    You should look at some of the kinky stuff people say about some of the other killers.

    @TAG

    Its low-key cringe tbh.

    I main Michael Myers, so I know what you mean. Looking at you person with the name “Myers’ baby girl” 😒

    Read his lore.He's a complete maniac.

    Plus, you really think dbd killers are scary? lol

    @grayon444

    I don’t think anyone is denying his lore is dark.

    His overall aesthetic feels like he belongs in a different game. There is nothing dark about it seeing as it’s just a little bit of blood splattered on his trench coat.

    By DBD standards, there should have been a vast difference between when he was just a psycho vs when he went into the fog.

    I don’t know how else to say this but, I don’t like my killers “cute” looking, and more so when they look like a survivor.

    You can spin the whole “well DBD killers are not scary” any way you want but that isn’t what people are referring to. Not the feeling of being scared but feeling like there is a menace behind them chasing them.

    They could have definitely done more to show a more gritty/dark phase of him post entering the fog.

    I think the best way to stop people killing themselves on hook is to just remove the struggle mechanic (which almost everyone hates anyway, so it's a win-win) and just make it automated. That way, it's not abusable, but new players can't be punished for being bad.

    @Fibijean

    I don’t know if I like the idea of auto-struggle only because many times it comes down to the last two and suiciding becomes optimal for a hatch play.

    This would straight up not make it fair for those survivors.

  • No but I’ve gotten players who get camped and I save them with BT, only to go down seconds later and accuse me of farming... even though I literally just gave them another chance. Lol

  • Lmao for a second I thought they had changed nurse to this and I died a little.

    No, but there is counterplay to it.

    And the person I responded to (idk if that was you) said that people just hold m1 and that's boring, as some sort of reason to punish camping maybe? Or just to complain? Or to try and make it bannable?

    So my response is that people usually just hold m1 for the majority of match if they are playing efficiently. Camping just lessens the options to do that. And it isn't unbalanced, what the hell gave you that the idea.

    Camping has counterplay, and doesn't secure a win for the killer unless the survivors are dipshits. It isn't unbalanced as the killer rarely safety pips, no matter pips when camping against none overly altruistic teams.

    Yes, I think there should be an indicator if the camper is camping the hook, but that doesn't mean it should be punished anymore than it already is. Once you can know if they're being camped (if your solo queue, run kindred ffs. It tells you this #########) then just sit on a gen and finish the match, punish the killer for camping.

    It sucks, but until they change how gens work that's what you gotta do.

    @ilovedbd123

    Gens being slowed down will fix camping?

    You mean the same gens people say to go fix if the killer is camping? Cuz there is already not enough time to do so. Slowing them down helps the camper not the other way around.

  • I think you are misinterpreting what people mean when they say “Scary”.

    For one, a standard theme that seems to follow DBD is that most (if not all) killers were human and no longer look like a human. So even if they wanted to take a different direction, this killer doesn’t have anything aesthetically that makes him look menacing or disgusting whatsoever.

    He feels like straight up out of a fighting game, especially when you watch his mori.

    Like they could have at least made his clothes look a bit more tattered and maybe play with other elements to make him look more menacing/crazy.

    Its no wonder people thought he looked like a survivor. Because he does.

  • @ilovedbd123 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1993028#Comment_1993028

    People hold m1 anyhow. Basement bubba just gives you incentive to do it. Even more than usual.

    Have you played against decent survivors who do use things efficiently so that is why it's not just basement bubba

    @ilovedbd123

    Yes they do and they also press the space bar once in a while, or M2 once in a while.

    I don’t consider unbalanced things in this game a form of an “incentive”. Playing sacrificial lamb for the day or having your finger go numb because all you did was hold M1, doesn’t optimize your points and doesn’t make you a better player.

  • Not exiting right away isn’t bullying.

    What’s next? Hop in a locker means they are bullying?

  • It’s funny how you had to ask.

    Basement Bubba is one of the most boring matches in this game. No one does anything but hold M1.

  • What’s wrong with the UI now?

    Like, does it affect your gameplay because you can’t remember who is on death hook and who’s not?

  • I think its clear that he isn't scary, but it is also clear that in terms of DBD standards where people who looked "human" with a noteable exception (Legion) no longer look human (Adiris, Wraith, Hag).

