So glad youre spreading the rumour they are changing pallets which they’ve already said numerous times isn’t happening. They’re changed a single pallet in a single room on a single map. That’s it.
You haven't seen the thread of the PTB video. It's exactly like that.
-
I don't know how you only have 5k points, when it should've taken the entire game for him to get his T3, you must have been feeding him way too much. Can't call it op when you feed them like that. Also hop in a locker or vault something. They can't tombstone you when you're on the ground
-
Typically in pre game lobbies you can see when they are holding a key, when that happens I run an ebony Mori. Key=Mori. Anyways other than that, the matchmaking is ######### and the DEVs solution is to just hide the ranks., I've played killer a lot and gotten so used to games against red ranks that doesn't phase me anymore. Just play normally

Now lets complain about it. Who is first?
BHVR gave us some boost, but it's not 100%. I'm so upset that I can't get those extra 3 items in the bloodweb after each match. BHVR sucks blah blah blah >:c
-
The DEVs gave us a BP bonus. Why y'all complaining. Be happy that you didn't get anything at all

i guess ishould of said i already have teachables for all my survivors
Oh well in that case I think Jake, he has some of the best cosmetics in my opinion. Plus he has a man bun and it's basically an in game Monto
-
@BeHasU said:
Don't p3, its a huge waste of BP. Lv up every survivor to 40 for their teachables
He has a point. I P3ed Feng Min before I leveled other survivors. Which I regretted, I could've had 6+ more teachables I could've used in the beginning if I didn't prestige. Get all of them to 40+ and then choose a main. That's my best advice
-
Weak? Huntress Iri head is well over powered, but she loses it. Survivors have key add ons that let them keep it no matter what happens. Not only that survivors have a lot more than the killers have for add on options, because they have multiple items. The killers have only a few amount and most not even making much difference unless it's purple rarity or higher. If you start letting survivors keep add ons too. After they made it where you can keep items. People will start collecting so many brand new parts, key add ons. That every game would be infested with them. The reason you don't see iri head huntresses every game is because they lose their add ons after the game. You also keep your add-ons if you don't lose your items. You're basically just asking them to give you your items back even if you died
I personally just see so many flaws with this addition that I wouldn't be able to support it.
-
I'm not into a lot of scary movies so I don't know a good majority of the probably licensed killers out there, but I'm really hoping for one to be added that's actually terrifying, creepy, and makes the hairs on your neck stand. Let's be honest, for a horror game. No one is actually scared of the killer.
I personally go "awwww" when the killer keeps failing a mind game
-
My personal opinion is it makes sense it's been retired. It gave new players a chance to try new killers or something but without their perks or add ons it wasn't that fun, plus as you mentioned there's videos. I feel like it was a useful tool but not one you'd use. It's basically the same as RGB in a PC, nice but not necessary

Me who just throws myself through windows when the last person on the enemy team dies
Survivor rulebook section A: 37. Survivors who throw themselves at killers while vaulting a window must be mentally unstable and hence the killer has to respect it and stare as they run away
-
Survivor entitlement, nothing new. The community has set this stigma that killers must play a certain way. Which is stupid. It's like telling people not to tea bag in COD, Siege, Etc. They won't stop because you ask them to. They play how they want to and that's that. If they want to tunnel or camp you. Learn to loop them effectively or your team do gens as they camp. End of story. Also stop hiding in lockers when you're injured, blood is so obvious when leading to lockers smh
-
Biggest issue is early game pressure. And some light fixes like Blendette. I played a game earlier with a SWF with four Blendettes, one map offering for MacMillan, and multiple fog offerings. Let's just say I couldn't find anyone when they turned a corner.

