Actually, if you are winning without using their skills, but just their M1 capabilities, which are the same for every killer, then the survivors messed up and probably also feed themselves to the killer via unsave hook trades.
Let's say we get 4 survivor newbies and 1 killer who is playing Wesker. Why should Wesker win if he cannot even hit his ability (that is his identity) and the map is open but he can go just for M1 because he will catch up to the survivor since he is faster. He cannot play the killer. I'm simply of the opinion that Killers with these kinds of abilities should be more punishing if you cannot use their ability.
Why should a killer like that win? There's 4 survivors, it just makes no sense to me. Although this is the reality of the game at low level. You bypass the mechanical requirements of the killer when you should not. Killers that give you map pressure and good chase potential should be higher risk for the high reward, you should not be able to roll over survivors if everyone is equally bad. That is simply my unpopular opinion but for the devs and the killers they feel killer role should be the power role and currently it is.

Thats why I told: Just try.=)
I mean, you can't really do much or "deal" with new players in your matches if you already got into a match.
The only thing you can do is to prevent these matches in a first place. Dodge them if you see the "signs" of a new player. That should be an answer.
I'll try, thank you.

It is really hard to get out of low MMR hell especially in SoloQ try to find a decent SWF if you can.
But here's what you can do to maximize your chance of escaping while playing with new players.
Try to always take the aggro don't play stealthy you always want the killer to focus you if you're confident enough and consider yourself a decent looper you should be doing fine against most of the killer roster, you only have 100 hours so your MMR should still be low and you probably play against new/low MMR killers that don't know when to drop chases.
If you see one of your teammates getting tunneled try to takes some hits but only if gens are flying otherwise you should always be smashing gens and wasting no time you have to pray that your new teammates have watched some content creators guides on how to play survivor and can be "efficient" on gens.
The endgame for survivors is much harder now DS and OTR are disabled, so always bring Adrenaline for that extra IMPORTANT health state.
Don't go for risky endgame rescues you want to get out of MMR hell just leave play selfish and your MMR will start to grow you'll get better teammates surely(Clueless)
Good luck,I know that playing selfish and not being altruistic can be boring but it's the only way to get out of low MMR avoid unnecessary risks.
Yeah it does seem that you need a different playstyle depending on the situation. I usually prioritize gens but I guess there's no point in that if you lose a teammate too fast.
I do go for risky hooks endgame at times and it has cost me escapes, it's very difficult to resist.
I actually like to play altruistically if I can (although it's hard in soloq if everyone is on different corners of the map) and I like taking protection hits or diverting the attention of the killer away from the recently unhooked. That is if I'm around. But that does indeed get me killed.
Thank you for the decent advice. <3

Dodge the lobby. You probably have a 100% BP bonus and you queue up in like 20 seconds. Don't make yourself miserable for online strangers.
I try but it doesn't always work. Might even have to do with the hours I play and sometimes I even get matched with people who are clearly Korean, I think it happened twice the past few days.

Well, first of all:
- Don't rant at them, don't scream at them, don't get angry with them.
- In the end-chat, try to speak with them and give them advice, teach them basics.
- Give them advice to watch some guides on a YT or other.
If it's really bothers you in your matches, try to give some advice to any new player you got matched with. It's not gonna take too much of your time. But you can make them play better next time.=)
I don't really talk to them cause I assume they don't read the chat and I have crossplay on, so I'm not really ranting or lecturing my teammates.

The statistics did change though lol
It would be more dramatic though if killers played optimally and didn't play nice.

I would too! What timezone do you play in? Maybe we can play some time :)
Southeast Europe so GMT+3.

This is tricky, there is basically nothing you can to fix it in solo q. Sometimes the match is lost before you even begin. Lobby dodging may help, but you don't know who is good and who just plays a new survivor etc. Basically it all comes down to you just doing your part of the game.
If you want to fix this problem I would argue that adding some people you feel play the game good enough is the only answer. That way you know your teammates will do their part as well. It will be even better if you find someone to communicate on Discord with (or other programs).

What a rude comment.. grow up pls.
I do play with a few people sometimes, but they don't play as often as me so I've mostly been playing soloq. I would be interested in joining like a Discord group maybe in the future.

