What you mentioned calls for a bug report, not a discussion. Try filing a ticket to get this sorted out. I’ve had similar experiences to you- my bloodweb regressing but it’s usually because I’ve quit the game straight after I levelled up a perk and it hasn’t been registered properly.
-
Following on from @ThGameIsHardButSoAmI , certain cosmetics would not benefit from a copy paste blood method. The whole system would look really odd if for say, a blood shirt designed for short sleeves would be on a skin with long sleeves- you’d have missing or phasing blood textures. Shirtless outfits (David I’m looking at you) would have floating textures and skins with additions (Nea/Meg/Kate/Feng’s backpack (and Kate’s cowboy hat on her back) cosmetics would have to have new textures anyway otherwise you’d be missing a patch
-
Dedicated Servers have just demolished any chance of me playing Huntress. I don’t get free hits like anyone else, my hatchets just poof on through the person because of LaTEnCy
-
I was so lucky- within around 2 months sometime last year all his perks were on the shrine and I got them from there

Fun fact: no they didn't touch the Survivor skeletons, their finger just shrinks down when the Clown "cuts it".
Must have been someone else’s assumption where I got that from, thanks for informing me! That’s super interesting
-
It’s also difficult to show dismemberment and such- they’d have to edit the actual skeleton of the survivors which then can cause some other issues - I believe they already did such a thing with clown’s Mori where they had to edit the skeleton to have removable fingers just so the clown could remove one. It’s an extra hassle that’s not necessary especially since more gore-sensitive countries may ban the game (just as @WTBacon stated)
-
I think I’d just enjoy more original chapters. They always interest me and they usually have great backstories and amazing designs. Powers were definitely unique, not all good but there’s still time to tweak them.

Map design, perk and killer buffs/nerfs and bug fixes are always getting looked at.It doesn't take much effort from the visual team to make the game more atmospheric.Oh, and also not to mention how the balance and visual team are two different teams who work on different parts of the game. And if killers not being able to see in the dark maps is so much of a problem for you then why don't they keep how the game looks right now only for killers? And it will also be canon to the lore of the game.
Survivors can have the old look and lightning back.Which would also make sense because they should always be at suspense.
And don't call me, a player who has played this game since July of 2016 an immersed survivor because i haven't been one since 3 years.
I completely agree with more atmosphere and dimmer lighting but the devs don’t seem to be all for that. I thought the new lighting for the Yamaoka Estate maps was perfect but people complained it was too dark to see survivors / see stealthy killers so someone said they were ‘looking into it’ or something along those lines.

He said it resets in chase
Aha! Glanced over that one, thank you!
-
Well this sounds fine in theory but there are 5 gen runners out there. If they don’t touch a gen then they’re going to end up with 3 crows which give the killer a notification to where they are constantly. Thus meaning say goodbye to any mind games you try to pull as survivor and would get pretty annoying for the killer if they kept receiving the notifications. Maybe there needs to be another condition to your suggestion? Like if they’re in a chase they don’t get crows either.
Edit: just now realised you included chasing in your list! Apologies.

Going to take a whole different route here. These coins were found on planet “Primus” right? The crow is definitely odd and coveted in what looks to be moonlight- perhaps symbolising the Entity’s trials? The giant structure on the bronze coin is reminiscent of the DBD logo, vaguely resembling a door even. May be a bit of a stretch but maybe this is proof that knowledge of the Entity exists elsewhere in the universe, planet “Primus”. Considering this is on the back of a coin, maybe this is a form of currency on Primus and therefore could hint to the Entity being worshipped and known as sovereign there? I’m not sure at all, I’m just pulling theories out of nowhere for this one... maybe we’ll get the answer by the 4th level of the tome through the Revelations or the Observations stories? Only time will tell.

