As much as I would love it to be like that, it would make the Demo insanely strong. The way it is now is pretty well balanced. You just have to make smart placements and hope survivors destroy them at times.

The first video it definitely something weird happening there.
But honestly I feel like the last 2 are maybe more latency related than anything? There wasnt a wall when you went to swing for Nancy (and trust me ive clipped enough corner walls to know, sometimes the game wants to hit the invisible edge but there was literally nothing there)
With the teleport hit, there no other reason why you didnt connect. So thats why i think it might be latency. But honestly i dont know, its the only answer i can come up with.
Ive never had anything like this happen when i play the hag or noticed anything like you showed in the videos.
Really? This is a daily occurrence for me. I'll complain about stuff like this on the forum and get the usual "get good" but as seen in the videos it's literally beyond my control. I have these issues in all killers, but for me Hag and Doc have it the worst.
-
At least I know it's not just me experiencing all of these issues.

Yeah, I know. Sometimes I just need that bit of pressure, so I sometimes have no choice but to hook them.

Nice. Thank you.

I'm personally fine with this change. My friends and I always take breaks from the game so we'll be lower ranks when we get back into the game, and it's a struggle to verse killers at the ranks we should be at because we make mistakes of course, but we also get those clueless teammates that are no help the entire match, causing us to basically carry them. And since I play solo I rank up a bit, so now when I play with my friends we can have slightly better teammates and not feel bad for the killers.

Same honestly. I want to play the game and enjoy it, but it just hasn't been fun lately. And I only came back to the game about a week or so ago after about 2 months of not playing.

I literally posted a screenshot. There's no insta heal at all.

Just to show that the survivor who escaped didn't have unbreakable as well. So it doesn't make sense as to how they healed fully with adrenaline.

I know that, that's not what I'm talking about though. Rather than adrenaline healing one health state it healed 2.

Perhaps the survivor also had unbreakable and used it just before you closed the hatch resulting in a full heal?
I checked the perks afterwards because I thought the same thing, but they didn't have unbreakable.

Normally, yeah. It's a sort of reward for hooking a survivor, you get to see the other survivors for a bit even though they'll most likely run from that area, but youll have a general idea. Plus, extra BPis great.
-
@[Deleted User] said:

Don’t know where you got that idea since BHVR have made it abundantly clear they need to delay the rollout.
Simple, I don't play only this game every day. So I don't pay attention to all of the updates they make. Last I heard, they were supposed to have live servers and ST chapter. Stopped playing the game since it was so buggy so I stopped paying attention to BHVR.
-
The devs already struggle with fixing bugs. Do you honestly think they'd be able to implement a decent AI?
-
Increase amount of BP you can gain in general, especially from dailies and using shards to buy perks for BP. 150k is barely anything.
Increase amount of shards gained from devotion. What we get right now is laughable. It takes a out 2-3 completed devotions just to be able to get a good cosmetic.
-
Survivors I go against
Survivors I get teamed up with.
I always get morons on my team as survivor, but seem to constantly get red rank SWF as killer even though I'm in green rank. It's the only reason I started running NOED after almost 2 years of not using it.

This post is pretty much nothing But you complaining and not wanting to accept any answer that doesn't agree with your view.

Because it was important enough for you to include it in your little matchmaking tirade, and you further engaged with me when I brought it up, getting defensive. So I gave you tips to help you. Use them, ignore them, I don't care.
But yes, the matchmaking is weird right now, that I agree with you on.
"Or I can be paired with more competent survivors and not feel as though I'm carrying the entire team."
That's what I said. That's not me being defensive, that's me saying the matchmaking is terrible. Then you told me to play more stealthily, and I gave an example of me playing stealthily with terrible teammates, and then you start asking why I didn't pip. Playing immersed in this game is already garbage, you don't get much for playing that way. That's why most players try to get chased and are overly altruistic. It definitely isn't a viable way to play if your teammates are terrible.
-

Because I agree with you on the matchmaking, but you got so tilted at being chased by the killer that you decided to add it to your post.
And so while you can't do anything about the matchmaking right now, you CAN do something about how often the killer finds you when paired with these "low rank players who have the IQ of rock on a rope. " Unless you're one of those people who you can't tell anything, because they know it all. Then I guess you're just going to be paired with people who might think the same of you.
Again, the only person focusing on the getting chased subject is you. It's annoying that it happens, but that's nitnthe main focus. Yet that's then only thing you seem to care about.
-
Black pip since I didn't get chased until the end of the match. I won 1 chase, got 1 stun. Then the second chase I got downed and one hooked. And doing gens wasn't enough for a pip, but it was the reason I black popped. And I managed to get 1 unhook.
So I had 1 Gold, 3 Silvers. Was just a bit off of pipping.

