dont forget about distortion (removes your aura from killer lose a token, that perk although its gonna run out VERY quickly.) and object of Obsession. omg, the obsession would be so terrified at all times.

Although you would immediately lose a token on distortion because of Lethal Persuer, so you don't have a lot of wiggle room on that front.

You def could never slug. No mither + unbreakable + soul guard + tenacity woukd be in play. Youd need to be on that slug like slime

Agreed, another problem is that a lot of perks will become useless. Any healing Perks are out the window because you'll always be broken. That also cancels out Forced Penance and even Starstruck.

  • @Soulpaw said:

killer would lose hands down. every second chance perk all at once, pressing E to outplay will trigger so many things, sprint burst would be the only exhausted perk that would be used interestingly enough, slugging impossible, cant tunnel either and gens are gonna fly.

As another guy pointed out survivors would have No Mither to deal with for the entire game. That would make things a bit harder.

  • @Mooks said:

It kinda depends.. do they have to use all perks at once or can they just equip any that they want?

because if they have to use all at once, No Mither will screw survivors hard. I am not aware of a killer perk that is actually negatively impacting the killer side?

also. Holy Hex totems. There might not be enough totem spots for all of them.

All of the perk are active. From A Nurse's Calling to Zanshin Tactics. Same for survivors. As for totems, let's just assume the stack on top of each other so there can still be five to cleanse.

  • I mean Hex: Blood Favor blocks pallets from being droped if you hit a survivor. That's something.

I understand it's grindy to get everything unlocked, but some people play dbd for a living & they don't have everything unlocked and not from lack of trying.

If you play it for a living then sure, unlock everything. All I'm saying is if you find it a chore to do then maybe think about it in another way or move onto something else. It's my view point at least.

  • Yeah, I've been getting a lot and I've seen others bring it up as well. It'll get fixed in a week or two with a hotfix I'm sure. Adding new content always screws with the code of the game, just have to be patient and wait for the bugs to get fixed.

  • I agree, however, no one is asking you to unlock everything on everyone. You can if you want, that's your choice, I certainly intend to do it one day, but it isn't mandatory.

  • I like to think of them as roaming traps. What you lack in control over them, they make up for in lethality. You can herd a survivor into one and get them infected/injured/downed and all outcomes are good. If a survivor is downed by one just by itself, that is their own fault and will learn from the experience, if not, tough.

I don't really understand the concept you're trying to imply, but it sounds like it might be a bit overpowered depending on what you mean.

I recently made a post about some ideas in the feedback/suggestions section of the forum:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/250135/legion-buff-changes-suggestion#latest

Basically, if the survivor is injured you can down them with Feral Frenzy. However, if they have the Deep Wound status effect, you can't down them with Feral Frenzy.

There is still no counterplay. You can just vault any pallet or go through any window and attack them, downing them. That's not balanced.

Nurse literally goes though walls, if you heal you can't be downed, if you dodge the attack Legion goes into the cooldown, if you outlast the FF Legion goes into a cooldown, if you stun the Legion they get knocked out of FF, there is your counter play. That's just stuff I thought of off the top of my head, there might be more.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

I completely disagree. The Legion would have no counterplay if they could vault everything you can vault, and then down you. That's not fair, nor skillful.

I'm thinking of it like this. You chase healthy "survivor A" in FF, you hit them and then a) cancel out of your power and try to down them while they have Deep Wound or b) Go after another survivor they see with killer instinct. Then, later the find that "survivor A" has mended, but hadn't healed themselves to full health and are then quickly downed. Maybe there are some other changes that need to be made in the numbers department and add-ons to take into consideration, but I don't see that as anymore overpowered than most other killers.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

Legion's power should never be able to down survivors. That was one of many issues with the initial release of Legion. Bringing that back would undo multiple years of work and changes.

I would say that most of the issues were with Deep Wound. It was once exclusively used by Legion, but not anymore and it's been reworked to a stable state.

  • Hey, anything's possible at this point. Big hurdles it would have to overcome are EA and the fact that BHVR have stated they don't want anymore nonhuman killers or future stuff. (I think that said that last part, not 100%)

  • @lagosta said:

    Legion needs a rework IMO.

I'm trying to think of an idea that isn't a complete overhaul of their power. I know a lot of people think it's useless, but it has potential. It's the best power to get perfect information on survivors locations and a great mobility option. Plus, it's the only power that allows you to vault pallets.

  • @GoodBoyKaru said:

So... The most overpowered chase mechanic in dbd? Better than even nurse?

    On a 115? Killer.

There are many things this is, and not is chief is one.

Nurse can go through walls and you still wouldn't be able to down a survivor with Deep Wound while in FF. Plus, what makes it more overpowered that say Deathslinger who can down you when you are injured or Deep Wounded.

  • @BeHasU said:

You need to have plunderers to see the aura of items. Even if the killer has franklins, the survivors won't see their dropped items

    Oh okay, never realized that.