Competitively, the meta builds are great but they’re not always fun- pretty sure it has been stated this game isn’t competitive in its nature, it can’t be with the way ranks work anyway, complete calamity. Either way, Head On builds, Houdini builds, MoM and Second Wind, I find them so fun and satisfying when they work right! No amount of Adrenalines and Decisives are going to get me that same satisfaction. Gotta love me some Mettle of Man!

I laugh when I see people say keys are OP. It's your fault as a killer for letting them get the required amount of gens done to get hatch or didn't notice they had a key. Ebony Moris are way more OP because they can literally end a survivor's game in a few minutes. A key really cannot, unless you kill all 3 quickly and the last one got the hatch. But even as killer, I feel it's fair. We get to shut the hatch which is what many killers wanted for so long, so it is fair they can reopen them. The closing of the hatch did what it's supposed to do, stops hatch standoffs.
The fact is they ARE OP. They can change the entire tide of the game in seconds. You could have an extremely strong 3 gen, the survivors’ fault that would be, yet they had a key and completely undo THEIR mistake. Yes, Ebony is much more OP but at the same time, if a key and an ebony faced each other, the person with the key or anyone who picks up that key is out unless they get Mother’s Dwelling or Swamp- those maps are awful for finding the hatch.
Edit: also just noticed what you said about ending the game in minutes - survivors do that anyway without the killer needing a Mori, we can all agree gen times are a bit messed up with toolboxes and the whole game can be completed in less than 2 minutes.

but you dont need co-op actions, if you have items. You can do it all alone.
Would you like to escape without powering generators? - grab a key. ♿️☑️
Would you like to quicky do middle generators alone- grab 180 charges toolbox (140% boost). ♿️☑️
Would you like to heal 70% faster than in co-op and without Botany- grab a med-kit. ♿️ ☑️
Keys, I will admit, are pretty overpowered. Your point with toolboxes, also relevant but that’s why they’re getting nerfed. There is no need to get rid of medkits however. Most of the med kits have 16-24 charges meaning you can’t get more than one complete heal off of them. The Very Rare med kit you can get 2 heals off of (this is all without add-ons of course). None except the Emergency Med kit speeds self healing up- i mean, that’s what 90% of the time medkits are used for after all. It takes a normal heal time - 16 seconds and can only be used once or twice without add-ons. Realistically, you wouldn’t get a chance to even heal against a good killer and some killers completely punish medkit healing if played right -Plague, Legion, occasional Billy and Leatherface.

If that was the case then you would never get to run any exhaustion perk. Dead Hard, just don't use it. Lithe, just don't use it.
Yes add-ons can cancel it by adding exhaustion. Just like they can cancel any other exhaustion perk. It definitely wouldn't be so meta. Which is the point. What would be the new go-to? This would still let it function just not quite to the extreme that it's on right now.
Exhaustion would not only counter speed burst perks then, as clown especially, you could just negate all borrowed time and just camping it out. Don’t get me wrong, I think it’s a great idea and could work out well but you have to find the little issues that can be exploited and make the game unfun - eg spamming exhaustion bottles as clown, prevent any exhaustion perk, including the new BT and be able to sit and camp. Sure, it’s not effective in any way to win a game but I’d be it makes the game pretty boring for the hooked survivor.

If you want to not go against Knock Out you can run Empathy but it seems like a waste only to negate one perk which you likely won’t even see in most matches...
-
I think the OP has the right idea about this - you’re essentially playing with 3 perks the entire game plus you actually have to get to the stage of completing all gens and that is completely reliant on your teammates to do a good job at distracting the killer and working efficiently while you’re distracting the killer. Most of the time I see Blendettes in bushes when I play survivor.

Absolutely hate this map as Clown.
Not a lot of the pallets are loopable and people are generally encouraged to just sit at the pallet, drop, run to the next one, repeat for the entire game. It sucks when people do this on the other maps but there's always the chance one or two of the survivors will try to loop. This map actively encourages you to play in such a way that's extremely boring and makes my power next to useless (outside of throwing it down the pipe so a survivor lands in the gas after that long drop. That's fun)
Really? That’s an interesting view on it, I main Pig and Clown so Pig is pretty good for this but I find Clown is excellent when it comes to the higher floors where there are less pallets and more open space so you can slow down survivors and jog right up to them. Super useful with an anti-healing build too!

