  • I like to go against him as he makes looping feel far more dangerous and forces a shift in playstyle. But I like facing all killers that somehow mess up looping through strong chase power like spirit, nurse, PH and so on.

  • I've always felt like the issue with unfair hits towards survivors seems bigger then it is. Whenever I play survivors, most of the time, the hits that connect feel pretty fair. Yes once in a while there are some BS hits that shouldn't have happened but at least for me that happens quite rarely.

It's probably different from person to person, otherwise I have no idea how could some people suffer from them so often while others almost never metion them.

  • Huntress is also supposed to get addon pass soon. Probably together with Clown update.

Victor is a difficult killer to loop, however you really can just run around a moderate obstacle and he's screwed unless he gets a solid mindgame. Somehow. With no red stain and a huge noise presence.

    Edit: to loop NORMALLY.

I have yet to meet someone who can do it properly, either it's really hard to do, unreliable or it just doesn't work. I hope I'll meet someone who can do it well soon.

I've been playing Twins almost exclusively since release. I'm finding it almost impossible to miss with Victor's charge time and speed add ons. Pallets worked at first, but I figured out the right distance to jump over those.

Same, basically nobody has managed to loop me for any decent time yet nobody is complaing twins OP or boring.

  • Speed addons are easily the best competing only with toy sword (faster pounce charge) and slightly with lower pounce CD addon, other then those almost all are kind of useless or extremely underwhelming.

  • You'll soon change the twins to DC as well, give it a month or two.

  • Too early to say even when I'm playing twins so much and wining even more I still can't say if they're really strong or mid tierish relatively weak as most other killers, for now I consider them around higher B tier so pretty good, possibly better once I meet enough good survivros.

Also your changes are horrible, more CD and literally beiing forced to stay stuck in a spot. That's never going to happen.

  • I am playing them non-stop. My guess would be that others don't play them due to the insane amout of bugs and that very few people realise how strong twins actually are (mainly chase wise) so everyone just assumes they suck so they don't bother getting better with them.

  • I can't say 100% for sure but I think I got killed like that in PTB but that was a while ago. I'd say it should work but with all these bugs it's hard to say if it still does.

  • I'm not underestimating them, I've been calling it that eventually twins are very likely to get similar kind of hate as Deathslinger does, their chase power is pretty strong and survivors rely on killer missing a lot of the time.

Ofc that doesn't excuse the insane amount of bugs, lacking feature etc.

do you play her on red ranks ?, a horrible experience i can tell you

Ofc I do, I wouldn't comment otherwise if I stomped green rank potatoes. The wort part of playing twins for me wasn't anything gameplay based but he bugs, it sucks so much to get stuck in floor for 90s, I've almost lost a few games because of that, almost.

@Echorion I was mainly using victor in chases so it can't be only me beiing good at M1 killer (ofc my general experince and decision making had huge impact) but the fact that twins powers is actually pretty strong when you use it properly.

I'm far from mastering them and really good SWF team would very likely destroy me due to gen speeds but victor is a very strong power that can easily dominate chases and even snowball decently. I'm pretty sure I would lose far more games if I played some other killer then twins.

  • I don't know about that, I've been playing them for 5 hours straight and didn't lose single game (all were 3k or 4k games), all survivors I faced were decent at minimum even quite a few good ones. With a lot of other killers I would do far worse imao, twins are horribly bugged right now and miss a few feature but they're definetly not weak.

  • Hello and welcome back Azame, hope you'll enjoy your time back while it lasts.

Have you yet faced any really good Twins ? I feel like once all their bugs and features get fixed & added, people will start to realise how incredibly strong can victor's chase be. I consider it very close to deathslinger right now, maybe once I play enough and find some actually really good surviors I'll change my mind but right now victor feel pretty strong chase wise.

Oh, if you want, just play like that. If you think that this is good game design, go ahead. I think otherwise. And I wont change my mind.

I think it's good design to give things reasonable counterplay or downsides if the strenght of the effect warrants it.

