  • It's not that I usually think I'm invisible; more often than not I'm trying to stay out of your FOV

But their shouldn't be anything that makes killers fear something, ever.

I mean you might as well give every survivor a loaded gun, and have them kill the killer.

The main concept and purpose of this game, was to make survivors feel defenseless and the killers powerful, not the other way around.

Ever since release, killers have always got the crappy end of the stick, from 4 man swf, to gen rushing, etc, etc.

I mean even the devs at one point where mocking the way killers were back then.

Hell the title itself says "Dead by daylight" not "Escape by daylight"

But with all these add ons, perks and so on, it's become nothing more then a chase, tbag and escape sort of game...

Well if they arent incentivizing killers to not tunnel this is a solution to a problem that makes survivor terrible to play. Especially solo.

And we can't really talk about addons and items on the survivor end when items like judiths tombstone and iridescent heads exist. Also Moris. In fact both survivor and killer items/addons are meant to be powerful and abused.

Thats the problem; not all killers can apply pressure to everyone like nurse and billy; when your dealing with a 4 man claudette swf; all caring SC, SB, purple items and so on; its rather difficult to apply pressure even when your meaning to?

Your basically saying that killers should be punished for doing their objective?

At the end of the day you dont need a 4k every game. Just like how survivors shouldn't think they can escape every game.

Learn to adapt, not tunnel and play your best. Doing things like chasing and hooking also help you rank up.

All counterplay gets removed, no dribbling, no indicator that someone might have DS to prepare (while survivor still get all sort of notifications for every possible surprise).

(The only true counter to DS is simple, hard camp. Don't let them off the hook, first hook = last hook = no DS. Sounds fun, huh?)

Skillcheck gets easier, so UP and Madness won't stop it anymore.

Stunreduction is still "under review" and I expect it to not make it live.

Survivor don't need to be the obsession and wiggle for certain amount of time, so all 4 can pick DS now with no drawback.

Since there is no way of knowing killer have either to slug and risk a pick up to wait the timer out, or just eat the DS.

Enduring is only a "soft counter" IF the actual "stun" is 3 seconds and not again some shinanigans with animationtime doesn't count or some similar crap, like before.

And in a drive by all killer obsession perks get trashed (DL, STBFL, PWYF, Remember me).

Which also result in no tactical gameplay around the obsession anymore.

It got its stun weakened, it now has a pre-requisete, and can be denied activation by slugging.

If you're that scared: dont tunnel, run deerstalker and enduring or something to counter it.

    Adapt.

  • Tunneling may be cool on the killer end but think of how survivors feel about it.

If you get tunneled the only fun you'll have is running the killer. In most cases you just get killed and lose out on so many possible bloodpoints which survivors already gain less of.

Tunneling shouldn't be normalized and I'm glad they're encouraging killers to not tunnel by giving them a new fear

  • I really hope that the upcoming update doesn't just have the DS rework and the new chapter.

Hatch kind of needs to be survivor sided

If it can be closed immediately there is no way a survivor can win.

Balance at last for DS, It's amazing 🤗

I never really used DS that much but I would run it it if I experienced tunneling too often and got fed up but I would feel guilty knowing how ridiculous it is

Knowing it's going to be balanced and help make it so killers dont tunnel will be great.

The New obsession perk is actually going to be useful against it as well considering obsessions can change

I hate this "adapt" bullshit. 60 seconds currently is so long that you could not be tunneling at all and still eat it. the new DS will still rob you of a hook if you're unlucky, difference is that it won't cost you earlygame pressure now.

Survivors should not get perks that give free escapes in the first place, let's just be honest but sadly this is how it is currently.

Survivors hated getting told that when the exhaustion rework took affect

  • I get the ability to not play a game against an ebony mori, iridescent head huntress

  • They better not think of nerfing new DS when they literally just added in a slugging perk to counter it

  • Meant to say Anti-Tunnel

  • Sucks to know that ace has one good perk thats not even reliable

  • That's like removing textures to make the game balanced

  • I play a game to have fun.

Doesn't mean I can't get scared while doing so

Did I miss something? Last I checked, survivors are the ones complaining about both DS and NOED.

You didn't see that hilarious post about someone complaining DS being buffed?

I figured that was a troll post. Poe's law at work, I suppose...

I was referring to that post but it seems a few people I've found believe the perk will be too strong or that it already needs a nerf to its duration before even seeing how it will play.

  • @Tzeentchling9 said:
60 seconds is too long and the fact that the killer can not do anything for that 60 seconds far outweighs other drawbacks. I don't know if I'd call it a buff yet, but it's definitely not a nerf.

I think the devs took the Survivors whining about tunneling too hard to heart, while ignoring the importance of encouraging safe unhooks.

Don't tunnel then you'll be fine

  • I DC when I see Ebony Mori.

If a killer is validated for DCing because of DS then I expect the same for an Ebony Mori. Ridiculous offering.

I like the second change to BO but it should still be at 25/50/75

Why should the wiggle effect stay at the current stats? Just curious because imo the additional aura block isn’t quite enough to give it that umph.

Honestly it should just block hook auras entirely.

the extra 75% effect is just a commodity that's easily dealt with. I don't think it's that big of a deal to keep it.

I was once frustrated with it too until I learned how unfun is getting gen rushed by swf. You didn't even reach the first gen and two popped.

Run NOED. It's meant to counter Gen-Rush

You're not going to convince dodgers not to dodge. That's simply not possible. The best you can hope for is that the devs fix the reasons why they dodge. Personally, I don't bring in items and rarely use offerings, but thanks to my teammates, I still get dodged.

There are so many ways to help make items less usable. Nurse's, Coulrophobia, Overwhelming, Franklin's, Lightborn, Ruin, NOED to help with people who Gen-rush...I don't understand.

Six out of the seven perks you mentioned are teachables from six different killers, four of whom are from paid DLCs. The seventh can be disabled before it ever activates. Also, killers, like survivors, only have four perk slots. They can't afford to run every single perk just to counter items. Dodging is easier, so they go with that instead.

It's really simple. Look at the items they have; pick a perk or two to counter them.

You can't complain about someone not having perks when the SOS exists and if the killer doesn't want to level up others; that's their problem. Not the survivors.

Just make it where the number of totems left on the map are shown in the HUD or via the perk Small Game.

That way, you know if there's a totem left

That way, you know whether to be cautious of NOED or not.

As a survivor main, that wouldn't be fair to killers.

Just make it so noed effects more people as its leveled so it's not as good on level 1; like ruin.

  • No. It cannot count for sacrificed/killed survivors. It would be ridiculous and make end-game impossible. Especially on killer like the Nurse, Huntress and Hillbilly.

I have no sympathy for a 4-person SWF with DS. Sorry. Much less after you causing a hatch standoff.

I don't have sympathy for face-camping/tunneling killers but everyone seems to defend them.

Stop your grudge and look at game balance instead of being a dumb troglodyte who's clouded by salty feelings because they got out-played.

  • If they add more totems to maps I expect a sufficient nerf to NOED.

With every patch solo survivor gets worse. At that point why even play survivor anymore, solo.

Reverse Bear Traps kill people trying to escape through the Hatch. :P

They don't? I thought they did; I'm always afraid to escape through the hatch if I have one on

Good thing the weapon sizes don't matter then.

It's impossible to have them look accurate when a character with an axe shares the same hit radius as a character with with a switchblade.

Every killer would have to have their own weapon hitboxes and the bigger ones would be at an advantage.

I literally only meant this as a joke

You know the current DS has no counterplay right?

    ?????

    Enduring, Dribbling? Those aren't counters?
