Hearing Huntress hum, and going into a locker because I had no idea what I was doing. I didn't leave that locker until the hum was gone. (I didn't realize there was a difference between the heartbeat and the hum).

They're both outclassed by Inner Strength.
Wouldn't say outclassed. Inner Strength is good, but requires 14 seconds of totem cleansing, while Resurgence only requires being unhooked. Both really have their places. I'd even say you could run them together. Save a heal with inner strength (which is better for healing after escaping a chase). Then come off the hook, and a survivor can heal you up in 8 seconds (4 if they have we'll make it. Less if they also have Empathy). I'd say both have their own strengths.

Kate followed by Dwight.

I mean it looks to me like Steve was trying to do the Vault x# of windows challenge while Yun Jin looked like she was doing the sore ankles challenge. People throw games all the time for rift challenges.
-
You could've closed the hatch any time you wanted to. Sounds like you wasted your time.

There is no cap on the amount of firecrackers you get so you can just repair a gen get one then f the killer pushes you off when you get back on it you can get another one.
I mean if a generator regresses THAT much, I"d argue killers have no issue with that.

What does flashbang have to do with Ruin?

Both worked fine for me.

Things I've been reported for that I know of:
-'Tunneling' survivors, despite never hooking the same survivor twice in a row
-Cleansing Haunted Grounds
-Tunneling a survivor when, yeah, I actually did tunnel them
-Not going for a save in the basement against a face camping Freddy after my entire team got stuck down there.
-
I think a couple things:
#1. Zombies should not come within 8 meters of a hooked survivor.
#2. Survivors should have a way of killing Zombies (other than dropping pallets). It shouldn't be easy, and the killer should be rewarded for it by increasing their mutation gauge. (Thus making it risky) But they should be able to temporarily remove zombies other than dropping a pallet.
#3. Like Trapper's traps, I think the number of Zombies should be map dependent. On indoor maps, fewer Zombies are fine. On large outdoor maps there should be more.
-
To counter, I will tunnel everyone NOT wearing the charm and will give the hatch to anyone wearing it. (Actually, I probably won't even notice because let's be honest charms are tiny and I never notice them anyway)
-
12 seconds if destroyed by Nemesis
30 seconds if destroyed by Survivors.

Counterforce
Counterforce is an excellent perk, and I think it's a pretty fair one. It's basically the new Anti-NoED perk. Forget small game. You do have to find the first totem on your own, but after that, you can go around and bust them all. It's also totally fair, since it also only shows you the furthest totem. Well desgined perk all around.
Resurgance
I actually had a similar idea for the perk a while back. I think it'll be a pretty solid perk that can only be used twice per game. Good for anti-tunneling. It's a little better than second wind. Fairly limited in number of usage, but helps you out at your most vulnerable.
Blast Mine
Not sure how to feel about this perk. Kicking gens is going to be a pain, more so than it already is. I do appreciate the uniqueness of the perk. I"m not sure it's something I'd ever use. Ruin makes it completely useless, as does killers who just don't kick gens. Could be pretty useful in a 3-gen situation. Can't be paired with Repressed Alliance, I'm assuming?
Bite the Bullet
Eh, not a great perk. Might be useful for newbie players who regularly miss skill checks. I think it should have some kind of secondary effect.
Flashbang
Not sure exactly how it works on the survivor's end. But it's kind of like Pharmacy, but for Flashlights. Or well.. Firecrackers I guess. Could prove fairly useful against campers. Blind them, and then go for the unhook when they can't see.
Rookie Spirit
A good solo queue perk. You can sort of get an idea of what gens your team were working on with this. Low level requirements. Decent perk.
Lethal Pursuer
I had almost this EXACT idea last August. This perk will be very useful, I think. Yeah, it only lasts 7 seconds. (Insert: So Longer than Ruin, joke). But it lets you know where you should go, where you should try leading survivors to interrupt the most number of survivors. Also if you have a hex totem, you'll know if survivors are near it or not, and whether you need to head straight for it. Basically gives you a stronger start, not unlike Corrupt Intervention. (Though Corrupt makes the map smaller, but survivors can still spawn on generators).
Hysteria
Could be pretty interesting, though I think it needs to lose the basic attack requirement. Legion deserves a good perk, dammit!
Eruption
It's surge, but with a more targeted base. I'm not sure how long gens stay highlighted for, or how exactly it works? Does stopping regression turn the gen non-yellow? Doesn't seem like it does, I think? Which makes this perk interesting. Though I think the cooldown should be a little shorter maybe.