You just won't be able to run SB with BT. Like any other combination of exhaustion perks that don't work together.
Like you can't run DH and SB. Same concept.
It was more so about the exhaustion factor. Sprint burst means you have exhaustion all the time so no BT, can’t save a friend in need. Blood echo means you can’t use BT while injured, every add on that has to do with exhaustion means you can’t use BT, with Pig’s traps and the slow release toxin, can’t use BT. It’s too counterable if you get what I’m saying. Chances are you won’t get to use BT at all because you’re going to likely run into these exhaustion killers- Pig, Huntress, Demogorgon, Oni, Clown. (Especially the clowns and huntress, I see lots of exhaustion add-ons because they can’t afford a sprint burst or dead hard.) I don’t see the point in running it if it’s so easily countered. Throw a bottle and poof, no help for the hooked guy, hatchet to the face? Move on. Stepped on Demo’s portal with the Whistle (I think that’s the add-on), nope, no save for you. Your idea is brilliant but it is so easily countered Id ask myself is it worth running.

Healing perks and items can be nerfed. Survivors have no trouble to tank any amount of damage. IMO, only helping each other should allow fast healing. Then fast healing would require survivors at least to co-op. Items shouldnt be stronger than co-op actions.
Toolboxes, obviously, shouldnt speed up repairs after Ruin nerf. They must be completely changed. Repair speed boost should be removed. Toolboxes should only decrease failed skill check penalty (help noobs) or give bp bonus for hitting great skill checks.
DS need a tweak. If survivor do anything but healing onself or running away from killer, DS deactivate. BT could use a tweak, too, because survivors run behind killer and instantly unhook. There is no counter to it when 2 survivors do it. BT should have activation delay of 3s. If I camp, ok, you can use BT, if I dont camp, get punished for unhooking in my face.
I have a few issues with what you’re saying there, if you don’t mind me pointing out. I thin items being stronger than co-op actions (not including keys, maps, the purple gen toolbox) are fine. They have charges and will run out- whereas co-op actions are infinite and the whole process can be sped up by Leader, Botany, Autodidact, Solidarity. Toolboxes are already getting nerfed substantially and an item should be able to be used by everyone not to ‘help out the noobs’. Sorry if I sound mean, that wasn’t my intention :)
-
I don’t really have a problem with BT unless someone tries to block- the exhaustion perk idea seems cool but that means you can’t use it with Sprint Burst at all unless you walk to the hook... maybe they can slightly decrease the timer, remove collision from the survivor for this time and give the unhooker killer instinct for the duration of the BT to increase the stakes. I’m not too sure what to do to it really - just kinda popped out! You could also disable its usage while injured so the name becomes a bit more literal, “Borrowed” time
-
Hardcore Pig main here! She has a built in map pressure mechanic, stealth and a long attack (ambush) so pretty well rounded! You can also boop the snoot😂
-
Occasionally! Not very often but when I’m playing with friends I usually put it on as they’re pretty confident and go for saves with Borrowed. The 25% less time on saves, helps with getting me off the hook safely, and heals, when we have a little more time, is pretty helpful in those situations.

The problem with it though is that the killer should be able to slug you. Slugging you is a form of slowing the game down with pressure without actually killing you in an unfair manor where you can't stop it. Being slugged off the hook sucks for sure, but so does an unhooked survivor instantly getting on a gen and knowing you can't stop them because they just hop in a locker.
They can still slug you- slug until they hook the next person and come back for you. It requires more skill than downing you, proxy camping you and waiting 60 seconds to pick you up.

