Still waiting for the right killer, so no main yet.
Currently I like Plague and Oni the most, but honestly I don't feel like any of the existing killers are "right up my alley" enough for me to really want to get invested in them and play them a bunch
I want to like Leatherface and Clown, but uh... well, you know. I guess I like the concept more than the execution, to put it nicely.
-
I remember when it was just the 3 OG's Trapper Wraith and Billy. Ahh yeah... I definitely don't miss infinites and double pallets and pallet vacuum or anything like that
-
Plague, she can just bust out a koolaid machine gun and all the other killers are screwed
-
Seems like there are more instances where survivors go out of their way to be #########, like t-bag and flashlight clicking, doing things that are otherwise a disadvantage just to cause more annoyance to the killer. Not saying the killer never does that but survivors tend to be the ones who started it. Also the survivors are usually the ones slinging ######### in the endgame chat, and since there's 4 of them they can all team up on the killer insulting them and the killer can't get a word in edgewise. Even if the killer didn't do anything wrong they might still get bombarded with hate or taunting and be unable to make any sort of comeback except just leaving.
-
Probably like yellow-green, since the matchmaking system loves to throw them into rank 1 killers, meanwhile the green killers get rank 1 survivors
-
Imagine Mr. X busting through a wall and X gon' give it to ya starts playing
-
Just wanted to point out that "wE aLREdddy hAVe CloWn KiLLeR" isn't the greatest argument ever against Pennywise (not aiming that at anyone in particular by the way, it's just something people say a lot). We also already had a chainsaw killer (Billy before Leatherface), a stalking killer (Myers before Ghostface), spirit-realm killers (Wraith, then Nurse, then Spirit), and a whopping 4 teleporting killers (Nurse, Hag, Freddy, Demogorgon) as well as 4 stealth killers. Having some similar things isn't going to ruin the game, if it was then it would have already.
Not saying I want Pennywise, just pointing out that having another clown doesn't permanently ban Pennywise from the game, after all a circus needs more than one clown 🤡🤡
-
Plague is one of my favorite killers, but then again I don't play often enough to get to high ranks so that's probably why, since I can actually use the other half of my power

Well bad or non-meta perks can also lead to some fun gimmick builds and help people learn play-styles. If all the perks were super powerful then we would have very limited build testing/tinkering and things would get really stale.
I find "meta" game play stale as it is and often use uncommon perks to have some fun. I've grown very fond of Alert even though its far from a meta perk or a very good one.
There's a difference between meta and useful. For example, Autodidact isn't meta but it can still be useful, you might not always get it to work but (at least in my opinion) it's worth using outside of meme builds and can make a big difference. Another example is Tenacity, while it's on the lower side of the usefulness scale and might be outclassed by Unbreakable, it can be very handy if the killer decides to slug and then you're gone from the area by the time they get back, when you wouldn't have had enough time to recover with Unbreakable, and you can get in a better position for revival without losing recovery time.
I'm talking about perks like Monstrous Shrine that do next to nothing and will only make a significant difference less than 1% of the time and the rest of the time it's basically a wasted slot. There aren't as many perks like this as there used to be since they are fixing a few with each chapter but there are still some floating around
-
Honestly there are so many perks in this game that I wonder "who the ######### approved this idea and thought people would actually want to use it" I guess they can't always be creative, but they could at least try to not make perks that are near-useless. Like poor old Monstrous Shrine, untouched since 2016
-
I've always wanted the "multiple killers" aspect to be incorporated into their power somehow, I think this would be a cool idea and would make Legion an interesting killer as opposed to how they are right now
-
When I spawn in and see a random bear trap on the floor. Because now (even at the start of the match when there is no possible way there would even be traps there yet) I am going to check every single piece of grass for traps, probably going to check them next game too even when I know it's not the trapper
-
They're pretty much always on Tuesdays, we just don't know which Tuesday. This Tuesday may be a bit too soon but who knows, it's possible I guess
-
Overrated: Dead Hard. It gives you like 1 inch of space and while it can help you make some windows/pallets and maybe save you at the gate killers can easily predict you using it and just wait to attack in most cases.
Underrated: Autodidact. One of the coolest perks in my opinion, although I'll admit it can hurt you in some situations and it is super RNG-based with getting the skill checks, it's basically watered down instaheals without needing a medkit if you can get 5 stacks

