Even after the proposed nerf to self-care, it will still be the best sustain perk in the game

Let's have a tiny bit more of mechanical realism. The fact that Leatherface's chainsaw is presented as a already powered up and running, commercially available unit should indicate a Slightly or Moderately faster charge up in comparison to Hillbilly's cold starting, custom built chainsaw.God I never actually thought of that lol

I agree but what would Thrill of the Hunt do?I mean it obviously would still increase bloodpoints and increase clensing time, but maybe it could add some sort of stealth factor to totems. Maybe you don't know which totem is the hex one until you cleanse it?

Leatherface has one important statistic and one alone, and that is his rev speed. If he gets anything less than full Tinkerer by default, the freed up perk slot he receives is irrelevant because his power will fail to function, and whatever perk he equips instead cannot make his power functional.
Reasons rev speed is so important:
- Breaks pallets faster
- Hits survivors before they get to windows
- Hits survivors before they get to pallets
- Hits survivors before they get to a large, loopable structure that he can't chase around because he'll Tantrum
- Faster movement speeds (spends less time in his slowed down revving state)
Agree. Recently been playing LF with Carburetor and Primer and I have to say it is a real help to him. It's bad though that he relies on them
-
Yeah, now that you mention it, it had been weird on multiple killers, I have just noticed it more on clown recently
-
I think a better system would be periodic ( albeit easier ) skillchecks. After all they are a big part of the survivor mechanics anyway
-
Hmmmm.
Chainsaw when they are in the open or at a hook trying to be altruistic, hammer around loops and pallets.
NOED can help him but he already has an insta down attack so it's not too vital, I like shadowborn personally because it give you more FOV to use the chainsaw a bit easier.
Builds are not strong with LF. The reason for this being that majority of his add-ons are terrible.
But there is always his infamous basement build, Agitation, Iron grasp, take them to the basement and then punish anyone who tries to go and rescue -

This happens reque and move onThis quote saddens me. That it's said and that it's said with such a casual tone because this is just expected. Killers get bullied on a regular basis. Playing killer just is not fun. Especially at higher levels. Survivors have just too many tools to abuse killers and too many second chances to both avoid being downed and to make being downed irrelevant.
But killers have BBQ and Chili, right?
Couldn't agree more.

Worst part is even if you play in medium lower ranks players like ochido deliberately have alt accounts to fk with the ranks system so you will get matched with them. Was looking at his videos recently to get a handle on how his kind play and I noticed his rank was 20 with the rest of his friends having a scattered ranks. The map you mentioned is the worst and is probably the main reason for defeat even players like true talent struggle on that map. If you want to get revenge pick up nurse. We all are going to have to if it means sending a message to the devs that we aren't playing the loop game.Yeah, I actually don't play Nurse right now but I am SERIOUSLY considering learning her when rank reset happens. It's just really bad that it has to be this mentality of " Really good survivors means I have to play Nurse "

Jeez, I never even knew this happened.

Ok, so let me set the scene. Coldwind farm; Torment Creek. I am Hillbilly I spend a couple of minutes searching around for a survivor and find one. Chase happens for a few mins and then I chainsaw her, IMMEDIATELY a survivor comes in with a flashlight and saves her with perfect timing. Ok so it's annoying but we ALL deal with flashlights so I shrug it off and get back to it. So I then find a different survivor, chase happens and I get her down by the cow tree ( the awful loop ). Pick her up, FLASHLIGHT, perfectly again. It was a different survivor with the flashlight this time. So at this point i'm thinking SWF so I get more nervous but push on. 3 of the survivors are around the cow tree and the killer shack, the two flashlight survivors are AMAZING at looping so I decide to fo for the weaker link, I chase her for a few mins, get her down and... you guesed it, FLASHLIGHT. So now i'm really getting annoyed, I try to go for the flashlight survivors again but to no avail because it would waste an EXTREME amount of time. While all this is going on btw i'm getting teabagged. So then I decide "ok i'll go away from here and they will follow me". They did and then I tried to get them again away from the really bad loops. Sprint burst. I chase them ALL the way back to the same location and the cycle continues. All the while, gens are getting done from the person that is not doing all this too me. So AGAIN I try to get someone down, again it is the weaker link, and again, FLASHLIGHT.So at this point I am weighing up my options and decide this: I see literally NO path to victory in this game and so, I admit, I quit the match. Please understand i almost NEVER quit games no matter how bad they have gotten, but this was on another level. It was like a well-oiled machine that was perfectly flashlighting, perfectly coordinated and perfectly looping.
So after I quit I look at the perks: 4 DS, 2 flashlights with great add-ons and 4 sprint burst.
And then the messages started coming through. I won't write them ALL but here are a few:
" How are you rank 1 noob, go back to rank 20 "
"EZ" ( This was an Ochido fan just for context )
" EEEEEEEEZZZZZZZZZZZZZ DUUUUUUUUUUDEEEEEEEEEEE"
" Rank 1, wow "
So whether me rage quitting was right or wrong is a different topic of conversation, but my point with this post is that:
- I was in a situation with no clear path to ANY sort of victory
- I was against the most toxic team, and build I have EVER seen
- After all this, I'M the bad guy here
A team that tries to take the fun out of the game is nothing new to anyone i'm sure, but the reason they are like this is because they have the tools to be able to. The devs have given the survivors all the power and now this is the result of it.
I am livid and am fearful to even play the game now because of this crap.I had to just get this off my chest because I have literally never seen anything quite like it in a game before, thank you for reading this rant
Peace.
EDIT: Forgot to mention that I asked one of them if they were SWF, they said yes and gloated about it just for a little extra info here
this is why you dont rank up as killer, there is literally no reason to go through this
Oh I certainly will be reconsidering my position after rank reset this week
-
Oh I understand mistakes. I also understand that a mistake as a killer should not be the difference between winning and losing, which it is.
Survivors can make a mistake and it usually has very little impact on their progress.
If a killer makes a mistake, such as picking someone up while there is a flashlight person around, that moment right there can literally be the moment that the killer loses -
@Fluffy said:
When they go diown is not their choice... it's your!
Wait for the right moment, then hit! That's what i do for obsession, i wait for him to be next to a hook so i can dribble himI disagree. Survivors if they want to can have full control of the flow of a game. They go down if they make mistakes, this team didn't, thus they completely had the power in what was going on.
Survivors are the supposed " weaker role " in the game. This is simply not the case -
I mean the theme I am seeing here is that this is a common occurence for people. That is my point for all of this, these kind of games simply should not be possible for EITHER side. I wouldn't want a killer to be able to eviscerate a survivor team at will either, all I want is a fun back and forth in the game where it is a tense fun experience for both sides. But this is NOT fun at all, this is just plain and simple: This team purposely decides to make this game unfun for me, and other people out there which is ridiculous that this is the state of balance in the game