They could dodge to get eachother as "solos" instead of joining as a party, like people did before SWF was added in general to play with friends. All you do then is reserve the advantage for people that go more out of their way to get it, like games that hide FOV settings or something in .ini files and the like. Anyone can do it, but not everyone knows how to or can be bothered to do it.
I see 0 point in this whatsoever. Sure, you may or may not get a game with another person in your SWF but I bet it’d be almost impossible to get a whole 4 man or even 3 man into one lobby simply from dodging over and over. The person in the lobby the others are joining into also can’t have anyone else join aside from their group and have to withstand the automatic 60 second match timer, adding to the total number of dodges. It might be more manageable through PC due to the regions but on console, I don’t believe there are limits to what countries players can come from. Overall, this method would be a complete waste of time to get a SWF in a game by joining as solos.

It only buffs Survivors who don't chea-- er, I mean work together, with voice chat.
The SWF's are already coordinating their perks and items. Solo Survivors can't? And you wonder why the game cannot be balanced... There are three entities on the balancing board (Killers, Survivors, and Groups with voice chat) instead of just two (Killers and Survivors).
By making this change to the perks, you’re not balancing anything. We don’t need to raise solo queue survivors to the tiers of SWF we need to do the exact opposite. I get that we need to bridge the gap more but more coordination with survivors may not be the best idea
-
It also once again buffs survivors and that’s not what we need right now. If one guy is bringing Prove Thyself it’ll give the incentive to bring a toolbox and get everything done faster. Could be a nightmare with head on too. It’s already a pain to see someone in game have No Mither let alone in a lobby. Dodge-central right there.
However, I really do agree with the Camaraderie point- I think it needs to be known when a hooked survivor has Camaraderie ready to be activated, it would make the perk so much better.
-
May be unpopular but I definitely think it should. It prevents you from getting slugged and the killer timing it to avoid DS. Sometimes I get killers who like to stand on my body and literally wait. It’s boring for me. Yeah, my teammates get extra time on gens but where’s my fun ;-; . I feel like DS should just work differently. Having DS activate until another person is hooked seems like a pretty sufficient method to me, easily counter-able by simply playing the game!
-
My game is usually good with protection hits, especially after the patch that improved them. Might have something to do with Dedicated Servers or the game not recognising a carried/hooked survivor as injured? Not entirely too sure.
-
You have some great ideas in there and I appreciate all the effort put into this! However, as thought out as the Entity’s Curse is, the Devs will likely never add old ruins effect back as it is inconsistent and can be easily avoided by good players but badly affects the newer players. All in all, some good suggestions here though!
-
This may be a bit controversial but I honestly love the perk tiers! The grind I will agree, is a tad frustrating but seeing my perks go from uncommon to rare to (occasionally) very rare is very satisfying - plus the Devs would have to think a bit about discordance. I don’t think I could physically handle the amount of notifications from tier 3 all the time...
-
I really like this idea! Both effects together would be a nasty combo! I really like Third Seal and think it could be an amazing perk with extra effects.
-
I’m starting to run more and more ‘forever’ builds consisting of Dying Light, Thanataphobia, PGTW and Corrupt Int. Used to think these builds were toxic and unnecessary but ever since the ruin change, some killers need this slowdown badly because they have no evident map pressure whatsoever. If I see any toolboxes I put on slowdown add-ons too- Billy’s purple chain add-on, Huntress’ gen repair add-on, Freddy’s chains and ropes, etc.
-
Heck yeah! It’s 500 blood points in about 8 seconds, not bad.
-
I need more Jeff cosmetics...
-
Thank you very much!
It happened while I was waiting to get into a lobby, I was messing with the Quick Menu on PS4 and it played, it was weird!