I run spine chill, so even if I hear the terror radius I won't run unless the perk is lit up. No need to, they're probably in a chase. (So why are you still getting caught while the worse survivor isn't?)
But if my teammate misses a skillcheck and the perk lights up, I'm only getting caught because of their mistake.(and because you got cocky with spine chill and assumed you didn't have to disappear from LOS, allowing the killer opportunity and the lesser survivor to escape)
2) can't get safe unhooks when my teammates are morons. They're overly altruistic and only succeed in getting each other downed with 4-5 gens left. Forcing me to become the gen jockey (this I agree with, they need to do a better job advertising how damaging unsafe hooks are.)
I got caught because the killer decided to go after me instead of the other survivor. Don't get why that's so hard for you to understand. If you see to survivors as killer you can only go after one of them.
And theres no need to disappear from the killers LOS when I was never in their LOS in the first place. I'm doing a gen behind a wall where the Killer can't see us. Only reason he spotted us was because of the skill check. Spine chill didn't light up until after the skill check was failed.

That's exactly my experience. They don't even know where all the totem spots are but still running around the map for 10 min searching for Ruin. As killer you always get tryhard SWF sweaties who eat all gens in 3 min.
Just had a match where my teammates were ranks 14-16 against a rank 15 trapper. My teammates stepped in EVERY. SINGLE. TRAP. And they weren't even hidden, they were in the most obvious spots. Then when it was just 2 of us left, I ran the trapper around for about 3 minutes and my teammate somehow managed to get caught in a trap. Oh yeah, I also single handedly did the only 2 gens that were completed, and 2 of them killed themselves on 2nd hook while I was 10m away from them.

Leave the gen before you hear the terror radius, get your 2 good unhooks, and do gens. There's only so much you can do to help out vastly mismatched lobbies.

Apparently if I play more stealthily I'll just stop getting trash teammates. Even though it hasn't seemed to work so far.

I wouldn't doubt it. The game does get boring and annoying.
And idk about anyone else, both I personally tend to take breaks from the game simply because there are still mechanics that are either poor, or broken and the devs have yet to do anything about it after months/years.
-
Except that would break the game. If 4 survivors run saboteur and toolboxes they could easily get rid of all of the hooks on the map and that would make it literally impossible for killers to win because they're unable to sacrifice survivors. They would have to rely on slugging and camping the downed survivor until they bleed out just to get kills. And that would mean the survivors would be able to rush gens without any threat. The fact that there is no counter to it other than running 1 specific perk would make it insanely over powered.
-
Been happening to me too. And they always end up playing like morons. Missing skill checks without ruin, running to the killer when a player gets downed to go for a flashlight save way too late, not doing gens, losing chases in 15 seconds, etc. . . It feels like you're carrying the entire team the whole game.

GhostFace, I think, needs his detection FIXED. On top of that, make the cooldown less on his power. That is all, other than that, he is fine.
And fix the fact that sometimes blades of grass can disrupt his stalking. The corn is bad enough, but I've had a few games where the camera angle was weird and I ended up staring at a single blade of grass that blocked my stalk.

Not my fault if you dont know how to play man, i've been playing GF since his launch, got all the perks on him + P3-50 in less than 3 days after his launch, every match was played at Rank 1 (except rank reset) without addons, im not here to spread lies on how good or bad a killer is, im just saying what he can achieve while being played by what looks to be a MASTER (if we compare with your skill lv).
"I'm not here to spread lies on how good or bad a killer is" yet you were just saying that he's top tier and that he's number 1. You're literally going against your own statement. Not to mention, it's pretty sad that you think reaching P3-50 in less than 3 days is something to be proud of.

He is the #1 killer on the Top Tiers killers tier list, how can u consider that "weak"?
The game cant have only God tiers, that would be boring and way less SKILLFUL!
He is definitely not number 1. He's mid tier at best. Too many maps with open areas that makes it hard for him to lean and stalk without beinf seen. His power is useless against corn vision. It's easy to break him out of his power which then make him nothing but a M1 killer, and if you attack the survivor you were stalking you lose all of that progress. And if a survivor is semi good at looping his power is useless if they loop him for long enough. He's not top tier, and definitely not number 1.