Is there even any reason to use a vaccine? Seems like the meta will be to get infected by a zombie, and then stay infected.
-
It's definitely a concern. Especially since salty people will have more reason to report with such a feature. "Oh, I lost? REPORT!"
I feel like instead players should be rewarded for getting a thumbs up. I give them out, but I don't think they do anything. That way you encourage players to play nice, but without punishing players who played the game and faced salty opponents.

You mean Claire Redfield?
Yeah, Claire Redfield. I could also maybe see Rebecca Chambers Legendary too.

Legendary Claire Redfield for Jill
STARS Uniform for Jill
Legendary Chris Redfield for Leon
RE4 Outfit for Leon
-
She'll probably get a Legendary Skin.
-
Counterforce is pretty good, but definitely not OP. Especially since it shows the aura of the furthest totem, meaning that you'll be trekking different sides of the map. A very usable perk, but definitely not OP.
-
I like it. It's one of the few times devs really communicate with us. And it's nice to see.
-
I enjoy the chase, but I also realize if I want to get anywhere I have to find ways to make chases shorter. Otherwise I lose, and then survivors crouch at me at the exit gates. If I down you, hook you, and then go and down someone else quicker, I build pressure. Eventually I get someone out of the game, and once it's down to about 2 survivors, I can go on chases for as long as I want.
-
Twins. Sorry to the people who enjoy them (all 5 of them!), but yeah Twins. I feel like removing Nurse would make the game easier to balance overall, but Nurse is also such a big part of the game that removing her would feel wrong. Twins on the other hand aren't fun to play against, they aren't fun to play as for most people, either. Balancing them is a nightmare. Kick Victor, and kick charlotte too while we're at it.

It's weird because they imply the mansion from RE1 with some of the hints in the teaser we got, but the male seems not to be..masculine enough to be Chris.
It's more likely to be Leon since he's very popular and if we get a second survivor, I suspect it'll be either Jill or Claire (I hope Claire, tbh)
As for the killer, I'm expecting the name 'The Tyrant' however there are a few characters it could be. Wesker, for example, Nemesis (which is probably the most well known Tyrant thanks to the movie franchise) or even Mr. X, who is also pretty popular and subject to a ton of memes thanks to the RE2 remake the other year.
That's Felix in the teaser.
But before their was Boulder Punching Chris, there was normal Chris that fans weren't sure was really Chris because they thought it was really... literally anyone else.

Because the ones that complain don't want to think before they act.
They run at her when she stands there and then complain about it when it's their fault.
They can't just sit and camp pallets.
They don't understand break LOS when she is just standing still and make their getaway.
If they took the time to play her they would know how to beat her.
Take Scott Jund's challenge. Show us how it's done.

The key change doesn't need to be difficult. Just make it so only the person using the key can escape.
That makes "Where'd They Go?" Impossible to accomplish.
-
5th anniversary is going to be Candyman. I can feel it.
-
Keys are complex. I think the simple solution is to make the hatch spawn one gen later than it currently does. That means no more 3-man escapes after 3-genning yourselves.

twins aren't even that good, you worried over some twins?
Twins are a very strong killer. If you understand the game decently well, you understand that. They aren't fun to play against, and they aren't even fun to play as. They are the worst designed killer in the game. That doesn't mean they're weak. It means they are anti-fun all around. Not fun for survivors, not fun for killers. This nerf didn't even change her power level. It just made her less fun to play. The increased cooldown on a successful down is pretty much nothing. To put things into perspective: Legion has a 4 second cooldown when their power runs out.

