The only nurses I don't like playing against are the super sweaty try hard ones. I mean the really sweaty ones. Its actually very satisfying to dodge nurse blinks and stun them mid attacks. Almost impossible to do that though against the really good ones.

It doesn't have to fit. Pretty much any cosmetic in DBD that isn't dirty, torn and bloody outfits doesn't really "fit" but people like them anyway. What matters is what players want. I think they could make some money selling emotes in the shop.

Fear of missing out in what way? Like, is FOMO being used to describe a marketing manipulation? Like, using FOMO to get you to participate in an event or something?
Well they can't get you to participate in anything. Its entirely up to the consumer to choose what they will consume in entertainment. Offering limited time cosmetics may persuade people to buy it more rather than if it were always available, but its always a personal choice. People forget that the main goal of any business selling a product is to make profit. Limited time and exclusive items is one way to do that especially in video games. Its clear though that a lot of people don't like it, but theres also a lot of people that don't care. If something is offered in a video game I play and I like it then I will buy it, limited time or not. I will say if it does have exclusivity attached to it then it does add a level of value to it that always available shop items don't have. Being "limited time" isn't enough for me to buy something though. The cosmetic has to be good enough for me to want to buy it.

This is pretty much it right here. Haddie just doesn't stand out in beauty and uniqueness like most of the other female survivors do. Regardless of how people feel about it doesn't change the fact that beautiful female characters sell in video games and entertainment in general. I see Kate, Yui, Feng, Meg, Jill and Mikaela all day but I can't recall the last time I saw Haddie on my team. In fact when the chapter released I think I only had Haddie on my team 2 or 3 times.

Despise FOMO microtransactions. The tactic preys on people with less than stellar impulse control and makes people with limited funds feel less appreciated. It would be one thing if the ever increasing monetization of this game led to an increase in quality. But every release shows quality control and version control is poor.
Its not their problem if people can't control themselves with how they spend their money. Its also not their responsibility to accommodate for anyone who can't afford their products. If they wanted to make $100 skins for their most popular characters it would be perfectly fine. Some people love exclusive or expensive cosmetics in games because it makes them stand out from other players. People with more money simply have access to more and better things in this world. If someone wants that kind of access then they should work towards getting to the point where they can afford it. I know everyone's situation is different, but the truth is if you have internet, own a computer and are able to invest time in playing a video game you're probably not starving and have some kind of opportunity to work towards financial freedom or at least have a little extra money to spend on things you're not entitled to. If not, they might want to spend less time playing a video game and more time doing things that will let them play their games and buy things they want in them.

At this point, it wouldn't surprise me if they actually did.
Money is the top priority of any for profit business. Its not greedy for them to monetize their work. How they do it can be criticized, but its not greedy to want to make a profit from your work.

Limited time items are nothing new to the world of gaming. While I personally prefer game cosmetics like this to be earnable within a game the truth is there is money to be made from selling something that will only be available for a limited time. Do people quit games over things like this? Maybe, but I doubt enough people would to make a difference, but its possible.

What do I think about tunneling?
Its a terrible playstyle that did nothing but ruin the survivor experience. Tunneling is one of the main reasons all of my friends quit the game and has pushed me away from it several times.
Have I ever been tunneled?
Yes... thousands of times.
Its not good for this game at all.

My cousin and I used to go all out for Halloween every year. We would go to big party supply stores and buy all kinds of crazy things. We would build haunted houses, mazes and graveyards for people to go through and always had fun jump scaring people and sometimes even ourselves. 😅 I haven't really done much for Halloween in years but back in the day I would usually just pick out a random scary mask from the party supply store and add my own customizations to it. If I ever got back into it, I would probably just do that again.

How was your killer match? Tell me about your fun......
Its pretty fun going around on my perkless level 1 Myers yoinking survivors off generators with ease. I don't like playing killer though. Not because it isn't fun but because it just isn't what I am interested in doing in the game. I only do it from time to time for shenanigans.

Mikaela's witch outfit is still the best one in the game. Feng's is really cool too. I'd like to see something for Kate this year. Maybe a witch or a ghost bride themed skin.