BT has extremely strong anti snowball effect, allowing for unsafe hooks to become safe hooks that also helps vs weaker hard camping killers. Only real counterplay it has are powers/perks that disable TR, other then that saying "just don't camp" is the same as saying don't get chased when you vs spirit. It's not realistic as there are ofthen situations where you need to camp as you see survivors running at the hook etc.

Making BT proximity based would still do nothing to people who abuse camping just to ruin games of other players, people who use camping to punish dumb mistakes survivors make would be the only ones punished as it would become even more foolproof to use BT with no regard for danger or timing.

The fact that Victor and Charlotte are both there? You get close to unhook, Victor lashes on, if you chose to unhook then they switch to Charlotte and down you, then bt doesn't proc so you go down too. It's simply too good of a snowball effect for literally no effort.

And how does them both beiing there make any difference between literally any other killer stading there the same way, especially LF who make it 100% impossible to save.

If she uses victor to attack she'll get 3s CD of transition which is more then CD for basic attack making it worse then basic M1 camping. And even then if she downs you, you still have the option to use DS+unbreakable to escape anyway. Insidious on any killer does camping better then this very ineffective use of victor & chatlotte. Not even counting that there's like 6-7 other killer who can bypass BT much easier perkless.

@Aven_Fallen It's one of the few weakness of BT and even if it was proximity based it would do nothing to counter hard camping of killers who are good at it (the ones that people who want to hard camp will use). Strong effects like endurance aren't supposed to be given for free without any downsides and TR condition is very low price to pay for such a good effect.

  • And what prevents you from getting saved exactly ? You mean that if another M1 killer just stood there it would be easier then saving from killer possesing victor.

  • How dare you even hint that anything Ace puts on isn't the peak of fashion and glamor.

  • Nah, nothing trumps Legion fiasco. Still, that doesn't mean this chapter doesn't have so many problems that need fixing.

  • Wow perkless achievement, I really like that actually.

  • I have 2,5 million BP and I'll spend it all on twins the moment they go live. I loved them on PTB and I intend to play a lot of them the moment I can get my hands on them.

  • Honestly, Ruin & undying will get nerfed as too good of a killer combos usually do. Yet survivor second chance perks stacking meta remains with little to no changes.

It'd be nice to see less used survivor perks buffed so they can see some meta play, hopefully less annoying compared to the current one.

  • Well it's to be expected. You've made them lose the match (ofc on basis that they decided to chase you) with your superior chase skills thus they're salty and want to get back at you. If it's annoying you that much, you can either go down early on purpose or improve at juking (losing the chase) so that once you've wasted enough of their time in chase you lose them and survive.

It's the same as tunneling someone off early if they suck at chases, survivor gets salty for losing because they weren't able to evade or outchase the killer and take it personally. Both sides could take a chill pill if they lose insted of beiing sore losers, taking it out on the other side.

  • I know cultured thread when I see one.

  • I'm sorry if that offended you, it wasn't meant to. Your view is just a bit too extreme.

You seem to consider a strategy the same as griefing = something worthy of getting banned for. Tunneling is part of the game if killer wants to focus all his attention to removing 1 surivor he can, usually that's a bad call and results in a loss if survivors know how to play around it.

You don't see people wanting to report survivors for griefing if they finish gens under 4 minutes making killer's game miserably short. It's the same as tunneling and as equally fair way to win even if it makes the other side miserable, yet still not griefing in any form.

  • It's not like I can't beat him but clown really exploits my greed for not dropping pallets and leaving tiles. Also I get the gas blindness with him, pretty annoying.

  • @Yamaoka From what I remeber, no. I've used perks with exposed but he just latched onto survivors.

He also has weird interactions with other perks, for example when I used nurses calling I think victor doesn't count as center for it. You can see the aura but only if it's within charlottes range 28m range. That's at least how I remeber it worked.

  • I plan on playing a lot of them as I loved them on PTB (they might become my second main after slinger if I keep on enjoying them) due to the really cool playstyle of switching between 2 bodies and make the most out of both. It felt like they'll be pretty hard to master as you won't be only juggling survivors but also your bodies. I'm looking forward to getting better with them, especially with victor.

