You say that as if I'm supposed to be scared. I defend survivor things too (such as SWF, head on, adrenaline etc).
Don't even try to play the biased card. You'll lose. I just simply have a brain capable of rational thought. Sit.
Hahaha, keep telling yourself that.

Don't care to have one when one can simply search your previous posts and see how 99% of them are biased.
Sorry to be the one to call you out.

If a killer is pipping, and camping, the survivors allowed that to happen. I don't see what skill has to do with this. The killer had an objective. Kill you. They accomplished that objective.
Survivor in and of itself is the least skill-based mode in the game anyway.
Telling a killer not to tunnel is like telling you not to use a toolbox and prove thyself on a generator. Just play better. Don't get caught.
You are really clueless aren't you?
Do you often just comment because you want to feel better about yourself? Do you even play survivor to back up your statements? I don't think you do.
You realize that they are talking about in-game actions vs perks right? In-game actions are available 24/7, Perks are not. This is why the meta will never change.

I feel like ds will never reach a point where it cant be abused. BUT it still deters actual tunnelers. For instance the shaving off the time say they lowered it to like 50 seconds. Ive had tunnel chases last minutes! Killers still tunneling me but ds doesn't help me once i go down. I know people suggested now with these limitations give it a infinite timer so if the killers actually tunneling they can't really avoid it. But the most common retort is people would just run around as a nuisance. (I dont see a problem with it thats one less person on gens). Things like ds is why i like being 50/50 because i can understand both sides but in this both have shown problems with ds's existance.
Deterring actual tunnelers would require it to work on 1st and 2nd hook. As killer I am cappable of going back to hook on 1st and 2nd hook stage.
My biggest problem is one side's "issue" is addressed while the other remains the same. This is a problem with a lot of things actually. Because even when Ruin got nerfed, I was for a buff on it as well. I understood why they felt the need to change it, but they should have also compensated with something else.
I had no problems with the previous DS (meaning the one before today's change), and that may be because I rarely go back to hook. Even then I knew when not to pick up so I had survivors salty commenting over me knowing how to counter their timer. Because apparently not a lot of killers do that? Idk.
I respecfully blame the design team because none of these things would be available if the game had proper design. I'm not just talking about just perks, but also actions within the game, and the game not being able to distinguish abuse vs options.

They also didnt expect survivors to use it to just get 60 seconds off a gen. This coming from someone who uses ds red. The amount of times ive dsd the killer without them actually tunneling. Ive unhooked 2 survivors done 30 seconds off a gen killer came by and i locker dsd him and booked it.
Right, and so have I. But guess what? Most of them were bad killers. The ones that weren’t knew when to slug and when not to pick up.
I would have rather them shave time off the activation timer than nit-pick the eff out of how it can supposedly be abused (especially with the healing one) because they don’t have a clear way of knowing when it is someone tapping in your face vs a killer seeking you out while you just tapped a gen. There is virtually no way for the game to know this.
All while again, they are still doing nothing to address straight up tunneling.

Again my argument hasn't changed she can stealth and more more aware of your actions.
if she tapped a gen then that's just a natural thing from when you could do so survivors should learn not to do that.
Also 20 seconds? hell no it should be at max 3 survivors should not be able finish off a close to complete gen. I'm not against this but no real progress should be allowed.
I am not asking for your argument to change, I see very clear that you are unable to see the other side's opinion to further continue the discussion.
Saying things like "It is the survivor's fault" because the killer chooses to ignore everyone else in their path, only to hunt down that same survivor whose feet barely touched the ground after being unhooked 10 seconds ago, isn't even an argument of how bad of an argument it is.
The devs obviously created a timer for DS because they knew killers would not straight off tunnel off hook every single time.

Then why did she touch the gen without recovering or if she did she should play more stealthly.
As said it's her fault, your argument is literally assuming they play the same way and the survivor isn't going to stealth or purposely not deactivate DS.
Playing this way will make you lose anyway so i don't care that much. good on you for wanting to stay in low ranks tho.
She touched a gen because she didn't think I was going to tunnel her out, which I did. Do you honestly think killers don't choose to tunnel someone out of the game? That it is always the survivor's fault? Because that is what I was trying to get at.
Go ahead and keep assuming that I am a low rank. If that's the best you got.
I am simply stating that Tunneling isn't as black and white as some of you seem to think. There is an abusive element which you (like others) refuse to discuss because you know that it is the same BS you complain about that DS supposedly gets.
If someone touched a gen for 1 second, that doesn't progress the game to something that would amount to "time lost" as a killer. I mean if that was the case, every killer would kick a 1% gen. Which if you do, then all I have to say is ..... "Choices". If someone repaired for at least 20 seconds of their DS timer then yes I would probably agree more.
There are ways a killer can track a survivor without needed to go back to hook, like bringing Nurses, Whispers, etc and it's not hard to memorize who just got unhooked. So while I am not saying that they shouldn't have looked into DS, I am also not going to sit around and pretend like it couldn't have been changed a bit different, let alone the fact that they did nothing to slow down the action of tunneling itself.

