So why haven't Survivors?
@Tzeentchling9 They do and they have.
They have received nerfs on various “broken” issues.
This has nothing to do with survivor complaint. It has to do with something that is broken.

If the devs were willing to make the demogorgon work in the game. Making a new rig/body structure for it, then I think they would and could do the same for chucky if they really want him.
@SpacingLlamas I agree.
I think they could get really creative with him and his kit.
-
Obviously his FoV would be different than other killers.
Dunno why people keep thinking he would work like every other killer lol
Which when you think about it, is a good thing because we need killers that feel different.
-
I can’t wait for the thread “BHVR started following *insert Chucky rights owners*” 😂
seriously tho, that is interesting. I would love to see Chucky in this game. Understandably they would have to create new tech for a smaller character but needless to say it would be awesome.

Meg all the way.
Princess of DBD.
-
I don’t find it unfun... sometimes challenging? Yes.
I don’t pay attention to who/what joins my matches. I ready up walk away and get a drink and come back and we’re already in the match half the time.
-
No.
This is why DS is balanced because it can only be used once per player.
-
No. You can bring whatever you want.
Not everyone DCs because of what build/items you bring. There are many reasons why people DC.
You will be seeing a lot of DCs because of the new matchmaking system and people intentionally deranking for example.

What Dead Hard does is it temporally removes your hit-box it doesn't grant you an invulnerability state like Mettle or Borrowed Time do
Likely what's wrong with the dedicated servers is the DH lags behind meaning you either get the no hitbox status way earlier or later
@BlueFang That makes sense, so like a desync issue
-
@MegsAreEvil said:
No. Sometimes it just doesnt do its dash. Should be a known issue. Also it never did avoid damage, the text is just not a good wording. The avoid refers to the dash, so you avoid it cause you dash forward and there is no hit registrated. Killer would just kill themselfs if it could avoid damage by IFs.
What I want to know is why would it register as if Dead Hard actually worked (meaning you get these icons):
But you got downed when you would have normally dashed.
I'm trying to figure out if this is a bug or intented.

Git gud
*cries in Spirit footsteps* 😭
-
Lol Trapper is at the bottom?
I’d put him in the middle (at least). He is a very good killer if you know what you’re doing.
-
Personally I find the spirit has very little counterplay, with most of it being “let me guess where she is”.
My biggest complaint about her isn’t even Prayer Beads, it’s how easy it is to find survivors using their grunts and sounds considering her weakness is suppose to be that she can’t see them.
-
That's awesome :D
-
Having recently tried her I feel like she should not be categorized as “hard”.
Her weakness which is to not be able to see survivors becomes worthless when the sound of survivors are very obvious where they are coming from... you stop paying attention to scratch marks and just focus on sound.
This is just my opinion after day 5 of trying her. I can’t even imagine what a few weeks playing her would do.
-
I like playing Claudette because of her cosmetics.
Blendettes were nerfed so now the new go to outfit is her P3 skin. Don’t think they are only hiding though, many of them have flashlights waiting to blind the next killer that crosses them.
-
My problem with camping is simple.
As long as it is part of the current meta so will DS, BT, Syringe Squads, Gen Rush squads.
Survivors (Especially at red ranks) will come prepared.
Tunneling and Camping have the potential to be a strategy but don’t fool yourself into thinking that if that’s the only thing you do, you will win the match.

Ok ngl I was expecting amateur fan made music... that sounds like a legit soundtrack.
Very asian horror vibe... I LOVE IT!

For the screenshot in the OP, the low ranked players were likely playing with one (or both) of the rank 8 players. The matchmaking uses the highest rank in the party for matchmaking purposes now (since the 3.2.1 hotfix). We're currently reviewing the impact this has had on matchmaking and gameplay.
@Peanits Thank you for keeping our concerns in mind.
Im sure there is a way to meet in the middle where neither side will have to deal with someone who is too far on the other side of their own skill level.

To me is a hit or a miss.
I have noticed more sweaty than not.
I’ve even seen more omega blink ebony mori no ed nurses.
-
I miss his animation when he put survivors to sleep, that’s about it xD
-
@MissKitty95 Its ok because you know... The Nea totally knew she was probably going to be matched with someone much higher than her level.... So the game wanted to give you a free cookie... don’t you like free cookies? (Sarcasm)

@JustAFeeling The bigger question is where is Angela from Night of The Demons? 😈
Big 80’s horror film fan here xD

Be working on a generator and all of a sudden a doll on the ground turns its head “Hi! I’m Chucky wanna play?” O.O
*Blows up gen*

Ok.

To me complaining about loops “taking too much time” and completely denying the fact that Bloodlust give you a FREE pass in maps where the majority of the pallets are unsafe is kind of comical.
You drop a pallet and the killer can practically walk around it, swing and hit you. Actually the majority do this in red ranks. Build BL because it doesn’t take that long to build it up, and then just catch up to you.
Some loops are strong but they only become strong after you have chosen to commit to that chase. Meaning if you have already been looped somewhere else else and then the survivor ends up at an even stronger loop, you can’t be mad because that was your choice to follow them around the entire map.

