While I have seen the occasional commentaries on the Hatch, I haven't seen an endless wave of screeds and complaints about them. Mostly I see people trying to use the hatch as sort of a rhetorical trick, like bargaining, to try and get rid of the Mori. The two things are always kind of lumped together, a weird whataboutism. I don't care about the hatch; I repeat, I don't complain about the hatch. More power to the Survivors who manage to get away however they manage it.
I would make the same fun and sarcastic remarks about people whining and whinging about the Hatch as I would people crying about NOED. I just don't see it come up that often. Or perhaps I'm mired in all the idiotic "toxic" threads that I'm overlooking these other rants? Who knows. The Hatch is fine. The Mori is fine. The Perks are fine. Camping, tunneling, slugging, and body blocking are fine. I'm starting to think that some people enjoy complaining about games more than actually playing them.
True that and don't worry I think noed is fine but should use changes to make it work more efficiently but also fairly all the changes I want are ones that can be balanced contrary to what people may think

Door patrolling can be played around and camping loses blood points. That is also part of the standard match, not a last ditch effort.
Hatch isnt last ditch it was implemented because survs and killers are toxic enough to make the other suffer by holding the game hostage forcing dc.

I want a mechanic like that for the killer side as well. To give the killer one last chance to kill someone.
They do its called camping and door patrolling albeit it doesn't seem as good as hatch but hatch is a 50 50 kind of like camping but idk

I doubt it's the fav build of every red rank survivor I see.
"sprint burst, DS Adrenaline and Hope"
If you don't use hope and use BT, that's meta. Because that's the copy pasted build I've seen over and over. So boring, but anyways, I'm deranking intentionally to see less copy pasted games.
Hmm I always see variety until I see swf which is kinda pathetic. But surv perks are useless for helping you win. And with the gameplay styles lots of killers do and are sometimes forced to you cant really blame people for running them. And nah I have been switching build I used to run DS BT and we'll make it and sprint burst. I agree it gets boring I want something fun so that's why I change thing up ya know. But don't derank because you dont want to go against strong perks, it makes it seem like you can't handle it and I'm also not judging so dont take offense.

Red ranks are usually always running the same OP meta tier perks over and over, while I see more variety in builds in purple and green ranks.
Yesterday I got into red ranks, and game are alllways the same thing.
Seriously, you guys that run the exact same build over and over, are just boring. There are more perks in the game you know?
I've noticed that obviously, to reach red ranks you need a certain amount of skill, but another reason to reach red ranks, is because you are using meta perks, that's all.
I rather derank at keep playing in purple ranks, before being forced to play meta perks in all of my games.
It's a vicious cicle. Killers or survivors, use meta perks. Then the ones that didn't use them, may feel bad about their performance. Then, they realize they "have to use" meta perks. Then they use meta perks and they make the other side think the same ######### again.
You see what I mean?
Please, try different new builds, don't be afraid of changing one perk slot for something you might have wanted to try before. Same with add-ons.
I know, It was so hard for me at first to get rid of my BBQ+pop, but it gets better, believe me. You feel better when you are experimenting and trying new stuff.
Finally, I'm not saying "NEVER EVER RUN META PERKS". Just that you know, there is a wide roster of perks and add-ons in the game, you can always try something new.
My build I like rn is sprint burst, DS Adrenaline and Hope. Not really meta and it has the old meta perks but even when I dont run these my looping skills stay the same and so does my choices. So I to say that people using meta perks carries them is kinda wrong. I can play perkless and stay red rank and ik you don't mean everyone and all but using the same build isn't always a crutch sometimes it's just their fav build. I ran DH, DS, and vault speed build but not only do people complain about those perks it makes my looping reliant on perks so I try amd avoid things that actively change my chases.