I am livid and am fearful to even play the game now because of this crap. You can easily avoid such kind of games. Just look at the players in lobby, if they have more then 2 flashlights you can leave and wait for the next wave. Or you can take some usefull perks, like "Lightborn" or/and "Franklin's demise". Personally, I rarely have such a problem, because in most cases the survivors fall next to some walls or obstacles (because you know, pallet loop). So I can just bury my face in the wall and safely grab the player.
Well this is what i'm saying though, it was SWF and they were told to not go down near walls so that was not really an option

Have you tried playing with Freddy? Flashlights can´t do much to him, unless the flashlight users are in the dreamworld. Freddy is weaker than Billy, but since no one uses him on high rank, survivors don´t know how to react to him.I understand where you are coming from, but Freddy is just far to weak ( right now at least ) to to much of anything. Tbh even if freddy would have helped the flashlight situation, it would have made the looping situation worse

@White_Owl said:
In that case slugging would have been the smartest choice. If you can't get the weakest one, use him as bait to get the others. Once you manage to down or hook the guys with flashlights their strategy crumbles. Not saying it's easy, but it's possible to face a team like that.
Honestly though, the ragequit is justified by the 4x SB and 4x DS. It hurts just reading about that.Oh god yeah.
Hurts even more playing it lol

Drop them near hooks and if you carry the non obsession DS users, count to 6 and hook or do one dribble then hook, depending on where the nearest hook is. As a Billy you should be destroying teams like this if you play correctly and smart. I love going against these types as it's usually a guaranteed win.
That being said, Torment Creek is an awful map and one of the worst. But, you could have and should have killed them all.
Uh, no. I cant pick them up near walls because they are being told " Don't die near walls"
So that then means I cant do anything about DS becasue they don't even need to use DS
And I don't know what drugs youj are on, but NO killer can deal with this crapDid you read anything else I said? Slug them and/or bait the pick up, turn and down more. You have ways to play around their nonsense.

The only way would have been to try to eventually slug.
But there's pretty much nothing you can do against this. If you pick up, you're wrong. If you don't, you're also wrong and usually waste too much time to be viable. The solution would have been to find a wall to stare, but in most coldwind map, you cannot, and even so, DS would have done the job and waste too much time and allow people to run in the cornfield.
Not to mention SB makes everything overly safe against a chainsaw, and pushes the chase time by too much to make slugging attempts viable, for the most part.Yeah thank you for understanding man, I was worried I might get some hate for this post

But like I say this is what PTR's are for.
@IronWolf115 I decided that survivors and killers alike will be okay with LF having a lot of power while having limited use on Bubba's Chainsaw! I've done the math, assuming no human error! It'll take 1.5 charges to charge Bubba's Chainsaw to 100% and keep in mind that since your using charges to charge Bubba's Chainsaw, it solves the 115% movement speed while revving his chainsaw argument as he'll run out of charges eventually. With 8.5 charges left on Bubba's Chainsaw, you can do a 8.5 second chainsaw Sprint which in my opinion, that's really strong! However I balanced this out with a resource meter so you don't have this much power 100% of the time as you'll need to wait for Bubba's Chainsaw to get above 2 charges to at least START using it. Overall I think LF will become the true close range punisher that he's meant to be if this was actually tested on the PTB!
Hmmm, I am now more convinced! Yeah they really need to test changes like this on the PTB. That of course applies to all killers but LF feels very left out right now so thats why I keep on making LF posts.