And that's the problematic attitude most people share. "LOL nerf them to the ground so I never have to play them again !" That would be every killer if people had their way
I'm half joking. I really don't think they're fun to face (or even play as). They need a serious rework, because as they stand right now just bad design all around.
-
The Twins are a bad killer, and I'm perfectly fine with nerfing them into the ground so nobody plays the. Your threats of "I'll just play Nurse/Spirit then" are meaningless to me if it means I never have to face twins again.
-
I'd feel bad for you for the matchmaking, but Stridor Spirit. If I found a key, I'd have left too. Messages were still uncalled for.
-
- Reduce bloodpoint costs by everything by 2000 points.
- Guaranteed 8000 BP per match for participation. Both sides.
- Dailiy's worth 30k now worth 50k, the ones worth 60k are now worth 100k.
1 cuts the grind by reducing BP costs by roughly half.
2 cuts the grind by giving people extra 8000 BP per match just for not Disconnecting. Survivors earn more BP that way. Killers earn more BP that way. That means perkless and with no offerings, max bp is 40k instead of 32k.
3 gives a way to earn more BP.

Take the challenge then, and prove Scott wrong. Become a Legend.

I've literally let all 4 survivors go before. And I've let 3 survivors go after the first survivor died to an RBT and it was just a slaughterfest until I decided "These guys seem okay. Let's make their day and let them do the gens and escape."
-
It's actually a pretty balanced map. Lot's of pallets, but no windows. Meaning resources are limited. Gens are harder to find. I often get 4k's on the map. (Yes, against Red Ranks). It just feels bad because there's 30 safe pallets, but most of those pallets can't really be looped.
-
Do it at the exit gates. That's how I got it done. Hit two survivors twice, knocking them out of the gate with the second. They were nice enough not to leave until they were downed.
-
As long as we get two good survivors (Leon or Chris, and Jill or Claire) I'll be pretty satisfied. Personally, don't think Jack would work very well as killer. I feel like they'd have to just give him the chainsaw shears, and we'd have our third chainsaw guy. Hopefully the killer is interesting, and not just a reclone of another killer.

I think he meant the next level of the current tome (1-2-3-4), not the next entire tome.
Yes, I did. I want to save points for the RE chapter, but i also want the rift points so I can reduce the grind a bit. (Though I'm already Tier 28, so I'm doing okay)
-
I play her now and then. I can't get used to her lunge range. It's always shorter than I expect for some reason and it leads to matches that aren't very fun.
-
Yeah, I hate playing Twins. I won't even hook suicide against Stridor Spirit with Mother Daughter Ring, but against twins players who know how to play them? I'm getting out of that match ASAP.
- 0 points for being chased by Victor. Which is who'll be chasing you most of the match.
- Victor is immune to spine chill, doesn't have a terror radius, and moves the speed of cloaked Wraith. He doesn't have an M1 attack to make up for it, but his hitboxes are pretty crazy. And yeah, he can be kicked. At which point Charlotte will just get him back in 5 seconds anyway. Oh, and he can go over pallets so they're mostly useless against him. Oh, and he's very small which makes him hard to see.
- You will get slugged, and you'll stay on the ground for a lot of the match unless you bring Soul Guard or Unbreakable. Super fun and engaging.
On the other end, Twins aren't even fun to play as. They're poorly designed. A strong killer, but one that's no fun. They have a long cooldown after a successful attack, but this doesn't make them weaker, just less fun to play.
Worst designed killer in the game by far. Whoever thought they were a good idea should never get to design another killer ever again.
-
Wraith is definitely not one of the weakest killers right now. I wouldn't put him in top tier, but by no means is he one of the weaker killers in the game. His movement speed buff while cloaked gives him mobility that other killers dream about.
-
Stupid question: But do you still get rift shards if you do the challenges after the next level of the tome opens?
-
I completed a rather difficult challenge (I forget which one at the moment) only to realize at the end I hadn't selected it.
-
Ghostface.
I mean c'mon. It's a killer that can teabag back.
-
I feel like they don't know what's wrong with Twins, so they just decided to do this instead. Not sure why. It doesn't fix any issues survivors have with them, and only makes them worse to play for killer (but not any weaker). The nerf just makes them less fun.

Good analisis. Ty.
Do you keep tracking your stats btw?
No, I had to stop because I took a break from DBD for a couple months and deranked. I only wanted the red rank experience. I plan on restarting eventually, though I had hoped to get others to help me compile stats so that I could reach more games. Unfortunately nobody was willing to help.
