I wish for your recovery to be as fast as possible. You seem to be handling it really well and have a very positive attitude!
What server and platform do you play on? I would like to verse a Spirit as I see her rarely and always get my butt kicked. If you're up to it that is and as long as the geography and platforms allow it.

I hope not, both as a survivor & killer.
I would rather get facecamped and move on to next game than working on a gen with a bot. If this goes live, this game will literally end for me.
No bots should make their way into a PvP (I know some games have it but it's still a no no for me).
Thank you. I thought I was the only one who was weirded out by this. PvE is ok as long as it's another mode though.
-
Didn't all killers get a Bloodlust buff just when the meta shakeup happened?
What if they get mobility and play with their stronger + strongest add-ons? How would that be balanced?
-
@toxik_survivor , @NMCKE I don't wanna sound ungrateful, but bots are terrible in PVP games. I would totally be up for a bot mode PVE.
For me, getting a bot teammates in PvP after dc is worrying that it might normalize having more bots in the pvp mode, imagine getting a bot Killer in solo or even a bot teammate from the start. Maybe I'm too sceptical?

An older Laurie from the more recent Halloween films would be an awesome skin. If we had to go full legendary a Loomis skin would also be, well, legendary.
Since the majority of RE characters have been released as legendaries already it's a bit harder to come up with one here. However when I heard we were getting a Legion RE legendary I immediately thought of this from RE5:
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/IXSHFWXSEK7A/3e5cbcbf0d9b8e6c273374c1504d2f9a.jpg
I couldn't find a better picture but she's one of the main antagonists of the game and her bird lady outfit suited Legion's aesthetic of running and stabbing perfectly. I was convinced we were getting it to be honest. Certainly wasn't expecting HUNK who sticks out like a sore thumb unfortunately. She would've fit in perfectly alongside Wesker.
We don't really have many older ladies, Laurie could be an interesting skin. I like your idea.
-
Guess you haven't played solo survivor recently...
If I know the game is unwinnable I just try my best, eh.
I've lost many unfair games where the killer wasn't even that good and it was perfectly winnable. To me that's even worse.
Sometimes you also have a bad day and you make bad decisions, it happens. If you go on a 40 winning spree, then it's likely you might go on a 15 losing spree as well at some point. It can happen. You don't have to think too deeply about it.

https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/JH6UXA9AN1LM/doctor-weapon-flashing-bug2.png
Something in this cosmetic set I am using makes the entire screen flash when the Doctor is on screen at any point and OMG it is HORRIBLE in game. I can only imagine what would happen if someone prone to seizures had this same setup.... Pointing it out as soon as I noticed it...
My cosmetics are as follows:
Head - "AUTO-LOBOTOMIZER"
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/HRRO6GCU4PXU/ab-png.png
Body - "FLESH UNION"
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/9EK5JFEHTUMD/flesh-u-png.png
Weapon - "VOLTAIC RAY"
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/MOD89BFDTM94/voltr-png.png
I am pretty sure the weapon is the culprit due to the amount of flashing when you simply swing and hit a Survivor or any part of the environment also. Here is to hoping this gets fixed not months from now as some person out there could run into serious trouble being unaware that this can occur with these cosmetics. Screen flashes on the main menu when you have The Doctor selected and in Killer lobby viewing front on or over the shoulder view and AN IMMENSE amount of times during a game in the 1st person camera perspective.
Let me know if any of you are able to replicate this.
Oh, btw where is the FOV Slider?Survivors will be doing you a favor flashlight blinding you when you trigger that effect.
It looks painful. I can only imagine if someone is not in a well-lit room.

