As we all know, Hex:Ruin was completely changed in the last update. So far i've only played survivor since then in order to complete that half of the tome II challenges. But I decided to work on the killer side. I played a round as Spirit on Gas Heaven, and boy, let me tell ya.

The ruin change has really hurt my fun. I played normally, non-toxic, as if ruin were the same as it used to be, and I got dunked on by these survivors. They played well, but it felt so much worse for me than if old ruin were being used. It stayed up for a few minutes! But that meant nothing because even on a high mobility killer, I had trouble keeping them off gens. I couldn't imagine playing on a bigger map such as rotten fields.

Sure, you can say that since i've only played one game since the update that I can't say anything yet about the change, but I don't think that's true. It took me only 1 game with a pretty good map and skill-matched survivors to realize that this ruin change was the wrong thing.

People have been quite for the past while on the forums, but that is only because they know that the change will never be reverted. There's no point wasting energy on something futile right? i'm going to keep fighting for this - for all the killer mains and players who know that this was the wrong thing.

I think this change couldve been good if it were either a) an entirely separate perk or b) changed after the gen speeds/swf advantage is addressed.

BHVR changed the one solution to a big problem instead of looking at the cause of the actual problem. Ruin was not the cause, it was the only solution. Killers are now being destroyed by survivors with any level of skill just because the devs wanted new players to have more fun. Just because they couldnt hit skill checks. What's the point of spending 100s or 1000's of hours getting good at something just for it to be nerfed to the point that a rank 20 with 10 minutes of playtime could do it?

This game is hard, and it's supposed to be hard. I could accept that when I first started. It was hard, but I got better and sucked it up. But now new players are being babied just because they aren't good at the game in the first 10 minutes.

TL;DR: The ruin change was a bad idea and it has taken away the fun of killers because the fun of new survivors seems to be the dev's priority.

Sorry for the long rant but I really think this change was poorly timed at the very least. This game is gonna lose its veteran and seasoned players because it's too easy for survivors to win now.

It always happens the same, sadly it's nothing new. Old players with thousands of hours get a big ######### you from the devs with every patch to please unskilled or new survivors, therefore ruining the fun for high ranked matches. I stopped playing for months ago, they will never change the way of thinking they have.

It's a very miserable, incel-type mentality. Instead of moving on, you choose to 'punish' people that have nothing to do with your frustration. Good luck in the real world.

Its probably not those survivors fault this big nerf to ruin, but it was acomplished by the whinnes of other survivors in the forums. So he's not any evil person. Many things that happened to killers are all fault of survivors that want overly unbalanced and easy matches instead of getting good.

I have witnessed every nerf the devs did to killers since the game launch. And for me the overly unfair nerf to the nurse and a few other are the water drop that spilled the glass. And now they nerf ruin... its unbelievable how this people ruin their own game slowly.

The game is far from being fun for many killers, and this dudes just continue to reduce the number of useful killers in the game. Cutting down the variety. Hope one day they realize before it's to late.. I personally prefer to play every other game instead of dbd in it's current state..

  • @Sinner5Gonn4Sin said:

    I'm kinda puzzled.

While gen speed looks alright for early to mid game, it sounds overly strong when killers are hitting late game, the part of the match where they already are the strongest ( Less generators to pressure, less pallets on the map, higher chances of people being on death hook ). Late game builds would become even stronger too.

Now for the healing debuff, would this be from being healed, healing another teammate or both ? Not even that, perks like Sloppy Butcher, Nurse's Calling, Thanatophobia, Coulrophobia would become exponantially stronger and the first two really don't need to be impowered.

And last but not least, the vaulting speed part. While the opposite mechanic exists in the form of a combo of TWO perks to make you vault faster, this is kinda messy to begin with. The game is not coded in a way that allows such fast actions to be cutted short easily. Essentially, what it does is removing some frame off the animation. Take apart those two perks, and the result is even less accurate and doesn't provide you that much speed, people on Youtube already made some testing around it.

