Let's speculate on who it could be:

My first candidate would be the Twins and here's why:

Back in early July, a Hotfix came out that changed some of The Twins' add-on descriptions:

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/3VV29GDF0M82/image.png

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/YWG09AS18F46/image.png

(btw the add-ons descripted as "OLD" and "NEW" are the other way around)

At first, many people including @ManWithALemon thought this was a shadow-nerf to The Twins, as the developers didn't announce anything regarding changes to The Twins and these add-ons, especially the 'Drop of perfume' add-on which serves no purpose to The Twins.

However after deeper research, @ManWithALemon concluded that this must be another case of Clown's party bottle add-on leak which hinted at his rework. From the wording of these add-ons and how useless they are, it's theorised that we could be seeing some Artifical Intelligence (similar to The Nemesis' zombies) added to Victor.

My second/third likely candidates are Pig and Myers:

Earlier on I commented on @bedlord's post stating that Pig and Myers were expected to receive an add-on pass in the future:

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/7UVTXQ868UVY/image.png

Although Pig's power may remain the same, Myers's power may get some changes.

If Twins do get some AI addition I wonder how it would work? Possibly, if you are controlling either one and then get far enough away they start roaming around on their own?

  • Honestly, I don't have a problem with this. I had a game against a clown once and they downed me in there. They then proceeded to leave me on the ground and throw bottles at me until I bleed out. Other survivors could not get me, because he was just standing over me, and I couldn't crawl out of the room, because he refused to break the walls.

That would be a great Cheech and Chong Corsican Brothers DLC.

Had to look up what that was and had a good laugh.

i was thinking this would be like legion. I feel like it could use more than this due to the longer set up, legion is better than this by also gaining info on survivors.

It's a good start, though. The power itself is pretty rough around the edges and could go anywhere really.

  • @Soulpaw said:

i think it should work like so.

Power-Fate Bound: Press to activate, your next basic attack will also apply Fate Bound.

Fate Bound: After hitting a survivor that is already has fate bound, all other survivors that have Fate bound lose a heathstate. If any fatebound survivors were to go down, instead they gain the Deep Wound Status effect for 20 seconds and lose Fate Bound.

The only issue i see with this is the set up will take awhile to apply but i can see it working like this.

Hit a survivor, hit again with Fate Bound then hook. Find another, repeat. Find another, repeat, fate bound the last one then hit him with a basic attack to harm all the other survivors.

Sounds like that could work. Like an alternative to Legion in a way.

I don't know why that would be a huntress bug or a bug at all. it's so weirdly out of place even for a bug

It is something I'm willing to go out and test, I'll try playing some, see if I go against a Huntress, and see if it happens to me.

  • Like I said, not really sure. Plus, the info that both games were against Huntress, makes me lean more towards glitch/bug, but who knows? It is bizarre, that's for sure.

Ohh what if it's a short ranged attack like nemmisis that dosent do damage until you press the second ability to lock their souls together and when one takes damage all of them do and it breaks the chain

I like that that, but it shouldn't down someone, that would be really overpowered.

  • I have no idea, first time I've seen it. Either a glitch/ bug or something that was going to be added in the next chapter, but accidentally added in this patch.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/271957/just-spitballing-a-killer-power

Sounds interesting there would probably be a requirement to get that to work

Yeah, maybe you have a special attack that applies the effect on a survivor, then you use it again on another and it completes the link. Heck, at that point you might as well be able to link all the survivors. The only question is should that special attack do damage?

  • There are already an abundance of 12 year olds playing.

When I open a locker as Huntress or Trickster to reload and there is a survivor in there that I didn't know about. I scream and have a heart attack every time.

I once downed someone as Oni, went to pick them up and accidentally opened a locker and there was a survivor in there. Gave me a little jump.

  • I mean, they are AI. Being mad at AI for face camping or tunneling is like being mad at a vending machine that gets whatever you bought stuck. They didn't do it maliciously like a killer could, because they have no feelings or thoughts to interfere with their coding. I agree it's annoying, but not much can be done unless something is fixed.

  • The Devs have spent months of work and a lot of money to bring this map into the game, there is no way they are going to throw away all those assets and all that effort away because some people don't like it. There are people who like it. I'm one of them, never played an RE game ever, but I like the look and learning how to play on it feels rewarding. If you or anyone else don't like it, that's fine, no one is asking you or anyone else to like it.

    That Jeff one sounds terrifying.

  • I don't know if you are looking for any meme builds, but I think a good one for Hillbilly is one that I run on Legion and Oni.

Nemisis, Make Your Choice, Rancor, and Furtive Chase.

    I call it, Rancor Roulette.

Blackout could introduce a different type of effect that, when lit, gen repair speeds can be reduced. Maybe more a brown out than blackout, but it could be a good way to slow down the mid-game. I'm uncertain whether it'll be that strong in its current form, especially with so many oblivious perks and add-ons about.