Ez bro. Just do all 5 gens while looping the killer.
Real answer. Imo, you don't. You just hope they don't get found first and if they do, hope the killer doesn't tunnel out the obvious pick.
Just accept you're probably going to lose and move on. Or just do what I did years ago and be a killer main.
It's sad cause they do get found first? Idk if it's because they can't hide or loop or the killer noticed them in the lobby and goes after them intentionally.

Bots. I'm tired of having to bring a friend over just to play a custom and learn a map better. I wish I could do that on my own.

Repair gen and loop the killer. If you can’t keep the killer busy then you don’t deserve better teamates.
How can I keep him busy if he kills the newbie at the start of the game and niewbie goes to stage 2 in three seconds and at the same time I'm on gen. That's exactly what I described in first post.
Wouldn't you as a killer go for the easy down? Which is the more inexperienced survivor if you want to win?
Shouldn't I after 100+ hours get to play with people on my level and not people who probably have like 2 perks? And ofc same goes for being matched with the appropriate killer. Sometimes I get killers with 1 or 2 perks unlocked. How is that fair for them, if me and my team have been playing for a while?
The only way I can think of to prevent the newbie from falling first is to actively seek the killer at the start of the game and get him to chase me and pray the newbie can find gens and do them.

How are they suppose to know it's more common if they can't even tell if someone is flying across the map or insta pop gens in their own game?
Yeah true. I simply meant that the killrate would probably be different than it is now. Although it is not that common. if every killer was playing this way I think it would be hard for it to not be reflected on the killrate and escape rate., that even they could not ignore.
-
To be honest, if tunneling and camping was more common maybe the devs would be doing something about it. As it is now it's reserved only for the sweatiest. If every killer started doing it and got more kills, it might see some change because the statistics would change.
It really is the most efficient way to play.

How can you get hit by M1 spirit/huntress tho...
Aren't they faster than survivor, last time I checked the wiki survivor has a movement speed of 4.0 m/s and Killers usually 4.4 m/s or 4.6 m/s. Isn't it inevitable that at some point they'll reach you especially if you're in a deadzone. Am I missing something? I thought the general consensus was that at some point you are supposed to fall as survivor.
-
I also hate Haddonfield as a survivor. The street is a huge deadzone, pallets are not that good. Trying to get those gens on the streets makes me feel very vulnerable.
-
Wraiths are guilty of tunneling. It's happened to me personally, they just wait out base BT and follow you cloaked for the speed boost. Also had a Wraith yesterday tunnel Claudette, as in I'd try to bodyblock for her cause she was dead on hook and he would not go for me.
Face-camping I see less, but camping does happen on the daily when I play, like the killer hanging around the area waiting for you to go for the save at 5-4 gens.
Reassurance is behind a pay wall. I have Rebecca though I haven't played her yet. And for it to work you have to be close to the person hooked otherwise if you're at the other end of the map it's not efficient to run across it and use it on them and in soloq it feels like you need to pair it with an aura reading perk for your team so you stick around them in case they are hooked. It's obviously much stronger in SWF as you can co-ordinate and know where your team is.
-
I didn't use to dodge, but if the game puts me in a lobby with 3 other 0 prestige survivors I start to get skeptical, not that it helps. Re-entering queue I can't say I get into a better lobby. If I'm too lazy to dodge again I just try to play decently enough to pip once.
If I'm with prestige 3+ team and one single 0 prestige teammate, the killer is usually going after them first, matchmaking is crazy.
-
I know what you mean, I've also come across those types of killers. They cannot even use their killer's power but playing them as an M1 killer is enough. Like at some maps there are deadzones that even M1 killers can catch up to you, it's not my fault if the gen I'm working on is just surrounded only by trees and rocks and no pallets (looking at you shelter woods). Are they somehow more skillfull if the can just hold W and catch up to me?
I don't understand why killers can get away with playing Wesker, Spirit, Huntress etc. without using their power, but play them as a basic M1 killer. That should not be happening, those killers should be more effective when you know how to use their power and being bad at them should be more punishing.
If I'm bad at gens and chases as survivor the game is not rewarding me, unless I somehow get carried by the team which is pretty rare. Survivors that are bad at chases die first., if they are bad at gens they hold the team back and make the game longer and harder for everyone. Killers that are bad at chases should not be able to brute force a chase because of forgiving game mechanics, to me it seems really silly.
The game is hard enough for soloq survivors because of lack of co-ordination. Your mistakes as survivors cost not just you but also the team.