    Do I think he needs to have a monster-like head where he doesn't even look like himself? No. Do I think they should have played with darker themes around his music/face/overall aesthetic? Yes.

    Like, at this point I have heard that he looks like a survivor rather than a killer. Because he does. It's nothing against whoever made the decision at the drawing table going "Oh yeah we should make a Kpop star type killer because that sounds scary". They clearly borrowed from the Joker who is a lot more menacing and brutal that this killer.

    @Killing_Time

    Why would it be nerfed? I don't feel like it is that strong tbh. Survivors often don't immediately go for gates anyway, and playing against it, I didn't feel much of a difference.

    But then they would also need to address the counterpart, gen rushing. This has been said millions of times people

    @ilovedbd123

    They are. They are working on a "trial warm up" type feature.

    You know what I heard when they addressed the Camping question on stream?

    "It sucks, oh well"

    https://i.imgur.com/CzLbmbU.png

    Like, I don't even think they understand how abusive it can be in general let alone with specific killers.

    If they were actually invested in making the game more balanced, they would introduce Built-in options so survivors would actually play without meta perks a lot of times... and I would even go as far as saying, I'd be up for a little debuff here and there when it comes to perks like BT after.

    Which consequently it is something the killer community often complains about too.... "Why do I see BT, UB, DS in every match!" You often see that question, but never do they once ask themselves, maybe it is because survivors are tired of boring matches, where it just consists of a killer idling at the damn hook. Instead, you what they suggest? Your very own complaint "Just genrush" cuz that'll teach em right? It doesn't even begin to solve the issue, nor does it provide an interactive match. Which is what makes the game fun.

    Not holding M1 at a generator, and certainly not idling at a hook. Who wants to play that game?

  • @GodDamn_Angela said:

    "You're good 'ol fashioned camping Bubba. 3 gens down, 3 survivors left, and yeah. This is how he wins his matches."

    If he won this then that's on the Survivors, if he was camping like you are stating he was.

    I personally don't have many issues playing Solo. Some Killers or teammates can be annoying but its almost always more chill and easy compared to playing Killer ever.

    @GodDamn_Angela

    Speak for yourself.

    Playing killer is easier than playing survivor sometimes especially if you don't have any meta perks equipped, and what OP points out happens.

  • Extending a chase, you mean the very thing that ALL exhaustion perks are meant to do? NO WAY.

  • @CluelessWanderer said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1987419#Comment_1987419

    I should have mentioned that I'm on PS4 console.

    Also, I' ve been playing Killer mostly lately. MOST of my empathy goes to Killer in this game because SWF is ballz to play against.

    But the bloody camping almost makes this game intolerable for solo survivors.

    @CluelessWanderer

    Thing is some of these killers aren't camping because they think they are going against a swf.

    I face swf constantly on pc (rank 2) and the only times I really don't do too well is when I am trying a killer who I haven't played barely if at all. Which is understandable.

    Many of these killers do it without a care in the world of what it will mean to their emblem or points. Which is why I wish there were more options for that hooked survivor who now basically has to play sacrificial lamb for the entire match.... the now turned boring match.

    I don't think Camping needs more penalties because that won't stop the abuse, there is no way the game is able to tell the difference between Camping because it was a strategy vs Camping because you simply felt like it that day.

    And yes, this is one of the reasons Solo Queue is a miserable experience.

  • Until the developers start to see more examples of how incredibly busted Camping/Tunneling is in this game, they will not do anything.

    We need more options outside of perks.

    Oh, and PS. This happens in Red Ranks too.

  • Don’t care for it

  • Just goes to show how busted tunneling is.

    But let’s keep dissecting DS and it’s “abuse”.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1981895#Comment_1981895

    Someone telling you on comms where they are, when they're being chased, where a killer's traps are, where a hex totem is if he's been chased off of it, etc. represents additional information not available to a solo queue and all else equal, that information is an advantage. Emotes provide little context and only work if survivors are physically close. SWF also allows coordination of perks which maximizes their utility.

    Comms does not make a player more skillful but depending on how much the team communicates it let's him perform better with the skills he has. That's why it's easy to find red rank survivors who are potatoes because the benefits of SWF carried them. It also means skilled players boosted by SWF are more dangerous.