Now admitting that BHVR would put some work around it and banalize those numbers to make them accurately fit the description ... You might also have to forget about input delay but that's another topic. Let's talk about killers' lunge, keep in mind that by the exact time your unaltered fastvault travels over an object, the killer's hurtbox can close a gap of rougly 3 meters. Basically, when a survivor is on death hook, unless he fastvaults windows, every lunge towards them will become a guaranteed hit, simply because since vaults minirework, you keep your momentum after a fastvault but not after medium ones, so you end up just by the end of the window after a medium vault where you get to a safer distance after a fast one. Not only that, but some safe pallets would all of the sudden become unsafe for the sole purpose of being on death hook.

On a gamesense note, I do not see how it would prevent tunneling, since after each hook you basically become an easier target.

Well i think the part of not encourage tunneling is clear when you look at the reduction speed of gens. If you try to hook as many survivors as posible, instead of hard tunneling one or two, the team will gradually reduce their effectivenes. So the killer will get an incentive for hooking others instead of following you all the time. Therefore this mechanic will promote fair play.

About the healing reduction, it can be taken away from the idea like the reduced vaulting speed, but i think is more interesting this way, as it adds a bit more balance and realism/inmersion to the game.

We don't know how it would turn out if the idea is given a chance by the devs, maybe killers will still tunnel survivors and take advantage of the slower vaults, but they will lose the opportunity to apply more pressure if they still do that. But i definitely think that something like this should be tested in a ptb to see how it works, and from there tweak things.

With the numbers i gave the more affected vault is the medium one no doubt, but here you can think two things, one: that doing fast vaults will be more rewarding, and two: that some loops will be shortened when you do medium vaults, and when talking about that i don't think is something bad, there are loops that you can make the killer follow you up to 3 times or 4 if hes not skilled.

And lets not forget that we are talking about a status effect here that only applies when you get hooked up to 2 tiers, 12,5% for the first time and 25% for the second in the example. So if not something that will take effect everytime or will be there as an annoyance like old ruin.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1021756#Comment_1021756

I mean, if the numbers are too short, it won't really prevent tunneling, on the other end if they are too high, that's a straight up way to buff killer OVERALL, where they already can be too powerful chasewise ; especially since latency is an issue at the current time, you're forced to predrop pallets as a survivor otherwise the killer could be hitting you before getting stunned at a quote on quote perfect timing ; and you would still be utterly screwed by the size of certain maps.

That's nonetheless an interesting view on how to balance the game, but it's risky. And devs have already shown us that they dislike taking risks ( Just look at MoM [deserved] nerf, or maybe it was called a massacre back then when protection hits were broken and the perks they added to the game with that last chapter release )

I think the % reduced can get a decent number taking into account that you must be hooked to get the effect and its individual for every survivor.

    For example:

Hooked one time gives a 12,5% repair/healing/vaulting speed reduction to that survivor

Hooked two times gives a 25% repair/healing/vaulting speed reduction to that survivor

    It would be like this..

    Gens:

You get hooked one time: 12,5% speed reduction, gens will need 10 additional seconds taking into account the default repair time 80sec

You get hooked two times: 25% speed reduction, gens will need 20 additional seconds.

    Healing:

You get hooked one time: 12,5% speed reduction, healing one health state needs 2 additional seconds.

You get hooked two times: 25% speed reduction, healing one health state needs 4 additional seconds.

    Vaulting:

You get hooked one time 12,5% vault speed reduction:

Fast vault: It will take 0,0625 additional seconds to vault. Default being 0,5 (half a second) 0,5sec+0,0625 = 0,5625 seconds in total wich is imperceptible.

Medium vault: It will take 0,1125 additional seconds to vault. Default being 0,9 (almost a second) 0,9+0,1125 = 1,0125 seconds in total, slighty noticeable.

You get hooked two times 25% vault speed reduction:

Fast Vault: It will take 0,125 additional seconds to vault. Default being 0,5 (half a second) 0,5sec+0,125 = 0,625 seconds in total wich is slighty noticeable.

Medium Vault: It will take 0,225 additional second to vault. Default being 0,9 (almost a second) 0,9+0,225 = 1,125 seconds in total, wich is slighty noticeable.

    Conclusion:

It may look too much but actually it isnt' and this example shows it well that a 12,5% and a 25% reduction to repair/healing/vaulting speed after getting hooked isn't a gamebreaking thing at all. And the most noticeable part in added seconds is the gen repair time only.

This is only an example anyway that can get tweaked, but it would be interesting to see something like this in the core mechanics.

