  • They're basically pre-dropped unvaultable pallets. And survivors have absolutely 0 interaction with them, killer either always breaks them or never breaks them. I feel like if only killer can interact with it then killer should always have some reason to, and since survivors can't interact with them they shouldn't punish survivors for being left unbroken when they can't do anything about it

I think all breakable walls should generally benefit killer when broken and benefit survivors while standing, and survivors should be able to rebuild them. Each time an individual wall gets broken it takes a bit longer to build back. And its a base mechanic not a perk, but maybe a perk could be related to it

  • Dwight + Trapper since they were the default characters. And I only had 4 survivors and 3 killers to choose from at the time

  • Ever since I started playing the game back in 2016 I've always thought "man it'd be really nice if the Entity would send me a little backup every once in a while" finally I got my wish with zombies. Nemesis will be my main if for no other reason than the zombies (but I like his other stuff too). Would be nice to have a bit more interaction with them like summoning/commanding/buffing them but I honestly never thought I'd even get ai minions in the first place so I'm just super glad to have them

Aside from that, another thing I've always wanted was for firecrackers to be a baseline item but the flashbang perk is even better I think, since you can get more than one per game and you don't have to worry about running out of items in your inventory since it's tied to a perk

Blast Mine is also really cool, I like the idea of trapping/protecting generators (######### repressed alliance I'm gonna pretend it doesn't exist)

And of course looking forward to everyone and their dog running Lightborn and Distortion for a few weeks

  • It's even worse when they won't work on a generator because they're following you around trying to heal you

  • Dead Man Walking

While in the dying state for at least 5 seconds, press the active ability button to stand back up for 15 seconds, during which time you suffer the Incapacitated status effect. If you take damage or the timer runs out you go back down. Recovery progress does not reset when using this perk. The perk deactivates upon use, but reactivates when you are healthy for 80/70/60 seconds

"If a chainsaw wielding maniac can't kill me, what harm could a bit of walking do?"

    Making an Exit

You can pry open the hatch without a key by interacting with it for 40/35/30 seconds. Interrupting the action will reset the progress. During this time your aura is revealed to the killer. Multiple survivors with this perk can work together to open the hatch faster

"Nothing stays locked forever, even without a key"

Skeleton in the Closet (kind of a silly one)

Once per trial, if the killer finds you inside a locker outside of a chase you will be teleported to a random locker at least 36 meters away, and the killer will be jumpscared by a skeleton causing them to get stunned for 5 seconds

    "Spooky and scary"

  • I think mutation should gradually increase over time for each infected person; more infected = faster rate. Also infected people should be more noticeable by zombies. I wouldn't mind an extra antidote or two to compensate for these things, but at the same time it should take longer to open the box and use the antidote. Currently it's 4 seconds to open the box and 3 seconds to cure, that just seems way too short

  • Nemesis because he's the coolest killer ever, I finally have a main after all these years of not having one

Then Leon for Flashbang because I've always wanted firecrackers to be a regular item, and they're basically like firecrackers

Then Jill for Blast Mine for when I want generators to flashbang the killer for me

I have a feeling everyone's gonna be running Lightborn for a few weeks

  • Jake is probably my favorite, but Dwight I think is my least favorite. I like how he looks now, the new version just kinda makes him look weird somehow

  • What's the counterplay to healthy survivors

  • Zombies infecting people should give you the mutation for it. It's already bad enough that people can just never use the antidote so you never get any more mutation, but even worse if they get hit by a zombie, they can even do so intentionally, to keep you from getting mutation. On the other hand I don't think mutation makes that big of a difference but still.

I would prefer if each infected person slowly increases your mutation meter rather than just getting some when you initially infect someone and that's it

  • Uhh, sort of like a mix between David and Jeff

Personality wise I'd say maybe Dwight but not exactly

  • Trickster isn't exactly great compared to a lot of other killers but throwing a bunch of knives at people is pretty fun imo. He also talks and laughs at survivors which is cool, most killers don't say anything except maybe the occasional laugh or grunt. He has some interesting perks which can be fun sometimes, although you won't always get value out of them

  • I bring Plunderer's and/or Appraisal and hide the key somewhere until I need it

Also kinda makes it like a second objective with searching chests, although it's still mostly luck based it feels a little less cheap and more exciting when I have to search to find a key