Your comparison of COD, R6 and RE4 to DBD makes absolutely no sense.
For one, none of those are Asymmetric Horror Games, so trying to compare similar aspects of different genres doesn't make sense. COD and R6 are both FPS games with an equal amount of players on each team, so again, bad comparison.
Your entire 4th argument is pretty poor. You focus on how getting a 4k ruins the fun for the killer, and increases queue times (which makes absolutely no sense), but ignore the fact that killers constantly going against well organized SWF and having them consistently escape ruins the fun for killers. You say 4K's aren't a selling point, both I don't believe "easy escapes with little to no effort" is much of a selling point either. Also, there are plenty of games in which 3-4 survivors escape, which usually means the killers lose, and the killers still continue playing. Why can't survivors do the same?
This entire argument is basically "if playing survivor is hard, then the game sucks." With no real insight as to how the game is on the killers side.
As for my opinion, yes SWF does need a slight nerf, nothing drastic. The fact that they're able to give away killer position, trap locations, totem locations, communicate about gens/progress gives them a better advantage since killers have to rely on their powers and sound queues to simply find survivors. But the devs also need to buff solo player slightly as well. It's not fair that the SWF players have more information simply because they're using comms, which leaves the solo players to just hope everyone does the right thing.
-
*Killer changes*
Make slight buffs to certain killers. Not so much that it's game breaking, but enough to feel as though it made a difference. For example I would remove the slowdown while doc is in treatment mode, but keep the slowdown when he goes for a shock.
Make ruin have more consistent skill checks, or make skill checks more consistent in general. Potentially make ruin base kit since it's pretty much needed. It would still be a totem, it just wouldn't take up a perk slot.
Change insidious so that the killer is unable to down someone for the next 10 seconds after "re-appearing" they're only able to injure survivors.
Give players the ability to toggle off auto lock.
Allow killer to place survivors on the hooks at any angle (hook swivel).
Give killers the ability to interact with a totem making it change locations with a dull totem. It would take at least 5-10 seconds to do so. It would show an animation where the entity's claws appear, grabs the totem and pulls it down, then the totem it was switched with slowly rises from the ground.
*General changes*
Work on some perks so player feel more inclined to use other perks so there aren't so many meta builds.
*Survivor changes*
Make it so no Mither gives bonus BP for chases. Almost no one leaves NM players on the floor, so the ability to self revive constantly is useless.
Make kindred base kit (sort of). Survivors can't see each other, but if a killer stays within 10m of the hook for 5-10 seconds all survivors can see their aura.
Make it so if a killer camps around a hook for 30+ seconds borrowed time becomes a base kit perk. Killers must leave the hook for 20-30 seconds to counter it to prevent killers from walking out of range just to walk back instantly. (Also counters killers who are able to hide their terror radius.)
*I'll probably edit this later on because my mind went blank while making this. There was a lot more I wanted to add for survivors the I seemed to have forgotten*
-
The devs don't really change the killer perks, they tend to focus more on the killers themselves and will either buff or nerf the killers abilities rather than the perks. The DS nerf was needed because it was a free escape for basically doing nothing.
Also, Ghostface received some nerfs on launch, I believe they nerfed his stalk speed compared to the PTB. Then after launch they reworked his power a bit more along with his ability again. That's the situation for a lot of killers.
-
Maybe it'll be a legion situation. You pay only for the one character, but they treat the others as an outfit. So to play the Other survivor you just simply switch the characters "outfit"
-

Oh yeah, forgot about the new design philosophy.
-
I haven't watched stranger things so I'm not as hyped as everyone else about the chapter, but it's the fact that the killer isn't a human that makes me excited. This opens up so many possibilities. I got tired of all the killers being human because the entity is able to grab beings from all different universes and realities, so why did it only choose humans as killers. (Yes, I understand the whole humanoid situation in case any one says something)

You just don't lose any pressure because one survivor is downed so 1 less person doing gens and then you leave them in dying state without grabbing them, then if you are not that bad by camping the tunneled survivor on the ground you search somebody else
so 2/3 people (depending how many they works on the gen you are going) are not able to repair so you got more pressure than before
But you're not dead right? Either the killer gets hit by DS and has to spend more time chasing you, or they leave you on the ground for a minute (which is more than enough time for a teammate to heal you) costing them a potential kill and meaning they'll have to waste more time chasing another survivor eventually. It's not nerfed to the ground, it's just the people who are bad without it being like it originally was, love complaining about it.
-
It's what happens when the devs implement poor game mechanics making it extremely easy to do multiple gens within the first 2-3 minutes of the game. It requires killers to put high pressure on all the survivors although only about 3-4 killers are great at applying pressure well, mainly because the devs are too scared to make a decently strong killer, or survivor mains will cry for a nerf to the killer.
-
You never could hear the spirits phasing while within her TR, it's always been like that so idk what you're talking about. Unless you're talking about the bug in which people could hear when she went into phasing.