Dude, I have a friend that would be so HYPED for Natla or Sophia to come back. But honestly, it would probably be the newer Lara and not the older sterner version. :/
It would make a bit more snese to have newer Lara in DBD than old-school. Old-school had guns and fought monsters. It makes no sense to make her so much weaker. to fit DBD. New one leans in more to her human-like qualities.
But I'd be thrilled if old lara could be a skin, but lore-wise I think she doesn't fit.
This would make for an awesome skin though, if they just changed a few things to make her aesthetically fit DBD.
@Chadku said:

Junji´s doing NFTs, Netflix got the Macabre Collection coming soon and who knows when Uzumaki is coming.
I haven't read Tomie (if I'm not wrong about the image). but I love how positively creepy she looks. Would love to see her in.
And since we're in the topic of anime/manga. After AoT, maybe I'd be into getting some Bleach skins for DBD, although Bleach is not as big as anymore. Dredge would be very fitting for a hollow-inspired design. The monsters looked really cool. And instead of going for the anime uniform they could go for a more streetwear look, as Tite Kubo drew pretty fashionable covers. My personal favorite was Yoruichi, she'd make an awesome Elodie skin, but unfortunately she doesn't have many modern clothes.
But the main characters do.

It's interesting that kill rate for soloq if you have a tunneling killer i a little over 3k (if I'm being precise it's 3.2k)
But for SWF it's 2.8k. I wonder if having a friend meant they could take some attention away from you and come help you?
Like if 3.2k is the real rate for tunneling in soloq and you want to win, that is the way I guess. The winrate for soloq for killers is 61% using this strategy and 60% for duo-SWF according to your stats.

1) 3 swf committed to gens while I was facecamped by Doctor (looped him for two first gens and was the very first hook in the game). They didn't even try to exchange, repaired all three left gens (together with Proof) right by the time I died and then died too because of no way out and noed. At least I saw them unhooking each other, I was worried they don't know they can.
2) Two randoms in The Game map were repairing gen in bathroom while I was hooked right under them in the basement. My swf friend were chased on the other side of the map, and those two goofed around this gen constantly changing repairing spots while I was dying below them. My friend was able to break the chase and save me after I hit second stage.
3) Two shirtless Davids did nothing. They walked together, t-bagged in basement (saw them via Kindred), blocked me in the basement after I brought white glyph there, didn't repair. Killer didn't kill them because saw they do nothing, instead hooked them twice and let them be. They weren't trying to farm or give out positions of others and killer wasn't trying to farm either, it was just miserable and pointless game 2v3. Killer just killed two others (me and my friend) and proceed to farm points on Davids (or maybe even let them repair 4 gens and let them escape, I wasn't in the mood to spectate them so long). I don't know what were their intentions but... well.
Number two has happened to me too. People duo-ing a gen and another one chased and one of the duo only comes after I hit stage two or never.
Another annoying part is when someone has no hooks and they never go for the save or trade healthstate but play all stealthy, when we could have saved someone that way and then they leave first once exits are opened or die on first hook lol.

The Neon City map would be a great map to use, and certainly more variety to the current selection of maps. I'm all for that!
The RE Mansion, absolutely! Just remove some of the furniture (imagine looping around that bloody dining room table!).
And I'm all for Silent Hill maps, although my prefered choice would be South Ashfield Heights Apartments. It's not as well known, but again a map with more than 2 levels and the detail that can be put into thay would be amazing.
As for maps I'd like to see:
1. Maps based on survivors. These could be maps that exist to torture existing survivors with warped memories or bastardised versions of things they like...
So, for example, a) Claudette Morel - The Flesh Garden: a map replicating a botanical garden, complete with sizeable greenhouse area, but all plants are made of flesh and bone, and occassionally you will hear the whimper or cry, which impacts on both her empathic nature, her awkward social nature, and her interests.
b) Nea Karlsson - Zyderr Production Mill: A open-planned factory with lakes of toxic liquid both inside and around. Badly-scrawled graffiti flakes off into the air and flitters in the air like dust and a couple of dead bodies are about. Represents the futileness of Nea's social justice attempts, the environmental issues she fights taking over, and innocent victims.
Anyway, other maps I'd like beyond survivor maps:
2. The Nostomo: The spaceship from "Alien"
3. A harbour port from Victorian times. Thinking something like "Dishonored"
3. A Panoptican prison.
4. A wasteland, like Fallout, with a heavier focus on environmental disasters.
5. A waxwork museum (for an added creep factor).
6. The trenches from WWI, with barbed wire walls, trenches and some woodland.
There are many awesome ideas here. Silent Hill 4 needs some love, although I haven't played it yet I really like the concept of being stuck in your house and all the weird stuff that entails.
If we ever get DMC skins for RE characters (cause Capcom), I would love to see the Gothic castle from DMC 3 for an indoor map and the streets with the bars and stuff from the first maps, for outdoors and maybe we can have the bars to go inside.
I'm surprised no one has mentioned an abandoned subway station yet. Those seem like such a stable modern horror element.

