Is this holding the game hostage?

So my 4 man was playing and the obsession told us rancor was in play. Well we got to the end of the match and the nemesis downed the obsession and just stood over him. Knowing rancor was in play we didn't pop the last gen. Well everytime wed get him up the killer would tunnel him and down him again and wait. So we kept getting him up and each bodyblocked to make him lose the obsession then we did the last gen and escaped. This was a lengthy process and the killer was obviously upset saying we were "holding the game hostage". We didn't pop the gen though because we didn't want the obsession to be instantly morid. And it only took like 5 minutes. I do want a ruling on this just incase it is actually though my bad if so. Thanks!

  • Killers objective is to kill. Survivors objective is to repair gens and escape. Who do you think was holding the game hostage? It's not really a big deal, though, since the killer wasn't prevented from doing their objective.

  • I wouldn't say so, especially because the killer stood over the obsession without even attempting to pressure other people which was totally possible and would lead the game to an end faster. If they wanted to get rancor so bad it should really be their problem

  • Not really.

Holding the game hostage would be something more like hiding the entire match forcing the killer to play hide and seek, or the killer bodyblocking a survivor forcing them to DC.

This was just the survivors being heavily altruistic and the killer being too obsessed on killing a single survivor.

    So yeah, dont worry.

  • No, both sides were just really stubborn on their respective goals. Personally, if I were the Obsession I would have just taken the L and moved on, it's not a big deal.