Oh she is incredibly annoying to play against, people hate going against her. Nobody is denying that.
Yeah but what are the survivors like? Do they seem decent? You can stomp potatoes with any killer.
Once you get a good group on a terrible map with brown add-ons it becomes a struggle to keep pressure.
@MegMain98 Unless you have Iron Will, there is 0 to little mindgame with her.... even the best survivor will have a hard time with her because it's mostly a guessing game.
I was surprised with how loud survivors sound when they are injured and how many people actually thought it wasn't loud enough. lol

To be fair she’s not easy to play for newer players. Her ability isn’t as friendly to new players like Wraith’s is. It takes a little time to be good with Spirit. Just seems easy when players have played her for a while, like Nurse
@MegMain98 My 3rd time trying her and I can see why people find annoying to play against.
She is very easy to learn. You dont need to see survivors or their scratch marks, because their grunts give away their position.
-
Change her difficulty to Easy.
OR
Keep the difficulty, and nerf Prayer Beads + Collision.
-
You forget that even if the design changed there are always going to be “meta” builds like there are in every other game.
I mean I’ve actually seen people bring perks that normally I don’t see. A lot of times it’s a good option to have for survivors because they are least expected.
I think though, the problem you see is what happens when you’re allowed to combine any perks you want and people are ultimately going to go for the strongest combos. This is a pvp game after all.
-
Honestly I feel that while you break everything down in way that makes sense, you over exaggerate.
One thing that I never see being brought up whenever someone brings up the topic of “gen rush” is the significant skill gap that exists.
Yes I am sure we’ve all experienced some type of “gen rush” at some point... but regardless, the fact that we don’t even bother to discuss how/what/when took place during the match almost makes me skeptical about how much the player actually did to warrant claiming that they got “gen rushed”.
Many have cried “gen rush” and posted videos to back their own ideas up, only to be met with criticism about said video pointing out legitimate mistakes that were made that essentially caused them to lose the match... and then it still doesn’t speak for that person’s own experience, which is the one that really counts.
Skill is important in this game and I’m not saying that even the most skilled won’t experience a match where survivors make it very known that they came prepared to do gens, but I do firmly believe that there are many players who still have yet to learn things that would help them outside of simply relying on perks/add ons... like how to properly apply map pressure, or when to slug, or how to loop shack etc etc.
Just my 2 cents.

It's not only affecting you from playing with your friends, but solo queue at red ranks in general. I get yellow and greens in every lobby I join and you can see this trend with some streamers as well having to leave a majority of lobbies because they know what will happen. Anyone with any sense knows a rank 1 killer should not have yellows in his lobby, but some people don't get that sadly.
@Regionlock I wholeheartedly agree with you.
Played against rank 19s earlier and I felt gross afterwards.
They said “Bullying the killer was bad” but somehow “Bullying a survivor” is ok. Cuz you know CoMMs
-
What about moris, exhaustion add ons, dead hard, keys, all gens, gen rushing, tiles, corn in the cornfield maps, basement chests etc.
lets Just remove the everything.
new game: Dead by Emptiness
-
People are also getting booted from the game by the game itself.
-
I find it has too many conditions for something as simple as a heal.
You can heal faster through other methods.

@TAG said:

We can nerf moris too, if you like. Those are also problematic.
@TAG I don't find them problematic.
Boring? Yes. Problematic? I don't think so.
-
Let's just get rid of every tool that is deemed powerful for survivors... let the survivor playerbase decline and watch these killers wait 5 hours for a match.
-
Killers pull the plug too... I mean I've seen it... just cleanse their ruin... boom. Game Over.
-
As I said before this will only encourage deranking... even if it means killing yourself on hook.
I know some random people in my matches have already started doing it.
I don't even consider this a nerf, I just think they flipped the side that gets to be bullied. IF they are doing this for the supposed "bullying".
-
The problem isn’t ruin being used, it’s ruin spawn locations making the perk useless.
Ruin when we’ll hidden does the job.
Also now everyone runs it.
-
Personally I don’t think the game being asymmetrical has created this “feud”. The game didn’t make you think someone is being “toxic” because they HAD to play in a way that you didn’t particularly enjoy.
I personally think the “feud” comes from your own attitude towards the people you play with and against. So many times I have been frustrated with my own team and I try to make it a teaching moment by pointing out what we could have done better and I am met with “stop being so salty” by both the killer and the bad players. Instead they are more interested in calling each other names. Which just goes to show that any type of criticism post match is deemed as a bad thing.
This is the same attitude I see on the forums sometimes.
-
As long as the killer is fun, has a unique feel and perks are good that’s pretty much all I care about.
The last two originals have been kinda meh, this coming from a Plague main.
The thing I like about licensed killers is some of them we will probably never see them in a game again.

There were certainly SWF groups that were bullying the lower rank players. But even if they weren't being toxic, going against a group thats highly coordinated, knows how to loop well, and is just playing to the best of their abilities but is WAY better than you, isn't much fun either. One can only take so many "learning experiences" before they decide to just move on.
Again, broken record here, but its about choice and expectation management. SWF groups CHOSE to SWF group. They know what to expect. Killers didn't get that benefit.
@MisterCremaster I never once said that there aren’t survive a friend groups that are toxic, but I also believe that just because someone wants to play with their friend should not be punished to play against someone who is three times higher rank in more experienced than they are.
Because if bullying was the reason you had a problem with how it was before in the first place, You would have a problem with the low rank survivor playing against a higher rank killer too.
Personally as a killer I don’t want to be facing rank 17’s simply because they chose to play with their friends .
-
Lovely how these people suggesting...
“go play another game if you want to play with your friends” “tell your friends to get better”
Are the same ones claiming they were getting bullied in a video game.
So I guess it’s ok as long as it’s not happening to YOU. Right?
Double standard on the forums strikes again.
-
Nothing. For me I'd rather them use it earlier than later in EGC when I can't afford it.
-
You'll see dc'ing more with the new rank system.
Whispers activates when you are 48/40/32 meters from a survivor. The whispers icon lights up and you will hear the entity whispers as well.
-
Nope.

Not if your friend just starts in low ranks and works their way up.
What was the choice the killer had?
@TAG Oh yeah, cuz solo queues are much better. You must not play solo survivor.
All I want is balance for both. You want balance for one side. I get it now.