I'm pretty sure they aren't afraid anymore, if this was you daily life you wouldn't too.

As for getting creative idea on how to balance the game, it's nice, don't get me wrong but it's more than likely that it won't happen, small tweaks from here and there would be sufficient enough.

Yep, despair is probably what a survivor would feel after many trials for being trapped there forever..

And back to the topic, it may not fix every flaw the game has but it can be an start. Its up to the devs to hear our suggetions.

I personally, im not playing the game very often lately, because im not liking the course is taking. It promotes too much toxic playing from both sides, and a game in my opinion should be fun and not stressful. But that may be just me, its true too that after 1600 hours of the same one can get bored or tired.

  • @Sinner5Gonn4Sin said:

I always thought why a survivor require 3 hooks to be killed and can get fully healed whithout any downsides for being pierced by that hook 2 times before death. Are they mutants that can regenerate?

They are wandering in a realm where they can get killed multiples times in a day and still go back to the Campfire, what did you expect ?

Well its not like they cannot feel pain or fear because they do. So apart from being a balance suggestion, it would fit well that the hook could apply an annoyance to them.

Whenever I verse a nurse, I run for her like she's a goddamn unicorn. The chase is mine and mine only! :)

I used to play her a lot, she was challenging and different but not anymore after what they did. They literally made her the queen of turtles.

  • @IronKnight55 said:

I'm rank 2 right now and haven't managed to pip yet. Games are over in 3-4 minutes. Killers relied too much on Ruin. They have no idea how to play without it. I am a purple rank killer right now (I'm playing more survivor at the moment, was rank 1 before) and I got 4Ks with Clown against red rank survivors. Sure, It's more stressful now, but it can still be done.

I don't think killers relied too much on ruin sinceraly.. most of the time it was a placebo effect againts gen tapping and survivors with mouse buttons skillchecks. It never was a real challenge or overpowered like some people thought.

That most killers equip it doesn't mean it was powerful, it talk about how quick the gens are done and the struggle of killers at stopping them.

And the mayor weakness of ruin is and was being an hex wich most of the times gets nuked in 10-30 sec. The nerf they did was pointless, its like covering with more trash an already useless perk.

I think the devs should try to balance the game around game core mechanic and not around perks so much.

I actually JUST finished the Trapper one for 5 traps. These are do-able.

I think all challenges are easy with the exception of unhooking 2 survivors during the EGC. They really went nuts with that one.

  • @FriendlyGuy said:

Why should they? They did the same thing with legion. Nurse is fixed now aka no one is conplaining anymore.

Probably because almost no one play her anymore. If no one plays her, then survivors don't have anything to complain. Shes buried forever.

  • They are completely nuts if it was just one survivor ok... but 2 and in the same trial hahaha. They really don't want us to finish this tome lvl.

  • Nurse at 65% in red ranks.... suuuuuuuuuuuuree. Maybe if you play like a psicopath, toxic, and have nerves of steel. What a wonderful way to "enjoy" a game.

  • Wow goodbye STBFL, it wasn't even that strong you lose a lot of tokens when hiting the obsession and you don't really cut a very significant distance but anyway the devs do it again.. *omega facepalm*

Is there a killer that can benefit from this mid tier perk anymore? because i think legion was the last one.

A nurse can indeed catch up with a surivior running in a straight line. All you have to do is wait for your blinks to be fully capable of using then just blink to them.

As for a surivior dodging, if you are a good nurse and put yourself in a certain position. There is no way of a surivior dodging your attack unless they have dead hard. Nurse is like playing check, the surivior is the king and you are trying to line yourself in the position where the king will die in any stand point he is in.

However, I do agree nurse isn't the most enjoy able killers(far from it), but to say this nerf is really bad for her. Is a major exaggeration considering nurse kept her power of always winning games. Problem is she is quite boring but if she gets buff we know that suriviors would complain and she will just get nerf again. So you must think to yourself, what do you expect from the nurse if she was to get a buff?

Nope you can't catch them unless they are dumb. The thing is that good survivors will never be at hit range when you blink, if they have brain, the nurse need's to be able to blink again like before (without waiting for blink charges) to do something. Waiting for fatigue plus charges everytime is a huge time consumer, big enough to give them a great distance between you.