This sums it up, a vicious cycle of toxicity that is so easily returned to because "they started it!"
Well if you're only toxic to the people who do it then its not a vicious cycle its when you start to everyone because of an experience

It is well known that the Nurse is the best killer in the game. However, Spirit is eerily similar to Nurse. Both have powers that give them great map pressure and can traverse the map pretty quickly. Blinking and phase walking are very similar but have minor differences such as Spirit not being able to see survivors and Nurse having fatigue after her blinks.
My personal preference is Spirit due to her being a bit sneakier especially with the “Prayer Beads” add-on. She requires a bit more mind gaming than Nurse. I also hate looking at the ground for 70% of the round while blinking as Nurse. I do play on PS4 so I run into very few good Nurse players because it is a bit harder on console than PC.
Nurse is still the best killer on PC, but I do believe that Spirit takes the cake on console. What is everyone elses opinion on Nurse vs Spirit?
Well spirit CAN mindgame but it's not really skillfully to stand still and wait. But I do agree on console spirit is probably better due to limited sensitivity especially because if you over blink as nurse turning mid blink can be harder to do on console. But yeah nurse is better in general, but I will prefer her since she is high risk high reward. Spirit is just uncounterable for no reason. Thats why nurse had the most nerfs everI believe.

That makes sense

Because people in their mind still believe dbd is a esports game that they have to be the best at or else reddit won't love them and if reddit does not love them then their ego is hurt.
Basically a lot of people can't handle losing so it creates toxicity also the developers ignoring this for years has only made it worse over time.
I don't like losing because its my favorite game. But I don't resort to toxicity unless the killer camps or tunnels.

Back to insulting me cursing at me now even. More assumptions I dont want chases to go how I want them to go or be in control of every chase I just want my input to matter. Nor do I want to have my fun with the killer if I did I'd bring over 100s of ormond offerings and keys every game I have on characters and across characters.
Nobody is making pity party posts you just hate on survivors to hate on survivorsnif they dont share the same fully support killers hare survivor mindset as you, you dont like them. I sk want a fair and balanced game. Sure I may not have the right ideas but that doesnt mean I want killers weak.
You are blatantly ignoring why I complain about chases and the point to my posts.
Dude you don't even play toxic nor your teammates and hell whenever im with you I keep the toxicity in check unless the killer was toxic. Goes to show how prevalent assumptions are in this community. I don't think that is entirely false.
Most, not all, but most Survivors in Red Ranks are boosted. It is very easy to rank up as Survivor, especially in SWF. I myself, was not a good Survivor for a looooong time, but I managed to play Solo and get to Red Ranks fairly easily.
For Killer, it is a lot harder to rank up at Red Ranks, you really do have to play almost perfectly (according to the game) in order to pip. This results in a huge disparity in actual skill. Some Survivors will absolutely destroy Killers since they know how to play and if both Survivors and Killers play perfectly (against most Killers on most maps) the Survivors will win simply because the Killer will run out of time.
On the other hand though, a majority of Red Rank Survivors will get dominated by Red Rank Killers and then, falsely believing that they have reached the highest rank, will complain that Killers are OP and need nerfs, when they should be in Purple or Green Ranks.
Ranking up by stealth or swf is an eye opener because stealth helped me at purple ranks when I started and I stopped and learned I wasnt good as I thought. Then I learned looping properly
-
Have you actually met azame. Youre not 100 percent wrong, but the first time I 1v1 him I even told him I disliked his insults and he said that it was to increase his confidence. Some people act cocky because it makes them have faith in themselves and when azame messes up he eventually realizes it and will show remorse. Its not ok to call him a dick, he can be ine but he isn't. And he actually admits when things are survivor sided and I've played with him and his swf they are not as good as him they can hold him back against a good killer 3 more azames and killers will have a problem. And this is how I know him, but im also not saying everything you said is wrong but I dont know if you actually know him enough to make these claims

Yeah ive used those before but unlike some people i run it optimally and get as many vaults as possible some people just be like pallet go boom instead of being smart. And yeah I'd say chaining loops on the fly is harder having to run away and frantically look for other pallets id nerve wracking and you got to see what one would be best. Should I hit that filler pallet or that crane loop since it has a window as well? These are all things good survivors will think of

