From the looks of it, only breakable walls will appear in set areas. So box/barrel loops are still a thing but this'll definitely hopefully make shack, ironworks infinite might FINALLY be gone since as survivor when I get that map it's always open. Other things like that will definitely be nice. Trapper buff is good although I'd prefer he could access traps easier instead of having to go get them every time. Still a step in the right direction though

My issue with Franklin's is it has no use on keys. Sure it loses 10% but if they plan to open hatch that 10% didn't really do anything now did it
-
Not the cosmetic but I'm missing my Iridescent shards, happen to have those?

Killers don't so much have meta builds.
Survivors have meta builds since they have about 10 perks that are so insane that there's no reason to run literally anything else.
Killers, on the other hand, have kinda meh perks after Ruin was removed. The strong ones are unreliable, and the reliable ones aren't all that strong.
Killers are unique, so there isn't just one broadly applicable meta build. Sure, Pop might be great on Billy, but it's kinda ######### on Myers.
It's also worth noting that you're already breaking the meta just by playing a killer who isn't A-tier. If you're trying to play Myers or Legion, you're pretty much boned no matter what you do so long as the survivors are playing properly, and there's no "meta" build that can salvage that.
I don't necessarily agree with that. I play legion a lot due to the fact I enjoy his ability to vault quickly in a chase. BBQ, Sloppy, Nurses, and whispers do pretty well on him and almost every other killer can use that build and have a decent game as long as they play it correctly
-
Yes but you can't see it because it's a ghost's face
-
I usually go straight for totems instead of gens since I know one teammate is probably being chased and other two are on gens. Usually get all five before first two gens are done and NOED is no more
NOED is fine if not a wasted perk slot when I'm in the game since I never get hit by it. Stop being lazy and go look for them. There's a pattern so you can always know where they're at. One spawns basically in every corner of the map and somewhere between or in the middle of the map. Think of that next game and you'll get them all
-
This could definitely work. Although I see some issues with it, it could discourage people wanting to do gens or be altruistic in order to keep their DS. Making solo queue even more of a headache than it already is
But I can see where you're coming from and enjoy these type of threads. Threads that offer ideas to changes what's currently in the game that a good majority would say needs a rework or nerf.
-
NOED is insanely powerful with Whispers, Nurse, Spirit, Hillbilly, BBQ n Chili
Just like any other perk it's not meant to be powerful by itself, pairing things together with it make it useful
And if you're losing five totems and gens without anyone dying then you probably don't deserve the NOED to begin with
NOED is powerful if used right, if you're only getting one kill with it then you're not using it right. Do I believe it needs a rework? Maybe but I'm definitely leaning away from a buff rework
Words from a pretty much 50/50 killer Survivor player. So I know both sides of the effect from NOED
-
Um I main Huntress on PlayStation and that first one is too familiar with me and I'm pretty sure that was me lol
If it was I'm sorry for dedicated servers uwu

Someone on Playstation DID actually post a match with a PC killer in their lobby. I assumed that it was possible from Playstation.
I know what you're referring to, someone said that hackers have found a way to get into console servers somehow. A Dev never confirmed this but that's what I heard

Xbox possibly shafted again?
Wouldn't be the first time. They did cancel Space Hulk: Deathwing on me after all.
I play PlayStation so it wasn't just Xbox, he said it was between and Stream and Windows 10 store

@PigMainClaudette said:
Wait. When was cross-play added?
I'm on Xbox and I haven't heard anything about it.
That's what I was saying

Survivor mains just have a checklist, going down the list and marking what they want nerfed next.