As for the build, Pop, oppression, surveillance, corrupt. I've felt on the PTB that 3 gen strat was pretty good on twins as you can chase with victor and let charlotte's body near gens. Although I'm not sure yet, I'll try as many builds & strategies as I can to see what works well for them.

  • The ultra rare is pretty easy to counter and takes insane amout if time to reach tier 3 as you need it paired with the permanent EW3 addon which together take a lot of stalk, enough to finish all gens before michael gets it.

Besides denying stalk, doing gens, stealth, noticing the mori hand etc you still have the strongest counter, the lockers. It has more then enough counterplay and good survivors who understand how that addon works don't really have a problem with beating it.

The purple tombstone is far more problematic and could use more notifications before it activates as doesn't have nearly as many downsides as the ultra rare tombstone.

  • It wouldn't, pretty much everyone would take 1 more perk that's closest to meta.

You can already do 4 fun perks on both sides without needing to use even 1 meta perk and still do fine with a non meta build. Everyone just choses not to use anything besides meta perks so 1 more slot wouldn't change anything except more imbalance.

More perk slots would just increase the amount of stacking either 2nd chance perks or gen slowdown combos making the matches even more frustrating for both sides.

  • Self care, dead hard, spine chill, 4th perk of choice. My most standart solo survivor build.

SC so that I don't have to rely on my teammates and can trade health states smartly

DH to give me the edge in chases allowing my teammates to do gens

SCH to help me vs stealth killers and improve my stealth

Not the most optimal build but it's one I really enjoy using.

  • Through pain, sweat and tears.

  • You realise it works of opening exit gates right, you can 99 them if you don't want to trigger BW. Or just leave, you can see killer picking up the survivor so leave before that or don't open gates exactly before killer hooks.

I have seen such a fatshaming spot exactly once in a Clip of a Streamer. And I have over 5000 hours, I have never seen such a spot in any of my games where the Survivor can pass, but the Killer cant.

So from my understanding they are really rare.

I've meant fat shaming spots in general, not this kind of abuseable spot that makes semi infinite. I've just meant it as can't be bothered to report every small problem with map design, I wouldn't be doing anything else if I were to nitpick every small thing that map randomiser does.

Overall I agree that BL should be removed but I'd also like devs to prevent any kind of safe spots from happening ever, even if it's rare. There's very few things that are as annoying as survivors finding a safe spot where they're uncatchable.

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1765595#Comment_1765595

The thing is, what you posted has nothing to do with Bloodlust because it should not happen at all. You should report this in the Bug Report-Section, every area of the Map needs to be accessible for both Killer and Survivor.

This is more of a Bug than anything else, but at the very least it is not an excuse to let such a mechanic stay in the game.

I couldn't count the number of times I've seen fat shaming spots, they happen pretty often, usually harmless as BL makes them useless.

If they could somehow be fixed permanently they would be long time ago, it's just the randomess of spawning system. I highly doubt there's a way to stop them from reapearing while keeping maps with randomly spawned tiles.

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1765516#Comment_1765516

So because the spawning system is wonky and creates fat-shames for Killers, a band-aid which is not needed anymore (for the most part) should stay so that Killers dont even have to try to mindgame unsafe Loops?

I mean, it can be toned down so it doesn't help in chase so much as it does now but prevent semi infinites. For example make each tier take 1min to activate. If some semi infinite is created you'll get them eventually, it will take time but it's better then them beiing uncatchable.

Not mentioning that there are ways to stop chase and disable BL for survivors even in it's current form via pallet vaulting.

  • We had much worse in the past. Twins will be fine if not, there'll be more changes in the future. I don't see any enough serious reason not to release them as planned.

  • "when you post wrong responce into the wrong thread"

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

I dont think that this is a spot where Bloodlust is needed. This is something that should not happen in general, there should be no spots where the Survivor can walk through but the Killer cant.

A tree like that can also spawn on the Swamp-Maps as a fat-shaming spot for Killers, but Survivors can pass.

