You basically mentioned the reason. To prevent the killer to equip Franklin's, Lightborn, Offerings, etc.

That's not true. Tinkerer has 3 counters in my opinion.
- Spine Chill: It lights up when the killer is coming to you, obviously.
- SWF: If one person activates Tinkerer, that person can tell the others. And then they know when it activates and what to do when they activate it.
- Being attentive and careful: When you activate it, you know that the killer has Tinkerer. And then you know when you activate it and what to do.

If I had fun, it's a win no matter what. But if it was a painful and unenjoyable match. It's only a win if I escape or if I can get all of my teammates out without me surviving.

In my opinion. Adept killers should only require a 4K and not Merciless. I almost got Adept Shape, but I was a pixel away from getting Merciless. And that was the last time I even touched him, cuz I was so mad xd

It's made by the same developers, Supermassive Games.
It plays very similarly, but also has online co-op where two players can control two characters at the same time.
It's actually the second game in the Dark Pictures Anthology. The first one, Man of Medan, released in 2019. The third game, House of Ashes, is due to release in a couple of months.

I can't really blame anyone for DC'ing most of the time. Because in my experience, people usually DC if someone's playing in a "not so fun" way. So I don't really care if someone DC.

I know there's a game on steam called "The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope". It looks similar to Until Dawn IMO :)
Altho I haven't played it either. Because I haven't been able to buy it yet lol

Yea yea yea. It's rule number 231. If you see a team with 4 Flashlights, you're not allowed to bring Lightborn or Franklin's Demise. You have to accept the blinds from those stinky survivors. Otherwise, you are considered toxic xd

I just feel so robbed whenever the killer is smacking my item out of my hand. Franklin's is also actually one of the reasons why I really like Self-Care. To prevent all those dirty thieves to steal my Medkits xd

What are your specs? If you're on PC and have a good cpu and gpu, that shouldn't be happening. Could be some settings. I personally have a 2700x + 1080ti and I play at 1440p. I didn't uncap my FPS for DBD as that caused performance issues so it's at 60 fps.
I don't pay the most attention to my FPS counter but I can attest that I almost never get stutters anymore and my game doesn't freeze when i play against Freddy (or any killer)
CPU: Ryzen 7 3700X
RAM: 16,0 GB 3200MHz
GPU: GTX 1060 6GB
1080p
And I uncaped my FPS to 120 FPS

I never had issues while playing medium, but I go high/ultra, I sometimes have small frame drops. I had small drops against Trickster but never Freddy...

Also too could depend on the maps you get. I know one of those people I'm referencing could not really handle the newer realm reworks like Ormond and so on and his screen would pretty much freeze heavily because his PC could not handle it, but the other original maps like Coldwind at the time before its rework was fine. So it could just be a realm issue or a mixture of both the realm and dream world.
I was playing on Suffocation Pit, the MacMillan Estate realm. I have faced Freddys on it before, but I've never experienced extreme frame drops like that before. It was like you said, it randomly froze very often. And I do have a pretty good PC.
