They really want people to use Windows of Opportunity
The pallets should be bright and colorful. 2 stand out. with this its hard to see them so chaining tiles is much harder.
maybe thats what they want but they shouldn't do that

Or make them exclusive 2 the new map.

They could still allow survivors to 360 with the intended turn rate, by holding down the shift key and cycling through the W/A/S/D keys.
you are also comparing it 2 the blight problem. completely different strengths

If you honestly think 360s are easily counterable, they why would you care if they were removed?
Because that would change movement in a whole. they tried in that one god awful patch we all remember. movement is fine

This has gotta be such a broken mechanic in the game. Any other killer who uses there power to injure you you get a speed boost (and overcome triggers) but plague just doesnt. IMO this makes plague the strongest killer in the game and the most boring because its just Vomit, infect, injure, instant hit, death.
Why is this still a thing when it would be so easy to fix by giving the speed boost on injury due to any killer action.
Plague is very strong, but no need to nerf her

ngl i play a lot of killer and honestly i never vault
vaulting for killers is the most useless thing, mainly because it doesn't give you anything you can't even close the gap with it, yes can be made better with perks but ain't talking about those
(and nobody is gonna run the same damn vaulting build 6000 times so for the love hell don't say things like well u are looking at superior anatomy or bamboozle IK THEY EXIST but again perks aren't suppose to be a core thing they are suppose to spice the gameplay)
how about making it so the more bloodlust the killer has the faster the vaulting speed, this could make those jungle gyms and even some dumb loops in maps really dangerous, this will not be a buff to high tier killer but mostly low tier, like ghosty and piggy, etc
but of course it shouldn't stack with perks, or maybe it should
Bloodlust is already a mechanic that rewards a killer for playing badly. they don't need to make it stronger. in fact it should be removed

Continuing a series of threads on the least picked perks according to Nightlight, next up is Ada's perk Low Profile (0.64% usage)
Low Profile - When you become the last Survivor standing, this perk activates. Hide your scratch marks, pools of blood and grunts of pain caused by injuries for 70/80/90 seconds.
As a stealth effect this perk is pretty solid, having no scratch marks or blood or injury sounds for 90 seconds is quite a long time to be difficult for the killer to find. Of course it doesn't hide auras, but you could easily combo this with Distortion or Sole Survivor for instance and if you're the last survivor I'd feel kind of sorry for the killer trying to find you before you escape!
The other nice thing about the perk is you don't have to be the last "living" survivor, just the last one on your feet. Which means that it's possible to use this perk to, for instance, save one of the other dying or hooked survivors and get away from the scene while you still have that 90 seconds of stealth. And, assuming the devs eventually implement the Last Survivor Standing mori system they experimented with a few weeks ago, that could actually help you avoid the killer instantly ending the game if they can't find you to trigger that final death on your down. Likewise that new slugging system where survivors can stand up on their own after 45 seconds with no perk or sooner with Unbreakable, etc, could hypothetically allow Low Profile to trigger multiple times a match if the killer is trying hard to slug players and the Last Survivor effect keeps turning on and off. Note that Low Profile's duration of 90 seconds is constant, even if someone stands up soon after it triggers, with no cooldown or limit.
The reason, though, this perk isn't popular is pretty simple - it comes across as mostly a "save myself if everybody else dies" effect. It's the same reason Left Behind and keys don't see much use, they're only useful if the survivors as a group have already lost the game and you're just trying to get yourself some extra points and a consolation prize by at least not getting killed yourself. A lot of players, though, feel the survivors should be treated more as a group for wins and losses, playing altruistically to save each other for instance, and kind of dislike the notion of hiding when the going gets tough so that maybe you can get out.
It will be interesting to see if the new team-based MMR they announced last week will have any impact on Low Profile and similar perks. If the new MMR, for example, is such that the survivors go up or down based on how many of them escape (e.g. if 3-4 escape then they all go up with the amounts varying based on their relative rating compared to the killer and vice versa for 0-1 escapes) then that could have an impact on how people perceive perks which primarily let you personally escape after everybody else dies.
I'm hesitant to have much of an opinion on whether or not this perk needs a buff since I'm pretty sure its lack of popularity is more about how players perceive survivors winning and losing as a group versus whether or not the perk actually does its job of helping you escape in a lost game. It's quite possible that the perk is actually ok if you look at it solely from the perspective of helping its owner escape, and it might even be slightly better once the Last Survivor Standing and slugging system goes into effect in some form in a few months. But hypothetically if the devs did want to buff it, some possibilities would be
- Increase the duration to even longer than 90 seconds. 90 seconds is certainly a long time but I could see some instances where if a killer is doing a slug heavy game early on then a longer duration could mean the perk lasting a larger chunk of the match.
- A larger change might be to make the perk give you its stealth effect for a shorter time every time a survivor is downed. So instead of being super stealthy for 90 seconds at basically the end of the game, you get 20-30 seconds of stealth whenever a survivor is downed. That would make the individual effects weaker since the duration is much shorter per trigger but it would allow the perk to actually maybe help the survivor out much earlier in the game with hook rescues and such.
Dont even know why it has a duration. it should be unlimited when the last standing