This is why you stay and low ranks.
The very fact you're telling killers to stay in low ranks to have fun is exactly what's wrong with this game.
-
1. Holding the game hostage is bannable however only really the killer can do this, such as trapping a survivor in a corner the entire match until EGC.
2. The survivor can't technically hold the game hostage as the killer can easily just start EGC and they'll die either way, and if they're hiding and they die from it that's their own fault and not the killers. So can't say survivors hold the game hostage as it's kind of impossible as far as I'm aware. Since if you don't do the objective the killer will probably find you either way from crows or just seeing you randomly.
3. If they worked with the killer to just kill you it's a bannable offense as that's an unfair advantage for them and the killer with only you being the target.
4. Just make a report ticket and send the video link in the report and the mods will review and handle it
Hoped this help, to the best of my knowledge. Don't quote me on any of this though <3

The OP isn't really using the phrase right. A double standard is when a set of standards apply to one person or group of people and not another. For example, a promiscuous women is often referred to or thought of as a "#########" whereas a man who is promiscuous is often referred to or thought of as a stud. That is a double standard.
What I meant by double standards is they think it's fair and okay if they bring a key and flashlights. But when I used a Mori to counter it they hated on it. That's the double standard.
-
@TAG said:
Flashlights are not equivalent to Ebony Moris IMO. Not even close.
They had 3 flashlights, and one key.
-
@PB182 said:
You gotta be pretty bad to bring a ebony mori because you seen a survivor with a flashlight.
As I said they also had a key, so.
-
@Pulsar said:
I'll try to help as best I can.
Basically, do not let other players dictate what you use/do. It is totally fine to use Ebony's however you see fit. So long as you are not breaking any rules, pay no heed to these messages.
Hope this helps ☺
I know, still aggravating though.

Personally I don't use NOED. If they have BT or cleanse all the totems it's a wasted perk slot. Plus it's not good to get used to using it, it's considered a crutch perk. Plus at rank 20 most survivors are potato enough that you don't get to end game.

Basic attack is half your arsenal and 90% of killer primary attack? Just cause Billy can 1 shot down someone anytime he likes doesn't mean that a majority aren't M1 killers. Most powers just reduce a health state.
Exactly so if their power is basically the same as an M1 but they don't get the benefits of using said perks with their ability then why use them. That's my point
-
@ALostPuppy said:
No idea. It's also weird that the best perk that has an effect when downing survivors works for ANYTHING, even grabs ffs. Then you have a dumpster-fire of a perk like Surge that only works on M1 downs and it just baffles me that it has such a limitation and infectious doesn't.
I know it's so annoying. They create killers and perks and don't make them work together efficiently. Most of their perks are actually cripples and that's why people stick to certain ones. Oh you want to use save the best for last? Sorry got be an M1 like Michael or it's pointless.

Rest assured, you won't be banned for it 😊 And just to be clear, when I say "frowned upon", I don't mean they'll hate you for it or anything, just that they don't like to encourage it because it's not really playing the game properly.
I know, though I generally have more fun and afterwards everyone is so nice to each other I love playing the game even more after it lol
-
@Fibijean said:
Farming, particularly the way you're doing it (not punishing survivors who don't want to participate) is not bannable, but it is frowned upon by the developers.

I'd really like to see this video because I don't believe it possible to hack console, especially not hack it to allow crossplay.
Guy above mentioned video name to look up
-
I thought maybe it was a bug now y'all making me think it wasn't >.>

@Okapi said:
It might not be PC hackers in this case. Did they have the crossplay globe icon next to their name in the endgame screen? If not then it was a bug. There was a bug that when a killer hits the survivor and they gained the temporary speed boost, the survivors maintained the boost until healed or downed.
Must've been that then. I figured it was something along those lines but just makes you wonder yknow. I don't usually say "hacker" since I play on console alot and it's near impossible to hack on there

It's probably an antibot or something set up to protect the forums more

I get where you are coming from. This is the kind of thread that will inevitably receive some "get gud" type posts. But there really is a balance issue against competent survivors and a majority of the killers these days. I believe that there should be some kind of winning side handi-cap built into this game. It is just so snowbally for both sides with little in the way of comeback possibilities. God forbid you try to set up as a killer (trapper/hag) or actually try and sneak or stalk (shape/ghost face) before 2 gens pop. I would like to see map portals or some other means for killers to navigate the map. Breakable walls is a nice concept but we'll just have to see how much of an impact it has.
Breakable walls are nice but they just make loops easier. It doesn't fix the map pressure issue the majority of killers are experiencing
-
Not only that but BHVR made matchmaking go off of ranks, not the perks or levels of the character you're playing.
-
Yeah no thanks. This discourages people to bring flashlights which means less of them in high ranks. Which frankly is flooded with both keys and flashlights.
-