I play survivor for 90% of my matches. Playing killer is not fun, is not rewarding and BHVR is always nerfing killer. Thia is the exact opposite of a fair and balanced game. Put your money where your mouth is. Play killer for a substantial amount of time and tell me, how much fun it is.
There were times when survivor had to wait 10 minutes for a lobby. In these times they were very nice and didn't do anything to harass or bully the killers, because I have to inform you: for a match of DbD you need to motivate one player to play as killer. I want be able to play matches. Waiting 10 minutes for a lobby and get dodged because killer can pick their survivors is not fun. But perhaps you need it to learn the hard way.
The change is intended to change a playstyle that has been talked about publicly in a negative light for years. This change is entirely killer main's faults for continuing a playstyle that was extremely detrimental to the survivor experience of the game. Had killers simply not done this so much and for so long this change probably never would've happened and you could've gotten away with slugging that 1 or 2 survivors for more than 45 seconds. This was a big enough problem, for a long enough time, that it basically demanded something be done about it and it finally has. If people would simply play the game in a more respectable and sportsmanlike way then these changes wouldn't be necessary.

Yeah right !You never play killer if you think flashlights can’t win the game for survivors.
That wasn't the point. I meant that a flashlight itself, which has limited charges, can't be used to directly win the game for survivors. Slugging survivors for an entire bleed out WILL give the killer a win. There is nothing a survivor can do to the killer to ensure an easier win that is on the same level as slugging the whole team.

Entitled survivor spotted, who wants easy and free wins.....
A desire for balance and fairness in a game isn't entitlement. I could say the same for you with how you keep responding to this subject too. If you have to slug a survivor for more than 45 seconds then you probably also want "easy and free" wins too.

Ok lightborn should be Base kit!
Survivors can't flashlight their way to a win. Killers can leave you on the ground for full bleed outs and win. I don't see what the comparison is here other than you seem to be just picking something at random just to say it needs to change because you're unhappy with another change.

So you are ready to play killer main? Happy to hear.
I'm ready to play the game for the first time without having to worry about the killer leaving me on the ground for an entire bleed out. If killer mains are so upset that they have to quit the game instead of adjusting how they play which was detrimental to the overall survivor experience of the game then they probably didn't really care about proper balance to begin with. People will keep playing killer and as I said maybe its time for a new generation of killer mains. All they have to do is incentivize the roles. I actually think a lot of killer mains both old and new are going to like playing around the idea of not being able to slug out survivors for the 4k. I've said many times that this game needs fundamental change and I'm glad I'm starting to see that happen.

How is slugging a toxic playstyle? Slugging is something the game and specific killers have been built around. Go play Myers, Oni, Twins, or Plague without slugging and see how that works. I also suppose flashlights should be removed because they can be used in toxic ways or killers should get lightborn base kit because its mean when survivors blind them?
Its toxic because the killer is choosing to ignore you on the ground instead of putting you on the hook. It turns out being left on the ground with no option but to endure a very long bleed out so you don't get a stacking leaver penalty is not fun at all. Killers should be punished for slugging and now they will be if they choose to ignore survivors for long periods of time. This is going to stop slugging very fast because killer mains are going to quickly see that it is fruitless to do it. This is a very good change for the game and I'm glad they did it.

Oh, first guess is that killers could stop playing at all. Are you forgeting some important point? There are 5 players needed to play a match of DbD. 4 players take the role of survivors, 1 player takes the role of killer. If enough players do not enjoy playing killer, how can one play survivor? Tell me. And this is now: 👇️ stop begging for 10 minutes survivor lobbys.

Killer mains created the problem that demanded the solution. The solution happened and now killer mains are mad about it. Its amazing how when a toxic playstyle is addressed so many people suddenly decide to be vocal about it. Makes me think they were the ones participating in the toxic playstyles. Maybe its time for a new generation of killer mains.
-
I never liked moris. Back in the day they made the game very unfun to play when all they required was one hook. They happen less often now but the biggest problem with moris in my opinion is killers doing them after tunneling and hard focusing a survivor. Most moris I see happen were just that so its not hard to realize how the survivor player probably doesn't feel all too great about it. I always felt like survivors should be able to do something to the killer thats on the same level as a mori. They get unique kill animations and survivors only get to temporarily stun or blind the killer.
A survivor bouncing up and down is far less toxic than being able to brutalize a survivor to death.
-
If killer mains want survivors to stop getting base kit powers then stop playing killer in such a way that demands it.

