I think I can speak for most people that spirit is just broken. Correct me if I'm wrong but anyone who I talk to about this game says spirit is just broken. I get it it's the normal part of gaming experience for one thing to be over powered. But sometimes games against spirit...... I'd have more fun hitting my junk against a hot stove lol xD
I should clarify I've only logged in 157 hours into the game over the last year so maybe she's always been this way?
Mildly unrelated question - what's your survivor build?

No because blight has counter play, and is actually fun to go against. Unlike those two things you are comparing him two.
Plenty of killers with counterplay are hated.

I'm not sure do I agree completely (I do to some degree) but how NOED is unhealthy?
It discourages atonement for a killers mistakes. It offers a killer that one ultimate second chance. Granted, I'd say Dead Hard is actually stronger than NOED, but the idea is the same. Players should be forced to atone for their mistakes. Not be handed free do-overs.
-
I actually find it funny when survivors say that kind of crap to me. Cause they're usually "rank 1 and running dead hard".

And you’re in no place to talk about “cringe”, every reply in this thread from you has been “cringe”.

then the whole perk would have to be reworked, I'm just taking this aspect
The whole perk should be reworked, to be honest. It's intended use is borked with dedicated servers (and unhealthy for the game in the same way NOED is), and the use of it for distance is busted.

99% of survs perks are trash. They killed MoM. DS, BL, LB, OoO, so now it’s time to ask for nerfs for DH and BT. Killers want you to use deja vu or boil over
No killers are asking for BT nerfs. I fully support BT, as well as current DS.
MoM was broken. The entire community almost was united on that, as was OoO in most circumstances. BL was overtuned, and Lucky Break? 90 seconds? It was busted. Even some of the most survivor sided killer mains out there shared these sentiments. There's a difference between good perks, and having second chances handed to you on a silver platter with every single perk. Old DS did, and DH does.

Until someone comes to me with an argument that is actually relevant and logical, I'll continue to disregard them. What are you going to do about it?

Literally just give it a 2.5 second animation lock after use. Like a Doctor shock. To prevent artificial chase extension via dead harding for distance to a pallet or vault. It should be used for dodging hits. Even that shouldn't be there (survivors should have to get good and learn to atone for their mistakes), but the animation lock would be a decent compromise.

I never said dead hard never works, major strawman , "guy".
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2229960#Comment_2229960
Oh my god exactly, Dead Hard extends the chase the same as the other Exhaustion perks.
The different between them is Dead Hard cannot be used to move into a safer area as effectively as the others.
I rather have sprint burst because in some generator spawns they have quite literally no windows or pallets to go to nearby if the killer decides to come around.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SlmBSF80GDo
The reason why Dead Hard is hated among killers is because it's the most "In Your Face" move they can do and their less annoyed when a survivor sprint bursts away. And Sometimes the sprint burst often gives way better results.
There is no debate to be scared of. But good job trying to "tough talk" me on the DBD forums, broseph. Sit down. And stay down.

Like slowgen perks? Free aura reads. Perks that remove objective progress. Imagine complaining about a small distance perk when you have all these perks that do the "job for you" and a killer with no counterplay and Wraith that can literally spam dead hard multiple times per match.
Yeah, killers need to "git gud".
I appreciate you, I really do. You're an artist who takes their craft very seriously.
-
The whole "unfun behavior" thing is dumb. Literal, actual nonsense.
Playing to win being OKAY FOR BOTH SIDES, AND NOT JUST SURVIVORS, needs to be normalized. It's two sides competing against each other. We're not on the same team. Point blank, period. One side is supposed to repair generators to escape, the other side is supposed to kill them before they can do that.
Both sides need to get off their horse ######### pedestal of "this wasn't fun for me, let's all pretend my fun is more important than the other sides fun". Just play the video game. Play to win. Take every advantage you see. There is NOTHING wrong with this.
-
If we're going to talk about "fun to go against" and "fairness", perhaps we shouldn't start at the killer side.
-
Wha? His lunge is still huge, and his decloak movement speed hasn't changed. I reckon you're just doing it wrong.
-
Dead Hard is a free health state rewarded to survivors quite literally for failure. There's nothing fair about it. Survivors who use it aren't going anything skill based.
Much like killers who rely on bloodlust, or slowdowns. Except Dead Hard buys FAR more time if used for distance for survivors than even Pop Goes the Weasel does for killers.