BHVR would never be able to get the rights for a Marvel IP.
It was more of a joke than a serious suggestion
-
Should just add a Ghost Rider killer instead. Be more badass with the flames too
-
Might not be a fix but have you tried putting your PS4 on its side. When mine has issues I do that and it fixes. It'll give it more breathing room and less of an area to sit on that gets hot from it running
-
I hope it's not stuck like that when it releases for console because the graphics are set and unchangeable on there so if we can't change it to make it brighter it'll be a horrible map to play as killer. I hate Yamaoka Estate for that reason, alongside the giant weeds
-
I personally don't believe DC penalties were necessary. They were a step in the right direction but people just suicide on hook or DC anyways.

"I want another way to get BP"
*gets one*
"This isn't an option."
I don't enjoy you mocking me when I have no way to change that fact. I'm not saying it's not an option because I don't want to. I can't finish it because I'm stuck at the challenges that require me to use specific perks I don't even have unlocked

Every multiplayer game is super grindy. That's why I almost exclusively play DBD. Just dont have time to play every game and try to level up and unlock stuff in each. That's why I dont like this new battlepass trend
I get that, I just don't want to have to stick to Dead by Daylight so much just to get perks for it. I don't play MMOs because grinding isn't my forte and prefer a relaxed grind. Dead by Daylight follows that category but is kind of on the opposite side of that at the same time. Which is slightly frustrating.

NOED is literally DS for killers, both reward you for your opponent playing well and require no effort or plan to be activated.

How the hell am I supposed to know how many totems did my teammates do?
Totems spawn in patterns. Usually one in each corner and the last is either in smack middle or somewhere near there. Count the ones you did, remember the corners you did them in and you'll always find them. I've done that and got them all typically before first 2 gens are done. It's really not that hard and doesn't take any time up really so you can M1 still to freedom

Archive isn't an option because after Tome 1 a lot of the perks required I didn't have so I couldn't progress any further in it. While working towards getting those perks it was basically almost done and then required a perk from someone I didn't have.

I would second the suggestion of Nurse on console. I've finally given up with playing killer on console due to the overall poor performance, even on a PS4 pro with an SSD. I feel that you simply don't get the control over any killer that you do on a PC so I'm starting all over again!
I avoided the Nurse on the console, used another killer to max out her BP to get her perks. I am now, like you playing nurse on the PC. I get anything from no kills through to 4k (sometimes I play well other times its due to the potatoes turning up). I find it the hardest the closer the survivor is to me, particularly loops but its simply going to come down to practice and muscle memory.
The add-on that shows you where your blinks are landing is Plaid Flannel but I found it more of a hinderance and used it a few times. Don't use add-ons that have any form of a negative effect. Here's a good post for add-ons
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/856/WACVVBYYYVR1.png
I also have found that chasing a single survivor is excellent practice. Don't worry about BP or kills you want to fine tune the blinking and chasing. Also, use the second blink with caution it carries a far harsher penalty for missing, only use it when you pretty sure you can get that hit.
Good luck.
Ive been playing her alot and I have gotten alot better, before I could barely manage a kill and now it's normal to get 2-3 past few games. My issue is the short distance chases. The closer they are, but not within smacking range. The harder it is for me to get them. Since she's slow so can't catch up, and her blinks don't really support short range blinks. Mostly just hindering you. However if they're a decent bit away I typically win that chase
-
Don't forget clown. He needs some loving too. Demo could use some works. Imo his portal ability doesn't come in play enough.

Maybe just having the option to turn it off would be better? It's a competitive game and that is a part of the atmosphere. Sure some people take it too far but that's why we report them. Honestly I think just stronger moderation tools even community driven ones would be a better option than simply removing the ability to have communication. Because I often use the endgame chat to give advice and explain why something does or does not work.
Yes but how often do the reports typically work actually. If it was a big deciding factor of the reports actually being helpful people wouldn't do it so much