Backstab I like! Could cause people to think more carefully about helping a dying survivor so close to the killer, even if it just focuses on the obsession. Although, with the obsession being passed, this has potential for a domino effect.

Insanity I also really like, as it could be a double-edged sword: With every totem lit, they'll be easier to spot or hear nearby, so totems could also be cleansed far more quickly. Yet it also can delay the trial progress. It's a bit of a crap-shoot, and could benefit either side.

For Blackout I wanted something that took away survivor information at around the mid-game point. Third Seal being a thing means blindness would just be redundant. I didn't want it to do anything with generator speeds because inevitably it would draw comparisons with "old ruin" and just be called "old ruin but worse" If I were to change it to something else, I'd make it lit from the start, then after a certain amount of time and it hasn't been cleansed, it blocks all unfinished generators for maybe 60 seconds, then if it is cleansed it ends or if the time ends it becomes a dull totem. However in its current form, maybe taking away the hook requirement would make it better.

Backstab is supposed to be a perk that gives the killer a feeling like the Obsession is working for you. They stab their savior in the back and make them Exposed. Admittedly, the Obsession change is a personal choice because I like that mechanic, but it would also allow for multiple uses and back it so you don't have to keep slugging the Obsession. I do see what you mean about a domino effect and it could lead the entire team to be slugged. Maybe slap on a cooldown of 60 seconds so it can't be abused.

You basically nailed it with Insanity. Its supposed to invoke a feeling of paranoia. "Is that a lit totem? Maybe its Ruin or Devour Hope or Haunted Grounds? I'll just check really quick then hop back on this generator. Oh crap, no I can't. Darn you Insanity!" It definitely isn't a perk you want to run with more than one other hex if you want to get good use out of it.

  • @humanbeing1704 said:

So would blackout in a way just be third seal but oblivious?

I see it more as a mid-game perk as opposed to third seal which is early game. However, you are right, maybe it should just happen to all survivors regardless of how many hooks.

4 identical Dwights moving slowly towards me not doing one gen and i cant for the life of me hide from them I know you know what im talking about.... killers have no defense against A hitman dwight raptor squad

"They move in herds...they do move in herds..."

  • Not gonna lie, I thought that said "Bacon of Hope" and I was like where is this going...

  • Jeff seems like cool dude. We'd probably hang.

  • If I was killer in those matches, I would have let you go until I got the other person. Dead by Daylight is no place for cowards and betrayers when I'm killer.

  • I'd like to see something done with crows. They are an often overlooked feature in the game and need more presence to be reliable for tracking.

  • Any perk combo is viable, just have fun.

  • I think you played very well. I don't see it as a problem, but I can see what you mean. This is coming from someone who primarily plays killer.

  • I do agree that 99% exit gates can be frustrating, but I don't think using No Way Out or any perk should be the answer.

  • *click**click* Has anyone tried a flashlight?

  • I think he's fine, but if I were to change something...

Make him take a couple seconds while in ADS to fire, but get ride of or reduce speed reduction while in ADS.

Lol imagine using BBQ and seeing the lil glowing red gnats at the furthest end of the map!

Ha, on that note, imagine running across 4 realms to save a hooked teammate just to have them die on first hook cuz you couldn’t get there fast enough!

    Seriously though, fun thought experiment!

Survivors would have 3 more hook stages to go through, so I think you could do a 5 map traveral and still be there to unhook at at least stage 3 or 4. Lol

So is Haddonfield the top layer, with Raccoon City surrounding it, and you can enter a school where Midwich is. But underground there's Hawkins and Gideon?

Either that or Haddonfield is the top layer and instead of a basement, going down the stairs leads to the library of RPD, the the basement of RPD leads to one of the stairwells of Silent Hill, and so on.

  • @Marc_go_solo said:

Holy cow, you are an evil sonofagun!!

Of course, this is a thought experiment, but you may have stepped on something unique: How about a variety of maps which are the same size as normal, same gens amd such BUT .. have the map take elements from other maps. For example: Rotten fields, but with the Pale Rose at its centre, and towards one side a part of Lery's institution, where there are no ceilings, but segments of the rooms, perhaps with corn growing througj.

That lack of familiarity and discordance may actually be an idea!

I like how you think, it would definitely introduce more variation in games if new tiles where added on maps that aren't supposed to have those tiles. Imagine Hawkins, but there is a cornfield in the middle of the map.

  • I'm imagining them all stacked on top of each other like...

    Haddonfield

    Raccoon City

    Silent Hill

    Hawkins

    Gideon

That seems to make the most sense in this nonsensical scenario.

  • @Phasmamain said:

50 hag traps? Sounds like fun trying to save against that!