  • If they added an fov slider there'd be an absolute avalanche of screaming for a week about how people are gonna be able to get 12 hooks at 5 gens with burger king Myers every game because of their monster 15 degree pov and then you'd never hear a peep about it again after that

    • No recoil (why is there recoil ๐Ÿค”)
    • Main Event is ready until activated with less slowdown while active
    • Knives ricochet once by default
    • Knives don't decay while sprinting or performing an action
  • I think a mode where there's a car and people have to get parts to repair it and drive out would be cool

Problems would be camping the car/parts and people driving off and leaving each other. Maybe have multiple cars and several parts

Or maybe survivors are in a big mansion where they have to find keys and other objects to get to new areas and eventually open the exit, and have multiple methods to get out so less camping

  • Feels like 69 ๐Ÿ˜Ž

  • It's already situational enough with screams and killer instinct ignoring it, requiring people to be dead to work, a lot of aura perks working at a distance so it doesn't even affect them, and it's not quite long enough to block Nurse's Calling at 1 token, but to top it all off the reason it was made in the first place (to work with Object) is now irrelevant. This perk is long overdue a change

  • I think a slow passive regression would be fair. People can still prep the gate without opening it but they would have to stay near to keep it topped off or risk not being able to open it quickly enough later on without someone there ahead of time. Or they can choose to fully open it so they don't have to deal with that problem

Maybe if EGC has already started the regression is disabled

  • Years ago there was a bug on The Game (meat plant) map that sometimes removed global lighting, it was super dark and the only light sources were the random lights and generators on the map. Basically it was pitch black and was super fun like hide and seek and it was actually hard to navigate and play normally but it was so cool that it didn't matter

I feel like darker atmosphere is more fun and fitting rather than being bright or even sunny, of course if it was always super dark that would be terrible but I don't like these new brighter maps, I prefer darker maps

  • Oversimplification is what's hoppin' and poppin' these days for some reason

Some call it minimalism, I call it lazy and uninspired

  • All I see is that big juicy +1000 BP, nothing else matters

  • I noticed this just the other day when Trickster had Trail of Torment but I still heard his terror radius I was like huh? but I wasn't sure

  • I had a game the other day, I don't remember the other survivors but the killer was Wraith with brown addon that keeps his terror radius while cloaked, and he was running Distressing. We were on Haddonfield

Most of the time the killer would cloak and uncloak repeatedly and always kick gens giving people a huge amount of distance. But nobody did gens for some reason. I did 2 whole gens by myself, they were the first 2 gens to get done

During that time a few people get hooked but the killer didn't camp or anything, eventually someone gets killed and I start getting chased, after about 3 minutes of me being chased another gen finally gets done by somebody else, I basically ran back and forth between 2 pallets the entire time because he never tried to break them or mindgame

Eventually the killer gets bored and leaves me so I go back to a generator and manage to finish it, now we're down to 1 gen. Unfortunately it's a big hairy 3 gen and nobody else was doing gens during this time so they're all at 0

For about 5 minutes or so I have a back-and-forth with the killer of trying to do a generator, him kicking it, chasing me, and then running off to check the gen/other gens which nobody was doing (keep in mind 2 other people besides me are still alive)

I have no idea where the other people are or what they're doing but it's basically a 1v1. I eventually get the gen to like 90% and I try really hard to keep on it and finish it but I just can't because nobody is helping. Eventually the killer focuses me for a while and I go down and get hooked because he started playing a bit better and I made a few mistakes

One of them (I think a Claudette) finally saved me, but the other person (I think Ace) was being totally useless (they were wearing a P3 outfit btw) hiding in the corner

The Claudette that saved me vanished again and the gen was back to like 50% by now so I just let the killer kill me because the game was going way too long and I was bored as #########. They eventually killed the Claudette and guess what. THE KILLER LET THE USELESS GUY LIVE. Dude had literally about 5000 BP from escaping, everyone else had at least triple the score even though we all died and he lived

I had to take a break from survivor after that

  • One game as killer I got flashlight saved against. Guy that got saved went down again 5 seconds later and person trying to save died to Starstruck while trying to get a second save