I have seen more killers show mercy to survivors then I have ever seen survivors show mercy to killers.
Killers never have to give someone the hatch but do anyways when they win hard.
But the opposite never happens were survivors will give pity hooks for when they win hard against the killer.
Bro I play huntress I wanna get good and last night this girl was left behind and I could secure a 2k especially cuz I hated her she was annoying and all she did was spin amd I couldnt hit her. But I gave her hatch. When I see baby survs I let them live unless they annoy me. And as a survivor as soon as I see a baby killer I will let myself die unless I have a flashlight but I 100 percent will not go easy. Unless im in a swf and we agree that we will let them get a few hooks and then escape. I try my best to be merciful as long as they give me a reason too. And frankly killers are more merciful. Ya know how many times survs let me hit them out the gates? Not much they just leave before I can hit them or teabag. Killers will kill you and only be toxic when you are or you get gen rushed. I play enough to know survivors are more toxic and will be more inclined to bully. But I believe that is more so the fact that a killer against babies control the match and good survs against a killer cant just go easy or they will die. They have to loop and maybe give a few hits but if they are nice it could turn into facecamping or crap like that

For the most part I main survivor and I understand how empowering it feels to be better than the killer but as soon as you taunt him because of that you are pathetic. Nevet once did i say to go easy. All you have to do is drop pallets and the killer is screwed. No-one on the team has to be any good at looping. In fact, you can just run in a straight line and waste enough time, something proved by Midwich.
Skill ≠ survival. That's a common misconception. All you need are gens. The only exception to this is if you are going against Huntress or one of the three extreme antiloop killers - Nurse, Deathslinger and Pyramid Head. Even Spirit cannot counter the hold W stratagey.
Ok I feel like we are both missing eachother points

Skillful survivors can run you around the same tile for several minutes. Good survivors know that they don't need to, because generators are a thing that should get finished so that they can escape.
You do realize that if you do t have a runner you can't do gens? Like I get what youre saying but a good survivor can loop and do gens. If you cant loop well you're not very good. If I played against a killer as a 4 man swf and we don't try and loop we would lose guaranteed. Of we just waste pallets and are coordinated and do gens maybe. But no matter what if you can not extend a chase past 20 seconds you wont win

A “Good” nurse manages the care of patients, monitors vital signs, administers any additional needed medications, schedules needed treatments, communicates with doctors, educates family members on patient status, monitors patients for any signs or symptoms of worsening health, and meets additional patient needs.
A bad nurse slaughters everyone with patience, precision, focus and a smooth, relaxed, systematically established flow. Their mind isn’t wandering. They’re not thinking of anything else. They’re totally involved in what they’re doing. Dopamine levels peak, progressing into euphoria. Outside noise is drown out as the world seems to be cut off entirely, lessening the awareness of one’s self and one’s problems, assuring every time that 5 enter the trial, only 1 remains... floating contently, consistently pleasing to the entity.

I understand all too well. It comes down to making less pallets to make survivors learn to loop. Then the good players suffer from bad survivors, or more pallets because bad players throw them all.
People forget the 1v1 is the most interaction in this game and always when it comes to an argument like this they say "it's a 1v4 game." That's frustrating.
Yeah id say 1v4 needs fixing first, but both of them are as equally important. If no one can run the killer gens cant get done. Or the gens still get done. People are good at looping and gens get done or dont. Both rely on each other but the 1v1 is the most fun and interactive and skill based. And to balance pallets they would need some way to slow the game down or as you said remove pallets but that like all changes will just cause complaints and it would make sense because people waste pallets and some don't. Its unfair to the people that dont

I can definitely agree with this post and say that killers can have a hard time and there is no need to be toxic to another person. All this does is add on to the toxic cycle. I can also agree with the fact that i am trash when playing swf for the most part but playing swf has also made me better and i can handle myself for the most part.
See you aren't trash but most of the time if you start playing as swf you arent as good. Swf is a crutch. And there isnt anything wrong with that, but it kinda gets annoying because you get matched with people who are good or these swf get downed quick but finish gens or they are toxic. In my experience its usually the less skilled that are toxic. Regardless though as I said there are always exceptions to what im saying so this doesn't go out to everyone

I read it all and that's my biggest issue survivors who pre throw and get gens done because of that. Annoying as #########.
Yeah and plus I made some sound arguments and plus you usually agree with me anyways😂 but that crap is stupid I just wish this game could be balanced around 1v1 a bit too. The 1v4 def needs balance. But a 1v1 against a crap ton of pallets is basically a time waste and its illogical to just not deal with those pallets because then they will be used eventually. I just wish that wasting your time could have a benefit. If the early game thing last long enough then you could get these pallets quicker and survs would have to play smarter

