A chaotic thought experiment...
Disclaimer: I don't think this should be in the game. This is just for fun and shouldn't be taken seriously. Don't let the limitations of the game hinder your creativity and embrace the chaos.
How would a game go if 5 to 6 maps were combined together? Specifically...
-The 5 Macmillan
-The 5 Autohaven
-The 5 Coldwind
-The 2 Crotus Prenn, 2 Backwater Swamp, and 1 Léry's Memorial
-The 5 Springwood and 1 Ormund
-The 2 Red Forest, 2 Yamaoka, and 1 Grave of Glenvale
-The 1 Haddonfield, 1 Gideon Meat Plant, 1 Hawkins National Laboratory, 1 Silent Hill, and 1 Raccon City.
... Survivors would need to complete 5x more generators and Killers would need to hook each survivor 3 more times in order to win. Some killer powers would be magnified like the amount of Trapper traps, Nemisis zombies, etc.
This is a really absurd idea and I hope it never comes into the game, but it's fun to think about.

All I'm imagining is a horde of zombies that Nemesis controls so they could all patrol the 5 maps.
Mwahahaha!
50 hag traps? Sounds like fun trying to save against that!
I'm just imagining, survivors clear 4 maps without seeing the killer once. Then, they make it to the last map and then, BOOM! Hags everywhere! Left and right! All over the place!
If I remember correctly, the Beta of DbD was basically all 5 McMillan maps combined. They had all the main buildings in one map.
Lol imagine using BBQ and seeing the lil glowing red gnats at the furthest end of the map!
Ha, on that note, imagine running across 4 realms to save a hooked teammate just to have them die on first hook cuz you couldn’t get there fast enough!
Seriously though, fun thought experiment!
That last combination scares me
Holy cow, you are an evil sonofagun!!
Of course, this is a thought experiment, but you may have stepped on something unique: How about a variety of maps which are the same size as normal, same gens amd such BUT .. have the map take elements from other maps. For example: Rotten fields, but with the Pale Rose at its centre, and towards one side a part of Lery's institution, where there are no ceilings, but segments of the rooms, perhaps with corn growing througj.
That lack of familiarity and discordance may actually be an idea!
I'm imagining them all stacked on top of each other like...
Haddonfield
Raccoon City
Silent Hill
Hawkins
Gideon
That seems to make the most sense in this nonsensical scenario.
So is Haddonfield the top layer, with Raccoon City surrounding it, and you can enter a school where Midwich is. But underground there's Hawkins and Gideon?
I like how you think, it would definitely introduce more variation in games if new tiles where added on maps that aren't supposed to have those tiles. Imagine Hawkins, but there is a cornfield in the middle of the map.
Either that or Haddonfield is the top layer and instead of a basement, going down the stairs leads to the library of RPD, the the basement of RPD leads to one of the stairwells of Silent Hill, and so on.
Survivors would have 3 more hook stages to go through, so I think you could do a 5 map traveral and still be there to unhook at at least stage 3 or 4. Lol
What would be interesting would be mixing Hawkins with Midwich. The people behind "Stranger Things" said themselves that "Silent Hill" was a big influence on the show. Having Hawkins flicker between the lab, then taken over by the Upside Down, and then morphing into the bloody Otherworld, and back again. How diorientating would that be!