It was around march 10, so right when (or right after) Sadako was released. Haven't found any news about announcing in-game discounts themselves, unfortunately, but as far as I remember skins have discounts both in shards and cells at the same time. It should be the same with characters sales too and character sales aren't rare. You can expect those near to huge events and new chapter releases, I think.
Oh I see, thank you very much!

Nico (DMC5) skin for Rebecca.

I would also like to see a Clocktower but from the Clocktower game. ANd the Mansion from Haunting Ground as well as the Japanese mansion from Fatal/Frame Project zero. I feel the first two are more possible since they are owned by Capcom.

Maps and related things I'd love to see
- The Overlook Hotel from The Shining. Both the hotel and its topiary maze would make for cool maps.
- The Event Horizon ship. (Such a great and creepy movie!)
- A killer I'd love to see is a Medusa that inflicts conditions on survivors who have her in their field of view. (Kind of like how they break Ghost Face out by having him in their field of view but in reverse where the survivors get Blind or Hindered or Incapitated or Exposed, etc, over time.) Alongside that though would be a map which is either a cavern or garden littered with the statues of her unwary victim and animals that passed through.
- A barricaded shopping mall, ala Dawn of the Dead and such.
- A sewer system or underground complex, ala the old Hawkins map.
- A haunted battlefield. Could be a medieval battle, or a Civil War or World War I or II style battlefield. (Which era it is would probably depend on what killer if any is associated with it.
- A creepy ghost cruise ship. (On a tangent, Triangle is an awesome creepy movie centered on an abandoned cruise ship, well worth seeing! 😄)
Those are some great ideas. Not gonna lie.
-
Probably the duos who both get at stage 2 when we've only done 2 gens and they never do gens.
The others one was a Leon who was blocking a doorway in RPD that led to the exit gate and we'd finished all gens. Annoys me to this day.
-
That would fit Yui really well. Kind of disappointed we didn't get a new Map with the latest chapter but simply a rework.

I'd never thought of that. It reminds me of a game called, the Suffering on ps2. That was also a horror game about a prisoner, haven't played it yet though.
A theme park map would also be fun, imagine being able to ride some of the attractions.
-
I guess Sprint Burst? It's my go to exhaustion perk. I'm also getting used to DH but I feel my latency doesn't help with using it at its maximum.
The rest I try to change up between survivors so I can try different combos and see which ones I like and maybe not get overly dependent on one.