Right now you can only hit them if they make mistakes... and thats not how it should be. If you play the nurse now, you will see that survivors dominate her in every way. Just play in red or violet ranks.

If there is one thing i would want the devs to change for her, is removing the waiting time for blink charges, that was a huge and unnecesary nerf.

  • @arslaN said:

Ruin isn't meant to last entire the match. Making it permanent isn't really a good idea and it's still a bandaid fix.

I agree with that. But definitely something must be done to slow down gens. It's true that if you don't have ruin, probably after you down someone and get your first hook 1/2 gens will pop and that talks about how bad the balance of the game is. But this is not new, it has been always like this. Survivors aren't perk dependants like killers are.

  • @CrowFoxy said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/843623#Comment_843623

Yes. It's GREAT that they made her extremely unfun and boring with a recharge that allows you to run in a straight line and she will take forever to catch up.

Play nurse at high ranks :)

True words. People just hate her because you can't tbag her behind a pallet and they don't see the reality.

  • @Fibijean said:

I'm not a Nurse main. I'm not even a killer main. I've barely played her. But it sounds like the rework changed her kit pretty significantly. Is it possible that part of the reason she seems so weak currently is because people who have gotten used to how she plays, who have developed that inbuilt muscle memory or second nature or whatever you want to call it, are naturally having trouble adjusting to a new playstyle with her?

Yes, she's weaker, but maybe she's not as weak as she seems. Perhaps she can become a solid high tier, if not top tier, killer again simply by giving her some time to get used to.

Nah i don't think she would be top tier again unless the devs reverse something. I tried her horrible addons (yes they are worse than before) and the most profitable way to play her now is give away your blink power for a 4.6 speed and be a normal m1 killer after the first blink.

Only in that way you can get 1/2 kills depending on survivors skills in red ranks. And obviously that sound awful right? Be so addon dependant, and no matter what build you try she's unfun in every aspect. Shes even more stressful than before, too much punishment for so little reward..

Why be stunned with fatigue, have to wait for tp charges when you can just give them the first hit much faster with a m1 killer like legion, pig or trapper and even get more kills? Shes a mess that no one will play, i don't play her anymore, they killed her.

  • Top tier killer looks like hes over-performing pls nerf..

You forgot the desync power: "once you hit the active button key cause exhaustion without triggering the perk"

Pretty good servers so far :P

  • @Derp said:

I think Legion is underrated only because the majority think he's the worst killer in the game when he really isn't.

It's true, i play legion a lot. He's not obviously top tier, but definitely pass mid tier. And pig while her power (traps and ambush) aren't very good, if you take advantage of her undetectable state while crouching she can do interesting things.

  • @NMCKE said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/842377#Comment_842377

There's a difference tho, Nurse is still way more powerful than Legion because she can still bypass the survivor's defenses.

Legion can too, but you can't down survivors with FF because it would be too cheesy! He needs some QoL changes to his button add-ons. 😁

Hey Nmcke again with that? Saying that "she can bypass survivor defenses" is a very vague argument to say that she is better than most m1 killers. Shes VERY EASY to avoid (and yes i have to put in in caps because you don't understand or you are just denying the real thing here)

ALL you have to do as a survivor is run, even in a straigh line you avoid her, and you know why? because she always have to wait for 2 blink+fatigue+charge time to try a hit and btw 2 VERY short blinks with no addons.

You are just denying the real thing dude, I can get 2 or 3 kills with my p3 legion and my p3 pig and i play in RED ranks. I can show you pics if you want... My nurse is p3 too and i played her hundreds of hours and mastered her before this nerfs. So it not a matter of skill, she's really under the level she should be.

  • Yep they ######### up the nurse. Try to play her now in red or violet ranks, it's horrible... even by try-harding you will mostly get 1 kill max. She's worse than legion and pig right now.

  • @Peanits said:

To say that nobody asked for changes is objectively untrue. It doesn't take much searching to find a whole trove of videos, threads, and comments about The Spirit. I think you're missing the point of the argument, it's very rarely about how powerful she is, it's about not being fun to play against. You cannot tell someone that they're having fun when they're not, that's not up to you to decide.

If you want to argue that a video game shouldn't be fun to play, I'm not sure what to say at that point.

