You do realize it's PC players playing killer on crossplay as well. I go against the same killers with both setting options.

Nice, using an ad hominem to try and discredit my argument. Unfortunately for you, none of my posts are bait posts.

All you have to do is pop 2 gens in the middle of the map first and you have gens all the way across the map from each other which takes plenty of time for the killer to patrol
Not possible if the killer plays a 3 gen from start to finish.

Killer is too easy, add more gens, nerf pop, nerf clown, your trash if you use Mori/key/perks, cross play ruined the game, remove dc penalty bcuz I got a 6h+ ban, ect. They don't even try anymore.

I made posts about them, but nerfing pop further and increasing the # of gene to stop 3 gens.

Actually it's really balanced, it rewards killer for making a good play, not like cought DS cought..
DS works as intended. It prevents killers from tunneling.
It's no fun as survivor if you get hooked twice within 60 seconds.

Sounds like a sweaty SWF. So your team apparently made a mistake by letting 3 gen and you say giving free kill to the killer? I guess you T-bagged the killer to make him chase you.
We tried that but it didn't work.

OK, this has to be bait. However, if you ARE actually this stupid, let me throw some math at you.
Kicking a gen with Pop regresses the gen by 25%, or 20 seconds for a single survivor. However, this does not buy you 20 seconds. You still have to make your way to the gen. Let's talk best case scenario hero. Let's say the gen is right beside the hook. Walking over to it takes about, say, 3 seconds. Then, you have to kick the gen, which takes 2 seconds by default. Now you're down to 15 seconds you gained, or 18.75% while 3 other survivors are still doing gens. Every second a survivor is on gens, let's just ignore skillchecks, progresses the gen by 1.25%. 5 seconds x 1.25 progress per second x 3 survivors = 18.75%. Subtract the progress survivors get while you get to the gen to pop it from the time you gain from Popping the gen, you gain a total of 0 seconds. So, essentially, Pop just reverts the progress made in 5 seconds by 3 survivors, but only on a single generator. And this is best case scenario. In the best case scenario, kicking a gen with Pop is just as worthless as facecamping.
Complain about a Killer perk again. I'll show you why you're wrong.
20 seconds is an eternity for survivors.

Yeah, listen to the guy using an ad hominem.

depends.
if they were sneaking around, not letting him find them then its their fault.
if they did not play stealthy though and the killer actively decided to never commit to a chase but instead protect his 3 gen (making it impossible to get anything done), then its the killer who is denying the survivors their ability to progress their objective while simultaneously not progressing their own objective.
holding the game hostage is something both sides can do.
The scenario that occured is as you described. Eventually we went to the other side of the map and waited him out since it was obvious he had no interest in commiting to any chases.

Where did I say doctor?
Either way it wasn't a demo, it was a deathslinger.

It takes no time to start up a good PC either.

Annoying the killer so they DC is not an escape. Even if it is, it is definitely not an acceptable one.
Besides, if you were in a SWF, you should have easily been able to put pressure on the 2 gens furthest from each other and eventually get one done. Either via making the Doctor commit to one of the two or keep bouncing back and forth and not get either person. You are in the wrong on this.
It was an extremely close 3 gen. We tried for a bit but he would give up chase as soon as we left the 3 gen.
His fault for not chasing.

Not touching gens for 40 minutes is against the rules and counts as holding the game hostage. It is a bannable offense if the killer reports you. No, you guys 3-genning yourselves does not make it okay. This is not arguable, it is not my opinion: it is what the devs have stated.
We weren't hiding. We let the killer see us but he didn't chase us because he knew we would take him away from the 3 gen.
Sorry, but I'm not going to do a gen in a killers face so he can down me for free. Of he wanted to chase us he could have.

No, you have to work pretty hard to 3-Gen yourself, or the Killer has to herd you.
A killer can always force a 3 gen.

How many of those are killer in red ranks. Can't be more than zero. If you did you'd realise how not particularly strong of a perk (actually pretty bad when you do the math. Its exclusively good when survivors mess up and tap a gen you just popped then go down next to it) pop is. At this point I'd consider just Ruin or Surge better than Pop.
There's a reason most killers at red ranks use pop.
-
@FFirebrandd said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1772803#Comment_1772803
Um... no? The Killer has a dual objective. Kill all the Survivors before they can escape. The Survivors meanwhile only have 1 goal... escape. They have multiple ways of doing so, but still only have that one goal. The Killer patrolling a 3 gen is still doing the second half of his objective. You may not like his methods, but keeping Gens from turning on is part of his objective. Your SWF chilling on the far side of the map is not doing anything to further your objective. Your SWF was indeed holding the game hostage.
Then we were also achieving are goal. We escaped using this strategy after all.
Either way the "achieving the goal" argument is a poor argument.

That's YOUR SWF's fault for holding the game hostage, not the killers.
Killer could have chased us but he instead decided to patrol the 3 gen. HE was the one holding hostages.

My dude, there are 7 generators per map. Pop can only be applied to 1 at a time. Likely what's happening is you're going down too quickly and letting the Killer get Pop over and over again. The perk is only as good as Survivors let it be. Git gud.
Killer is way stronger than survivors. Why do you think they're removing BL?