This is my 5th concept for a chapter, taking inspiration from the horror game series Fatal Frame, coincidentally from the 5th installment in the series Maiden of Black Water. Hardest part was thinking of a way to add the Camera Obscura into the concept, but I think I found a decent balance.
Please let me know what you think! Gave up on links and just did my best to throw pictures of the characters in instead.
NEW KILLER: THE MAIDEN
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/FNRAPWE862ZV/ose.png
Name: Ose Kurosawa
Gender: Female
Nationality: Japanese
Difficulty Rating: Hard
Movement: 4.4 m/s
Weapon: Dark Miasma
A blue miasma cloud that bursts with powerful spiritual energy. After hitting a Survivor, The Maiden will curl her fingers, recalling the miasma.
Mori: The Maiden conjures a large black casket filled with black water, while spectral limbs drag the Survivor inside of it. The casket is sealed shut as the Survivor screams for help trying to escape, drowning in the process as they struggle.
Lore:
"Originally from a small village on the other side of Katase, at the base of Mt. Hikami, she was the sole survivor of a flood that killed many people, and the incident left her with the ability to see things others couldn't, forcing her to take a position as a shrine maiden on the mountain. When her time came to enter the casket and become an Immortal Flower, it was decided that she would serve as a Great Pillar, supporting the mountain and preventing black water from overflowing from the Shadowspring.
Ose went on to perform her ritual, entering the casket willingly. Once the lid was closed, however, she was flooded with the feelings of all of the shrine maidens being massacred. Her spirit was tainted, and she turned into an evil ghost, forever waiting for someone to die with, or accept her memories so she could be at rest.
A presence called to her from beneath the Shadowspring, a malevolent force that persuaded her, taking advantage of her request. Descending deep into the darkness, Ose's spirit had begun to fade into a new realm; one where she is able to spread the pain and misery she has suffered and find one person to end it all with."
KILLER POWER: black water maiden
A dark rain showers, drenching the Trial Grounds with pools of black water. The waters enhance one's spiritual presence overtime, luring ghouls to haunt the living.
SPECIAL INTERACTION: SHADOW-TOUCHED
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/2MPPSAYLTZ7K/shadowtouched.png
Shadow-Touched are ghosts who will spawn in random locations and will roam the Trial Grounds to haunt Survivors. There is a default number of 3 Shadow-Touched that can be on the map at any given time, and their Aura is revealed to you in white.
The Shadow-Touched cannot inflict damage to a Survivor on their own, however, when they attack they will cause a Survivor to scream.
A Shadow-Touched can be blinded by a Flashlight, giving Survivors a chance at evading their pursuit.
Shadow-Touched will respawn 15 seconds after swarming a Survivor, or after 45 seconds if they were exorcised by the Camera Obscura.
SPECIAL ATTACK: SUMMON GUARDIAN
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/9WP2VLWS6AAK/guardian.png
The Maiden starts the Trial with 2 Tokens.
Press and Hold the Power button to charge an attack, then tap the Attack button to summon a Guardian on the ground directly in front of The Maiden. If a Survivor screams within a 10 meter range of a Guardian, their location will be revealed through Killer Instinct. The Guardian will respond to any Survivor within a 12 meter range of them, readying to attack them by lunging their entire body towards them, moving around any obstacle if necessary. On a successful hit, the Guardian will take a Survivor's Health State and will disappear from the Trial Grounds even if their attack misses.
A Guardian's Aura will be in revealed in white to you. Survivors can avoid detection by crouching or walking out of the Guardian's line of sight.
A Guardian will remain at the location it was summoned at for 20 seconds, or until manually dismissed by The Maiden by pressing the Active Ability button. There can be up to a max of two Guardians at any given time.
A Survivor can interrupt a Guardian's attack by stunning them with a Pallet, but they cannot be destroyed in this manner. A Guardian stunned by a Survivor will reveal their location through Killer Instinct.
SPECIAL INTERACTION: CAMERA OBSCURA
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/RE0DGFY4OZGD/camera-obscura.png
The Aura of the Camera Obscura will be revealed to all Survivors 45 seconds into the Trial. By collecting energy from a Generator, the Camera Obscura can be powered for the Survivors to use. With the item equipped, a Survivor can expend its charges in order to:
- Exorcise a Shadow-Touched roaming the Trial Grounds.
- Exorcise a Guardian summoned by The Maiden.
- Stun and/or Blind The Maiden.
The Camera Obscura requires 8 charges to use its function, with a total of 24 charges. For a Survivor to use the Item, they must aim it in their intended direction for 5 seconds. A powerful flash of light will be fired from the camera within a 30 degree cone.
If The Maiden sends a Survivor holding onto the Camera Obscura into the Dying State or finds the item first, it will lose all of its charges and be sent to another location within the Trial Grounds.