    Hearing from someone with 5k hours does not reassure me. It just means someone in the top X% of the player base has played enough that the gap is not meaningful.

    Again, I'm not against comms. Just think the game should be built around it.

    @spenzomatic

    Emotes provide little context? Do you play survivor? There have been plenty of matches where I was being chased meanwhile someone else went to cleanse a hex because I pointed in the direction of where it was when I spawned near them. Let's not pretend like a little bit of conversation missing doesn't get the message across.

    Again, I don't see how someone who plays fully immersed is going to somehow...magically just get better during a chase. What I am trying to say is that telling my friend "Hey guess what, their Ruin is where you are located currently", isn't going to make them perform better when they go down because they didn't look behind or overestimated the distance they had before they should have vaulted a window. Advantageous information doesn't improve the skillset needed to escape the match.

    The gap is not meaningful because I don't think the gap is as big as you think it is. You only have to truly understand both sides to know this.

  • @Tsulan said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1982811#Comment_1982811

    See message above.

    Also, survivors could equip Lauries aura blocking perk (don't remember the name now) and Wake Up.

    @Tsulan

    It's still an alternative way of escaping, which is within the lore of the game as well.

    I don't see it as a "second chance" I see it as a mechanic that could be improved as what it is meant for... a last resort.

  • @Tsulan said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1982515#Comment_1982515

    Hatch is a outdated mechanic. That can be easily removed, by simply triggering the EGC once there is only 1 survivor left.

    They could increase the minimum distance between the gates or buff Wake Up to compensate.

    @Tsulan

    Sorry but saying it is outdated isn’t reason enough to convince me that it should be removed.

    Also, triggering the EGC instead of hatch spawning, would be like what happens when the killer finds hatch immediately. Most gates don’t open because the gates are too close. With the right killer/perk (like whispers) it’s like we’re back to boring gameplay again.

    That idea isn’t interactive whatsoever.

  • i really need blood points,

    thanks!

  • @Tsulan said:

    Easier approach: just remove the hatch.

    Problem solved.

    @Tsulan

    Im curious... why remove it and not re-work it to make it more fun/interactive?

    As much as I am not a fan of keys atm, Im against flat out removing things. Hatch has a place in this game, it would be great if there was some rng attached to the actual key itself (for example) so it may , may not work when using it. Could even be attached to those luck offerings that just take up space in our inventories.

  • Don’t need the boost, I welcome SWF teams when I play killer.

  • @DTJObe said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1981895#Comment_1981895

    SWF obviously want to play on easy mode with comms, though.

    @DTJObe

    It really isn’t. If it was we wouldn’t have the current kill rates that we currently do.

  • @Woot1234 said:

    I don't buy the argument that SWF with comms is not so bad if they aren't being all sweaty about it. You're telling me if you get chased by a killer and run by a hex you don't call it out to your friends? Any amount of comms that give away information not available to a solo queue player is an unfair advantage over a solo queue player. It's a matter of a sliding bar how unfair it is.

    But I don't blame survivors for doing it. As stated by many, the game needs to close the gap between solo queue and SWF. In fact, I'd even welcome in-game comms support to level the playing field as long as the game is balanced around it.

    @spenzomatic

    I can emote to follow and point at where the hex is to a random teammate as well.

    You act as if it is that big of a deal. If you suck in solo queue you are going to suck in SWF too. Skill is not dictated by any amount of comms information.

    In other words telling the person who immerses most of the time “Hey the killer is coming your way!” Isn’t going to somehow make them better at running the killer.

    I don’t buy this whole “gap” because in over 5k hours I have had more matches where I’ve won while facing SWF. Many times they are weaker because they are easily baited due to them being ultra-altruistic.

    Making killers stronger (especially those who do not need it) could overtune them and make them less balanced, and nobody wants to play on easy mode.

  • @LiunUK said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1977586#Comment_1977586

    yes because there are 4 other players in the match who you just wasted their time

    @LiunUK

    I could live with someone not being able to do anything because the game crashed them and I am stuck in a 3v1 match.