I’m seriously considering coming out of retirement to show these new age Killers how it’s done.
NOED is more of a choice thing, people take it or leave it.
Ruin is a requirement at high rank. I have had countless games where I won it literally because they couldn't find ruin. -
@Nickenzie said:
Actually, I been reading your LF posts and I wanna know your opinion about my suggestions.Bubba's Chainsaw:
-Has 10 charges.
-Takes 3 seconds to charge Bubba's Chainsaw to 100%, each second charging his chainsaw will spend 0.5 charges.
-LF movement speed will remain at 115% while charging.
-Upon release, LF will go swing his chainsaw in front of him, each second his chainsaw swing is active, it'll spend 1 charge.
-LF can cancel his chainsaw swing by tapping the attack interaction key with a 1 second animation followed after the cancel.
-If Bubba's Chainsaw runs out of charges or LF bumps into a object, LF will enter a 3 second tantrum with limited movement.
-Cannot START charging Bubba's Chainsaw when at 2 charges or less.
-When not using Bubba's Chainsaw, regain 0.5 of a charge per second. This will be displayed around your chainsaw power icon, exactly like Myers Evil Within progress bar.-His terror radius will remain at 32m because LF is a close range punisher so survivors need to know when LF is coming so they can avoid 1v1's in tight spaces.
It's very interesting, defenitely something that would be a good test on PTR. My only concern with this is that it while it certainly would buff LF in areas, it would also cause some limitations in terms of the fact that his chainsaw runs on a resource unlike Hillbilly who wouldn't have these problems still. This is going to bring a new definition to camping. Might as well just DC on a small map like The Game because you'll never be out of teleportation range.
Edit: Bolded the part people seem to miss.

Urban Evasion actually helps Hag a lot.
Please, feel free to use UE against my Hag anyday, I'll be VERY thankful. How so may I ask?
You usually trap Juking spots, not gens. As Hag, you want to teleport during CHases to get free hits. People using UE out of chases actually help you not to trigger the trap and letting them for when they're useful : when someone runs into it while chased.
UE can eventually help someone to unhook faster, eventually, and get away from the hook faster. Will still be a 16 meters terror radius with a (soon to come) 40 meters range to teleport, doubled by a possible MYC, which can be decently hard to deal with.
yeah I should have worded it better, I actually meant that Urban Evasion is powerful when you are trying to rescue a hooked person, my bad.
It helps for the unhooking part, it's not quite a hardcounter tho. It's helpful, just as it should be, similarly to BT when playing against other killers, basically, or we'll make it, that are pretty decent options against her/any killer really. (BT ain't great against Hag tho due to reduced TR obviously)

Ok so Nurse and Billy are perfect if you can play them.
Myers- 20% faster EW stalking to add more pressure on the survivors so you know that ur in for it.
Huntress- You should probably make the hatchet windup time 6% faster and maybe just let the hatchets go flying when u press the button it'd make her perfect.
Pig- Idk about Pig tbh she's ok but maybe she can crouch/stand up faster so teabagging with her is more doable (jk) she should actually have no noise when going out of stealth because a pig tried to pick me off a gen but I heard her going out of crouch and managed to escape.
Leatherface- 5% faster speed when charging chainsaw so he's not a joke when you play him without addons.
Wraith- 10% faster movement speed when uncloaking or decrease the time of it. So he can really have some pressure and just let the guy walk through walls when invisible because that'd put him from the worst to a decent killer.
Freddy- Oh boy he needs too much buffs so I'll just say time to go into dream world goes from 7 to 4 seconds and in the dream world he can teleport past a window or something to give him more control of the map in the dream world. (thats probably too op)
Trapper- His current buffs are fine but maybe he should start with 2 traps so he doesn't waste too much time
Clown- If u hit them directly with a bottle toss it should be an instadown anyway so he can be a very good killer. Then remove that addon for the instadown if u directly hit them.
Hag- No clue but maybe her current buffs are OK.
Doctor- He's good enough rn I'd be terrified if he got a buff.I like you Leatherface suggestion, that would be one step closer to making him a viable killer

So your answer to SC is to buff medkits? ROFLThe power level of survivors is so vastly above killers heads that they need to be brought down, not buff other things to be just as good. You shouldn't be able to 1v1 the killer. Pharmacy is how strong SC should have been.
Pharmacy is trash. Self care doesn't really make survivors very strong. Actually, it gives more reason for killers to use perks like NC and Caulrophobia. And I don't see how Self Care helps survivors 1v1 the killer. Sprint Burst does. DS does.
I think though that it is actually a bad thing that a survivor perk forces a killer to use a certain perk ( Nurses Calling ) just to try to deal with it. I think self care should be nerfed to a point where it has it's uses, but doesn't FORCE killers to use NC.