Hey peanits, if you guys at behaviour are taking into account the fun factor above everything else.. care to explain me why they made the nurse the most un-fun killer so far? Because it looks like when talking about killers you guys forget about that.

  • @Haku said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/829044#Comment_829044

Well ofc she isn't same as before. That was the whole point of her rework geez. The old nurse needed to go and .. she did. Nurse has always been hard to play and I always see players talking how bad this is how bad that is but in the end in majority of the cases it is always about lack of skill

And I don't really know what is this bullshit about running in line ? She clearly can still blink quite the distance. If a survivor who runs in a line gets away from a nurse I don't really kow what to think about the nurse. I just don't see this working

Pufff.. lack of skill you say. Im one of the few people that played her sin realease and i have more than 1500 hours in the game. I assure you that's not my case... and if this new nurse is terrible for me imagine how bad she is for new players.

I'll tell you one more thing.. Bad game design. Clearly the devs run out of ideas or don't play their game at all. This new nurse is not even at the lvl of a trapper in red ranks, not only shes not destined to competitive anymore but also shes very un-fun to play and you get too much punishment for a non-existing reward other than entertain survivors while you look at how miserable her life is now.

  • Lol I feel pretty much like that when that toxic swf team don't see it coming ?

  • @arslaN said:

Those stats are all ranks overall.

Currently, spirit has 3 kills or possibly even more per game on average according to the devs. I don't know which ranks are these stats from though.

Thats the problem when they come up with "balance" updates.. they end nerfing killers for rank 15+ survivors, and don't take into account red ranks. They always do that.. and thats why i personally don't like every "balance" update they announce because it's never a slight change, it's always the same story that repeats.

  • @YaiPa said:

Nurse nerf (read rework) didn’t affected at all good Nurses main, but clearly for people who aren’t the best with her, is much more difficult.

I love how some people take out of their hats statements like this.. if you think shes the same as before you can't be taken seriously.

She's unplayable and unfun for the majority, both skilled and new obviously. You just need to search the forum and you will see. Or wait until the devs have her new data if they are willing to share it in a near future.

  • @Gibberish said:

Playing against new Nurse is like watching a crippled old dog trying to do something and failing repeatedly. Its not fun or entertaining, its just sad.

How BHVR thought this was a good idea baffles me and it only serves as a living testament that you should never expect BHVR to properly balance this game.

Lol sad but true. Shes not faster than a crippled turtle. I really pass from playing her until they revert something, shes more stressing to play than before but this time without a reward, you just watch them run, while looking at the floor and waiting for the cooldown to recharge blinks.

Her new skin is overpowered honestly. You'll 4k instantly if you have that skin equipped.

No doubt, but don't tell the devs or they will tag her as overperforming for sure.

  • @FriendlyKiller Thank you for being honest about the new nurse. Most people are just happy about the place she is now and don't take into account the real thing at all.

All you described is true. She's unfun, barely playable and definitely not up to survivors level. Anyone that tried her in rank 1 know that she can't reduce the gap between survivors, and they don't even need to be very skilled.. as you said it's more easy to know where she is landing now and waiting for the tp cooldown + getting fatigue it's too much.

It really feels that the devs don't play their game when they come up with changes like this.

I don't understand, if any killer has some sort of "edge" over the survivor, instead of adapting and learning counter play for said killer, everyone cries for nurse, I'm a survivor main myself and while spirit is infuriating I have never once felt like she was "unfair" or "impossible to counter" maybe if everyone in the community grew a pair and learned counter-play to a killer instead of calling for nerfs because the killer isn't a basic m1 killer.

It's more easy for them that way.. Why equip ironwill? why equip spine-chill? why turn up the volume/get a good pair of headphones and hear her footsteeps? When they can just come here and cry "nurf this killer" instead of learning how to play the game.

  • @Endstille said:

I will post this here, i was in doubt about making another thread or including it here but i am lazy so yeah.

However it seems fine to uncap fps now, so I did. I played nurse this weekend, only without addons. Can you still 4k? Yes ofc you can do that. There is a big but(t) to it, before you were able to be a very agressive killer and to me that is no longer the case. You had the mobility and the chase thus you were able to play fair and entertain the entitiy, now that is no longer the case and you will play the most scummy boring efficient way possible. At least that is what happened to me.