    Why? Because it has happened to me as well, no network issue the game flat out crashing with an error. So you only have to go through it yourself to understand it isn’t as simple as “oh well that sucks for you” when the system itself is busted as it is. OP obviously acknowledges that. Doesn’t mean the system works either.

    For one they could at least start tracking people who manually click “leave match” or getting rid of that button. It would discourage people trying to dc every chance they can.

  • It’s a legit strat to get out of a boring game where a killer is facecamping and you don’t feel like playing sacrificial lamb for the day.

  • I have no problem with Dead Hard as a perk when I play killer, so I disagree with you.

    The problem I have is when people say things like “It is unhealthy for the game because it lets the survivor waste more time...” because you assume that it always does. More than half of the people I have encountered either didn’t expect me to wait it out or simply end up running into a wall from being out-positioned, or just got unlucky because this perk is worthless in a dead zone.

    So that alone does not make the perk unhealthy, add to that the the perk has conditions like being injured and the distance isn’t great.

    I get that it’s annoying for some because they feel it can’t be countered, but that doesn’t make it unhealthy.

    What feelings are we talking about?

    Being afraid of LGBTQ+ characters?

    @OniWantsYourMacaroni

    I think what they mean is they want LGBTQ characters that are in the closet. Since that won't 'hurt' people's feelings because god knows the world will end if they add a character with too many colors in their cosmetics who is openly gay.

    At least that is what I got from them.

  • @Pirate said:

    A comment like this gives me the Idea! You are litterly attacking me out of nowhere and are trashtalking my idea! thinking that only your opinion is the right one. Sorry but your opinion is not the law and not accepted by everyone on this planet. Revealing the sexiality of any character was a stupid idea from the start because now we have this situation. If we would know nothing about any character people could assume what ever they want and be right for them self.

    Making an existing character gay is not lazy but briliant psychological step to damage control! People are more likely to accept small changes to things they know then big changes of unknown! Making e.g. Hag gay will make people mad that would get mad anyway over LGBTQ but adding a new Killer/survivor + making them an agenda will double hate because every new character is discussed controversial in this community.

    @Pirate

    What situation? You mean the one where the developers of the game have explicitly expressed their support for the very people who support their game that happen to be part of the LGBTQ community?

    I am not attacking your idea, I am simply saying that you don't understand... and here is the evidence:

    Untitled Image

    *desperately

    Stop implying that people "desperately" need an LGBTQ character, simply because they made a suggestion. There is absolutely nothing wrong with asking for representation, and everyone is entitled to make requests.

    I never said my opinion was the law, what does that have anything to do with that I said? So let me get this correct... You think that because a group of individuals suggested that an LGBTQ character be added to the game, it's not going to appease others? Whoa no way. I mean when other characters were added I'm pretty sure not everyone got excited for them. This is how it already works.

    I'm not even going to respond to your last message because it's filled with non sense. Are you seriously suggesting a "lesser-more-subtle" addition of a queer character because you fear of what the community will think?

    Untitled Image

  • "may our paths never cross on the trials because you will be here complaining about me."

    But your post is basically complaining about them. I doubt you are even in their heads, as much asd they seem to be in yours. They moved on to the next match.

  • Wow, what are you reading that is giving you the impression there is a civil war?

    I've seen civil and educational conversations, because a lot of people (much like you) don't understand.

    I'd suggest to educate yourself before making a suggestion about LGBTQ inclusion, because your "Solution" sounds like a lazy idea, not to mention it sounds more like a 'token-queer' character idea.

    That's not what I meant, If they introduce a gay/lesbian character that looks feminine or masculine I would have no problem. Just with how a drag queen looks in dbd's aesthetic. I am very pro-lgbt and have no problem with them in dbd, just not a drag queen.

    @TheButcher6641

    I think it’s very hard to understand just exactly what you mean. Let me tell you why.

    In your ogirinal post you say you wouldn’t be opposed to them adding something in a “discreet” kind of way, now you are saying that you’re ok with them looking either masculine or feminine. Just not..... in drag?

    So, first off. You do know that drag is just a “character” right? Like even drag queens themselves will tell you they are a dude in a wig and a dress. So just because there might be a cosmetic that is done creatively (think they were taken by the entity on a night they performed-type of thing) that is interesting! Not just for cosmetic purposes but storytelling.