So I am pretty sure it is a bug and not intended. And if it is intended to have structures like this, they should not exist.

Unforunately, this isn't intended but I don't think it's bug either. It's just that spawning system spawns a lot stuff pretty randomly and during DBD's lifetime there always were and always wil be fat shaming spots.

  • Deathslinger, can't get enough of spearing survivors.

  • I didn't buy blight with money last time as I considered him extremely unoriginal design, not caring how strong he is as he just wasn't fun for me.

This time I completely love the originality of twins and during PTB I was doing just fine with them (even with all their problems) but most importantly I had fun so yes I'll be buying them with money.

If they prove to be weak even after the changes devs are planning for them they'll eventually get buffed even more until they're fine. I understand their concers with over buffing twins through, they're significantly different from all other killers with having tow bodies on the map and victor is 150% mm speed who can down, it's very dangerous to buff him since he could easily become pretty opressive in hands of good twins player.

Overall, I think it's definetly worth to buy as you can use IS to get them without spending real money.

  • Since most people still probably don't realise, mine is this.

The new perk Coup de Grâce (increasing lunge perk) allows you to control when you use the stacks. If you do quick M1, you don't consume the token, you can save your bonus lunge distance stacks by doing quick tap M1 attacks from close distance.

Save the stacks of increased lunge when you need them to outplay loops, not on people in the open who you can fast tap without lunging.

  • These are really good changes, I love them. Can't wait for twins to release.

Although only thing I miss is the ability to climb (and survive) on debris/walls, pity the decided it's not important and didn't include it.

  • I don't like facing him much as I consider him M1 killer who runs fast for more M1 chases. Yes he can sometimes use his power in chases but it's imao very map dependant, I find it a boring power.

Still there are other killers who I dislike far more (hag, trapper) so I'd take him insted of those any time.

  • I don't know about that, BL is pretty bad. Like it's not horrible but the times it actually made real difference between catching a survivor or not are very little. Most of the time it does nothing unless you're forcing T3 which is a loss in itself.

  • I personally don't like hex perks and wouldn't mind if they got nerfed into obscurity but they're supposed to be high risk high reward.

Baseline, they're high risk low reward as breaking 1 hex is pathetically easy to do so undying fixes this and increases the consistency making it real high risk high reward as you can still lose undying early and first which makes destroying ruin easy leaving you with with only 2 perks.

There's nothing wrong with undying, it's a hex and as hexes should be, is a risky perk to use. Sometimes it can last whole game other times gets cleansed in first 30s if totem spawns are bad.

  • Over the years of playing DBD I've spent exactly 165 euros on Auric cells only, not metioning chapters or the base game. If I like some cosmetic I'll buy it just because I find it cool looking, same goes for the rift, why not buy it when I aleary have 1k AC and my rift is finished meaning I get full AC refund on it.

Yeah, please do that. Do nothing for 1-2 minutes and wait until somebody gets chased / go down. That’s gonna be of great benefit for the game.

You will make sure you already lost the match upon starting but hey.

At least you will not get found early.

I mean if he's got problem with getting found early and doesn't want to be found first then it's the best thing to do for him. Let others who might feel more confident in their chases take the aggro. I never said it was good strategy (it isn't obvisouly) but it helps his case.

It also feels like you don't play solo much as that's exactly what 50% of survivros do casually without thinking about it. I've seen legions of slowly crouching around the map survivors while I'm looping the killer for several minutes. That's just solo experience, if they don't DC instantly they still aren't doing anything usefull, you get used to it after playing solo for a long time.

I’m not rushing gens. I never said I was doing that. I’m literally taking a few steps upon starting and I’m already spotted.

I didn't say you were but it's the main reason why you might be getting spotted so early, killers need to find someone asap due to fast early gens so unless you literally do nothing and just hide they'll find you pretty fast.

Spawning system is predictable but even so killer can't spawn within some 32ish m from you so you alway have time to hide away to not be spotted first if you want to idle for a minute or two before other people get chased.