Unfortunately they barely got any gens done because the flashlight saver was following me around like a lost puppy desperately trying to get my attention the entire game while I chased other survivors

Moral of the story: they're annoying but they're usually not very smart. If I had DC'd I would have missed the part where the guy basically sandbagged his whole team by never doing anything useful

  • 1 word: Zombies. I've always wanted minions, I'd like them better if I could interact with them more, like give them commands or something, but just having them around is good enough for me

I also like his attack, it's kind of like a lighter version of Pyramid Head's punishment. It isn't as wide or long and doesn't hit multiple targets or go through walls, but you can aim freely so you can use it in the open and over some short loops. PH limits turning and aiming speed and has a delay so you pretty much can only hit people that are stuck in an animation which I find really boring

Being able to tier up is also nice, I've always wanted a killer that gains more abilities as the game progresses, but Nemesis tiers are underwhelming and don't really make that big of a difference to be worth the effort. Still neat to have though

Having a status effect is cool, but it's 99% status and 1% effect

  • Old Freddy was super unique which I liked

I also think Nemesis zombies are really cool and totally unique but everything else about him seems to be some combination of other characters. Tentacle is like a lighter but quicker version of PH punishment, status effect is like a minor Plague sickness, searching boxes for the antidote is like a watered down mix of pig/freddy/plague. The only really different thing is the zombies which is kinda sad because you don't interact with them much besides killing them for mutation and hoping they're where you want them to be

Worst goes to Hag for sure

  • Where's the giant hedge maze complete with random generation so you can't memorize it

  • A few days ago I was playing Trickster and had someone run out of basement after being unhooked, I hit them with like 7 knives coming up the stairs and they jump in a locker. I grab them and they DS me, 5 seconds later I finish them off with one last knife and right back down they go

Not sure what their reaction was since they were crossplay but it was probably something like "what the ######### how did he do that BS? ds sucks Trickster op"

  • Nemesis: Tier 3 allows you to hit multiple targets with the tentacle attack instead of just one thing at a time, with a bit faster recovery

Each tier up slightly increases zombie's detection range and movement speed

Instead of mutation on hit, each infected survivor slowly increases mutation meter over time, more infected = faster rate (you can still hit zombies for bonus)

The idea is that he has a slower and steadier buildup but is more impactful on his power and zombies both of which are kind of lacking in mutation bonuses currently. It would also make people want to cure quickly and avoid infection rather than staying infected forever like it's no big deal

  • Nemesis is definitely gonna be my main, that PTB was the best time I've had in this game besides when I first got it 5 years ago. And maybe when they removed pallet vacuum. Maybe I'm kinda biased because I like RE and I've always wanted ai minions but I really love him

But that's still 11 long ass days away and I have a feeling it's gonna be the longest 11 days of my life so in the meantime I think Trickster is pretty fun. He's kinda crap but slinging knives at people is fun, and him talking, laughing, and sometimes taunting survivors adds some extra flavor to it. Bouncy knives are extra fun, exploding and piercing knives are also fun sometimes if survivors group up for whatever reason. Unless throwing knives isn't your cup of tea or you're already tired of him

  • RE because zombies rock and are something totally new

Also they brought in flashbangs which are basically firecrackers which I've wanted as a default item forever. I guess it's technically tied to a perk and not an item you bring in but at least we can use them freely without having to wait for an event to hoard them and worry about them running out

  • I hope it's true, I really wonder what all they can detect and how their detection works

  • That would be a good change, currently on indoor maps they can easily block tight hallways and doors but on open maps we don't have many places like that and there is a lot more ground for them to cover and/or get lost in so having more would make up for it

Some of the big maps like temple or red forest you can go the whole game and only see a zombie once or twice

  • I kinda wish Nemesis had a bit more interaction with them than just killing them to charge his thing or hoping they happen to get in survivor's way during a chase. I don't know what but having a bit more strategy and stuff to do with them would be really cool. I feel like there's a lot of rng right now because they either block pathways, harass generators, or moonwalk in the corner and you forget they even exist

Yes. These responses here, exactly. I'm telling you, you two guys would love Monstrum. That's pretty much the entire game. :)

I've actually played Monstrum, it's pretty fun, especially with the different creatures and objectives. When I first played it (I think that might've been before dbd but I don't remember) I hid for so long because I couldn't tell where the monster was and it always sounded like it was nearby. And the alien thing always got me with the egg sacs everywhere

