There'd be no difference for Freddy.
Not true, you'd be going against fake pallets. Also, you'd be asleep for the majority of the trial.

As far as the wiki states, Vanity Mirror reduces the movespeed of Myers by 7%. Nothing mentioned about it only working when in EW2.
Judith on the wiki also states a 9% penalty.
Consider that the standard BK Myers build is Vanity + Judith with the caveat that you can't stalk and the point of the build is that you move slower than survivors. I don't see why you think Vanity doesn't effect EW1 movespeed.
The only thing I can think of as different for standard BK Myers is that he'll have a lunge, but that's about it.

Frig me sideways dude, I would love to try this with my Wraith build. The thought of this with a Midwich or The Game offering makes me salivate.
By default I run Distressing, Coulrophobia, Nurses and Sloppy+ purple movespeed/the beast soot but if I could also have purple pallet break, all seeing, green disappearance time, purple reappearance time and Silent Bell I don't think any amount of item addons will be able to penetrate a 3 gen
I feel like the killers that have a lot of stat boost add-ons would get the most value, such as Legion, Wraith, Oni, Pyramid Head, and Ghost Face.
Going against Doctor would be...confusing. I guess Iridescent King already applies all the madness debuffs, but his terror radius is going to be all over the place and and his shock attack is going to be a donut like 30 meters in front of him.
Huntress would for the most part just be a double Iridescent add-on Huntress. Not going to get much value when she's working with only one hatchet and a speed buff without said hatchet.
Freddy is going to be a pallet Freddy on steroids I'll bet. Survivor's will have to be careful to keep track of pallets at all times and make sure they are getting gens done quickly.

With things like this, questions start to come up.
Like how would Coxcombed Clapper + Bone Clapper work?
Right now when you use both, one takes priority.
But this is about having everything active, so i guess you could say instead of "widespread" or "silenced", it's now "widespread silence", but Coxcombed Clapper is that anyway.
He'd also have "The Beast" - Soot so, unavoidably, Terror Radius Perks actually work on him, but R.I.P. cloaked stealth.
Sloppy Butcher / "Blind Warrior" - White is made obsolete by "Blind Warrior" - White / Sloppy Butcher.
Hex: The Third Seal has a nice back-up in the form of "Blind Warrior" - Mud i guess.
I don't like Play With Your Food taking up a slot, but if it's on by standard then HELLO EASY TOKENS!
Pallets would also be DOOMED on this guy, you'd absolutely want to eat the stun (Enduring + Spirit Fury), quickly recloak ("Blink" - White + "Blink" - Mud), kick it after the drop ("Shadow Dance" - Blood + "Shadow Dance" - White + Brutal Strength + Fire Up) and WHOOSH forward. ("The Serpent" - Soot)
And you'd have Nemesis + Play With Your Food, so cloaking after the drop grants you a free Token.
Look idk how powerful Survivors would be, mkay? I'm just looking from my ringing man's perspective right now.
That's fine. I'm looking for all perspectives and just trying to have some fun.
-
Well, it's been having issues since it came out, however people complained that it wasn't in rotation when they took it out. However, if they made it as common as other maps and have offerings intentionally bring people to said map, people would complain that it causes issues like this. This is just an unhappy medium where they can monitor its performance and figure out the issues.
-
I'd like the ability to go up to Victor and recall him then and there. Have him crawl back into the body cavity or something.

God i wish i could stay there. On my alt its green, i can literally go the entire game not hooking a single person and still get brutal. Its just to easy at that level to pip up for me. If i could stay in purple/green i would. Someday youll say the same. Survivors do the dumbest ######### at that level
I've already got 1278 hours logged and as survivor I only solo. Only recently I've started playing with friends and they are only just starting out. As Killer I'm definitely not the best, I can go entire games without hooking people, but I make do.
-
I'd been playing Trickster in order to use the rest of my cakes on him before prestigeing and I have got to say between the random console lag spikes, my own terrible aim, and trying to use his power on bad loops, I'd have to politely disagree, but understand what you mean.
-
It is a perk of it's time. Back when the game first came out it had its purpose, but over the years it's become irrelevant. I don't think anything should be removed from the game, but this definitely could use a rework.
-
I've only played on it as survivor, but I've played on it 3 times. I'm starting to figure it out slowly, although I haven't found the library yet.
-
It think it's fine, however if I were to change it, I'd give it another condition for activation or deactivation. Maybe, it doesn't work in lockers or it's only active for 300 seconds total. I don't know, I'm not in charge of game balance. Would be interesting to see it tested though.
-
Yeah, I feel you. Being exhausted over seeing everyone worked up over the same thing that doesn't affect you much can be frustrating. I usually just step back, play a single player game for a bit, maybe for a couple days even, then when I feel better get back to it. If that feeling doesn't pass, maybe it's time to move onto something else. That's just me though.