Before this rework you were able to hook a survivor, travel the map, let them unhook, patch up and you down someone else. Now I am like, yeah I know there are 2 ppl here, lets find that other guy and put him on hook too. Slug if you see 3rd coming for unhook. Game over.

Lots of survivors simply have no clue how to mindgame nurse, how to play against her. This rework does not change that nor does it make matches more fun. It just makes everyone miserable.

Why play that way? Well simply due to the fact that using the power now comes with a downside, you feel punished for just traveling the map thus you want to make your blinks count and use them as efficient as possible. I can't express how I dislike this cd, to me they ruined the whole musclememory one had with that killer. It just feels very frustrating, you either charge a blink a bit too early and boom you will watch somebody run cause you do not have that 2nd blink up or the server isn't registrating that blink and you blink one meter.

Why wasn't the bug fixed where you hear her spamming blink constantly while charging the blink until she lets go? Seems lazy.

Prenerf I actually had lots of nice comments from survivors who enjoyed the match probably due to me not playin as efficient as I could and being rather fair. You know not tunneling, not camping or whatever. Now? I think it is safe to say that none of these survivors did have any fun. So pretty good job there, making sure nobody has fun when the killer is a nurse.

I understand that there had to be changes due to the addons which made everything possible on that killer, however even with those addons bad nurses would still be bullied by survivors.

Now we have this killer that can be strong once in a chase but against good survivors you will have a very hard time (no idea how it is with addons). Not just because of the cd but because of the servers, the reappearance which makes it so easy to juke her (imo from survivor view).

People who claim the killer ignores all survivor defenses are wrong since the killer never robbed survivors of their movement but in order to last long in a chase vs a nurse you had to mindgame alot and understanding the killer too. That is just gone which makes me sad.

Any big map, any map with LoSbreakers will give you a very boring match. Due to that "new" playstyle. Basicly you forced all nurses to play a very boring game. I have literally no idea why anybody that didn't play nurse before should start playing with her now. Every mistake gets punished that is really great for beginners. Why would you bother to play that when there are so many killers that do not require you to have such frustrating experiences? I think good nurses compensate that but to me the killer feels utterly horrible due this forced upon playstyle.

I am not saying that the killer is garbage now but I seem to have a very diffrent opinion on fun than any of the developers.

    Looking at addons:

Lazy again. This is like the keyword to this whole rework, lazy. Why? Well somehow you state you wanted something to prevent the spamming of blinks, fatigue was that adding a cd on top of that with the same reasoning seems dishonest and not logical, why not simply increase the fatigue? Was it too hard to change the numbers? No but because they needed stupid addons, moderately decrease cd, we like cds and that is lazy.

Stridor in an addon, yeah well idk, i never used stridor or actually i did and that is why i would never equip it on a nurse since you think people are like right behind you even when they are further away.

Than this utter nonsense talking about how old addons were screwing the musclememory of people ( yeah right and that is why you had 0 problems to do that same ######### on the basekit screwing the musclememory of all nurse mains) ontop of the addons that exactly do that again.

They screw the musclememory, decrease lunge, decrease range, randomly go where you blinked from or blink ahead. Didn't you dream about being a 110 or 115 ms killer since there are none of that in the roster? Well now you can do that too as nurse, yay.

    So conclusion:

Yeah the nobody gonna have fun killer. I literally had more fun playing any other killer and that is just sad not because I didn't win but because of this horrible playstyle. I hope the pickrates for this killer stay as they are right now, but this is going to change after spirit's slight tweaks and you will see just how unfun this killer is and how lackluster this rework is. Imagine having 0 fun winning as a killer with nurse that is the case now at least to me, rip sally.

Pretty well explained how she is right now. I wonder is the devs are going to revert some nerfs or just leave her in this mess. Waiting for tp cooldown is definitively the worse thing they did. I would be happy to play her again if they just change that back. Now shes too much estressing and unfun to play.

  • As much as i love too, Capcom is a serious company. I doubt they will negotiate with behaviour. They need to get better in many aspects.