Yes, you can call that a good nurse, but being a good nurse doesn't implicate the player is a good killer player. The scariest nurses are the one that master nurse and also have a solid game knowledge as a killer overall.
Suppose that you have 3 injured survivors on your line of sight. A good nurse but bad killer player will not waste time thinking about which one of them to chase. A good nurse and good killer will briefly analyse which one probably has Dead Hard, since is a major blink lunge counter, and also check for the ones who are close to a major line of sight breaker or jungle gym, because these have higher chance of proc'íng a Lithe or evading blink lunges with a locker. These are just an small example, but for a good nurse to be able to end chases quickly consistently she'll need to rely on a lot of game knowledge and aweraness that you have to know in order to play any other killer in higher ranks. This being said, I would say a solid rank 1 nurse player is someone who is able to play consistently at killer rank 1 with non-nurse killers while having also mastered nurse.
So do you agree with me as well?

They study you, when they know that you start at the quarter turn they bombard you with things that make you lose patience (tbag, etc)...
A Nurse is frustrating at the base, if in addition they frustrate you it is logical that the definition "good nurse" is nonsense !
The only addon able to destroy a team is the Plaid, because there is no mistake, it's pure precision !
Are you saying that a good nurse can't exist against red rank survivors?

you can run stbfl with almost all these killers minus nurse. But your last part about camping from distances. So the only way to play her is hook defence? That again many killers can already do just slightly worse than her?
Think of it like this. Spirit is better and so is nurse. And oni and billy. Unless you have a perfect web in the proper areas. Then id say she is better than nurse. 1 person goes to a gen instant teleport and hit. They run and activate another trap and you can instant teleport hit or wait to see how they react. If they drop a pallet and they are on the side with a trap they might vault into your arms or you teleport and guarantee a hit. And as soon as you do bam another trap rinse and repeat. You can get hits faster than any other killer. And this is only if you have a good web if you don't bye bye 4k or 3 gen and if they mess with your traps and you dont know how to manage you lose. As Otz said focus on your web and once you do protect it and let the killing begin

Dude some of those nurses downes against my team in 30 seconds in each chase or less and got 2 of my team sacrifices and I ran her for ~3.5 gens with ONE teammate working on gens.
They were "Good" but due to the "No True Scotsmen" fallacy which YOUR PROVING people call them bad.
See 1 killer has a skill level. 4 survivors increase eahcother skill seemingly. If you are a gen jockey and 3 people take aggro for the most part. And you lead your team to victory because you did gens no matter what are you skilled at survivor? Or were you carried by not being chased? The latter a good survivor can loop and if you have teammates who can loop and do gens you will win. Now your teammates could have been outpositioned or werent good. The fact of the matter is that she wasnt good of you juke a nurse and she doesn't play the way a nurse should play she isnt good. There are guides to become a good nurse and if this nurse did exactly that perfectly like they should or very good you wouldnt have ran her that long. I had a game like you and it was on groaning storehouse a 3 person swf with me as solo. They had flashlights and one found one so they all were hungry for a save and we gen rushed and at 3 gens or 2 left she started slugging and these survivors were getting downed left and right. She chases me and couldnt catch me. Except when I misplayed or was outpositioned. I used jukes and I used maneuvers, but she didnt play to counter or read.me. she was decent but she wasn't good. I was better against a nurse than my teammates, but I also knew that she wasn't a good nurse. And people do agree on a good nurse and everyone agrees a good nurse wont be ran for as long as you said, so regardless of your accusation that its a fallacy based off of your true Scotsman crap remember that you stated an assumption that is actually wrong