DH for reach is annoying but not OP.
It absolutely IS op if used for distance, and unfair as all hell. Why are you rewarded a free distance boost and iframes at the press of a button for free? Dead Hard will get nerfed, eventually; and on that day, survivors will have to get good.

Can you quote where I said "Dead Hard Never Works" seems like you'd rather twist words than come up with an actual rebuttal.
Dead hard used to work flawlessly before dedicated servers, now if you try to use it to dodge actual swings it rarely works, the only reason to use it now is to dash forward, which is intended as states in the perk description, it actually mentions dashing before it mentions avoiding hits so.
Sorry - dead hard "rarely" works. My bad.
Still - it's a nonsensical lie, and a strawman. If it rarely worked, it would rarely be run. You know damn well why people run it. You're not fooling anyone.

@valvarez4 said:
Bloodlust is for bad killers too, and I don’t see you killers asking for removing it
I agree with this - except here's the thing, bloodlust exists because of bad map design. Something that has still not been rectified. Even more, I only ever proc bloodlust when an exhaustion perk is used. I'm all in favor of bloodlust being removed completely. So long as exhaustion is gutted so it no longer allows survivors to extend chases without actual skill.
You're also comparing a perk to a mechanic killers can't actually do anything about or choose not to use - especially if an exhaustion perk, again, was used to extend chase and causes bloodlust to proc.

You seem like a very angry person, I'm not trying to fool anyone, you legit end up in the ground a bunch of times exhausted, go watch anyone that runs it, and as for your reply to the other guy, there a bunch of boring stuff to deal with on both sides so it's hardly an excuse to change something.
The perk is fine.
I no longer consider your opinion relevant, to be honest. Nothing particularly against you, but eh. "Dead hard never works" is just to most ridiculous blatant lie that exists.

Using dead hard doesn't mean you can't loop, dunno what doctrination sh*t is that but whatever.
What I can tell you is really Dead Hard is good if you got resources nearby but if your dead hard in a dead zone your really not doing much there.
Where as Sprint Burst can allow survivors to enter safer loops from a dead zone or get a head start in a chase which can lead to 30 seconds to a minute chases. Again not everyone needs exhaustion perks but the ability to extend a chase is really needed with the slow down meta.
Plus I seen streamers who make Dead Hard look like trash most of the time, if they're expecting you to lunge, quick swing, if they already used dead hard, lunge. You can literally hit them at the end of the dead hard.
AND not only that, once you know they got dead hard their effectiveness in tricking you is far worse, it's pretty much your fault you fell for it more than once.
So it's my fault if a survivor dead hards for distance (which there's no way to outplay) to a pallet/vault and extends the chase for free, with no skill of their own?
Alright there bud. Sit down.
-
You can not be proven wrong. Dead hard is basically technician for looping. It's for babies, but yet, seasoned survivors use it and act like they're outplayed killers by hitting E.

Just to remind everyone, no one is banned in game without evidence. If you are playing within the rules (which I posted in here earlier), you will not have to worry. And I know many are concerned about the new automated report system, and we will have more on that at a later time.
"At a later time" wasn't a good enough answer then, and it's not now. You can NOT use the words "automated ban" and "automated report" and then not tell us the base outline of what you have in mind. It's actually kind of insane and cringe that you think it's okay to even mention such a system and not elaborate.
Me and a lot of the people in the LGBTQ community are afraid to be reported because of our preferences, pronouns etc. And you're going to neglect actually putting our minds at ease so close to pride month? Shame on you, really.

How is NoED still a thing that exists? Facecamped by losers with noed 3 times and abandoned by my team on 1st hook. Nothing feels worse than a second chance perk that rewards bad play and screws over 1 person.
Rework DH when NoED is removed so bad killers stop getting pity kills.
NOED can be removed before it ever gets used. There's multiple perks (including a new one coming) to facilitate this.
Kindly tell me the same kind of counter for dead hard, especially when used for distance.
Now sit.

AbsolvedLive is pretty good. He's chill, but likes to talk trash etc. Nothing bad, harmless banter mostly. He gets a lot of salt but that's just killer streaming in a nutshell. Averages about 30 viewers.
Paladin_Goo is also another good one. Also talks a lot of trash but it's all in good fun. Good dude, shows appreciation to his community. Averages about 35 viewers in only about 7 months of streaming.
Wispurx is also wholesome as all hell.
Archdruid_Drey is also the best Doc in DBD.
-
That literally has nothing to do with the point I was making.
Your entire post was "but without deadhard my game is boring as survivor". That's because you're bad at survivor, and need dead hard. It's much more fun without dead hard, actually knowing how to loop. Period.
Not only that - but you completely dismiss the fact that dead hard is boring to go against. Because you only give a ######### about your own fun.