No. She is not. I went seeking for her. I wanted to tunnel her out.

they are nerfing gen rush as well by doing this and the tunnel option is only presented if the survivor decides so.
So overall imo a net gain to game health.
The tunnel option is only presented if the survivor decides? LOL
Im sorry, so when I (the person playing killer) decides I want the easy down, and start to tunnel the freshly unhooked Claudette who barely even began to touch a gen, it’s her fault for touching it? Gotcha. 😂

I think it’s fine. I’d rather see this exhaustion perk when I’m playing killer rather than Sprint Burst.

This is a forum where topics are left open to discussion, it has almost nothing to do with being toxic. I've seen both Undying and DS get brought up immensely on the forums, with both sides whining.
Stop dividing people up and saying one side is more toxic blah blah. Not to mention, a lot of people that play killer want things like Spirit to be nerfed anyways because it doesn't take much to realize she's unfair.
DS has been the topic of discussion for a long time. Longer than Undying, and I am willing to bet people will still whine after it’s second nerf.
Do I think both sides whine? Absolutely. Comparing how much complaining there is between those two perks just isn’t realistic IMO. Especially when one has literally been out longer.

Everyday? You are reaching there, but ok.
For perspective I see more killers complaining about survivors complaining about tunneling. Even with some posting images of their post-match chats. In any event, tunneling is still a problem in this game DS changes or not.

Reverse psychology. He's talking about people who are gonna complain so somehow he's complaining?
Everyone knows that no matter what changes this game makes (good or bad), complains will continue.
What I am talking about is this:
"I am SO fed up with how DS has been used over the years especially when it is used to do generators that i seriously don't care how much any survivor finds it BS when i will do this."
Like, he is warning people while complaining as if somehow survivors are suppose to be.... scared?
Newsflash: Survivors don't care about your tunneling ways.
-
The changes haven’t even dropped and it sounds to me like you are the one already complaining about something that hasn’t even happened.
Typical for these forums.
-
As someone who gives hatch to the last survivor more than not.
They really should create an anti-slug built in mechanic where if the survivor does not get picked up within x amount of time, the entity does. Yes, the entity kills the survivor. Slugging for the 4k is as ridiculous as hatch stand-offs were.
-
The simple answer is: because you just engaged in a match with them and everyone knows what it stands for.
With that being said, I’m not gonna let it “bother” me. Many times the t-baggers are the first ones to go.

Again, not true, I win as a Solo Survivor all the time.
It is definitely way more difficult than playing SWF, but it sure isn't impossible. I think buffs to Solo Q are necessary, but to say Solo's have no chance is just incorrect.
More often than not my problem with Solo Q isn’t that ‘it’ is bad. The RNG in it IS a huge problem. You cannot possibly rely on people who just crouch around and/or are afraid to touch a gen or take aggro once in a while.
They can undeniably undo everything you do to progress the match. So the bottom line is I may choose to play with friends (yes because I like to talk about other stuff in the middle of a match) but at the core of playing with them, I can also rely on them to at the very least come and save me before 2nd stage. Because even without comms we would still be there for one another. In a teamwork-based game, there are sometimes matches where you cannot afford to have someone not being efficient.
No one denies that winning in solo Q is possible, I find it more annoying than anything that I feel like I am playing against my teammates and not the killer. Solo Q doesn’t need a buff, it needs competent people.
-
I can’t tell if you are being sarcastic about him being OP or intentionally contradicting yourself.
Cages also affect perks that hook based. Meaning perks like DS, BT will not work on him should the survivor to go a cage.
-
As long as the game is heavily RNG based meaning:
- You never know which killer you are going to face.
- You don’t automatically know if they are SWF or not.
- You’ll never know what perks each side is bringing and their intentions.
You will never truly have a “chill” mode. Too many times people bring non-meta builds and too many times they encounter the opposite side playing like they are winning cash if they win the match.
-
Might try it out, only $6.99 on steam so it’s at least worth a try.
-
It’s not.
I actually like going against SWF because solo queue survivors are too easy for me.
You are right about one thing, people over exaggerate the strength of SWF , because many times they overlook their own lack of skill and knowledge needed to face SWF or any competent survivors.
-
So I guess all those matches I’ve played as Trapper, PH, Pig, Michael (my main) against SWF and won mean nothing. 😓
-
The original 4 survivors remodeled, they are extremely outdated.
-
Who said we could only have one clown?
-
I don’t see how this would make it scarier at all. With the exception of stealth killers, most killers you would hear a heartbeat and know they are there.
I would rather them focus on more atmospheric elements being scary like map environments and sounds. Granted that only works for a short time as well.
-
Are you talking about the childish people who do things to aggravate others and post about it on the forums?
Cuz that’s pretty much the internet.
I’ll admit I will t-bag a killer for BMing me or any of my friends, when I’m at the exit gate. I just won’t post about it on the forums cuz I don’t care that anyone knows. That’s just a personal choice I make which is dependent on my mood. Don’t need to explain it nor does it need to make sense to anyone else.