I've been playing a lot more Survivor than I normally do as of late, trying to work on Survivor challenges from the Archives. Being a Killer Main I normally only play one Survivor game a night but the past few days I've been queueing more and more just to try and get these things done and I just don't understand how anyone can stand this [excrement] enough to play it as their main mode for this game.
Camping Killers. Tunneling Killers. The same builds on the same Killers over and over again or even just playing against the same Killers time and time again (looking at you Mastermind). Solo Queue teammates standing in corners while healthy doing nothing or hiding in lockers when the Killer isn't around or about to hook someone. People not committing to gens or unhooks or heals giving the Killer free downs and pressure.
I just. How do you deal with it? How do you ever have any fun?
Play solo Survivor if you want to build character.
The problem is mostly the lack of communication. There have been quite a few games where games seem very winnable and the killer is not overwhelming us but they go wrong. Or someone goes to second stage cause no one is saving them at 3 gens although he is the first hooked.
Sometimes it does feel like the game is Killer sided, but I guess mostly cause killer can only depend on themselves. But survivors have to co-ordinate and not being able to communicate your intentions at all with your team is a pain. I've being playing lol for a long time and obviously there is toxicity but at least you could always communicate with your team even as solo. And when they added the ping system you could communicate stuff even faster. Like having no mana, low hp. Where you're going etc.
So when I started DBD I was dumbfounded at the complete chaos that is solo-q.
Imagine being able to co-ordinate a save from a facecamper, Like saying "I'll stand in front of killer" and the other guy saying "i'll unhook".
Or being able to say "let's do that gen over there so we don't 3-gen ourselves."
And asking for a teammate to complete your heal because you're 80% done, or asking them not to heal you cause you have Resilience, or to heal you to 99% percent.
It's this chaos that makes solo-q hard to play for survivors and empowers killers basically. I imagine if this feature was implemented there would be less crying from survivors and less crying from killers about either stomping noobs or getting bullied, cause sometimes their wins are handed to them by the game's inherent disadvantage of soloq survivor and maybe otherwise they wouldn't have won if the players could communicate.
For me the most annoying games are the ones the killer tunnels the newbie. Cause it means the newbie didn't have fun at all.
-
I try to change the Perks for survivor according to what I feel fits them. So I play survivors with different builds to make them feel different from each other.
But yeah, it would be cool if they had some more personality expression, especially the licensed one who in their respective game/movie are stronger and have more agency.
-
I don't disagree that some survivors make mad decisions like literally unhooking you in front of the killer (unless he is face camping which in that case it can't be helped) or maybe unhooking after stage 2 and they just leave you when obviously the killer is going after you and he'll catch up again.
But I've seen many games where people are busting their ass trying to get the killer to hit them and he just ignores them. I had some a game earlier. David was hooked by Huntress and literally would only go after him. Like I'd run between them to take a hit and she'd not give up.
We actually all escaped that game, because all of us tried to help and the Huntress only had 1 perk. But if we didn't help David out he'd be out of the game pretty early on.
Afterwards we tried to all bodyblock on a different game against Trapper but he had Iron Grasp and maybe a second perk that it was useless trying to help our teammate without sabo which no one had, or Flashlights. Obviously in this case you have to play the game differently than in the first case, cause body blocks don't matter but without communication how can we co-ordinate that?
Even if Huntress was a newbie probably, unless we helped David he was still easily tunneled out. Sometimes it feels like tha game itself is against you with how hard it is to communicate.
I lost a game to facecamping today. If you facecamp and someone is running Iron Grasp and people bodyblock, you can win rather easily because people will be injured. And then it snowballs. How is that fair? Not being able to co-ordinate a different strategy. Ideally if someone is carried he should be able to let us know the Killer has Iron Grasp or something so we know not to bodyblock and waste healthstates or time and do gens.
Sometimes this game is very RNG based and you lose unintentionally, even though in a scenario the killer didn't bring Grasp, bodyblocking would be the right call.

It's difficult to use on solo, but I guess it can work if you're duo SWF.

Well it requires good pc but yeah they can use it after swinging animation starts. But on console if you press it before hit there is risk it will not activate. Sometimes it does and sometimes not. And you probably explained why you have bit more delay.
It does seem like my reaction is good but it never register, so I am never sure if it's a delay from the controller or the latency. As the controller isn't as responsive as the keyboard (at least to me it feels a bit more sluggish) but I find it more intuitive to use cause I played a lot more console games than PC games.

Can't she have saved them up?
I see a lot of people in my game bringing Flan and other anniversary offerings.

Just remove the I-frames from pc players and it will be fine. Pc players can use it after swing which is problematic but on console it does not always even work if you press it before hit. As long as pc players can't abuse it then it's fine. I have seen pc players even use it after they are hit.
How does that work? Is it a latency issue or a keyboard issue? I'm asking because I play with a controller on pc but via Geforce which I assume might influence the delay I get and I can never get instant dead hard. I'm sure I press it at the right time but it doesn't activate and I'm hit. I have to press it much earlier for it to work. It's really confusing.