Nurse is still the strongest killer. The cooldown for her blinks is barely noticeable, and as long as you're accurate with your blinks, the nerf won't even matter. You'll still dominate survivors as long as you don't mess up your blinks. If you don't believe me go watch OhTofu's "New Nurse is Still Insanely Good" video.

Those survivors belong to rank 20.. he didn't equip any gen rushing perk and they only did 3 gens.. that speak by itself of how bad they are. If you are going to take that video seriously... Ill lost faith in humanity

Oh and btw, that vid is a PTB video.. people don't play seriously in PTBs.

Can we stop talking about spirit getting "nerfed"? or how she doesn't need one , the developers literally have data showing that she is over-performing. Her getting tweaked wont make her unplayable, if anything it will just make her skill ceiling higher.

And another thing, people keep comparing her getting nerfed to Nurses rework. Nurse is perfectly fine now! the only difference is Nurse actually takes skill now! You cant just throw on omega blink addons and clap a 4 man SWF anymore.

They said the same about nurse and look what she become.. a mid tier killer at best. "Perfectly fine" you say.. either you dont play her in red ranks or you are fine with her being gen rushed and only able to hook 3/4 times in a match at best.

    This isn't going anywhere good.

    lol 10/10 comment.

@Irisora hahahhaha i have 800 hours in the game, 500 of which played ONLY nurse and 300 survivor. No addons, no ruin, rank 1. She is still insane. Maybe you used to play with omega every game because you wanted ez wins. Nono, not anymore. Work your socks off or go play another killer.

Nice troll post kid. And btw i almost never used the "omega" blink. If you really played nurse so much you will know that those aren't her best addons.

  • @justarandy said:

Nurse is not capable to dominate highest play against swf, her basekit is unfun and very punishable (you basically get punished just by traveling the map or searching survivors) and her addons are (besides 3-4 of them) absolutly dogshit.

I second that, she have to many punishments, shes not only unfun but also a lot weaker againts skilled survivors. Even some m1 chaser killers perform better than her in rank 1, and i'm not new to her, i played her since she was released.

  • @Raptorrotas said:

Sorry, but when the devs have to give her 2 speed limiters, the visual indicator and 2 "perk"-addons, the devs clearly ran out of ideas for useable addons.

Case in Point: being punished with being a 115% killer for 60 after hitting a survivor... Why choose to play nurse when you wanna chase at 115% after a first hit, play wraith or Legion instead. The UR version with 4.2m/s makes atleast somewhat "slightly" more sense.

OH. right before the patch hit live, they also nerfed the cd-addon, so she cant even get back to "old nurse".

And the best part about the nurse rework is that ALL discussions ive yet seen about the topic fail to include the reworked blink-reappearance: Nurse is now visible "slightly" earlier after blinking before being able to attack, making it easier to dodge her, adding more to the nerfs to her chase potential.

"Nurse is now visible "slightly" earlier after blinking before being able to attack, making it easier to dodge her, adding more to the nerfs to her chase potential."

Thanks for pointing that out. A lot of people don't take that into account either. And added to that we don't have anymore the faster blink movement addons: the old anxious gasp, old dull bracelet, and the old white nit comb. They replaced this ones with dumb bloodpoints addons.

She's 2 times more easy to dodge with that nerf and the changed addons. Those addons made alot of difference in red ranks. Now she feel underpowered againts skilled survivors.

Pig hasn’t received enough nerfs either. Make it so she can put a trap on her own head so she can kill herself :D

lol i think she would do it if she could... poor piggy.

  • The addons that could be useful for this blink charges nurse are gone.

    The old anxious gasp:

    • Considerably increases the Blink Movement speed.
    • Moderately decreases the Blink Charge speed.

    The old dull bracelet:

    • Moderately increases the Blink Movement speed.
    • Slightly decreases the Blink Charge speed.

And the old white nit comb:

    • Slightly increases the Blink Movement speed.

Without those her blinks are very easy to avoid, and having only one range addon instead of 3 force people to play always with that rare addon (heavy panting). Do you think that's a good way to balance her? I don't and by her base kit shes very bad at practically everything unless is a wide open map or survivors are dumb.

Once again you are saying "she can ignore the survivors' defenses" and that not true entirely. In the open when you have line of sight yes but when you blink thought a wall, you are testing the survivor skill and if he is a rank 1 survivor i assure you that you will have a very hard time at downing them. And again this blink charges don't help at all at reducing the distance between them. Blink charges are the worse thing they added making her very bad at map control and chasing.