Well damn, forgot Blindness existed for Survivors.

    My bad.

No problem, I know you hardly ever see it/ notice it when you are a survivor.

  • @Vulgun said:

No, you don't. Blindness completely covers the auras of anything.

    Barbecue, Franklin's, Murmurs, etc.

(Side note: Being blinded and somehow getting Barbecue (or a hook in general) would be a damn achievement.)

I'm not talking about flashlight blindness, I'm talking about the status effect that survivors get from something like Hex: The Third Seal or any number of killer add-ons.

  • Did they use any offerings? If not I calculated a 0.007% chance of that happening. Not impossible given the amount of people play and how much each individual play, but very unusual. Although, my math could be off.

  • Same, tunnel vision gets me every time. I don't use a lot of slow down Perks so my games go by real fast if I'm up against a SWF or just a particularly good looper.

  • Full Moon: The Entity has allowed the moon to aid in your hunt. If a survivor has been running for 60/45/30 seconds, their aura is revealed for 15 seconds. This perk then goes on cooldown for 30 seconds.

Lingering Hatred: The frustration of your prey slipping away makes your hatred grow for the others. If a survivor escapes from a chase, all other survivors receive the Oblivious status effect for 60 seconds and the Exposed status effect for 5/10/15 seconds.

Chilling Howls: Your screams of pain only terrify your prey more. Each time a survivor stuns you (pallet, locker, flashlight, etc.) this perk gains a token. For each token, all survivors receive a 5% generator repair speed reduction. This perk can have a maximum of 1/2/3 tokens. All tokens are depleted once a survivor is put into the dying state.

  • Legion can be underestimated a lot of times, however the biggest problem is getting that second hit. I've played Legion the most of all the killers, but I can't say that they are top tier. Certainly not bottom tier like a lot of people think, but not top tier.

  • Making it an exhaustion perk would be impractical. However, lowering the cooldown too much could cause unforseen problems, so it might need some testing.

  • My advice, take some time off. If you already have, take some more time. Taking an extended break from a game can be good if it is becoming frustrating or unfun. However, if you truly are done with the game. It's fine. You'll still have your memories and at least you tried something new.

  • Hex: Spasmotic Working sounds a bit OP. While it is an all or nothing Hex like most of them, giving these afflictions to healthy survivors wouldn't make sense. If they were applied when they become injured and you shuffled the order that they apply, that would be more fair.

Hex: Duplicate Curse is a good idea, but completely useless by itself. Even Hex: Thrill of the Hunt gives a bonus 10% bloodpoints and affects all totems, while this is just a wasted slot without another Hex.

Yeah, That was my major issue when writing. But technically he's a alien, so maybe?

I'm mean you never know. They said they wouldn't add a non-human killer, but the Demogorgan crawled his way through a portal into our hearts, anything is possible. Although, they do keep saying no more non-humans. Haha

  • The idea for a killer that can look like a survivor is always an ambitious and pleasing idea. However, it couldn't work with the game. It would be useless against SWF and even solo queue survivors would catch on eventually.

Introverted just sounds like Object of Obsession for the killer, but with an obsession swap mechanic and OoO is always annoying when a survivor runs it, so I don't see much use for it.

Flip a Switch sounds like a less powerful Surveillance. I don't see why I'd use this over Surveillance.

Hex: Isolating Presence is probably the best idea here, but could use a bit more refinement.

Don't mean to sound like a jerk, you probably thought really hard about this, I'm just offering a bit of a critique. Keep at it and have fun.

  • It's a nice thought, however I can think of one big reason why he would never be added to the game. He is a kid. In the development of the Stranger Things Chapter, the developers said they didn't want any of the characters that were children as survivors, because killing kids in the game would probably be a big no no. I imagine similar reasons might exist for not having a kid do the killing.

How long do the status effects from Hex Suffering last for?

Until the survivor is healed or the totem is broken.

With the power I was just thinking along the "stealthy Hunter" thing the Xenomorph has along with it's ability to climb on any surface.

For Hex: Nesting Grounds I could do something along the lines of it tries to attach a facehugger to a survivor, but they have to do skill checks to escape.

For Sense, it kinda auto activates. It was supposed to counteract the no terror radius in the Perfect Hunter power.

For Obey the Queen, I was running out of ideas and it was the best thing I had. Any suggestions?

    Thanks again for the input.

If you wanted Obey the Queen to be an obsession switching perk, I'd go for something like this.

Obey the Queen: You hear the call of your queen to feed the hive. You become obsessed with a survivor. When the obsession is healing another survivor, they become oblivious. After the injured survivor is healed, they become the obsession. You can only be obsessed with one survivor at a time.

That's just an idea off the top of my head. It can be whatever really as long as you think of something balanced and possible counter play.

  • The power is too similar to Wraith and I don't think the ability to climb any surface would make up for the reduced movement speed and would be hard to implement. I would go back to the drawing board on that.