It's really not complicated: if the killer isn't on you, work on objectives.
I think a lot of people go into games with an idea of what their "role" is going to be. Sometimes you'll get a whole team who all want to run the killer, but obviously this isn't feasible. It's like their plan isn't working out, so their brains go offline. If someone else is running the killer, you get on a gen.
One of my favorite things as killer is to ignore survs who are clearly desperate to be chased, and shadow the chase you are in trying get picked up. I have had these fools chase me around all match clicking, teabagging, etc. trying to get my attention, and not touching a single gen. I will save them for last.
Also people who shadow every chase trawling for flashlight saves (which they inevitably botch). These types of players are a killer's best friend.
Lots of silly reasons your teammates don't get stuff done.
I think you have a point actually. On the other side you have players who can only do gens and suck extremely bad at chases.
But most people I've met will do something, they just don't do it as optimally.
There are definitely those who are just playing for the chase though and they are bad at it. Like dude. You don't have to get him to chase you on second hook, do a gen and let someone else get chases. Jesus.

I had a match I got tunneled for being a double digit prestige(killer told that’s why he tunneled) and I got max chase very early and ran him for a bit longer after that. Zero gens went. I got pallet saved and ran him again for a bit. Zero gens again.
I, then, got one hooked to death as he camped which no one tried to save… and 1 gen was completed that they tripled and then contemplated saving before the entity took me.
I observed after and apparently all 3 of my teammates were more interested in going for saves than doing gens which the killer read correctly the killer 4k’d with 4 gens left to do.
as unfun as being slugged on the ground or tunneled can be. This is the worst feeling when you know the killer overcommitted and should have been punished for it but you’re teammates aren’t doing anything.
It do be like that quite a few times. I had a game on Badham where I was running Wesker in the basement building and only one gen popped. Ok at some point I get hooked, alright. And I see the aura's and 2 teammates are not doing anything, lol. Like one was even prestige 10.
The game ended at 2 gens left. I did 1,5 generator all by myself and I was the last one standing too, can you imagine. Unfortunately I didn't get to find the hatch and died.
Other times it's people being too scared of the killer and hiding everytime they hear him. It's really sad.

-
A weird thing also happened in a game of mine, which is closer to subtle hacking but I dunno who the hacker was.
We were in one of the Macmillan maps and 3 of us were on one side working on a gen and Kate was on the other getting chased. I moved to a different but close gen to work on it and when Kate got downed a gen on the other side of the map popped while no one was there. At least that's what I saw. I think it was the gen Kate had been working on, so she either stopped mid chase and finished it and sacrificed herself or some weird hacking was involved maybe by her.

Small Game helpfully functions as a totem counter (that I honestly forgot to slap into the solo improvements but with my NOED change I don't think it matters), but also that Small Game exists exclusively as a totem hunter and is very good at it, whereas Clairvoyance is a much better general aura reading perk but requires the first Totem to be found manually, requires your teammates to not cleanse any totems, and while Small Game users may want to demolish any totems on sight ASAP Clairvoyance users would likely want to pace themselves to get consistent aura reading all game
I would assume that if someone has a general idea of where totems spawn then they can find the first one relatively easily. And afterwards you can find the next ones with Clairvoyance and reset it. At least that's how I'd use it personally.
The good thing about Small Game is that unlike Clairvoyance, it's free.
I wouldn't use Small Game over Clarevoyance if I was a good totem Hunter, unless Small Game offered something a bit different, like the ability to permanently destroy totems, or something beneficial to boons. Like everytime a boon is destroyed it's effects linger a bit longer. Or maybe a boon needs to be snuffed 2 times to buy sometime.
Of course I am talking from a solo survivor perspective. A general object aura perk seems more useful. Maybe if I knew that the killer I was going up against was implementing a strategy involving hexes that needed to be removed ASAP maybe I'd go for small game. But you cannot know who and what strategy you're up against.

Yep, they could. But someone with 4 hooks couldn't.
What about Small Game and Clairvoyance? I feel Clairvoyance offers better info than Small Game and outclasses it. The only time Small game is better is at the start of the game with finding your first totem. Why would someone run Small Game and not Clairvoyance? I would assume Clairvoyance also reveals auras of reanimated totems.
Would small game need a secondary effect maybe?