You know I am not the OP of this thread right?
Your comment is extremely dismissive and implies there is no skill in playing against the nurse.
Also what I was bringing up about the "Good"/"Unicorn" nurse is the logical fallacy called "No True Scotsmen" which is a logical fallacy of ultimately moving goal posts by changing the definitions of what they are even asking for.
I have legitimately seen people on the forums say that nurses doing what you say WEREN'T GOOD NURSES because they ended up losing to DS/Unbreakable.
as someone stated before you of you run a nurse for 3-5 gens she isnt good. That was my point and that is why I commented. I dont care for the OP of the thread or his post. I commented on what you said. It was illogical and I gave you a scenario of what a good nurse looks like which you said things basically saying you can't say a good nurse wouldn't fall for jukes or whatever. But that argument works. A good nurse won't chase you for that long, a good nurse will end a chase in 30 seconds or less. These are all valid arguments because the good nurse is not a unicorn nurse. They are real and the situations are real. Anyways the point is the nurses you played against aren't good as that guy said and there is no reason to argue against the truth of the matter
-
@Warcrafter4 said:

Even against people who are siad to be "good" nurses get juked once then everyone cries they aren't good with her at all.
The concept of the "good" or "unicorn" Nurse as I call it is out right fictional as everyone says "but against a good nurse" but never can actually say any examples that everyone agrees on.
I am sorry but the "Against a good nurse" argument holds no water as no one can agree upon what it even is.
I can help elaborate a bit. Best nurse ive ever played against is on Xbox. Not only great nurse he is good killer too add those together and he mind games like crazy and reads great. I met him on the game! The meat plant, easy right? WRONG. He wrecked our whole team in MINUTES. You go behind a wall predicted you go through the doors predicted. He knew the way we would run and if we got away he wouldnt let it happen again. I wasnt very good at that time and now im pretty good id say and I found him again and same map. He ended chases QUICK, suffered because of gen rush and even then I BARELY escaped through hatch. Barely. No matter how good we were it didnt matter he hooked everyone at least 2 times and 1 gen was left or 2 by the time I got hatch. This is one of her worst maps vs a person with experience and each time they were rusty from not playing her. THAT is what to expect from a good nurse and if it was a different map we probably wouldnt have survived. We worked on gens and ran the best we could and it wasnt enough to crush her. Your experience is against bad nurses. Make a post on the forums and ask for people who HAVE gone against good nurse and ask them if they won or lost and why. I can assure you they won due to a gen rush or bad map and if you don't want to take in accounts of others experience you have no right to say good nurse is a bad argument that isnt real.

It's easy , just get your friends go into kyf and put on a green key with a gold token and prayer beads or put on a map with some jelly and range add ons , go to shack and hold mind channel when he starts vaulting and run back the other way , just don't wait too long because it's only while he's stuck in the animation and they won't be able to see you though good headphones may hear you running you might be able to find one someone else already made or I can just make it next time I'm on
Do the add-ons matter? Also is the tining any point in their vault?

Yep lol actually you can use the mind channel at window vaults and window tech a killer every time because you lose collision if you do it as soon as they start vaulting , normal window techs have a timing or you'll end up with collision but this totally eliminates that, and a map works with it as well
Wait you're lying?!

You are confusing "skilled" and "good," although there is little skill to survivor outside of an m1 chase. Good survivors are the ones who always escape.
That means there is no good survivor and no good killers based off of your logic

I find that in most cases, I usually never leave one half of the map. I lock down 3 to 5 generators close enough for me to manage, and almost completely ignore anywhere else. This is usually pretty effective, but I find I drop chase a lot when the survivor heads to the other side of the map. I kind of hate this play style. I don't find it particularly fun and I don't imagine most survivors do either.
That being said, if I leave my "domain" too often, or really at all, my 4 or 3 gen gets screwed up and I can no longer effectively use my power. When this happens I usually end up getting bodied by any mildly competent survivors.
I guess what I want to know is, are there any hag experts with any tips for being a more aggressive but still effective hag.
In case anyone wants to know, my usual setup is:
No addons
Sloppy Butcher
Thanataphobia
Hex: Ruin
Monitor and Abuse
See hag is like trapper but less aggressive until you get the webs. First she is 4.4 so dont loop. MAB is great on her because it makes her like deathslinger so you can get free hits but pressure people close to your web and start chases that way you have a chance of getting downs. But you can also teleport to your traps once they are set off because if your web is good you will absolutely win that chase and shouldnt risk the one you are in. But that depends in certain things I guess.

This would only prove that YOU cant counter her.
Azame is THE BEST console player I have EVER encountered. He loops efficiently and does thing most survivors do. Unless You're a great killer azame usually doesnt go down. Or if you are a killer with a useful power.