Only 30 seconds? Maybe if the killer is a Nurse/Spirit/Deathslinger or something.
You can last longer than 30 seconds against the majority of killers just by camping every pallet and holding W. You can make pallets like the shack last for minutes against many killers. You need to learn how to loop.
Pop is not even worth stopping to kick the gen with sometimes. My main use for it is getting another tinkerer proc, and ruin/undying is still better for it than that.
You're probably right, 30 seconds is still too long since you can reach any gen on the map. It should only give you enough time to reach close gens.

Pop is useless now on Tier I unless the generators with a survivor repairing them are the ones closer to you.

What ranks are you playing at? This sounds like green rank problems. Even a Freddy with pop on a three gen can still have that generator finished so long as the survivors don’t act like idiots.
Red-purple.

If the survivors are going down that fast, the killer would have won without regression perks.
Pop is mediocre at best these days. You get like 3x the stall from ruin undying than corrupt pop if you can get the ball rolling early, which is usually easy with discordance/tinkerer showing you exactly where to go.
It doesn't even have to be fast. Getting to a hook, unhooking the survivor, healing the survivor, then getting back on a gen can take over 30 seconds.
Being chased by the killer for that long is a good chase.
-
@Crowman said:
Well if a killer is constantly downing survivors and applying pressure preventing survivors from working on gens, what is pop actually doing then? Survivors aren't getting gens done anyways.
Because it prevents even the 1 gen survivors are trying to finish from being completed. Survivors have a bit of a chance if they can do one gen at the time (3 survivors pressured means 1 can do gens), but pop obliterates this possibility.
-
I've never had any problems with it. Even when using that bright map add on while doing a gen, I can still see the skull check just fine.
-
@[Deleted User] said:

Unhook and heal your teammate. Then you have two extra survivors to spread out gen progress. Even better, do a gen before healing and the killer will have almost no value from Pop.
Survivors that complain about Pop are the ones that hop on the first generator they see with 1 or 2 teammates. At the end, they 3 gen themselves and then complain about Pop being "too strong".
Takes time to relieve that pressure. Once you've ran to hook, unhooked, healed, go to gen, start working on it again, the killer has downed another survivor and 3 are pressured soon enough again.
You can't spread work in gens when the design of the game has 3 survivors under constant pressure.
-
Never has, never will.
-
Wait, is it over? I can stop afking when playing killer now?
-
@[Deleted User] said:
Spread out gen progress. The killer can only apply Pop on a single gen.
After a hook the killer can pressure 3 survives at a once (1 is hooked, 1 can be chased, and one needs to save).
Can't spread out progress if only 1 person can do gens.

You sound really dumb right now. This isn't a advanced game and has nothing to do with the platforms. The fact is that DBD has TERRIBLE optimization and even on PC that can be encountered. Stop defending this terrible coding.
You get the opposite effect as killer, that's why you shouldn't okay killer with crossplay off.
I get over 100 fps on max settings on PC with no stuttering, so idk what you mean by poor optimization on both platforms.

I use a computer all day long at work, and don't want to game on one. Gaming to me is a controller in my hand on a console, has been since my first Colecovision. And I doubt I'm alone in feeling that.
The root of it is the performance of this game, and just this game, on console. Almost two years have passed since the devs swore on a stack of tech manuals we all would get that steady 60 fps no matter the platform. Hasn't happened, and now it feels like "Yeah about that... well sorry but........ bye............."
Consoles are slower and less powerful (and more restrictive).
Even if you wanted to use the excuse "bUt CoNtRoLleR gOoD" you can just get a controller for the PC.
PC can do everything a console can but better (and more).
-
Nothing. The lore is boring.
-
They can barely cope fixing bugs. This ain't happening.

What?
can we please not start a PC master race against console plebs or vice versa war?
crossplay is one of the few things actually implemented very well from the devs.
Nope, it's only negatively effected PC queue times to the extent that disabling it makes the queue faster as survivor.
-

Yes that's right take a seat get cozy and listen up
Now it's been in the game for a while it is time to once again talk about bloodfavor
I think it's no secret that it might be the worst perk for killers right now... B..But monstrous shrine, well at least monstrous shine stays in the game for 30 seconds albeit terrible.
It's just too many conditions not enough reward. And it's a hex so most likely it gone on 30 seconds as I said.
Now blocking pallets can be useful but 16 seconds in a 16m radius is kinda meh. Then a cooldown on top yikes if it's gonna be a hex it should be at tier 3 32 seconds 32 meters
Its probably better of not being a hex too then that might justify the cooldown. But yeah hope you sort it out man.
I know dbd has a lot of stuff that needs sorting but hopefully one day it will be useful. If tachanka can actually be good and viable now (yes I just used that very dead meme) then so can monstrous sole, surrvivor and blood favour etc.
Most perks for killer are trash. Most perks for survivor are trash.
The game is balanced around the few good perks. Easier for the devs.
-
You will get pallet stuns against good killers. Good killers don't respect pallets.
Youre low rank.

Feeling forced? Yeah maybe.
but as a rational thinking human being I would know it’s because of the playerbase and the console platforms and it is not BHVR forcing me.
i may even make a suggestion to change the crossplay settings but without any insults and demands.
PC players make up most the player base. We shouldn't be negatively affected by console player kids because they made a poor system choice, yet the devs are choosing consoles over PC.