@MadLordJack said:
Yeah, that map was not designed for DbD. It's just an enormous maze and any time you point that out some RE megafan that's etched the layout into their brain from dozens, if not hundreds of hours spent on it tells you that "it's all fine, the map is perfect."
RCPD really does exemplify why you can't lift maps from one game and drop them in another.
I disagree. RPD feels like a new kind of map. One in which cat and mouse gameplay is explored much more. Hearing the heartbeat, not knowing if the killer is around the corner or on the floor above you gives the game scares it's been lacking for a while.
-
That's fine. You can use any build you want. The only thing that matters is to have fun. I use a fun build I call Rancor Roulette. It consists of Rancor, Nemisis, Furtive Chase, and Make Your Choice. It's probably best on mobility killers so I'd suggest trying it out on Blight.
-
3 games isn't that big of a sample size. I'd suggest getting more in before a proper conclusion can be made.
-
That's just how randomness works sometimes. If you're tired of playing on a map, I'd suggest bringing an offering.
-
He's definitely someone people want in the game.
-
They definitely bring some spontaneity to any given match.
-
It's a product of it's time. It was an extremely powerful ability when it was introduced and along with his add-ons it made sense to have a limited amount of tier III. However, it is badly in need of some touch ups.
-
Probably the events doing. More people are playing the original killers to get crowns.
-
If you complain it means you care. Caring means that the thing you complain about is important to you. Once people stop complaining and move onto something different like a new game or anything else. That's what its trying to say.
-
A couple problems with this idea.
1. Ninjas are Japanese and Trickster is Korean. Not the biggest problem, but still I know that BHVR want the characters to stay "true" whatever tha means.
2. No Legendary skin has changed the "equipment" skin of any killer. What I mean is that Trapper's bear traps don't have any alternative looks, Wraiths bell, Billy and Bubba's chainsaws, etc.
Not that it wouldn't be cool, I just don't see them introducing anything like that any time soon.
-
@Boss said:
Well the synergy is definitely there.
But i can't say the outcome was satisfying, which is too bad cause i thought i might actually put the laughable Furtive Chase to use.
Due to me having Barbecue & Chili on, the aura reveal of Nemesis isn't all that good.
Oblivious is a bit better when in loops, but i'm still Wraith so i can miss that minor advantage.
And the Terror Radius reduction is, like i said, already laughable, but on Wraith it's bing-bongable! (God someone silence me before i make another joke like that.)
I can reckon it's fun when doing that Obsession challenge, and probably has more uses on Killers that can't help their Terror Radius.
But this just ain't for me.
That's fine. Like I said, it's more for the meme, plus you need more off meta support for it. BBQ just doesn't really fit will with what it's supposed to be for.
If you ever use it again, I'd recommend Legion, Oni, Demo, or Blight. Haven't used it on all of them, but those are probably the best users of that combo.
-
Not that I know. Sorry man.
-
I mean, they aren't very different masks to begin with, I didn't even really see the point in the two crowns for Legion last year.

