That would be pretty neat to have a non-horror character added from another game. Well I say horror very tightly but still very cool. Only problem would be licensing and how he would work.
I agree. I'm not holding my breath for it to happen. The idea alone is enough to get creative thoughts turning. What would his power be? What kind of Perks would he have? Would his terror radius theme be similar to his League theme? Stuff like that.
-
Blighted Cosmetics for more licenced characters. Imagine Blighted Myers or Pyramid Head.
-
I main Legion and I don't think he needs any movement speed add ons in his current state. Maybe vaulting speed add ons? Although they already vault so fast it probably wouldn't do much.

They should just buff deathslingers teachables in general if you ask me he has the worst teachables set in the game
Huntress would like to have a word with you.

Yes and it is needed. Survivors being able to hold forward for 30 seconds without the killer catching up is dumb.
I think you skipped over the math.

I definitely would like to see more Hex Perks that ignite under specific conditions, but I think those perks are fine as they are.

The sarcasm is really thick here.

Hangman's Trick? Though that seems more mechanical in nature, not so much supernatural.
Yeah, I mean there is only one Scourge Hook perk, so there isn't an established trend on what a perk needs to do to classify as one.
-
@Purgatorian said:
I was going to say monstrous too just to make it that little bit more worthwhile to use.
What if sabotaged hooks had a chance to be replaced with scourge hooks. Risk/reward for the survivor.
There would have to be another effect to go along with that.
-
I could imagine reworking Monsterous Shine into a Scourge Hook perk.

I mean it might still be possible the contract dosent end until november
Odds are not likely
I don't imagine we'll be getting any new Stranger Things cosmetics. Yeah, it end in November, but with the sale going on until then, it wouldn't make much sense to release a new skin in that window of time.

A side question: When do the sales take effect in-game? I launched it an hour ago and not only are there no sales on any Stranger Things content, there's no in-game announcement of it either (there's also no notice about this on this forum's news page, where I think it would be worth making the comment). Anyway my point is that while I guess I need to re-read the release, I thought that the sales were effective immediately.
The sale begins August 18th.

The whole flower-mouth thing was a perfect fit for a blighted skin.
Oh, the potential things we’ll never see now…
That said, although extremely unlikely, I’m curious what Nemesis would be like, blighted. Oni and Slinger too.
I imagine Oni and Slinger are getting Blighted skins for the the next event.

Yeah, they definitely have an NDA agreement. I'd be surprised if they didn't.

If Demo loses his TR... Now that will be sad.
He's like the whole reason all killers released after him got their own TR's.
I know that would suck. I mean... all the lobby music is based on the DBD theme so it does give us hope for it staying.
Although if both pieces were made in partnership with Netflix, that makes it a tougher call.

If we only lose the maps, hopefully the Resident Evil license runs out tomorrow.
Go be negative somewhere else.

I'm upset I'll never see a Blighted Demogorgon skin.

Personally, I feel Solo Q is where you learn to harden up. You can play more selfishly and that can add something in a game. If I'm by myself, I'll help you if I can, but I'm looking out for myself first and foremost.
-
In terms of flooded maps, I don't think that could work effectively with the amount of elevation in some maps, plus the maps that are two floors.
If you had a killer that went under the ground and traversed in that way (kind of like demo, but free movement) I could see that working better. It would still have its issues, but I'm sure there is some work around.

That would ruin the joke. If you don't trust it, that's fine. It's the killer rabbit from Monty Python's The Holy Grail.

Even Pig’s ambush attack?
No, that's in a weird place where it's technically a special attack. My only guess as to why is because it's a transitional attack between crouched state and normal. Could also be because of the extended lunge. You'll learn eventually what is and isn't considered a special attack, but it is confusing admittedly.
-
Okay, if you're new to survivor you'll be going against new killers. People who either don't understand what they are supposed to be doing or don't care enough to bother.
Just get through some more games and you'll start encountering more experienced killer. It might take a while, but you'll find the challenge you're looking for eventually.
-
If you hit the survivor with your M1/RT that counts towards it.

