Billy himself is a crutch he’s pretty much all you see at high ranks? It’s relyed on and there for a crutch.
Forgot to respond to this, Billy is not a crutch again for the reason that Billy is FAR from unbeatable. Billy suffers from loops and pallets just like most other killers. And just so you know, Nurse is actually better than Billy, so if killers were crutches then wouldn't everyone play Nurse?

You've been coddled and you're entitled. No survivor should be able to loop a killer for three generators or more. The reason they can is due to exploit abuse (pallet looping) and OP perks. In future, how about learning to hide and juke instead of playing fearlessly because you know DbD killers are weak as piss and your God perks will save your griefer ass. Like insta downs, speed addons and BBQ and ruin all the crux you use.
I begining to think you are just a bad killer main who uses any excuse. You won’t be happy untill survivors are just AI that are easy for you to beat. Oh so neither are the above mentioned for survivors just so you know, I forget how easy it is to just change the meaning of a word to suit your position A crutch, is a perk or item that gives you power without consequence, BBQ you still have to chase survivors down and down them, it doesn't do it for you. Insta-downs have some sort of downsides to them, Billy his very liitle control during his sprint, Leatherface has tpo chase survivors down before his chainsaw is useful and Myers Insta down is limited. Speed add-ons are actually getting nerfed with tinkerer changes and even then, with speed add-ons you have to still meet the conditions of if you didn't have
No one ever defines a crutch as a consequence related thing. A crutch is something a person depends on hence the term crutch. Yes' and this dependence comes from lack of consequence Not at all, you can say they all have a degree of consequence, and therefore they can’t fall into your definition at all.
you defined limited which some of these are, you said they are being nurfed as are these so they no longer meet your definition
I would ask you then to tell me the consequence of Decisive strike, sprint burst and Self care, vs the consequence of BBQ and insta down attacks
I don’t need to you defined it yourself. You claim limited as a consequence and some of these are limited, you defined control as a consequence some of these can’t be controlled, you stated some were being nurfed and so are these, so by your own definition they aren’t crutches
I have argued that Lithe, Balanced landing and dead hard are limited yes, and I stand by this. The topic you and I are discussing though are crutches. Decisive strike is limited by nothing, thats why it is a get out of jail free card. Self care is limited by nothing, it is and infinite and constant way for you to heal yourself. And sprint Burst may have limitations on the exhaustion but there is no limitation to it's activation, you can dodge many attacks that should have killed you just by using sprint burst.
Your argument is that BBQ as an example is a crutch perk. How so? It is an aura perk that enables you to act on the location of a survivor, but it does not just immediately down them for you, that is something you must do of your own volition.
And if you mean that DS and Self care are getting nerfed then you are indeed correct, but the fact right now is
- When?
- Will the nerf be enough
At this very moment DS and SC are the be all end all perks in the game, BBQ and Insta down attacks are not

Honestly the biggest problem with all of these perks (Minus Dead Hard, which I don't think needs a nerf, especially since it kinda already just got one) is that their existence makes problems that are already problems just that much worse. Namely, maps and pallet/window placement. Sprint Burst is crazy because pallets are too abundant, Lithe is crazy because window looping is pretty impossible to beat without Bamboozle if the survivor is smart, etc. So while I would agree that these perks are way too powerful, I don't think it's as much because of themselves, but rather the state of the rest of the game. Here's what I would rather they do. Just make a mechanic where you can only use it once per chase, but the exhaustion still recovers, maybe with a little leniency if the chase is broken since it's too easy to break a chase just by breaking line of sight (Part of why Bloodlust sucks, by the way, too many times I've followed the survivor perfectly and my Bloodlust just vanishes). Also fix the damn hitboxes so that when I hit someone who's sprinting, my weapon doesn't harmlessly glance them while I suffer a lengthy cooldown. Then perhaps remove about a quarter of the pallets on each map that isn't Lery's or Rotten Fields. Also double pallets are a complete no-no. That could be a good start to fixing the balance. Not perfect, but a start.
I completely agree, and with you mentioning it the biggest problem I have with the exhaustion nerf is actually Dead Hard. We can definitely have a discussion about where Balanced landing and Lithe are at, but Dead Hard is fine so this just unnecessarily hurts it

Funny, as somebody who prefers Lithe, I can't agree with you.SB limits my own mobility between chases. When it's on cooldown, I have to walk. Lithe gives me the freedom to run anytime I want - and vaults are the easiest thing in the world to find - especially since it works over pallets.
All these perks must always be a "once per chase" perk, PEROID
See this is fine, a disagreement is much better to work with rather than an accusation, I personally feel SB is worse because for example if I am Leatherface and I catch someone off guard, I feel I deserve that chainsaw, however if they run SB they can actually get away and my discovery meant nothing. I find this problem is not part of Lithe for example where you have to actually do something to activate it.