Once more your entire point makes no sense, please read all comments thoroughly. I am not holding them accountable for the money I spent nor the third party I acquired the item from. The item is exclusive, and should remain as such. It was part of a loyalty scheme for old players and now they have the numbers and the players they ARE throwing them under the bus. All those people who travelled to these events, for the cosmetics and not. All those people that won contests and their prize was.. golden feng?... the untamed David donkey jacket? The people that won the original dweards, street-wise meg etc during BHVR giveaways? These all mean nothing. Completely nothing. Even worse it's an insult as they are giving every single player access to every single one.
And your point makes no sense either. People had those items exclusive for years, and you are acting like they got nothing from their efforts. People who had those items still had exclusive access to them and got to be cool when everyone else didn't, them being given to everyone now doesn't change the past. They never said the items would remain exclusive forever anyways, and there are other games that have had exclusive items which later became available to everyone, so it's not like they are doing something outlandish.
-
They need to take away the damn injured soundtrack from it as well. Don't want to listen to that the whole game
-
You can fake vaults with literally any killer. I do it all the time and guess what? It works! Just do it like any other mindgame; pretend you're going to do one thing but do another. In fact, even with a vault animation Spirit will still be better at vault fakes due to passive phasing making it harder to tell if she's committing to the vault or juking in a different direction. She can still stand at windows to fake a phase as well.
-
Bruh I literally have like half the stuff they're giving everyone guess what? I DON'T GIVE A DAMN. It's cosmetics and we've had them like forever. We've been able to be cooler than everyone else for this long, I don't think it's a ripoff because they still WERE exclusive for a long time, just aren't anymore. Them giving the stuff to everyone now doesn't reverse the past.
Everyone is being super dramatic about this, honestly I think this community is just waiting for something to complain about and create a shitstorm

I spent £600 on a golden feng code, which was a big decision but I was okay with it and that it was my responsibility. However, I did pay £600 for this exclusive, and many people have spent money on these because of their exclusive ranking in the game. This feels like a kick to the face and thrusts a large chunk of their core consumers and loyal fanbase to the side. I have never had an issue with bhvr, through bug and unwarranted deaths during gameplay. I love this game, but this decision on their end is absolutely devastating and no compensation for such a drastic decision would be a final blow. They haven't done it yet, they can still make it right. Anyone who is okay with this has their reasoning or are just super happy about getting a FREE exclusive cosmetic which I would also be. But if the devs have wanted to do this, then they shouldn't have waited until after three years have passed, plentiful time for many members to lose money, it's just completely immoral.
BHVR didn't give you that code, and whoever did ripped you off hardcore my dude. So while that does suck BHVR doesn't owe you anything and they definitely aren't kicking anyone in the face just because people decided to scam/get scammed for codes. In any case, people did have exclusivity of the cosmetics for a good amount of time so it's not like they didn't get anything ultimately.
-
Monstrous Shrine. Literally the most garbage perk in the game and hasn't been changed since the game came out in 2016
-
Gonna have to derank to browntown to get the stupid Trapper challenges
-
Something I haven't seen many people mention is the fact that these challenges are much harder but give the same amount of fragments as the previous ones. They give more BP but the fragments are the same, 3 and 5 based on whether it's a "master challenge" or not. I think it should be like 3-5 for the first set (like it is now), then 3-5 with more 5 in the second set, 5-7 in the third set, and 5-7 with more 7 in the fourth set. And completing a set should be 10, 15, 20, 25 fragments respectively instead of 10 each. I think that would make things a bit more fair considering the difficulty of some of these challenges and the time and effort it would take to complete all of them.
-
Part of the reason I play Leatherface is for these guys. Just gotta hope they're the altruistic type if you know what I mean 🎣
-
I am neither for nor against it, I think it's cool that they connect the lore but it's also cool if they create something new. I am glad it's not another damned licensed chapter though
There is a slight possibility this is somehow a red herring and the chapter might not be so related as we think. But I don't want to start throwing any crazy theories out there but the devs do like to mislead us from time to time
-
Only after thanksgiving though. Gotta have some down time after Halloween
-
It's probably like the weakest one but it can't be destroyed (except for healing) and I don't have to go out of my way to get it to work. And I play Plague a lot, she can make it almost kinda good
-
The Alchemist 😎
-
I know man what the hell is BHVR getting took over we have TWO whole Japanese killers out of 18 (after it is added) that's like a million percent!!! Can't believe this 😡😡😡 like how dare they try to add on to previous lore! That's so stupid, they should only add anything that's new that we've never heard of before. If they connect it to previous lore they're just being uncreative cuz they can't come up with something new! And if the killers are related in lore then their powers must be the exact same! There's no way they could make two related killers that have a different power, that's just absurd!!!1111!!
-
I don't really have any preference for who it is as long as they have 2 super situational perks and 1 totally busted perk that eventually gets nerfed to the 9th layer of hell

Don't be sad Jacoby, there are many more important things going on in your life right now !
Actually...
-
I'm just sad it's not the Alchemist
-
well ######### all of us who were hoping for Alchemist I guess. Really wanted him to be killer, I liked his story and style too. Or at least what little we have of it. Nope, flush my dreams down the toilet
However: I've said it before and I'll say it again, as long as it isn't a stealth or teleporting killer I won't be too unhappy with it. If it is, I'm going to be so pissed because literally half the killers in the game already do those things we don't need more of the same crap
-
Make the XP bonus for emblems like 10 times what it is (seriously did they miss a digit or something) and give you credit for each emblem, not just the highest one. Should help with the rift grind by allowing you to get fragments from XP a bit easier
-
If the wall says something about "coming back to life" or something along those lines it could be referring to the Alchemist coming back from the void into the trials
-