I would say they gain ability to self-kill after slugged for 45sec count when they get down. To combat against 4min bleeding & slug for 4K.
The whole patch isnt needed.
I've also argued before for an option for survivors to give up if they are slugged for a certain amount of time. The problem I see with it though is killers slugging even more often to make survivors want to give up. I prefer the change they are making because it encourages killers to hook the survivor they downed or be punished for it. Being able to give up would be a way for survivors to leave a match they are being excessively slugged in, but its basically rewarding the killer for playing in a toxic manner. I think this is a very good change for the game and honestly one I never thought I'd see. I'm genuinely happy for it.
-
I've never seen a twins take longer than a few seconds to get to the person they downed with victor unless they decide to chase another survivor. I don't see it being a problem. The survivors being able to base kit pick themselves up after too long on the ground is a much needed change.

"I have long said that if a survivor is left on the ground for a certain amount of time then they should be able to pick themselves up. It just feels like it should be a natural part of the game. It'll encourage killer players to play the game as intended and focus more on objectives rather than trolling."
I think is natural part of game for survivors to pick up their comrade rather than doing idk what. Killer does not hold surv on the ground with pistol. Usualy he chases other survivolrs. Where is is trolling ?
If I have to explain to you why leaving a survivor on the ground for an entire bleed out is toxic then I don't think it'll even matter because clearly you see no issue with it. Killers without this change could basically ignore the hook objective entirely and just get 2 hits per survivor and win the game. It quickly shifts the advantage to the killer by simply ignoring the hook. The only thing this change does is encourage killers to hook survivors. For people that have a problem with that, you probably were part of the problem that brought about this change to begin with.
I'm glad they're taking steps to address toxic playstyles in this game. My friends who quit awhile back over things like this may actually be interested in playing the game again now.

Hmm not sure. They are fixing issues, but they are seeing it the wrong way. Mainly killers who slug don’t just slug because they are toxic. There many reasons killers do that. Play as killer you’ll see.
The problem was there were a lot of killer mains who did it just to be toxic. Downing a survivor before this would give the killer too much advantage if they left that survivor on the ground. Now killers are encouraged to not over extend their slug plays. If a killer slugged 2 survivors they gain a big control advantage over the match because it forces excessive altruism. Now they have to play around the limited time instead of gaining a long term advantage. This is a much needed balance change.

This is really good news. It lets me know they are listening to players. I felt the same way when they made the mori change awhile back. It'll encourage killer players to play the game as intended and focus more on objectives rather than trolling.

You’re gonna give survivors the ability to pick themselves up every time they get downed without needed any perks??? Why?? I understand being slugged can be boring but it’s very common when killers are trying to secure the 4k. Please make this make sense because I’m confused.
Behold! The result of leaving countless survivors on the ground for years just to be toxic.

I remember that day all too well. I'm glad there are people who weren't even alive yet, or in your case only a month old, learn about what happened on 9/11 and pay respects to the those who lost their lives and give thanks to those who responded to it. Your parents are right in that it feels like yesterday to them. It feels like that to many people, including me. Some things that happen in this world are so horrible that it does more than just become a distant memory or a day of mourning. This day scarred the soul of many people forever.

Oh there is plenty that can be done about it. I've suggested before that slugged survivors should be able to recover over time without the need of a perk. A perk should only speed up the process.

The cenobite and legion are by far the most annoying killers to play against, especially now with generators taking longer to repair. I would take playing against plague any and all day than playing against either of those 2 killers even once.

If you think they're bad now you should've seen them back before the iridescent hatchet change. They would camp and slug knowing that if anyone tried to save them they could easily instant down anyone. The camping and tunneling has long gotten old though.