That challenge should be changed to trigger off any height that triggers balanced landing. That challenge being outright impossible on some maps is just dumb
Yeah but Balanced Landing doesn't trigger in all maps. Some maps just don't have high places.

I also like to chase with Nurse. I'm bad at regular chases, but Nurse chases work for me, because I get to actively avoid all of the vaults and pallets, and just spin around a tree.
It just seems that breaking line of sight works decently.
Heck I even won against her in Midwich, obviously the Nurse wasn't a pro. But sometimes it feels like it's possible to win against her, just feels people are discouraged. Like one time the Nurse was a beginner but a teammate DC'd as soon as he heard her screech, tell me how that is unwinnable.
It simply feels like with other killers, they can simply outrun you. With Nurse you don't need stuff other than walls. But like I said, the Nurses I face aren't running her most OP stuff.
-
How will I do my tome challenges that require I jump 3 times from a big height?
Tbh, I think I see more killers play map offerings than survivors at my level.
-
That would be pretty nice. Her face is indeed on the slender/thin side.
-
I would also like to see the stats broken down. My experience has not been 40% escape rate. Maybe I'm bad, who knows. But you can't tell me it's not a problem when the games matches you with people who just started playing at 0 prestige. And my lobbies sometimes have 6 prestige and 0 prestige in them. Why should this happen unless they are SWF?
It's not always people suiciding on purpose on hooks, sometimes it's newbies who don't know any better and hit second stage attempting to escape.
The only time I felt I was playing with people of my own skill level was before this month's reset when I reached iridiscent grade. And at times I still got complete newbies on my team. Of course my escape rate would be higher if matchmaking was more fair.
-
I see it around 10pm my time actually, it lasts like an hour or two.
-
It's because survivors go in completely blind. The killer can see survivor's items at least and he can sometimes choose appropriate perks. The opposite is not true, so you're stuck with perks that unfortunately bring no value if certain conditions aren't met, which sucks to be honest. I wish we had more agency while in the lobby regarding that. Like maybe one survivor out of the four knows who the killer is and can bring (or not) perks that might counter some part of him if he guesses his build right. I think for solo que it could work but probably it'd be too strong for SWF.
I came from LoL, which has draft and is more competitive than DBD so some aspects of this game seem very weird to me.

You'll find that many of the offerings and addons are basically a waste of bloodpoints. They just pile up in your inventory even though you'll never use them.
Yeah, I get them cause it's inevitable. I wish I could trade them or something.

To force basement in a certain spot, like in badham, where main building downstairs is a bastard to chase someone at, since there's no hooks there at all, unless basement spawns, optimal option is to slug them if boil over
Ok so basically you bring an offering to spawn it in Killer Shack and then main building downstairs is safe? Is that it?
Still, wouldn't it need to be a bit coordinated? Like someone else brings a Map offering? All alone it sounds a bit useless as you have no idea what map you'll get if you're playing on your own.
-
That is actually pretty adorable. It sometimes easy to forget. I think atm it feels a bit isolating when in game since you can't communicate, but I like it enough to play solo q on my own. Sometimes it does get frustrating though.
-
Sometimes it does feel like that. I guess people like to have a secured win when they have been dominating (either survivor or killer) but then what's the point playing after a certain point.
I think the problem is that the game has come back mechanics for killers but not so much for survivors. Like if there are 2 survivors left in the games it's a death sentence for the most part. One gets slugged and the other gets denied hatch. If that gets addressed I think it'd feel more fair, doesn't help that you can't communicate with your teammate. If killers can turn around around the game at end game I think 2 survivors should also get something.
I am talking from a solo q perspective, I dunno how that would affect SWF.