Yes, the entity lied basically to rin she will never get her revenge. However I doubt we would see Rin's father because when she was first recruited it was stated that her overwhelming rage was hard even for the entity to handle so they had to strike a deal even if it would never come to pass. I doubt the Entity would care to have one of it's killers go batshit on them by recruiting Rin's father. It's more likely the alchemist he may be strong but he is still human even if he is souped up on serum so they would need a weapon. And since he's been to the trials he would know exactly where to find one. That's my stupid theory at least.
Even if it's stupid I'm rolling with it because I want the Alchemist, the cutscene is kinda badass and the power I'd suspect he'd have (inject to go roid rage on survivors) is something I'd like to have. Could main him if he's good enough
-
@immortalls96 said:
We may be reading too much into it..the alchemist said hed tear the killers and survivors apart to get the serum..so..if he went for it he would need a weapon..not something you just find lying around..except at the yamokoa estate..hopefully this is the case because its awesome
Yeah that's what I'm thinking/hoping too. In that cutscene the Alchemist looks badass and it would be a bummer if they didn't make him a killer
And the devs like to sometimes mislead people with teasers. Like the Plague for example they showed the smoke and censer which technically is related to her character but gave us no information about who she is and what she does. They want us to think something totally different from what is actually coming so it's a bigger surprise when we find out
-
fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuudge I want the Alchemist so bad. Maybe he snuck in and stole a katana because he needs it to become the next killer 😅
On a serious note, as long as whoever it is doesn't stealth, stalk, teleport, or phase I really don't care who it is. I'm just sick of powers that don't bring anything new to the table and are just some variation of crap we already have with like 1 or 2 things changed.
Also, it could be a red herring. You know how they like to trick us sometimes, and something to do with the Spirit/her family would be really obvious. Remember with the Plague when they just showed a bunch of smoke and the censer, which technically was related to the character but gave us literally zero information or indication of who/what she actually is and does
-
Last guy on the hook with 10 seconds left and the killer camping him and I'm downed on the other end of the map, people will still yell at me for not trying to save
-
If I depip great! That's one less pip towards going against more difficult opponents and whatever stupid thing I'm trying to pull off won't feel as pointlessly stupid and luck based (I'm looking at you, tome challenges) if I don't have a sweaty maniac (on either side) in every match I play
-
I'm at the point where I've begun to wonder "why the ######### am I even playing this game" but I do still have fun sometimes. It's getting a little stale just having the same old thing all the time. It's been said many times before but some other objective or way to escape or just something else to do (that's actually useful and worth doing) during the match would be nice.

Sometimes its nice to just be able to hold it for abit. I know alot of times at unsafe pallets, Im able to get a down+pallet break because of that.
Then you could still 99 it like Billy's saw by tapping when it's almost full
-
They could just make it like Billy's saw (not sure why they didn't in the first place) so it automatically goes when it's full bar
-
I'd prefer an actual use instead of just a BP bonus but that would still be better than what it is now. Just saying "it's hard mode" is not really a good reason for a perk to be total garbage
-
*sees title*
-
Multiple gens going off at once pretty much activate "camp everything that moves" mode for me. Nothing is more depressing than being like "heck yeah, still 4 gens left" and then literally 5 seconds later "well ######### just 1 gen left"
-
Plague because (just for the record I like Plague, one of my favorite killers actually) people don't cleanse. The infection spreads and then people stay broken all game and nothing interesting happens and everybody's coughing puking one shot but she's just m1 besides that. If they do cleanse she basically gets a machine gun and kills everybody unless they have plenty of cover or hide until it's over. I wish there was some more interesting dynamics with sickness and cleansing or not cleansing instead of it just being a damned if you do, damned if you don't situation
-
Just fix protection hits. That's all they gotta do. It basically takes 5+ protection hits to get it now, fixing it would make it actually 3 like it says and then it'd be alright. Maybe grasp rescues should count too just as a nice bonus since it doesn't happen often
-
I play David as survivor because I have all the perks on him and don't feel like wasting the BP getting them on anyone else.
I don't really have a killer I like a lot, I'm still waiting and hoping with each chapter that I find one that fits me well.
-
I don't know if I'd be able to handle yet another stealth killer. We already got 4, that's more than enough. I'd rather have something a bit more unique. I wouldn't want another teleporting/phasing killer either. We already have 4 of those as well, 5 if spirit counts. Literally half the killers in the game have one of those two things in their power
If his power wasn't stealth or teleporting though I'd be cool with it. I wouldn't want it, but I'd be okay with it.
-
I don't think new chapters and bug/balance fixes are mutually exclusive, let's be real here they got enough devs to do both at once
Also new chapters are what I retain interest in this game for, without them the m1/loop simulator would get too boring and I would shrivel up and die. And I'm still waiting for a killer that fits me like a glove, each chapter I always hope that it'll be the one but no luck so far. Without them doing a chapter not only is that longer I'll have to wait for the next killer but each killer after that would be 3 months later than it would have been otherwise