I'm just imagining, survivors clear 4 maps without seeing the killer once. Then, they make it to the last map and then, BOOM! Hags everywhere! Left and right! All over the place!

  • I haven't heard anything, but yeah hopefully they change it so you just have to contaminate a certain number of survivors.

  • @DelsKibara said:

All I'm imagining is a horde of zombies that Nemesis controls so they could all patrol the 5 maps.

    Mwahahaha!

  • Monsterous Shrine has 4 tokens. Hook progression is increased by 5/10/15% as long as you are 32 meters away from the hooked survivor.

Could be too OP, but I've always wanted a perk like this.

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

This would be really bad and frustrating.

I dont want to go down to a Killer just because they got a Haste-effect out of nowhere. Or getting hit by a Killer because they are Undetectable without any notification before (e.g. if the Killer has Tinkerer, I mostly know when they will be Undetectable, but if it just happens...eh).

Same as Survivor, if I play Killer, I dont want to hit a Survivor just to see that they got Endurance. And I dont want to go down as Survivor instantly, just because I get exposed.

I dont have that much problem with RNG, but this would be way too much RNG.

Oh yeah definitely it would be unfair. That's why its just a thought experiment and not an actual suggestion. Just imagining a game like that, it would be chaotic.

  • How about you learn how to navigate it? It's a new map, you won't learn how to play on it if you don't play on it.

  • @LiunUK said:

well looking at it in game I'm guessing they based it of a field with high chalk or limestone levels in the soil most plants cannot grow or produce a large yields on such land except for beet's, cabbages and of course corn.

seeing as Coldwind is in Texas I'm guessing that it is probably around Austin's border which has a very high chalk soil level

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/D23C4QZ60EWN/image.png

and I doubt the hillbilly tends to his fields and waters them regularly so they are very dead and because corn tends to dry out the soil when left too long without water the fields are going to be very bright and dry as a result.

though interesting fact depending on what stage the kernels are in they can last a long time at 15% moisture content which most farmers will do before harvest.

    The more you know.

  • @CheeseAnton said:

Head On is now an F-Tier Perk

I imagine you could still use it, you just use it when coming out of the locker you appear in, but yeah I get what you mean.

  • @Mooks said:

Wraith‘ would just be invisible (same shimmering effect as Wraith) and run around, making Wraith noises.

Hillbilly has some pigs running around. Doing nothing. I want pigs running around the map though.

Nurse gets her patients, running around trying to grab and strangle survivors, who can struggle free without taking damage

Doctors Hallucinations now are AI based and you won’t know if Hallucination or real Doctor until they hit you (no damage from the AI)

I imagine anything Wraith based would be full of jump scares.

Pigs would be fun. I imagine that would just be path blocker and just aimlessly wander around.

Nurse's patients would give me anxiety if I saw one walking towards me.

Honestly don't know why Doctor's Hallucinations don't already do that, it sounds cool.

  • @Warcrafter4 said:

Disclaimer before people complain: This is purely a "What if we were forced to Add X to Y" so please don't complain about wraith in this.

Wraith would have ghosts that have the same invisibility/ shimmer rules as the wraith.

When a survivor gets close enough to them they will reveal themselves by uncloaking with a mentalic crushing sound then try to grab and cling to the survivor.

They move as fast as survivors but can lunge like the killer but at half Duration. They fade away 15 seconds after decloaking or miss two lunges.

The survivors whom the ghosts are clinging to will both scream and be hindered for 30 seconds until the ghost fades away. Other survivors can pull the ghost away to cleanse the hindered status.

Ghosts that fade away/pulled off will respawn else where and all ghosts are mostly immobile(Can move slightly but only at half crawling speed) until survivors get close.

Ghosts randomly teleport every 30 seconds unless the killer or a survivor is nearby. They spawn near generators/killer/Mainbuilding but can't re spawn within aggro range of a survivors.

I mean...yeah, that's what this thread is supposed to be. A fun "What if?", discounting balance and throwing all logic out. I already put a disclaimer in the OP. Have fun and embrace the chaos.

As for what Wraith's AI helpers would do, that sounds like it would be a lot of fun and cause quite a few jump scares.

I’d love it if there was a second ai ghostface, like in the films

I'd imagine it would just mark survivors. You could stop it from marking you by looking at it like the actual killer, but you could be wrong in thinking it's an AI and the killer is just coming toward you.

  • Wonder if there is any art of Danny "booping the snoot"? I mean that in a completely non sexual way, more of a cute little couple thing.

  • I would recommend placing portals at different sides of the map. It will allow for a great deal of traversal throughout the game.

You have no idea how hard it was to think of all of those so late st night. My favorite ones are Fraddy, Legion, and Trickster.

    Nemisis/Furtive Chase

    Franklin's Demise/Hoarder

    Iron Grap/Aggitation

1 … 7 8 9 10 11 … 13