First of all, as I CLEARLY said I agree that the game is unbalanced and that killer should be buffed and survivors nerfed, so I politely ask that you don't come in shouting about these things.
Second, I agree that crutch perks ( DS, SB, SC etc. ) should go, but I don't feel that Dead Hard, balanced and Lithe are crutch perks because of their caveats, they are not something that can be used at will, unlike SB.
Finally, the fundamental problems of DBD do not lie in these 3 exhaustion perks, so these perks getting nerfed will change almost nothing for killers. -
I initially was a little confused, but now that I understand I think it would be awesome

-Decrease base wind-up and recovery time.
-Adjust her fast hatchet and haft add-ons so that the end values are the same as now.
-Slightly increase her movement speed while charging a hatchet. It should be close to what it's like with Shiny Pin, and using Shiny Pin should increase your movement to close to base movement.
-When she runs out of hatchets, her movement speed should increase to 115% like a normal killer.
-Give us an add-on that shows a trajectory path/crosshair (like Nurse's blink or Doc's shock add-ons of similar effect).
-Reduce the sound of her humming she hears herself by at least 30%. This would not affect what survivors hear.
-Add more lockers to some maps like Haddonfield.
-Redesign some of her add-ons, particularly Pungent Fiale and Glowing Concoction should do different things as they are useless IMO.
-Fix hatchet hitboxes (this is a biggie but also not a simple fix, put here for completion sake).
-Her second pink add-on should make it so axes stick to walls so she can go up and re-acquire a hatchet she just threw (which would save a lot of time). Only when she hits someone is the hatchet used. For simplicity, there would be no special animation to take the hatchet, it would just be visibly stuck wherever it hit and by touching it she picks it back up.Yeah I like this, was playing her yesterday without wind up add-ons and it was a fairly painful experience
-
Well I am glad this discussion got some attention and it is clear that majority of player don't want her hatchets to be affected. That's cool I was just curious!

I am still extremely depressed that the devs don't even mention LF when they talk about killer buffsYea it's sad, alot of Killers have issues, it doesn't need to take 6 months or so just to buff 1/2 Killers, there can be minor buffs in place before fully rework them
they probably still think leatherface is top 3 killer from statistics at Rank 1
In all fairness id say things are relatively ok at the moment killers don't need much neither do survivors saying this as someone who plays both sides decently especially someone who's been playing the hag before the buffs that are about to come thru. even as someone who mains the "worst" killer in the game at the moment second only to freddy i consistently get 2-4 k's and very rarely be it because of totem RNG or the map being too large get nothing i don't think leather face needs a buff honestly the chainsaw is an insta-down that provides movement speed and the camping insidious build being another or just his BBQC Franklins giving him an edge hes been doing fine as is he doesn't need to be top tier to be a good killer, on the other hand huntress i could see the nerfs being necessary considering that she just corrals you into a pallet or window aiming for the timing it takes for survivors to take action it wont affect anything much aside from the wind up time giving breathing room to survivors which was needed, im not gonna speak about every game because you have to take the games on a play by play basis and peoples play styles are different but honestly things aren't too bad right now we get movement speed for free in chase have more then one way to close the game or delay it and i'm not talking just totems but perks in general not to mention moris and powers that give us a much better edge if you're going to tell me about SWF groups the answer is simple dodge why are you putting yourself at a disadvantage for no reason unless your deliberately want a more difficult game, the only killers in need of some actual love are Wraith and freddy seeing as to how hag and trapper are about to be buffed they should be moving up a tier. the only advantages survivors have honestly is honestly exhaust perks which are being nerfed in the next week and d-strike which honestly is once per game bring enduring or just get it out of the way early and tunnel if you have to they brought D-strike that's their problem. leather face is fine huntress will be fine even after the nerf's the only killers who need love now are Wraith, Freddy, and maybe just a little bit the Pig no one else is gonna need much, i don't see the point in over complicating things by complaining every time a top tier killer is nerfed and a mid tier killer isn't buffed.
OK, so there are problems with this. First of all just because LF has an inst-down attack does not make him automatically a good killer. The issue with LF is how responsive his ability is, which right now, it is very unresponsive. It is slow, clunky, unreliable and has far more downsides to the upsides. BBQ and franklins are perks that can be given to other killers, so you don't need to play LF to use them. The movement speed gains of the chainsaw are abyssmal, he can barely keep up with survivors let alone actually catch them with it. And finally the Insidious LF build is his ONLY viable build and..... it really sucks. It forces you to just hardcore camp which, beleive it or not, most LF players don't want to do.
Next, Huntress is taking a BIG hiot from these nerfs they are giving her. Huntress without wind up time actually feels very slow and weird to use, plus she already has some huge downsides to her ( Huge terror radius, slower movement speed etc ) so she is in no need of a nerf at all, in fact in some instances you could argue for a buff.
Finally, the Hag changes are good, we agree on that, but Trappers buffs are really bad and barely help him at all. They keep him as an add-on reliant killer ( much like Leatherface ) so he is still in need of buffs.