  • Billy or jumpscare Myers

  • I think people like the hide and seek aspect of it; not knowing whether you'll be found or the killer will pass you by unnoticed. For me personally I get a big thrill from being right under the killer's nose without them knowing, narrowly avoiding being caught, or that oh ######### moment when you realize they did find you and now you're scrambling to get away

That being said, I definitely don't like those people who seem to think lockers are the main objective and generators are just there to distract the killer

  • The "I wish there was another objective" build:

Appraisal, Plunderer's Instinct, Small Game, Any Means Necessary

  • I really hope, but I sadly doubt

I would main the ######### out of that killer for sure though

  • Actually they never technically said 'new' ways they said "novel ways to sacrifice or survive inspired by the renowned franchise" so it's kinda based on how you want to interpret it. It could mean new objectives or it could just be another way of saying new perks and characters

Personally I'd sooner believe they're selling the game and investing all their money in a popsicle stand on the north pole than believe they would actually ######### finally add something new to do after 5 whole years of nothing but boring ass generators and hooks. Hope I'm wrong

  • I wish they'd buff more garbage perks (on both sides) so we have less situations of people using the same perks all the time and create more build diversity

But they only buff a few at a time, every few months, and even then some of the buffed perks end up getting nerfed again

  • Bro you should see Identity V. In that game hunter gets a match literally within 2 seconds of pressing the button. I've played that game on and off since 2018 and I don't think I've ever waited longer than 10 seconds for a match as hunter but survivors have to wait several minutes. Technically you could say survivors have to wait 100 times longer and it would be true

Good thing it's not that bad in dbd... yet ๐Ÿ˜…

  • Oni's perk Zanshin Tactics is good for learning pallet and window locations, it lets you see them through walls at a certain distance. Also if you didn't know you can unlock people's unique perks on other people's bloodweb if you get them to a certain level

For example when you get Oni to level 30 an orange "teachable" version of Zanshin Tactics will appear on his bloodweb, and if you get it, from that point forward Zanshin Tactics has a chance to appear on any other killer's bloodweb like a regular perk would. Same goes for all characters' unique/teachable perks

  • Probably around 5 for both. I think I'm pretty good when I want to be but I never use meta perks and I usually just play to have fun, I don't really try that hard

  • Definitely gives a huge advantage...

To your eye doctor having to do a weekly surgery to replace your fried retinas

  • Because the game is 10 times crazier than dbd. People can jump/glide through the air, throw bombs, use magic, ride a boar, burrow underground, tackle the killer, lasso people to save them, shrink into a tiny person and dig for treasure, send a dog to attack the killer or deliver buffs to teammates. And those are just the survivors

I wouldn't mind dbd being a bit crazier to be honest

Also just wanted to randomly add that the reason people camp so much in IdV is because people die much faster and it's not worth it to leave for someone else

  • For survivor

Lightweight: Also reduces footstep noises, and is 5 seconds rather than 3

Wake Up: Progress is 100% faster instead of 15%, you can determine gate progress by their aura

Distortion: Each time you escape a chase without being damaged you gain another token

Camaraderie: Works once for each hook state, people are notified when you have it

Hope: Activates when gates are powered or when you're on your last hook (but only once per round)

    For killer

    Blood Echo: Also applies Broken

Coulrophobia, Overwhelming Presence, and Unnerving Presence: Effect persists for 10 seconds after leaving terror radius, Unnerving removes great skill checks while affected

Gearhead: Lasts 45 seconds, each hit while active extends it by 15 seconds

Hex Blood Favor: Not a hex

Knock Out: Works on any downed survivor, not just survivors downed by a basic attack

Monstrous Shrine: While carrying a survivor an entity portal will appear at the basement entrance which the killer can drop the survivor in and it will place them on a basement hook automatically (so they can put survivors down there without having to walk all the way down and back)

Predator: Scratch marks occasionally pulsate, indicating which direction they are going

Spies From the Shadows: Instead of a basic noise indicator you get a loud cawing sound, and remove the black hole notification that takes up half the screen preventing you from seeing anything

  • Doctor and Hag. They're super annoying and nothing about them I like