And about the lunge, if you haven't noticed anything maybe you don't played her too much before the servers and the nerf update because the shortened lunge it's there at its very noticeable for me, plus the "phantom hits" bug with hitboxes it's still here and the devs never fixed it yet after months.

  • It looks like you are talking about another nurse in a parallel world. Almost everything you said is not true. Her addons good? they are trash, worse than before.. most of them just gives you more bloodpoints and with a handicap, why someone would ever use those? its silly.

They taked out the faster tp travel addons, deleted all range addons and just added one with a huge downside in charge time. Others are Legion alike poop addons like increasing screaming after a hit for 60 sec and nurse calling for 60 sec.. totally worthless addons.

The reduce fatigue addons don't compensate at all the tp charges, survivors have it very easy to avoid the new nurse by just running. She's more slower than a crippled turtle, you have zero map control and by the time you down someone there are only 2 or 3 gens left.

In what world are you playing dbd and in what rank ? Because shes trash in rank 1-2. And right know every other killer perform better than her in those ranks.

Oh and i almost forgot... the lunge has been shortened, either by the changes they made or server issues, making her even more hard to achieve a hit.

is it me trying to bait or is it me not being able to take someone serious who tries to tell me that the strongest killer in the game would be garbage tier?

ive been discussing this exact same topic over and over again. in the end, ppl will not want to give in and rather end up throwing the exact same argument at me over and over, turning in endless circles, so i wont even start a pointless discussion in the first place.

fact is: nurse, with her base power, is still able to ignore any defenses survivors have and end chases ridiculously quickly without really leaving survivors with any real counterplay to it, this has never changed. you just wait 3 seconds longer before you can doubleblink now.

Saying that shes able to ignore objects its not a valid argument at all. Right now the most profitable way to play her is using spasmodic breath taking away your blinks, and that talks by itself. Blinks are garbage.

First of all im talking about her by playing in rank1-2. And i can tell that shes in an unplayable state, the lunge has been shortened either by servers issues or shadow nerfs, and those terrible tp charges makes imposible to reduce the distance between survivors.

Teleporting through line of sight blockers its a lotery, you are too slow at tp traveling for getting a hit and you don't have addons to increase that like before, its very easy to avoid as a survivor and you will probably miss or have to wait for a tp recharge and while doing that they are miles away.

    Only mashochists play her now.

  • @asdi_vasdi said:

Hahhaha if she really was your main you wouldn't have noticed anything. She is still the same, nothing changed. I have 500 hours only on her and she is still the queen of dbd.

You probably play in ranks 10+ with dumb survivors or you are lying. Shes trash right now. I prefer to play every other killer instead.

They really shadownerfed her lunge? I'm not sure, but i do miss a lot of blink lunge after update. Or is it the byproduct of dedicated server?

Its incredibly hard to hit now it may be a nerf to her lunge or a server issue and/or both, if it is a server issue is a very serious one because i play with not a bad ping 65ms.

I played her since her release and i can assure that her lunge is not the same anymore. Shes in an unplayable state, short lunge, short tp range, slow blink travelling, and those horrendous tp charges makes imposible to reduce the distance between survivors and tp through line of sigh blockers its a lotery, you are too slow at tp travelling to hit and you will probably miss or have to wait for tp recharge and while doing that they are miles away..

Crearly the devs dont play their game at all...

  • @LetsPlayTogether said:

Nurse isnt dead. Those who used to play her regularly and belonged to their rank still play her without any serious restrictions, cause they could easily adapt to those slight changes. Those, who didnt belong to their rank and/or just played her because she was performing far to good, are just sulky and now play Spirit until she gets changed too, then probalby drop dead cause there wont be any SS-Tier killer anymore. The low appearences at the moment are mostly due to those sulky players. The Nurses you still see are still powerful enough to do their regular scores.

Nice joke men, you do parties? I love how you just bring up another killer that is decent at the moment and have plenty of counters but require actual skills to play againts wich many survivor mains don't like, and you just want to nerf her and make her a clown like the new nurse is right now. Is for guys like you and incompetent devs that this game will dig their grave someday.