I don't know anyone who is rank 10. I don't know anybody who plays this game. Heck I don't even have any friends, real life or online. How am I supposed to get my rank up then?
Unless there is between Xbox and PC, but I've played PS4 and PC and never had cross play players on my team or against me
-
1. There is no cross play
2. If you mean you queue as a survivor and you wait half an hour. Blame that on the DEVs making the game a horrible experience and a stress show for killers making nobody to want to hardly play them anymore.
-
Why is it that everytime a killer perk is nerfed they automatically hop on the next train to nerf another. Maybe they should remove killers and just make the game an escape room at this point
-

It should at the very least be against the rules to try and discourage it, but it's not even that. This is the only game like this I know of that openly allows it.
Siege has countless Smurfs, same with Apex, and almost every competitive multiplayer in existence

Infinite Myers with no gen slowdown should basically see 3-4 gens compete before he hits T3
Not when your teammates feed him
-
I don't typically DC ever. The only time I'm fed up enough to DC is something similar to infinite T3 Myers, with Infectious Fright, BBQ, Spirit Fury, and Enduring. Alongside a Mori.
I can't count how many times I've faced something just so impossible like that. That's when I DC because there's no point

This is a thread about Killer meta builds. Not survivors but those are decent perks for sure
-
@Brucecastro81 said:
Insidious behind the door?
Nah. If I'm at the door it gives them too much time to escape after one down. I stay in middle of map as all four gather at my feet after gens are done and I massacre them all, all of them too far from the doors to escape in time
-
The game is unbalanced when survivors can do amazing with only one perk and killer needs all four to apply and decent pressure.
-
@Steel_Eyed said:
NOED is mandatory on all builds. Just in case you can’t get a mori off before all gens are completed.
Not really. NOED is only what happens if you allow the gens to get popped. I've managed to get them three genned every game so far and NOED never came into play because of it. For me it's a wasted perk slot
-
I run exhaustion add ons as Huntress because it's a counter. Why allow someone to have the ability to dead hard through a hatchet or a hit when I won a mind game and they made a mistake. Exhaustion perks can be considered second chance perks to correct mistakes survivors make.
Exhaustion add ons counter that and I believe more killers should have them

Oh honestly didn’t even know why would they do that you could easily hit red in a day again
Yeah so me being rank 7 back to low yellows was a bad idea, every game I've been playing I've flashlight saved and tbagged because they couldn't hardly get hits on me

Rank reset screwed badly. Some people who were Red ranks are now low ranked. So, bullying ensues.
I noticed that. I'm rank 7 on survivor but was reset to low yellow 16?

So your denying that sensitivity is bad on console? Ok lol play nurse or huntress or even oni ...then play them on pc and tell me that I’m over reacting or that we don’t need it lol many if not most people would disagree with you
I main Huntress and got Oni to 50 third day he released. I know what I'm talking about when I say the sensitivity isn't horrible.
I also play PC, just not as much as console since I have more unlocked on it. But I still have a couple level 50s.
-
I play on console and it's just fine. I honestly think you're over reacting on how bad it is

@Coder said:
We already have an ancient killer, and it's pretty lame.
She's not really ancient though, I'm talking about a killer we all know about that has the same fame as Myers and Freddy. Plague is ancient but not one we know about

Seems pretty normal to me...also this is just how Trapper is now. Without Ruin he feels terrible to play now and it sucks. The trappy boi definitely needs some buffs, he's so outdated and slow compared to every other killer.
If they did something so he doesn't have to lumber around to get traps, it'd be nice. I play trapper a lot and get tired of having to set up and while I'm setting up someone sees me placing them and goes and pops em all then rinse and repeat

Camping does have a penalty. Just not one game changing enough for people to care about

Playing a game that she is inside, that's deep.

Raid Shadow Legends on PC and MAC

I play on console and have no issues with skill checks so being on console isn't an excuse. I consistently hit great skill checks.

Doesn't really matter how it's "been". It's still a casual game. Again, you can't say "this person is your friend, you can't play with them because they are higher rank than you". It will severely hinder the playerbase. The devs decide that it's a casual game. Not the players. There's so much RNG that it is literally impossible for it to be anything other than casual.
The DEVs do decide if it's a casual game, but people are the deciding factor. DEVs are pointless without the player base. And from these forums, it's obvious that the player base believes something major needs to change for it to become a healthy game once again. Stroll through these forums and tell me if general talk on these forums about playing with friends and having fun is most common or people complaining about the games state concerning match making, nerfs, SWF groups.