His entire theme is setting traps to catch his prey and he’s been doing it for an unknown amount of time in the name of the the entity - whether this has been going on for centuries or whatever in the Entity’s world.
And he still steps in his own traps. The Trapper should be unable to be caught by his own traps.
Especially with Iridescent Stone coming up, a trap could potentially open right under the Trapper’s feet while he’s in the middle of a chase and make him lose the chase because of such a ridiculous thing.Don't know if this would be the popular opinion, but I agree with you. After all the Clown can't get affected by his bottles ( I think he can through a glitch but that is a glitch so yeah )

For SWF it got harder to genrush, loop and annoy the Killer. The killer has a better oppertunity of killing a survivor. Yet all killers that have played for a long time, tend to camp/tunnel, wherefor escaping gets quite hard without certain perks. As a result the killer is mad because they use those perks, and then start using their own great perks and still tunnel. It would never be solvable but if the killer is able to get an easy kill, then that's a 25% chance per match. If the Killer chooses to tunnel you, you're dead. It's from both sides (survivor and killer) unkind and I wished the dev team would make the game so that you cant stay next to the hook when someone hangs on it.For SWF it got harder to genrush and annoy the killer? Please explain that (Also a SWF is supposed to annoy the killer? Lol)
Btw, as survivor you are not entitled to survive

Isn't it in the name survivor xD
And btw what I meant was that you can get f*cked over too easily if the killer is (face)camping and tunneling.Yes a killer can secure a single kill, but not multiple
So there's a 25% chance you die, at least
If A killer camps, then they are waiting at the hook. This allows survivors to just complete the gens without fear of him coming over to them. Camping and tunneling are just as fine a strategy as not doing so. There are upsides and downsides to it
So if you get facecamped every game, which is a fine strategy as you say, you would still enjoy the game?
Yes, because I play a lot of killer, I understand how insane it can be to face survivors and ty to play legit.
I'm not saying facecamping isn't annoying, what I am saying is that it is completely understandable in the current state of the gameHope they find a way to change it in a good way for both sides
This we can completely agree on

I don't know whats going on, and I don't want to. First of all to say killer is too powerful is, and I use this word seriously, delusional.
Second the Myers build you mention here is only useful on Lerys or Gideon Meat plant, if this build worked outside of those maps then you were facing abyssmal survivors. Survivors being terrible is a survivor problem, not a killer one -

Yeah I don't think insta down is the way to go, but removing collision while you are carrying a survivor would be great
-
It is very interesting because Dead Hard as a perk doesn't need a buff, BUT they are doing an extremely harsh nerf to it with the exhaustion nerf so I don't really know why this nerf is affecting perks other than SB to be honest

Just had a game where an optimal survivor was able to loop me for 5 gens straight, it was in the broken asylum loop and he had additional jungle gyms with perfect window placement around the [BAD WORD] house. Can someone please tell me what to do? I even stacked bloodlust 3 but was not possible to get him without breaking the pallet because the jungle gyms where to close to each other.
Please I am open for advice, after this game im insidious leatherface now waiting for some advice from you guys, oh and playing nurse is not a solution btw
It's a sad, unfortunate answer I have to give but the best advice I can give? Learn the Nurse. She is frustrating to learn but once you do, she is a hard counter to Looping