I need to put this in a document so I can cut and paste this....
There are 4 of you.... and doing gens is so braindead easy.
Gens can be done in 80 seconds
it takes literally 120 seconds to die on first hook
Again, there are four of you. If the hook is being camped, then the killer should lose AT LEAST 2 gens.
Hell, Is aw it in action today - camping Legion walked away with zero kills because we focused on gens (including me being cheeky and doing one near the nook to entice him away far enough for teammates to rescue the first hook AFTER we popped 2 gens)
By the time this Legion got a second hook on a fully healthy survivor, we just pounded out the last gen, opened a door, healed everybody up, then the 3 of us bum-rushed the hook. I faked the save and took the first hit, the other two tanked for the injured. ALL OF US GOT OUT IN SOLO Q
Camping is VERY DEFEATABLE. ######### get good.
The fact that you have it ready to paste from a document shows the amount of times this has been brought up.
I don’t think the majority of survivors complain about how “defeable” Camping is. For me at least, I find it to be a boring game whenever someone camps, yes even if we hold M1 and escape. Not to mention that person who just basically just pressed the space bar and that’s the most experience they got out of that trial. Because outside of that they had 0 options to play the game, not one or two, zero.
That is a problem from an experience perspective, and the fact that it can be done at lower ranks where people barely have any perks that half-way make it less of stressful for them.
I don’t think people are in the wrong in asking for more options, especially built-in ones if there is a player that simply wants to get someone out of the game. This type of playstyle only further encourages people to DC making it an overall bad experience for everyone.
-
Also, just because someone points out something doesn't make it or them salty. Healthy arguments are fine, not everyone has to agree with each other. It's what makes the world go round.
For me you are salty when you start to get personal. Because that is outside of anything that has to do directly with the game.
-
I just recently started playing Twins and I am having a blast.
To much of the learning curve, I noticed that you have to pay more attention to where/when you are downing someone, because of how they work.
Many people run UB and most recently Desperate Measures and WGLF (with it's perspective buff) so many times slugging doesn't seem like a big deal as Victor. He is one of the few killers I understand slugging on, and it is obvious why.
-
You mean the survivor rule book that killers invented?
Cuz us skilled survivors are doing just fine over here.
How is your head?