They'd only get a small amount if haste and, crucially, a single down.
Each time a survivor is hit with a Basic Attack, 4/3/2 Tokens are consumed from the perk based on the level it's at (level 1, 2, or 3). When all Tokens have been removed, NOED automatically deactivates.
So with your example, they would have 2 hooks and so 2 Tokens, giving them +0.05m/s movement speed. Also, they'd only be able to down one survivor before NOED automatically deactivates itself.
Meanwhile, if someone got 6 hooks and had NOED tier 3, they'd be able to get 3 separate instant downs before NOED deactivated itself, and would begin with +0.15m/s movement speed (going down to +0.1m/s, then +0.05m/s, then 0 when they run out of Tokens).
I think it's an objective nerf? I'm not 100% on movement speed but I think it's more than 2%, but at the same time if you played well it's guaranteed value since the survivors cannot stop NOED from activating now.
Couldn't someone with 5 hooks be able to get 3 instant downs too?

I would like to see the Artist. She'd fit right in. I still don't know why she's a killer, she was a pretty decent person while alive.

Exactly my thoughts. It's time to retire the free perks from the shrine.
Yeah. I don't understand why they even cost 2k. Since they are free they should at most cost 1/4th of the price (or even less) and always be available. So instead of just 4 it should be 6. With 2 free ones and the rest DLC. Or just remove them completely.

Okay with the less pallets, it isn't necessarily less pallets, just weaker ones (and then on maps such as Eyrie of Crows or The Game, where there's more pallets than I can shake a stick at, actual reduced pallets too). With the less breakable walls it's because 99% of them are boring and uninspired and simply create a god window if left unbroken. A few of them (ie quite a lot on Midwich actually) are pretty nifty but most of them serve no purpose so they can go.
With NOED, you gain Tokens before the Exit Gates are powered and the Totem spawns. Then, the Exit Gates become powered and a Totem spawns, either by binding itself to a random Dull Totem or creating a Reanimated Totem out of the remains. You cannot gain any more Tokens at this point, however this is when the Exposed and Haste Status Effects come into play.
Hope that cleared it up ✨
So basically it's the haste effect that has been nerfed? Because if someone has not been doing well, like say, they have only 2 hooks so far therefore 2 tokens they don't gain that much movement speed right? Since currently they gain like 4%. But at the same time it got buffed cause it always activates.

I would love Halloween decoration and of course a map. But maybe a map is a lot to ask. Like a horror theme park as a map would be cool.

I have read some part of it, I haven't read all the killer Perks (I play survivor atm).
About deep wounds, I would prefer it when they are self-inflicted they give you a different screen effect (as in from dead-hard or borrowed time). Sometimes if I'm playing on a dark map, deep wounds make it very hard to see where to go next after dead hard. Which I don't think should be the case.
For killers inflicting you with deep wounds due to their ability or their perk, the screen effect should stay as it is currently. Making it harder to see until you mend.
Vigil sounds strong. I mean I really wanna run it anyway but I don't have Quentin atm. But it would be really strong reworked. And like the proposed change to Clairvoyance. I'd really like it if could show totem auras, but I'm not sure why one would choose Small Game over Clairvoyance in that case. Maybe it should offer a secondary effect?
I like the Wiretap and Repressed Alliance perk. I guess with the slowdown increasing, it would be better to be more in control of when gens unlock.
Excited for the removal of Bloodlust.
I just wanted to add, what is the thought of removing or reducing breakable doors/walls from buildings?
I'm a bit confused over NOED. So to get tokens you need to hook before exit gates are powered. When do you gain the movement speed, after gens are done or everytime you hook? What about the Exposed status. Can it happen at any point in the game now? How can you get a maximum of 8 stacks? If I am getting this right, you start at 0. Then you put a survivor at a dying state and hook them. You gain a stack. Then you down another survivor now you lose 2? Or do you stack before gens are finished and lose stacks after gens are done? Or do you slug everyone first and then hook to get all the stacks?

I've been using Sprint Burst cause it's easier. But I wanna get better at using dead hard because I think it's better in chases. The most annoying thing though is how the screen gets because of deep wounds.
I was playing on Midwich which is already dark and after the dead hard I couldn't see where the opening to a different room was so I died.