A Survivor will scream to reveal their location when they pick up the Camera Obscura, and suffer the Oblivious status for 60 seconds. The Maiden herself becomes immune to the power of the Camera Obscura.
KILLER PERKS
The Maiden comes with 3 unique perks.
HEX: GHOST MARRIAGE
A ritual that binds the souls of two beings together so that they could be together in the afterlife.
Hex: Ghost Marriage will activate on a random Dull Totem remaining on the Trial Grounds after you hook a Survivor for the first time:
- The hooked Survivor suffers from the Cursed and Broken Status Effects until Hex: Ghost Marriage is cleansed.
- For the first 60 seconds, only the Cursed Survivor is able to cleanse the Hex Totem.
- The Aura of Hex: Ghost Marriage's Hex Totem is revealed to the Cursed Survivor within 24/20/16 meters.
The Hex effects persist until its Hex Totem is cleansed.

Images of death flashed in front of me. I could smell the choking stench of death. -Ose Kurosawa
SCOURGE HOOK: IMMORTAL FLOWER
You are armed with the tools to keep your enemies closer to death.
At the start of the Trial, 4 random Hooks are changed into Scourge Hooks.
- The Aura of Scourge Hooks are revealed to you in white.
Each time a Survivor is unhooked from a Scourge Hook, the following effect applies:
- The Survivor will be placed in the Deep Wounds state.
- The Survivor suffers from the Exhausted status for 30/35/40 seconds.
"The maidens were shut in boxes filled with Black Water. The water brought them close to death and gradually eroded their bodies. But if their resolve was strong they would retain their physical form."
NEW SURVIVOR
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/HEUYDV72RXB8/yuri.png
Name: Yuri Kozukata
Gender: Female
Age: 19
Nationality: Japanese
Lore:
"When Yuri was younger, her family died in a traffic accident, leaving her the only survivor. As a result of the accident, she was left with the ability to see ghosts. She visited a doctor, and they stated she was cured, but shortly after, she started to have visions of the undead again. Yuri went to Mount Hikami and attempted to end her pain by jumping off a cliff, but was stopped at the last minute by a young woman by the name of Hisoka Kurosawa. The two became close, and Yuri eventually ended up living with Hisoka in her antiques store, Kurosawa Antiques.
After a series of requests to search for missing people, Yuri is spirited away by a strange phenomena while she is resting inside the shop. Her new whereabouts are unfamiliar, yet are very reminiscent of the twisted nature and horror she has experienced. Well yeah its just part of the game the year has nothing to do with it.
I've never understood the "it doesn't belong in 2022 DBD" statement, its not some progressive social structure, its a game about being chased by a monster in a slasher flick scenario, the nastier and more threatening the monster the more exciting the game.
"Its 2022 there should only be un-scary safe survival horror that's always fair, why because its 2022!" If you dislike/misunderstand the confronting and potentially unfair nature of asymmetric survival horror that much, why play it?
Fall guys is a fair game and great fun for the whole family, I love it, maybe that's more your kind of game.
Can we stop trying to bring realism in this game?
its a super unfun mechanic. Does not matter if it makes bubba more threating. the game shouldn't be balanced around realism.
and when has DBD ever been a horror game? past the first week of playing?