Killers don't have more Wiggle room to camp, and if your doing any of the things that deactivates it aside healing yourself then your not being tunneled. If your going to use the phrase tunneling to enclose either a) chasing you off a gen b) chasing you off a totem or c) whilst your unhooking someone then sure, your being tunneled. But tunneling isn't this. You don't understand what true tunneling is.
However, I agree the timer should be stopped/increased if slugged when Ds is active, and if they do this then you should lose it when taking protection hits (no bs saves) so it isn't abuseable to ensure escapes.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2048644#Comment_2048644
As long as it isn't abuseable, go right ahead.
I'm fine with survivors being STRONG.
As long as they aren't invincible, or over powered then I'm fine with another meta perk.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2048573#Comment_2048573
As survivors have pointed out every time I say Ds is the usually used obsession perk.
However there is some that are used.
Save the best for last, rancour for killer as slightly ok perks.
OoO for survivor (meta).
There is others.
But why should you get the removal of information for nothing. It's like saying broken status effects shouldn't show. If you can't use one perk slot on Ds (it is still anti tunneling, which if it's that big an issue you can stop it by taking this), then you don't deserve an obsession for nothing.
So how was I able to tunnel someone who barely began to touch a gen yesterday then? They were lucky to have DS active still.
Seconds do not count as "progressing the game" on a perk which by definition was not strictly an anti tunnel perk. Also, tunneling occurs on 2nd hook, shouldn't that mean that DS should activate then too? Or do u only nit-pick scenarios in which do not benefit the killer?
Tired of the bs arguments/excuses as if the other side doesn't benefit from cutting corners and essentially abusing things on their end as well.
-
Because the developers themselves believes face-camping is a form of threat, without acknowledging that there is an unfair element to it when the survivor on hook (playing as sacrificial lamb) basically doesn't play the game and has 0 options. Apparently this doesn't seem broken to them.
I know it's hard to believe that after 4 years we are still having this conversation, but contrary to popular belief, not every single Camping scenario allows for gens to be done so quickly that it would become a form of "punishment" for the killer. I've had the opportunity to play this game over 5k hours and I can tell you sometimes someone has to go in there trade just to give us more time. Which would sound exciting but honestly even when you escape it feels like an unpleasant experience. Like, I would rather just hide the whole game just to waste their time at that point.
That's why when people say "It isn't fun" they don't necessarily mean the action of camping, they mean it in that they (the survivors) really aren’t playing the game. I think that is a fair statement when you look at how much it is done throughout a day's worth of playing. It is even common in red ranks.
-
I wouldn't care if made-over faces looked nothing like the actors, but I just want better faces, and perhaps hair.
They look outdated.
-
Don't worry, killers will still complain about DS.
DS might have gotten neutered, but some players' abilitity to learn the game remains the same. They just got more wiggle room to camp and tunnel.
Mark my words.
-
Baby Dweets.
-
I hate when it becomes overly easy to make certain plays as killer that it gives survivors VERY little choices in terms of countering.
For instance, I don't mind playing against Hag except for when they have Rusty Shackles. I feel that this add on could (at the very least) be an Iridescent add on for her, so it isn't so common.
-

I am waiting for the days after the Rework, when Killers realize that they still lose games because they are bad and not because of DS. And they will try to go for the next Perk. Yay.
Because no one is brave enough to admit that they make mistakes. Instead they would rather blame a perk, not their skill.
-
Yeah if they addressed how much slugging the killer should actually be able to do when there is only 2 players left, that would solve the issue. Because the killer would be forced to pick up the survivor at a given point... or the entity would be forced to pick them up off the ground.

And yet many killer mains (on these very forums) think you can only get tunneled off hook. 🤣

And then good old Unbreakable comes into play, which is pretty much always paired up with DS. Imagine the following scenario: you are playing your favourite killer on Gas Heaven, and you see a recently unhooked survivor, which happens to be the obsession, working on a generator. What do you do?
-Attack them and slug? Unbreakable and they are up again.
-Grab then? DS
-Leave them be? Gen gets done.
This is full invincibility and it must go.
Survivors are
encouragedrequired to bring perks that half way tone those actions down. Those actions are still broken and abused. That's why those perks are meta in red ranks. So they are conributing to the problem on their own. It only takes playing killer in red ranks to understand that.
-
If they cared about survivors being “tunneled” then:
- DS (or some form) of punishment would apply/work on First AND Second Hook. I guess they think you’re only hooked once. 😂
- As killer, You wouldn’t be able to pretend to leave a hook, step away 15 meters and come right back to track that survivor down.
If DS was actually an anti-tunnel perk, and you were being tunneled, the killer wouldn’t be able to get around it’s activation, in order to deny the timer. Slugging would turn your DS timer into a UB timer. IF it was an anti-tunnel perk. Which it isn’t.
-
No killer takes skill.
Boom.
-
So wait what exactly can the Oni do now with this macro because I already hate going against him, but how would you know if they are using this?
-
Since gen-rushing is a direct counter to hard Camping, I'm going with gen-rushing is fine.

Sounds a bit biased to me TBH.
You want DS for both hook states? That's absurd.
As for BT, it needs to be changed so you can't use it offensively, because just like DS, it makes it utterly dumb.
I love the way you criticize their opinion by claiming they are being biased, when you yourself are being biased by simple choosing to ignore how tunneling in the game isn't exclusive to only one hook nor is it based around going back to the hook every single time. There are always variables, and ways a killer can cut corners in order to deny a DS stun and still get another hook.
I am not saying it should work for every single unhook, but last time I checked you can still tunnel a survivor off their second hook and also AFTER they stun the killer. Which is fine... but yet no one is asking to nit-pick your ability to do it because of the abuse behind it.
Sounds to me like you are ok with nit-picking portions of perks as long as they don't benefit survivors. That in and of itself is being biased.
-