Won't be long now before survivors start calling Make you Choice cheap
-
I have been told that I was reported multiple times for body blocking someone in the corner and just immediately chainsawing them. I'm just waiting for one to tell me that they have reported me for not chasing them when they want me to. Don't worry these are empty threats

Leatherface has one important statistic and one alone, and that is his rev speed. If he gets anything less than full Tinkerer by default, the freed up perk slot he receives is irrelevant because his power will fail to function, and whatever perk he equips instead cannot make his power functional.
Reasons rev speed is so important:
- Breaks pallets faster
- Hits survivors before they get to windows
- Hits survivors before they get to pallets
- Hits survivors before they get to a large, loopable structure that he can't chase around because he'll Tantrum
- Faster movement speeds (spends less time in his slowed down revving state)
If we take the huntress changes as a benchmark, then his addons will even be nerfed

I am still confused as to who at BHVR thought nerfing the Huntress was a clever idea

Ok so I recently started playing Mr. Owner-Of-Barbaque and Chilly and I need some tips. When should I chainsaw vs smacking them with my hammer? Is it useful to use NOED on him or use that perk slot on something else? What are some crazy builds I can do with him (I like to spice things up every once in awhile)? If you really want to play LF, however, you need to master camping.
And by Master Camping, I mean mastering the timing you have to have to come back to manage to get a multiple hit chainsaw, which isn't easy to manage, because you have to make the survivors to think they have TIME to save, while they don't.Well in this case then, I'm the lord of the harvest with LF because I always seem to time this strategy perfectly

He needed buffs the devs however won't do that until next year due to their scheduleHe also need ultra rare addons and base buffs
If this actually turns out to be true then I am going to be an IMMENSLY disappointed LF main.

Pretty sure if Laurie and Mike's mom used DS then she'd still be alive.Unless Michael was using Judith's tombstone against her...... which would be kind of strange considering she wouldn't be dead yet
Stopped reading or caring after that lupus comment....
Wait wut? What did I do wrong?

Aight, that's an issue. Gameplay wise that is a bad spot for a trap though....
It's a glitch and it happened very often for any Trapper mains
Also with The Trapper Buffs, He is still extremely relying on addons, Devs mentioned that he should have base capacity trap increased somewhere on this forum and it didn't went into the PTB. Just why?
His core on picking up one trap to the next is tedious and time consuming, time are lives for the killers
it's just a QOL changes that can improve trapper drastically, otherwise you are forced to take Trapper Bags every game since his default carrying trap capacity is still 1
I think he should natrurally be able to carry more traps without add-ons, it certainly doesn't fix him but it helps.

I like this, the only thing I would add personally is that if they try to go throught the hatch while a trap is on them, it still kills themI'm ambivalent about that. On the one hand, sure, it makes sense that the hatch would do that; it's still an escape. On the other hand, it could lead to trolling (put a trap on the last Survivor, he can't get up by himself, can't check the boxes, can't do anything except choose how he dies), and I don't think it's exactly fair to be able to put a Survivor in a situation where they have to find a box whose location the Killer knows instead of the hatch (which is anyone's guess as to where it is).
Hmm yeah i actually hadn't thought of that.
Still is annoying that they can escape though lol
I get it. Her power is already weak because Survivors have a say in whether or not it triggers and when it triggers, not to mention the fact that it requires Survivors to be caught before it can be used, but on the other hand, the hatch is usually only available as a last resort. Furthermore, the situation I described could become ubiquitous, and I'd rather not give players more tools to be toxic.
Yeah, it is just depressing to see killers such as Pig and Leatherface not really get much attention from the devs
-
These Tinkerer changes are a big blow to the already weak Leatherface as well
-
Oh goodie, we are now at the point where it simply not enough for them to release A mediocre killer and then nerf him/her.
That killer now is able to nerf himself

Clown isn't even THAT powerful. He has horrible map pressure from lack of any mobility based abilities

"but he doesn't break the tradition of survivors having power over him rather than the other way round"
Exactly this is what makes him a bad killer if we are honestYeah I mean i prefer him to a lot of the other killers in the game but, if i'm being honest, he's not Nurse or Billy so he's not that great to be honest

Trapper is still underwhelming.
The fact that survivors can run besides a trap, while you cant is just ridiculous.I had hopes, but was dissapointed.
At least my hag purchase will be rewarded now
Yeah lol, it feels like they are trying to keep trapper add-on based which is a terrible way to go if you ask me