Cool cool, i've been wondering this all day today, many thanks!
So anyway: Funny build, but what's MYC's importance here?
WHICH is what i wanted to ask, but i think i just realized myself: It's to make them change Obsessions more frequently, isn't it?
Fantastic! ๐๐๏ธ
Exactly, quick downs, mean quick Obsession change. And if your Obsession dies or DC's, just get stunned by a pallet.
-
@Boss said:
Oh, you're talking about it too!
So i have a question for you: When a Survivor unhooks the Obsession and they become the Obsession because of Furtive Chase, does nemesis trigger on that, making them Oblivious and show you their Aura?
Yes, it's awesome and that's why those two Perks pair so well together. The reduced terror radius after each hook isn't really much of a factor, as Oblivious helps you sneak up much better, but it can help against other survivors.
-
Honestly yeah. Playing nice and not tunneling/slugging/camping would get killers more bloodpoints. That's how I play. However, if someone does want to play like that, they already have it in their minds as to how they are going to play and aren't going to be convinced otherwise. Sometimes garbage people are just garbage people.
-
I feel like Legion could use a smoother transition for their Feral Frenzy to base. Make it a bit more interesting and reward players for chaining hits. Not enough to make it ove powered, but enough to make me want to use the power more often.
Trickster really needs to lean into the ricocheting knives. That would make his power more unique and worth playing. If not that, make it so instead of going all machine gun killy while in Main Event, make them ricochet.
-
Honestly, I've mained Legion for a while now and I can say that some games you just don't need FF. Sure, it's good for map traveral and you can injure very quickly, but if you get tunnel vision or you are already chasing an injured survivor, there isn't much need to use your power.
-
I'd like to see a prison, maybe in the same realm as Dead Dawg.

I'm playing on Xbox and it's nowhere near unplayable. It's a little more laggy then before but still runs fine and I haven't crashed once.
I agree, it's not entirely unplayable. Lag is annoying, but nowhere near enough to make me quit. I didn't crash 2 times before the hotfix though.
-
No, both sides were just really stubborn on their respective goals. Personally, if I were the Obsession I would have just taken the L and moved on, it's not a big deal.
-
I loaded up a normal game as I usually do on Xbox. Nemisis on Midwich Elementary School, I thought, "Alright this is going to be a fun game." My build was Tier 2 Lethal Pursuer, STBFL, Corrupt Intervention, and BBQ.
Saw the first survivor and downed them pretty quick aaaaaaaand....DC. I thought "Alright disappointing, but I still got 3 others to play against." I find my obsession whip her once, twice, three times to save my stacks aaaaaaaaand.....DC.
At that point I felt really bad for the other two and knew this would be a cake walk if I kept playing normally. Soooooo, after I hooked each of them once (gotta get those BBQ stacks) I let them heal, repair gens, protected them from zombies, contaminated them if they got any vaccines, and let them escape.
Afterward, one of them that happened to be on console as well messaged me saying thanks and that they appreciated letting them live. Honestly, if I don't feel like I've earned a victory, I don't have much fun and it's nice being nice every once in a while as killer.
-
Cruel Limits is a tough perk to get a lot of use out of given the limited amount of windows that are near generators, however theoretically the notification you receive from Tinkerer should give you enough time to get over and get some use.
-
Oh definitely it will be a problem. Am I worried about it? Not really.
-
I mean...they just grunt and scream. Not much of a paycheck. Plus, they paid for the likeness of the characters and there would be extra costs to pay they voice actors.
-
Imo Insidious is a perk from early era DBD that is in need of some love. It definitely doesn't find much use outside of meme builds.
-
They haven't given an official time when it will be reenabled. They want to make sure that whatever issue was causing people to crash is fixed before doing that. Based on the Hotfix coming out tomorrow it's possible that's when it will come out, however it might not. We'll all just have to be patient.

Imagine double killer speed with bloodlust and max PWYF stacks.
I'm just imagining that the walking/running animation don't speed up along with the movement so you have survivors and killers ice skating everywhere.

Survivors move at 4 meters per second (i think). Double is 8. 150% of 8 is 12 (I think). 150% of 4 is 6. So youre still moving WAY faster at 150% of double the normal speed.
For context spirit phases at 7 meters per second roughly
I know that, I'm just thinking it would be funnier if they took your speed down, because in the description of Perks like Sprint Burst and Lithe is says specifically you go at 150% speed.
-
@Edgars_Raven said:
The game would crash cause it would never be able to handle exhaustion perks ๐
I'd like to imagine you would slow down to 150% from 200% because technically, I didn't say that movement speed Perks would be doubled.
-
Pretty sure that's just with blindness in general.
-
The problem with this is that a lot of killers have powers that would be cool to have alternative looks for their equipment/powers/plus-ones. However, there are killers that don't have that sort of thing such as Nurse, Shape, Hag(possibly), Ghostface, and Legion.
-
I would recommend running Lightborn for a bit and just listening for the sound and try to understand the timing.
-
Interesting, makes sense.