Definitely not bait. I would be on a gen killer shows up kicks it and goes the opposite direction. At one point I stood right next to him as he kicked the gen and then just left.
I personally find sitting on gens boring I would prefer to be chased. Its just weird like I've ran in to killers like this before but not like 4 out of 8 games in one day.
Are you new or a long time player?
-
I don't understand the question. Need more information to give a proper response. Otherwise sounds like a bait post.

My advice if the grind isn't satisfying, get the cheap stuff and think about how fast you can bring the entity to start chomping at the blood web. Unless you don't care about prestigeing, nothing really matters until you get to tier 3. Don't really sweat too much on having a specific perk on a specific killer, enjoy the game now and try to find Perks that might make for interesting games.

But why would anyone with a right mind want this to be permanent? Its only purpose is literally being a bandaid and nothing more. People have been pointing out flaws about the pipping/rank system for years. And the devs failed to address it time and time again so the next best solution they can think of is hiding it so nobody can see it? That's supposed to be a solution? I guess the standards of this community really has plummeted.
Okay, let's imagine a game where you completely stomp all the survivors and afterward you see they were all Brown ranks.
Now, imagine another game where you stomp them and they are a mix of green and purple.
Finally, the last game you play, you do terrible and everyone escapes. You look and it's a mix of yellow and green.
What information would you have missed other than how long someone has played?

Not really, it's just a way to bank BP for later. The max amount of BP you can have collected is 1 million, so not collecting is a good way to technically have more than 1 million.

I've always wanted a perk like this, however one downside to it would be that other survivors would probably be incentivised to just leave you to die.

My mind goes to a Pharoah/Mummy killer when reading this
That would be cool, I still think that this could be too situational. Maybe its just part of a power and not by itself.

My dream chapter would have two killers released and those would be excellent powers for them.

I think I got 7 Ill try and get more, thanks for the advice
No problem. Trust me though, Piping isn't everything. Especially if you are going to be maining Nurse, you will have rough matches.
Keep your chin up, and if you get frustrated, cool off by playing survivor. If that still makes you heated, take a break and relax.
Do your best. ✌
-
How many hooks did you get? Usually you want to try to go for 10 to 12 hooks in order to get any progress. Camping a hook or tunneling usually won't help you much if you care about piping. Also, bring Survivor pudding. It will allow you to get 100% more progress in killer categories.
-
Off the top of my head I would say make Tricksters knives ricochet base. That would allow him to feel more unique.

I think that’s probably a stretch. Killers still run pop with ruin
@TheClownIsKing said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2418536#Comment_2418536
But that already happened with Pop & Ruin. Pop already now cannot be used with Ruin. Pop can just be “back up” if Ruin is cleansed. Why can’t a system be in place to make Tinkerer the same?
You're using a fundamental quirk in one perk combo to justify nerfing killers entirely? The reason you can't use Pop while Ruin is active is because you can't kick a regressing generator. Ruin makes generators regress while not being worked on. Even if you don't have Ruin equip or it's been cleansed and you go up to a regressing generator you can't kick it, even if you have Pop.
Tinkerer activates when a generator reaches 70% completion. It's that simple. Not much you can do to counter it besides power through it. Have someone distract the killer and finish it. If they get hooked or die, it was a noble sacrifice.
My point is that it seems like flawed logic to think that a perk like Tinkerer should in any way be influenced by hexes, let alone Ruin.
-
Praise be to the rear!
-
Also, to add on to the conversation, Lullabies can't be shrunken by any perk or add-on. That way you don't have a Huntress with an Iridescent Head right on top of you and you never even noticed because she was undetectable.
-
The main problem is finding a unique and balanced way it affects gameplay. I'm all for the idea, especially being a pyromaniac myself, and I like the idea, but it could use a couple more drafts.
