want to learn all killers at once, playing survivor requires more skill.
Funny joke.
-
Nurse.
I used to main Huntress, mained her for 3 years but since MMR + map reworks shadow nerfing her, I simply couldn't deal anymore and had to go for a stronger one. I always liked playing Nurse but was never that good with her, but now I'm fully dedicated to her.
I'd say 300 of my 2300. I still play a lot of variety.
I really don't know. I won majority of my games with her, like 90% win rate, so I like to think I'm good.
-
Considering the skill ceilling of killer is much higher than survivor, yes. They should not be unbeatable, but losing to unskillful things like spreading up on Haddonfield feels cheap.
-
I did it with Artist only, maybe it's related to her.
-
Hexes were already bad before due to survivors, but now that survivors are looking for totems to bless, I firmly believe Hexes are one of the worst perks you can bring. They can only be solid if you make a build full of them (something like Ruin, Undying, Devour, Thrill/Haunted).
-
The higher MMR you are, the less you see the low tier killers. You probably see more Billies because even though he is crap to play, he's still stronger than Legion.
-
I haven't played any other killer since Tuesday.
-
There's no such a thing as "abusing" an addon. Addons exist to be used and they are just a waste of BP if you're going to just let them rot. It's just stupid that somehow people like that Quentin really think this is a thing. That's like being at a restaurant and people start judging you because you asked for the most expensive meal.
I don't really know how I feel about Pinky Finger. On one hand Clown is already a very mediocre killer and an addon like that makes him able to compete against better survivors, but on the other it feels cheap going down because of it. I guess it's fine overall.
Mind you survivors in general don't really feel bad for running BNPs, Syringes, Haddonfield/Coldwind offerings, etc, so don't be bothered by it.
-
I think it should be able to be used twice. It would be nice because it would encourage killers to always keep going for different people. Right now the best use you can get out of the perk is to tunnel someone out and then start going for the rest once one person is dead.
-
I don't know how someone can be tough to the point of playing BG2 and at the same time be bothered by teabagging. Great game btw.
Devs won't do anything. It's an online game so people will always find always to be toxic. I've had toxic people on Chess.com.
If you're that bothered by it, the EGC timer lasts only 2 minutes. Open the gate for yourself and go to the bathroom. Once you're back the game is already over. Don't forget to turn the endgame chat and make your comments/messages "friends only" as well.
-
You said it yourself, that's just nostalgia boner for older killers. It's good that we have killers that deviate from the traditional looping because that got boring really fast.

If you manage to greatly "underperform" with these, they might get buffed again...
They don't really care about killers underperforming. Deathslinger always had one of the lowest kill rates on both stats they released with him (funnily enough he was paired with Billy on the last one) and he still got trashed. It's still mindblowing how the B tier killer got nerfed more than the S tier one (Spirit).
Now if a killer is overperforming, that's a different story. Gotta catter those 4 wallets.
-
I was watching a former dev (you know who) one of these days and he said he thinks boons should have a 16m range and a cooldown after the killer snuffs it, I think it would be a good change.
-
Does he still have that animation bug when he readies his M2? I remember stopping playing him because of that, and they said on a patch that it was fixed but it really wasn't.
-
I think medkits should be limited to 2.5 health states. More than that is kind of BS, but otherwise medkits are fine. CoH is not though.
-
@Steel_Eyed said:
Reduce his terror radius to 24.
Remove ADS restriction to fire. Keep the putting the weapon away cooldown.
I second this.
-
Sure, so then every Pinhead can fill those two perk slots with slowdowns.
-
The fact she counters these perks makes her one of the best designed killers.
-
Even McLean agrees they should have a cooldown and be reduced to 16m, so yeah.
-
He's still very solid. I don't even know why people compare him to Huntress, because Huntress needs to charge her hatchet for 3 seconds before releasing it at full speed (1000%), while Slinger takes only 0.9 seconds to do the same. At close range he's still imo way better than her.
He's just UNFUN as hell to play as now. He feels clunky because a gun is supposed to be a responsive weapon, not a sluggish one. Any shooter dev seeing Deathslinger's ADS would feel ashamed because besides being clunky to use, the limited sensitivity is stupid. The "compensation buff" he's got is worthless because keeping the ADS raised is useless, he's most effective playstyle is still raising the gun and shooting ASAP.
Give back his quickscope, and just give him a massive slowdown if he raises the gun without shooting, something slower than even Huntress. Reward the Slingers that actually go for shots, and punish the ones that use cheap zoning.