Youre right, i forgot about distortion, theyd burn through those tokens pretty fast though wouldnt they? 9 secs is a long time. Its been awhile but i thought if there was something up like nurses calling it burns through the tokens pretty quick?
Yeah, they would burn through quick, but Distortion lasts for 10 seconds and has 3 tokens so Lethal Persuer still comes up short and your left with two tokens.
-
@Edgars_Raven said:
Lethal purserer + corrupt against no mither squad and all the hex perks might end this early come to think of it.
No way, survivors would have Distortion, so Lethal Pursuer is a none issue. I would be more worried about Whispers at that point.
-
@Laluzi said:
The sheer cruelty of having a full No Mither squad and a whole host of healing perks is staggering. Oof. Botany Knowledge, Self-Care, Second Wind, For the People, Solidarity, Inner Strength, Resurgence, Pharmacy, Autodidact, Blood Pact, and Bite the Bullet are all worthless. Same with every Exhaustion perk with only Sprint Burst and Head On usable thanks to overrunning conditions. I guess Smash Hit would be possible if you pallet camped...
Survivors would have a great info game, though! Empathy would end up being a permanent view on the team, Open Handed buffs every aura perk around, and totems would pretty much get melted between the three totem finder perks. Survivors also have a godly chance of jumping off the first hook between Slippery Meat + Up the Ante and Deliverance.
I think in this mode, survivors would not work on gens at the start of the match. The killer sees their starting locations, Corrupt Intervention is active, and Devour Hope is out there somewhere. DH 3 stacks isn't dangerous against a No Mither squad, but hex totems gotta go before moris become a thing, and getting Ruin/Undying/Crowd Control/Lullaby/Third Seal out of the way is important too. Third Seal is actually quite good, because survivors have an incredible aura game otherwise. Nobody cares about Haunted Grounds.
Everyone hard counters Stridor between Iron Will and No Mither. It's gonna be a dead silent game unless you're Plague or Nemesis. Spirits weep.
Nobody has any fecking idea what the yellow gen means.
Slugging is completely impossible. Every survivor has No Mither + Unbreakable + Soul Guard for fast self-pickups that grant Endurance, Tenacity to heal on the go, Flip Flop to wiggle off if you delay picking them up for any reason, and Power Struggle to bonk you with a pallet if you're foolish enough to let them reach one.
Killers would have some conflicting perks (Distressing + Monitor and Abuse), but nothing to the same extent as survivors; there aren't many self-harmful killer perks. Maybe Predator and Distressing, but that's it. ToTH would be nice but ultimately get slaughtered by Counterforce.
The sheer number of things that would happen when a killer kicks a gen would be kind of ridiculous (though ruin/undying has to be cleansed first and surge can't have triggered it.) Loses 25% progress, 3 other gens start regressing, gets marked with Eruption, Dragon's Grip (except everyone's already No Mithered), and Overcharge, and the killer becomes Undetectable until it's touched.
You did a pretty good break down how both sides of the game would go. This has become such a fun thing to talk about and speculate. I feel like killer could counter Counterforce if they did slug at the beginning. With Third Seal in affect, it would be a definite priority to make sure it's as hard to find your totems as possible. Might as well suck it up and slug a bit and use Infectious Fright to help find other survivors.
As for Sprint Burst and Head On, even those will be difficult to use with Mindbreaker and Blood Echos. Speaking of hooking a survivor, Make Your Choice is a none issue, but the combo of Nemisis and Furtive Chase will make it so you're going to need to be on alert and run. Although Babysitter already shows your aura as well.
With Brutal Strength and Fire Up, kicking gens will be progressively easier as the game goes on and you be back to chasing in no time.