Yes, cause dead hard totally isn't boring for the killer. Who outplayed you and now you press E for a free health state. People like you are why killers camp and tunnel. To you, only your fun matters. Legit get over yourself.
-
As someone who uses the pride charm on every single character, killer and survivor, I have seen a lot of "wow, imagine tunneling me because i have the pride charm". Like, maybe I tunneled you because it was the smart move. Now people are using it as an excuse to call people homophobes. As a bisexual male, I find that disgusting, and people like that using it as a shield need to be gotten rid of.

Both need to be looked at, equally. Both sides have braindead stuff. And we've already got a great start. Killers finally feel threatening, DS got its fix, etc.
While they both need looking at, both sides don't have an equal level of braindead stuff. Survivors first.

Just because a killer is weak in any way doesn't mean they should have access to braindead add-ons. Base-kit Wraith is fine.
The issue is that Wraith no longer needs to rely on add-ons, meaning he has freedom for whatever he wants. The issue was that he had to rely on Windstorm, and now that he doesn't need to, he can use both silent bell and all-seeing at the same time. See the problem?
When Wraith didn't get this update then yeah sure, the add-ons would be fine. But in this case, nah.
And yes, I'm afraid you are being rude. It's called passive-aggressiveness, in case you didn't know what that means.
If we're going to start looking at things in game that are braindead, the survivor meta needs looking at first. Literally before anything. Period. No counter point exists.

But you’re making that claim on a pittance of evidence. Have you and the OP actually played any games together?
The OP admitting that ONE skill they’re not great at in the myriad of skills needed to play survivor does not immediately equate to someone being universally bad at video games.
I'm saying that if you're complaining in any way, shape or form about WRAITH of all killer, or any of his addons, there's something lacking in the skill department.

Indoor maps are killer sided in general. Even weaker killers do better on indoor maps. A lot of players, regardless of role, just refuse to learn those maps and it shows.
Yes, Lery's with it's endless safe vaults. Hawkins with it's endless areas where you can't get to a gen because the door to the room right next to you is in Japan. The Game, with literally every pallet almost being a god pallet. Midwich, with god pallets, god vaults, and where holding W is ACTUALLY a brilliant strategy and buys a ton of time. But there is a difference between knowing what does a good logo and what we like.
I think I'm super biased: I like changes. I like fresh start. So, I immediately liked the new logo because... it's new. OK, not only because it's new, but it's one of the factors which makes me like it.
Some people don't like changes, and the simple fact it was changed altered their judgement. Like the fact it's new altered mine.
If I try to think out of my comfort zone, I'd say it's alright. The name of the game is big enough to be read from away, the logo is still recognizable... Nothing fancy nor unique, so it's simply alright.
(If you have something to add about the design, I'd like to read about it. I'm no graphic designer but I'm super interested.)
The logo isn't about "what you like" as a consumer. That's not why logos exist. Logos exist for exposure, readability, and brand recognition. Something the new design is leaps and bounds ahead of the old one in.

Make killer and survivor hitboxes the same size and you can take away bloodlust.
Deal?
Not even that. Get rid of exhaustion perks DESIGNED to extend chases artificially. When I play, if I even hit Bloodlust, it's because the survivor used an exhaustion perk to extend the chase through no skill of their own. We can get rid of bloodlust when exhaustion takes a dirt nap.

It's ridiculous that this happens every match and when you add that onto the fact that the killers are already so powerful it makes it impossible for survivors to win a match. It honestly takes the fun out of the game and I wish the Devs would make it a rule that you can't do that. Its cheating end of story. I love this game, its my favorite but that crap is effin toxic and makes it hard for a survivor to rank.
Inaccurate. What's ruining the game is survivors using every perk, tactic and playstyle in the book and calling it "okay", but the second the killer does the same, it's "ruining the game".
AKA - You're ruining the game. Stop ruining the video game.

and that's only if he's using his ability to attack you. It's the killer's choice to use it instead of an M1 attack. You're also going to be contaminated, sandbagged, injured, and downed by zombies, so I think it's entirely unfair that there's a finite number of vaccines in a trial.
My god, survivors really do want their hand held.