Hex: Nesting Grounds is way too big of a punishment for a survivor making the mistake of cleansing a totem. Haunted Grounds exposes survivors, sure, but you still have to catch up to them and hit them. If it showed the aura and hindered the survivor that cleansed it for a limited time, then that would be an awesome trap totem.

Sense seems a bit too powerful. Give it a longer cooldown or change it the conditions in which it activates.

Obey the Queen is just Nemisis with a bit more stuff that breaks it. Go back to the drawing board for that one.

Overall, I have seen much worse ideas and you did well for your first time all things considered. Keep at it and have fun.

  • Sounds interesting, but without play testing I don't know how well it would play out.

  • It would be an interesting addition to the game. I don't see them implementing it however, because it would throw the balance of the game out of wack. Also, if survivors were to all get unique abilities, it would incentivize people to choose a certain survivors for their abilites over who they can relate toward or aesthetics.

  • I like the idea behind the killer, but I think it could use some tweaks. The infection idea has a lot of strengths behind it, so I think it would be better if it were a permanent debuff, but you get a limited number of them (Let's go with 2 for starters.) If you could infect a downed survivor, they would fail any skill check they get until they are healed to full health. If another survivor heals the injured survivor, they become infected (possibly unknowingly). Once the injured and infected survivor is healed, they become uninfected. You could probably add another ability so that the gameplay is more interesting and aren't just m1ing the rest of the time (personally I think a short range aoe attack would be fun, but that's just me.)

As for the perks, Mimic's Imperative, I think it would be better if it affected normal chests and only applied to injured survivors, but it might make it more niche. Hemophobia, I have no problems with it sounds fun. Hide in Plain Sight could use more work on it, get ride of the percents or change the effect entirely, Monitor and Abuse has basically the same effect.

Other than that, great work and I hope you come up with some more stuff.

  • It looks awesome. Great job.

  • I think it would be overpowered if facehuggers could hatch and then roam around the map. I think instead, if you put an egg down, it should have an inactivity time of around 15 to 30 seconds. At the end, it becomes armed, and if a survivor runs or walks by it, it activates and instantly attaches to them and lays an egg in 5 seconds. Then, they can go through the phases of the egg growing.

  • Yeah, seems pretty OP. Maybe if it were an obsession perk it would be better, but PWYF would be a better alternative that this. However, it would pair better with Nemisis.

  • Sounds interesting. Although I think it would be better as a counter for aura revealing perks and powers if you made it passive.

What I mean is that if the aura of one or more survivors that are not you would be revealed you scream and their auras are not revealed. Making it so it can only activate if you are healthy makes it more balanced too.

  • There is way too much going on with the power. There are too many ideas all coming together to become a confusing mess. It seems like 5 different killers mashed up into one, which if that was the idea I commend you, however, it is still too much. The perks seem a bit overpowered and could use some ironing out.

  • @Trwth said:

It’d be a tad bit chaotic, and I think the Killers would have a tough time dealing with eight Survivors since regardless of what they do, there will still be six other Survivors doing gens. Not to mention, those other Survivors aren’t really having much fun.

Maybe instead of it just being base-game x2, it’s like a last man standing, where a bunch of random events occur to thwart the Survivors’ escape while the Killers give chase.

I like that idea, maybe they need to do generators in order to prevent the endgame collapse. Maybe after 3 or 4 generators, one random generator that was completed would become uncompleted that way the game could keep going.

  • I like the idea. It's not my favorite of all the ideas for Jason, but it's definitely in the top 3. Although SBD could use some work on its activation condition, the other perks seem balanced enough.

  • Rancor Roulette

Rancor, Nemisis, Furtive Chase, and Play With Your Food.

  • I could see his power being something like setting up floating orbs with a radius of effect. If a survivor were to walk or run into that radius, the the orb would reveal their aura or something. I don't know, it's just a rough idea.

  • Maybe make it so instead of seeing dropped items auras, you can see held items aura at 5 meters.

  • The devs have already said that they wouldn't be doing anything like that.

#1: The power would be completely negated going against a SWF group.

#2: The power would be very difficult to balance.

#3: It takes away a lot of what is fun about DBD. This reason being my opinion.

I'm not saying the idea is completely doomed, but it would be very unlikely to see anything like that come anytime soon.

I think your concept is flawless honestly, I've wanted a werewolf as killer for ages

Just one thing though, I think it'd be better if he's just called the werewolf not the beast lol

Thank you! I thought about that, but I wanted the name to be a bit more eye catching than just "The Werewolf". Some other names I had thought about were "The Animal", "The Wolf" and "The Hunter".

  • I think instead of making the Obsession Broken right off the bat, instead make it so they become Broken after you hit them. Doing it this way does a couple things: #1, it makes it more balanced and fair, #2, it hides the fact that you would be running this perk at the very beginning. My thought process if I were a survivor that loads into a game and the Obsession without No Mither and I was already Broken would be to find the Totem ASAP.