"the person on hook isn't allowed to play the video game at all" - this is a common misconception about DBD. Hanging on hook is considered gameplay, its part of the game.
"Non-participation" either being slugged or hooked is one of the threats you face as survivor and part of the killer's ability to build pressure. The more they remove these elements (i.e. built in UB) the less interesting the game becomes overall because there is a substantial lack of threat in the gameplay.
I realize people want a game of loopy chase where they get to feel safe and actively participate in the objective for the duration, but that game isn't DBD and when DBD becomes that it'll be a shadow of its former gritty survival horror self.
Because at that point as survivor, what will you be fleeing from? the answer is nothing, so why bother fleeing?
Its possible to outplay a bubba at the hook, give it a try. The threat he represents can also make for some very exciting plays, especially around the basement.
we still have people defending bubba facecamping in 2022? really

In Overwatch 2 u can rewatch ur latest Games in a spectator Mode wherr u can rewatchthe Match fromevery Character in the Game
Dead by Daylight needs a Mode like this so ppl can rewatch the Match to See there mistakes or to see how the other players was playing also it would be very cool for Content Creators
But the most important Thing of the Mode would be to Check out Cheaters in the Match
1 of the worst Part of the Current State of Dead by Daylight is there are Cheaters that a very Hard to find since they just use cheats to makes the Gens like 30% faster and u never know who was Cheating or if some1 was Cheating it ruins Killer Gameplay
I had a Match as Pinhead whit 3 Stacks of pentimento and a Gens still was finished in like 30 seconds they didnt had any Gen Progression Perks or Toolboxes Not even Prove thyself and the Gen still was Flying sadly i dont know if some1 was Cheating or Not but im pretty Sure there was something wrong
A Replay Mode would help against it since u would See if a Survivor makes the Gen much faster than possible
It would really help with reporting or catching hackers. could also help me get clips that i thought were funny and was not recording at the time

I had a sudden realization that the timing of me getting DBD was in perfect concert with The Office coming off of Netflix. I needed something else to spend my time on.
With the recent AoT and PUBG crossover I've noticed that killers aren't necessarily a requirement for a crossover anymore.
Who would you want to see in an Office Crossover as a survivor? What kind of perks could exist? If there were a map which elements from the show could work wonderfully as tiles?
I'd think Michael Scott would obviously be the main survivor with a Dwight Skin. I could also see Michael be the killer as Prison Mike or Agent Michael Scarn. Obviously Jim and Pam being the main characters in the romance means they would be like the Nancy and Steve of the survivor duo.
Would love to see either Stanley or Daryl as a survivor to be honest. It's downright disgusting that Jane is the only thick survivor so far. We have no juicy men except for the Clown as far as that's concerned and either men would be great to fill those needs.
No idea about perks yet, I'm sure I'll come with some as I think about it more.
What do you guys think? Who and what would you want to see? Could it work?
Well, we do got the "Scranton Strangler" and "Kelly" if that is her real name.
A map would probably be the main office building. there could be a vault between Michaels office and the party room like a broken down wall.
you could even put the Whiteboard as a unique pallet there.
The rest I don't know. its a small building so they could make it feel bigger. or they could add some outside areas but i would prefer if it stayed in the building.
as the main entrance and roof like I said being the "exit gates" with unique door handles or ladder lowering for roof.
New Perk: Dundie
Picking up an item that you have dropped yourself gives you a 5% speed boost for the next ten seconds.
Picking up an item that the Killer or another survivor has dropped Grants you a 10% Speed boost for the next ten seconds.
Picking up an item after opening a chest Grants you a 50% speed boost for the next ten seconds.
This perk has a 20 Second Cooldown.
"Even such a small Rewards fills you with motivation"
the number might need to be changed but it would take skill to pull off, especially if you both drop and pick up the item mid chase
Also helps with the time wasted on chests.

Kinship also still activates and loses time even if reassurance is used unfortunately