That's a little hard to believe Kai. What rank are you if you're just starting out? For four hours you get nothing but SWFS with OoO and commodius toolboxes. Why not just dodge after you notice the pattern? If PS4 is anything like xbox you can check profiles with the click of a button and see that they are friends/swf before the match. I do think that SWFs are more prevalent on console, tho. Console players just have the mentality of playing with friends and also tend to be younger in age than pc players. Also, as a huntress if they are teabagging at pallets or windows, that's primetime right there. How are you not capitalizing on them standing still?
I too am a survivor main just getting into killer, but you may want to try and switch up your killer if you notice a pattern of OoO players. Ghostface can't be seen with the perk when shrouded. I think its the same for pig when crouched and Freddy outside the dreamworld. Doc will make them unable to use styptics in tier 3 madness. Also if you see a lot of medkits and suspect swf, The Plague might be a better choice too.
Firstly, I never said I was starting out. Next, I said mostly. In those 4 hours I played around 12 games ish, 8/12 were SWF, the other 4 either contained 2-man or solos. Plus, I have still have the original PS4, in the minute it gives you until it starts the game, I can only get up around 2 accounts, it's rather slow. The teabagging, although yeah is prime time, its usually over obstacles I'm not too keen on hitting over, eg. the junk loops on Azarov's, any vehicle loop, the taller Temple of Purgation wall loops, etc.
I would switch up my character but I'm going for the Skilled Huntress achievement since I've gotten all the other killer power achievements. I feel a little scummy putting on the Iri Head but at the same time, that puts my hatchets down to 1/2/3 depending on the add-on and since I'd be going for snipe shots, I don't think that's a good idea.

Nurse's blink bugs are partly related to dedicated servers. The more severe cases (where you are outright unable to blink at all) got introduced with her rework. And Clown's bottles not working is an issue that has been in the game pretty much since he was first released (thats whooping 26 months by now).
Any chance you can tell me more about the clown bottle issue? I’m an avid clown main and have never had an issue with them except for a couple times where I throw the bottle, the bottle lands over yonder but the gas cloud forms elsewhere. I don’t play nurse that often but I’ve never seen the no blink bug either.

Dont forget all the other killer bugs. Nurse's blinks and post-blink lunges, Myers/Ghostface stalking, Clown's bottles, Hag's post-teleortation lunge, Spirit's phasing sound within terroradius, Wraith's lightburn, et cetera et cetera.
Loads of bugs negatively affecting killers completely ignored and not addressed by the developers. Meanwhile on the survivor side there is barely any bugs, apart from very rare occurances like the stuck in healing position, or the basement bug.
Most of the things you mentioned, besides Spirit and Lightburn are relating to dedicated servers so we may never see a change for them.

Monstrous shrine: survivors unhooked in the basement become oblivious and exhausted for 40/50/60 seconds. Survivors who unhook in the basement are afflicted with Blindness for 60 seconds. For 60 seconds after a survivor is unhooked in the basement, survivors with blindness can't unhook or heal within 28/30/32m of the basement.
Basically make monstrous shrine a tool to help enable basement snowballing. Also works as a DS timer and synergizes with MYC.
That would be brutal! I think that would be a great addition tbh but I’m not entirely sure about the not being able to heal 32m of the basement- it would mean that in the Game you wouldn’t be able to heal in 4 tiles around the basement, or anywhere above the basement for that matter- but aside from that, I think it would be a solid perk from then onwards, prevents Styptics and would be awesome on Leatherface.

I hear the devs think monstrous shrine isn't a perk where shifting numbers will help, and that it needs a rework. Have you seen my monstrous shrine suggestion? It's kind of complicated, but I like how it turned out.
No I haven’t! What was it if you don’t mind telling me, or directing me to the post?
-
Fixated - Make it last while uninjured but drop the percentage to 5%/10%/15%
Monstrous Shrine - Gain a token up to a maximum of 5 when you hook someone in the basement.
For each token, any hook grants the bonus of 3%/4%/5% faster Entity progression.
3%/6%/9%increased escape attempt difficulty
10%/12%14% increased penalty on failed escape attempts.

I play PS4 and I am seeing so many when I play later in the night against US players and such. Had a run in with OoO SWF for a while now too. Not much fun as you can imagine