NO. LEAVE THE GAME ALONE. Im a level 15 killer and i LEARNED how to hit juking survivors. Its EASY. Just get better.
Wise words from a low rank killer. Safety pip your way to purple and then get back to us on how annoying this is. Low rank survivors still are usually learning how to 360

No caps. DBD is a casual game, and basically a party game honestly. You can't tell people "I can't play with my friends because they are more experienced". You'll see the game die quick if you try to dictate that.
All they need to do is put the SWF (however many exist in the party) against a killer that matches the average MMR of the SWF group.
Correct it is a casual game, but lately has it been that way? No, it's been complaint after complaint about nerfs, facing high tier survivors at low ranks, people saying they're quitting because it's more stress than they need.
So while I agree with you, that is not the case in the current state of the game, and them adding a MMR system is making it less casual and more competitive making it a headache to people who are trying to play it casually. DBD is no longer the casual game it was meant to be. Nor do I see it reverting back to that state anytime soon.
-
Counter to camping and tunnelling, DS, Deliverance, BT, Unbreakable and DS, force killer to smack person on hook and then get them off as they're recovering. Camping and tunnelling is easily evaded. You just have to learn and adapt to how to survive against it. Also if they're camping that gives you or everyone else time to gen rush as they're not pushing gens. If gates are powered then everyone save and take a hit all the way to gate
-
The DEVs don't seem to be focusing on making fixes. They haven't released any Q&As or videos reassuring us they're noticing the rift this game has created between Killers and survivors, making the game toxic and too stressful to be a game we play for fun and a stress relief. Until the DEVs release confirmation they recognize the issues and are working on them. I wouldn't play. The DEVs will jump into action once they realize their game is becoming more of a money drain than a source of it. They want money and if we stop playing they'll have to fix the issues we say need major changings to, or they won't get any of that money they're looking so forward to.

Sanctum is Yamaoka Estate, Yamaoka Estate is the Family Residence and the Sanctum with different combinations of each. Same as Mother's Dwelling and Temple of Purgation are both Red Forest.
Oh my bad. I thought Sanctum was Temple map lmao
-
Still prefer it over Yamaoka Estate. Ffs do I hate those maps. It's too dark and as killer survivors hide in those bushes and you can't ever see them. Same with swamp.

@FogLurker said:
Otz clearly needs to git gudder and play a killer that has map pressure and is better at chases so he doesn't need to sweat so hard.
You obviously haven't seen Otz play very much. He's easily one of the top tier killers on Dead by Daylight. He doesn't need to get better as his skill level is very high, I'm pretty sure if you faced his trapper you wouldn't escape. That being said, if someone as skilled as him needs to play Billy and still doesn't have enough pressure. Then something is terribly wrong with the game mechanics. Because a lot of killers don't have his skill set so that situation for them is basically impossible to handle.
-
In honesty I believe every killer is missing something. It's supposed to be a horror sided and no one is actually scared of any of the killers. Only Spirit freaks me out
-
Only thing I can think of is making sure you have the challenge activated.

It isn't that dumb tbh. It takes so long to get to tier 3 and when he is T3 it's then basically like playing against a Plague with faster vault speed and a slightly better lunge. It's strong and devastating if you get to tier 3 early, but good survivors will keep you out of tier 3 for ages. Hell, they can keep you moving around like a snail in tier 1 for a few gens if they know what they're doing.
Usually when running infinite T3, he uses stalk add ons. Making it shorter. I've played against multiple Myers. Only time his T3 didn't pop is when we're on a map that doesn't have a lot of openings. But most the time we get Crotus Aslyum or something.
-
Matchmaking for killer has always been fast due to the vast pool of survivors, survivor queue is still 15 minutes. New ruin is situational, it seems more reliant on the killer and perks you use with it. Plus it's a hex so if they find it annoying it gets destroyed anyways. Seems like neutral. Some left some stayed after ruin Rework. Really no favorite changes, I find them all a little repetitive or just not game changing enough to give it a minute