    Because then you could have them in something that could resemble their art, and maybe have other cosmetics where they are out of drag. You follow?

    Also, you do realize (as others have pointed out) we have “silly” looking costumes already. Kate Denson looking kind of “draggish” in this ensemble:

    0459C902-1A7A-49D2-9F41-02104F799EA8.png

  • So you’re ok with it as long as they are “discreet” about it.

    Sounds like when people say they are ok with gay couples but as long as they are discreet about it. 🙄

    You didn’t even provide a reason why a drag character wouldn’t fit. Instead you tried to pre-warn us with the same tired “I’m not homophobic but...” opening I’ve heard many people using on here.

  • I know I’m prolly in the minority but I much prefer Corrupt over those two. I think it’s because of the way I play maybe, which then again I do play Michael. So I want survivors slow in the beginning while looking for gens. So I can stalk them. 😈

  • Why do you want to know why they t-bag?

    Why not instead just stop going to the exit gates so you won’t have to witness them crouching up and down.

    I normally want more points so I’ll take the free hits. If it bothered me that much that they t bag I wouldn’t do it.

  • @Yords said:

    @Yords

    If two years ago, you would have told me they were making a characters with 2 characters in one (Twins) I would have not believed you.

    Now, not so much. The game has to evolve at some point.

    I haven't been camped in over two weeks (unfairly at least, camping to secure a kill after that person ran you till after last gen pop or for a large amount of time, etc. is absolutely legitimate, I don't see wild animals leaving their injured prey for another animal to find and eat so why should killers do it?)

    It's a problem sure but it's a situation bred from panic and inexperience.

    There's a chance that bubba let their friend try, were memeing or (and this is more likely than you think) changed his rank manually via hacks to be rank 1 without any effort.

    @Chchchcheryl

    When you frame your response with "It's a legitimate tactic" It is always going to sound like it is something that isn't a problem. Camping can and is being abused by killers, like, I don't know why we are acting like this hasn't been a thing since the game first released.

    I don't see how comparing the scenario I brought up (which is common in this game) with an predator irl is in any way shape or form relative?

    This is a game with rules and it is supposed to be as balanced as possible, correct? If it's not then people will raise concern, much like this new player AND many other people have on these forums and other outlets where DBD discussions happen.

  • @Chchchcheryl said:

    That's the way it is in DBD at low ranks.

    I'm sorry, it does get better.

    Please stick it out.

    Killer is more fun anyway do that!! :))

    @Chchchcheryl

    This isn't just a low rank issue. I am in red ranks and in fact just went against a Bubba (who was trash btw) didn't know how to run tiles and didn't know how to use his chainsaw. Yet, because of our set up + his power he camped his first hook and immediately forced them to go to phase 2. All while having Undying/Ruin and gens he could easily patrol with hardly any issue. He was a rank 1 btw.

    I am not saying there isn't a portion of what the survivors need to bring to the table, but Camping is a problem in this game. 5000 hours in and I can see past the bs that this tactic allows killers to get kills they would have otherwise not gotten.

    Devs need to wake up.

  • The developers of this game want everyone to run BT, UB, DS and the like. Even though those perks are literally not guaranteed to work.

    Sorry to see you go, but until these tactics get properly looked at, I'm afraid we will see more new players leave. Until then I hope you find a game that isn't as unbalanced as this one.

  • As much as I don’t care for Candyman, you should have done your research. He does fit in, and is basically a supernatural slasher. Not to mention adding the bees in some form would add to his aesthetic.

    As for Chucky, well that (as you said) is your opinion. He still remains at the top of the list of most popular requests for a DBD killer. He would be unique in the sense that there are no doll-like killers yet, is literally a slasher doll and iconic as far as classic horror movies is concerned. The survey below was done just 4 months ago.

    A33A0FA4-52DF-4ED2-97CA-01F679F3FE0C.png

  • There is no equivalence... wanna know why?

    PERK vs BUIlT-IN MECHANIC

    Bloodlust isn’t even balanced in this game anymore. There are no more infinites and if you are getting ran at an “infinite” then that means you were always bad at chases to begin with.

  • And the next killer is:
